T-Mobile sucks for coverage. If it isn't AT&T or VZW in Minnesota, don't bother. You get what you pay for in wireless services

There are often long lines and you probably cannot be seen without an appointment, but the staff is friendly and pretty knowledgeable. I appreciate the good service. I love the T-Mobile Tuesday deals that they offer as well. read more

T-Mobile has become a joke and has been doing everything it can to charge more money. 4 months, 4 phone calls to there discount group, and a lot of random transfers. This is a joke and I will have to bring my services to a different company. They keep trying to delay and mislead. I had such hope for this company but have been let down. I had a terrible experience at this location, T-Mobile in Highland Park on Ford Parkway. Last week, I was doing what I thought was a simple maneuver: switching my prepay service to T-Mobile from another carrier. At the time of purchase, the clerk advised me that I might have a temporary T-Mobile phone# for a day until my own phone# was ported over. I had never heard of that before, but I did not find it unreasonable. The next day, I found that I did still have the temporary T-Mobile phone#. When I called the clerk, she told me that there was a chance that I had shown her an incorrect phone# & PIN. She had me call the wireless company that carried my phone# to confirm that the account# & PIN I presented her were correct. After I re-confirmed with that carrier, I called the T-Mobile clerk back. When I asked her to tell me what account# she entered, I realized that the clerk had entered only 16 digitis of my 20-digit account number! Rather than taking responsibility for her error and working to expedite the port, she had yet a different excuse: she said porting my phone# is probably taking longer than usual because I was switching from a smaller carrier. And, that I should wait yet another day! This made no sense, so I called T-Mobile customer service, whom I found to be unnecessarily condescending and curtly dismissive. As were two out of three of the original clerk's coworkers. Annoying though it was, it IS understandable since they work on commission. Thus they have no vested interest in assisting each other's clients - only in acquiring more of their own. That evening, I had the line cancelled. The port was taking entirely too long; the clerks and customer service kept shirking their duty to assist me completely; and they thought nothing of making me wait indefinitely to regain my phone#. Furthermore, in the brief time I had this T-Mobile line, the coverage was abysmal. The next day - DAY 3, mind you - I went across the parking lot to another carrier. However, we discovered that T-Mobile was still trying to port my number - to a cancelled line! This made it impossible for this new carrier to attempt the port. I was very upset, and the clerk at the new carrier told me to walk over to T-Mobile and demand that they immediately stop attempting to port a number to the cancelled line. He gave me is card and told me to call him if they gave me any more trouble. I insisted the T-Mobile clerk call their customer service - rather than having ME, the customer, do it - and was able to get them to cancel the port. Had I known that a simple, first-tier clerical error - which could have been corrected on the spot - would have delayed the porting of my phone#, I would have asked the original clerk to read aloud, from her computer screen, exactly what she entered as my account#. Yes, I know I shouldn't have to, but I would have to avoid this issue. The T-Mobile clerk should have been able to troubleshoot the problem IMMEDIATELY, rather that putting the onus on me, who handed her the CORRECT account number and in the first place! The fact that T-Mobile would have me wait MORE THAN THREE DAYS to have my number ported over is unacceptable. In case they haven't noticed, Americans greatly depend on their phones and their phone#s. In my case, I am taking care of an elderly relative with health problems. I rely on receiving voicemail messages from his physicians and insurance providers. People were trying to get a hold of me, but couldn't. I couldn't even check my voicemail because my phone number was in limbo! It is aggravating to think about. read more

I rarely write a negative review but this T Mobile location had the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I had an appointment scheduled for noon. When two staff members arrived shortly after that time, I walked to the door to be allowed in. The female staff member rudely said "We don't open until 1." I said "I have a noon appointment." She said "Come back at 1." There was another customer with a noon appointment waiting as well. No "I'm sorry," or "We'll be with you in a few minutes." Nothing. Both of us went to the University Avenue location, where someone helped us with a smile and immediately. Totally different experience at two stores that are only a few miles apart. read more

I had a great experience recently figuring out a better plan for a "home phone," replacing the landline with a t-mobile cell phone. There were three gentlemen working and all of them assisted with getting me a great deal. They were pleasant and communicated very well. I highly recommend their services! read more

Horrible customer service. No greeting! No one said "hi how can I help you?" Took them forever to acknowledge their customers

Staff is always friendly at the store, they are willing to fix problems, but when I or they contact the T-Mobile office for billing issues they never get fixed. I have struggled for 9 months to close my account. They were unable to help at the store. T-Mobile continued to take auto-pay payments from my Credit Card after I closed the account. When I finally got them to stop, after 6 months, they have refused to refund the over billing, and have continued to send me bills. Then, they "suspended" my already closed account, and sent my "past due" invoices to a Collection Agency, as well as receiving multiple phone calls from them trying to collect money that I do not owe on an account I closed over 9 months ago. The fight is on-going. Each person I talk to says the problem is fixed and they will process my refund. And then I get another collection call. Insane. After 13 years with them, paying on time etc. I am going through hell trying to fix this. read more

Made my first purchase in store for a certified pre-owned iphone 5S. They did a great job explaining the program and how it works. I basically got a brand new iPhone 5S. It just didn't come in the official iphone box but it came with everything else. I was also able to borrow a phone until my new phone came in the mail. When I returned the lender phone I got my $50 deposit back. I have been with T-Mobile for over 12 years and have always admired their customer service that spreads from the corporate level down to the individual stores like this one. An excellent experience. The door was opened and held open for me. Danny H came over immediately and asked what he could do to help. I had been having trouble with my contract for weeks with the company. Danny listened to my problem and started right away to try to solve it. Upgraded my iphone 5s to iphone 6 plus and needed help loading contacts and photos. first said I needed to do the upload on my own and so I went home and tried and it didn't work. at the time they had 2 staff and ZERO customers in the store and I had time. after it didn't work, I went back and YES, it turns out they can do the upgrade. it wasn't a convenient time for me and didn't work right .... read more

A few weeks ago I bought a pair of ear buds at this T-Mobile store. Only $15 on sale, but I didn't need anything fancy. Within 2 days of normal use they broke. I'm busy with a new job and I couldn't get across town to run this errand until today. I figured it was just a fluke defect and planned to just get another pair in exchange, but they don't stock the same product any more, so I asked for a refund. Let the adventure begin: the clerk said she couldn't help me because it was past the 14 day return period. I asked for her manager, thinking the manager could override the policy in the name of customer service, especially since it was a defective product. I then spent 20 minutes going around in circles with store manager Anesh Thampi who cited the 14-day return policy again and again and again and refused to help in any way. He also said he thought that I had damaged the earbuds, and so it was really my fault. When I asked for his help to contact his manager to still try to get a refund, he said that "Sarah" was too busy to talk to me and she wouldn't make an exception to the policy anyway. I asked for his help to call and advocate for me with customer service, and he said "I am not going to help you, no one in this store is going to help you." I pointed out that $15 isn't worth it to squander a customer's goodwill when I pay $1000+ a year for my family's TMobile cell service. Finally, I left and did call the 800 customer service number, and a wonderful women named Rhoda sympathized, apologized, and gave me a credit on my bill greater than the cost of the damned ear buds. This store had terrible service, but the larger TMobile company solved the problem quickly and courteously. read more
