I called this store ahead to see if they had a particular color in stock and they confirmed they did. Upon arrival we find out they don't have it in stock and the color is only available online. This is where the frustration starts. Then instead of using the store tablets or computers to get the phone ordered, they used our phone to go into the tmobile app and order it for us, which seemed to entirely defeat the whole reason of going into the store. Why would I come to the store to do something I can do at home? Then I asked for the activation fee to be waived because it shouldn't apply since we were at the store, but the worker just threw up their arms and said it wouldn't let them without even trying. I had to chat with customer service when I got home to get them to credit us back the activation fee. Then the massive screw up comes along. The new phone arrived and I'm getting the old phone ready to trade in. Turns out the worker selected the WRONG phone to be traded in. I call the store and they said they have to cancel the entire order and do it again to change the trade in phone. This is after I already have everything transferred to the new phone. They said I would have to return the new phone and the system might not even let them give it back to me when it's reordered because the box has already been opened and they can't override the system. I again had to call customer service and they were able to sort it out without having to return the new phone, but even they said they've had this happen before and stores will get it wrong. Needless to say we did not have the painless experience we were expecting to have by going into the store. I do not recommend coming to this location unless you're ready to triple check what the workers are doing to make sure it's done right. read more

This isn't a review for this specific location but rather a review for T-Mobile service as a whole. After being with them for 15 years and requiring a cell spot because of poor reception at my home, their customer service has gone in the toilet and their prices started to exceed that of their competitors. I very happily switched to Verizon with better prices and way better coverage. read more

T-Mobile Minneapolis 9 store really ticked me off yesterday. I went in there to pay my monthly bill in cash, as usual. This was around three in the afternoon. There could not have been more than half a dozen customers there yet I waited a good part of an hour just to hand them money. Just me and my groceries. I could have mixed them up a salad or something... The company itself does a pretty good job. I normally do not have any issues with them. I am aware that there are other ways to pay. Apparently they are not sending out statements anymore. Still, c'mon! With more businesses moving out of Uptown than are moving in, they really need to be at the top of their game. We have had this service for years, until yesterday. I bought a new phone because tech agent said he couldn't get internet back on my old phone. So, I bought one, but before doing that, I explained that my old phone could no longer get internet. So I bought a phone only to discover my data couldn't be transferred because I Couldn't remember my password. I'm 82 and very frustrated that there's no solution to finding my Google password. read more

Briana was wonderful to guide me through my purchase of a new phone. I'd been a Verizon customer since 2000, but I no longer wanted the high monthly bill and the signal was horrible in my apartment. She answered all of my questions and calmed my fears of switching from iPhone to Android phone. The store was clean and they will validate parking. read more

Long 1 hour wait, but once we got to the front of the line the service was helpful and prompt. He was informative and friendly.

It was finally time for my iPhone 5 to die after 4 years of use so when the screen finally shattered, I came right to T-Mobile to get a new one. The 2 customer service reps in the store were already occupied with other customers with lots of questions when we walked in at 8pm on a weeknight so we got in line. Customers kept flooding into the store and eventually, there were about 3-4 people behind us. By 8:45, the one guy was still trying to figure out how to use his newly purchased iphone and the other customer was a kid who was trying to figure out how to get an ipad onto his parents' account...needless to say, the line wasn't moving AT ALL. The customer service guys kept a cool head through it all and somehow addressed all the other customers who were in the store. We left around 9:15, 15 minutes after closing time but they were still diligently dedicated to finishing up with all the customers who had walked in prior to closing. read more

The people that work in this store are friendly and knowledgeable but they work for T-Mobile so there is little they can do. Public service announcement: If you are considering switching to T-Mobile, STOP. Choose literally any other carrier instead. What you are told about promotions will not be true and T-Mobile's coverage while travelling is incomprehensibly bad. Their network is so pitifully weak it is unable to penetrate the roof of my office building in Saint Paul. We are less than a month in and we are ready to eat the cost of the phones and switch. read more

This company does fraud went in to inquire about service with them they were unable to port my number that I had so I left the store and 2 years later I get a bill from Collection from them saying i had service with them. I have never had t mobile in my life or will not ever have service with a company that does fraud. Tried calling the manager but he dont care about the customer he only cares about ripping customers off and stealing their money. read more

If I could rate no stars at all I would. I am truly disgusted with TMobile and how they have handled my situation which I have been trying to resolve since early December of 2020. It started out simple. All they had to do was tell me the truth so I could make an informed decision about my device trade-in. I brought an unlocked Verizon tablet into my local TMobile (Columbia Heights, MN) and asked if I could put a TMobile SIM card into my device to have data when I'm on the go for work. The associate told me no it wasn't possible because the service was not transferable and I absolutely had to get a TMobile device in order to get a SIM card. I now know this was completely false. So I was given the option first for a device I couldn't afford even after trade-in. I declined. Then the associate showed me a tablet that she said was much better than my Verizon Samsung Galaxy s4 64GB Tablet. It was an LG, but I didn't know any better and because it was similar in size and she made it sound like it was a top-of-the-line device, especially for LG and it was only $100 because I had a "qualifying" service. My trade in value was in the mid $200 range, which I didn't think was that bad at the time until I got home and my husband and family urged me to call TMobile and go back to the store to undo the transaction. As it turns out after speaking with a Customer Service supervisor (who was actually very nice) I learned that I had been scammed for a much lower quality device that did not work as I was told. I went back to the store the next day and asked to exchange everything and I would just take my original tablet back, I was told that would be impossible because I "signed" a form saying that I relinquished my ownership of the traded device, and I even offered to just give the LG tablet back because I couldn't use it. But the associate and manager told me I could give it back after paying for it in full ($299) and I also would not get my Verizon tablet back. This would've left me with nothing at all. I do not recall signing any type of transaction receipt or even being asked to sign anything electronically. The manager was ignorant enough to flaunt a copy of the transaction receipt with a forged signature on it in my face. So I took it from him and left. I was so angry and sad at what had happened and I felt powerless. The end result after weeks of waiting for a solution to this problem was that they were not going to return my original tablet, that they were going to "let me" keep the LG tablet, and then they bought me off with another Samsung tablet that is literally the size of a sell phone. I just want my tablet back. That's it! Is that really too much to ask for? I've decided to consult a legal advisor as to what I must do to handle the forgery. There is much more to the story when it comes to them also sharing private account information without properly IDing the person attempting to access the account. I can say that after I've had my legal consultation, I will be switching providers. My friends and family will be doing the same because our security and trust has been compromised. I can only wonder how many other people this has happened to. read more
