Broke my phone 2 days prior to coming here. That sucked. Made it in literally 3 minutes before closing. I asked if they could help me as I just drove from BFE really fast to get there. The girl working there said yes. Sorry I forgot your name. She was sooo Helpful me and my wife both got brand new phones. She did everything herself and just asked need to know questions. It was super fast I got a case a Screen protector for 2 phones and charge cord and I didn't have to do much of anything. It was such a great experience! This is not about the retail site but about dealing with Verizon itself. Purchased a phone about 4-5 months ago, brought it home, read the contract and decided I wasn't interested. Brought it back the next day, never using it, boxed with everything still inside it and paid $29.99 as a 'restocking' cost (yeah, walk into the back room and put it on a shelf). Since then, I continue to get a bill from them, not stating what it's for. In the beginning I went back to the retail store and they called and explained the situation which did not validate them charging me anything additionally. Got another bill, called from home, another 40 minutes describing once again what had taken place and why I don't owe them anything further. Next month and the month after that, more bills. We're talking less than $14, I continue to return them stating I don't owe them anything yet it all falls on deaf ears. Frustrating, exasperating, and maddening - the staff in the store were helpful and did all they could - it's 'headquarters' that need frontal lobotomies. read more

I was promised that the two phones I purchased would be covered under the same $29.99 set up fee (which corporate stores don't charge). One phone was ready and set up, the next phone needed to be ordered. It came in and the person we bought it from was not there. Even though there was an employee there that verified the agreement, no one there would take responsibility to assist me (the customer) because they did not make the agreement. Obviously there is internal payments involved. I am also taking this to the better business bureau for further notification. As the other posts indicate, the Customer Service is non-existent when it comes to the monies they want. I will be going to a corporate store from now on even though it is 80 miles. Better that than putting up with them. read more

Customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. I was helping my son do a warranty claim after talking to verizon customer service several times they explained I should go into the store and they would be able to help me. Two times we went in and asked for help and the young lady refused to help telling us we had to do everything online ourselves. After a week with no help from them we finally got his new phone and we were having issues getting it set up. So after serveral phone calls to verizon and their tech support they told us once again to go into the store and have them call customer service so they could work together to get this phone set up. Before going in a third time I called the store and explained the situation to a very nice young man who told me to come the 45 miles one way and that he should be able to help us. Upon entering the store the young lady that had refused to help us before asked if she could help us. At this point she was on one side of the store and the young man was on the other both just sitting there on their phones no other customers were in the store. We walked over and explained our situation once again to the young lady she immediately says I don't know why they would tell you to come in here I can't help you. I again tried to explain to her what needed to be done what verizon had told me. She took my sons phone looked at the emails that verizon had sent to him and again with an attitude says I can't help you. At this point I asked her why she can't call customer service and get this resolved since he has not had a phone for a week and a half at this point. She tells me that they are not a verizon store they are a TCC store and they only sell verzion phones and that we will have to drive into Portland to deal with this matter. After a few minutes into this conversation the young man gets up and leaves and stays outside until we leave. So at this point I get my phone out and start to call verizon customer service and she proceeds to walk away and said "O your gonna ignore me " I replied no I am calling customer service because this is the worst customer service I have ever had. At this point she told us to leave her store that we were never allowed to come into the store again and she was going to call the cops on us if we did not leave. At this point I did raise my voice and said are you kidding me this is the worst customer service I have ever had and it's crazy and I told her to call the cops as I left the store. As we walked out of the store the young man was walking back in. When I got into my car I called verizon and explained the situation and reported how we had been treated and I was told she absolutely could have called them on there customer service line and helped us get this taken care of. It's terrible that purchased all of our phones from this store and they refuse to then help you if you need anything. Horrible experience I will tell everyone I know never to go there again. read more

I've been to the store numerous times and always receive excellent service. We started going to this location for service, then ended up going back and getting new phones after awhile. They are great in person and if you just call in with questions. They are polite and patient with each of my questions and/or needs. I highly recommend them to others. read more

We recently transferred from US Cellular to Verizon, because eof the 650 per line deal, what a pain in the button that fiasco was! I decided to go back to Samsung from iPhone, employees were/are very pleasant and helpful, even when I screwed up the phone and even they had no clue what I had done, we laughed and got it fixed. They don't have enough people working. Customer service not good. They don't even acknowledge you when you enter even if they are busy. This is the third time I have been there and ended up leaving after a long wait and not getting helped. I am going to Portland. I want to say that I went back to Verizon today. They still only had two people working. There were no other customers in the store. I was a acknowledged right away. There customer service was very good. Maybe it depends on who is working. read more

I visited this store about two weeks ago. I told the sales rep about what I wanted to pay and that I wanted a smaller phone and wanted to pay for it with no monthly payments. The rep sold me a phone that showed a much higher price, but said the discount would show up on-line and also that I could could pay it off with the discount after the monthly amount showed up on-line. Either he was not informed or he lied. the discount was less than 1/2 what he told me it would be and I am not able to pay it in full. I am tied into the monthly payment. When I complained to the manager he would do nothing. I will never visit this store again and would advise others that you cannot believe what they tell you. read more

Just about the most awful customer service I have ever seen. No one even says hello when you walk in. Two were with customers and one was walking around with a clipboard and she barely looked at me...no communication. I walked out again. I am in Portland every week but like to shop local...not this place again, I will shop Verizon online or in Portland. read more

I moved to The Dalles recently and found that Spectrum is a better phone service. Verizon made the process of changing over almost impossible. The store can't do it! The phone service is horrible. Finding a phone number that actually worked was the first problem. When, after 2 hours of repeating all the steps, I finally found a person to talk to, she said that if I did cancel service, I'd lose my phone number. She did NOT give me the transfer pin I needed. She said she would call me back, she did not. Spectrum helped me through the process. I still had to pay an additional month for Verizon and have to call back in two weeks to cancel service. I had been a loyal customer for years but you can bet that I will NEVER be a Verizon customer again. When I went into the store, the man there just kept telling me he couldn't help me with any of it. He was surly and he's another reason not to go to Verizon. read more

I switch from AT&T to Verizon because they had the best deal they have not honored that deal I have wrote several letters and I can't get anywhere because the store in The Dalles is a private own store I even have paperwork the showed what they promise me but that doesn't make any difference read more

I was only in this store once and that was enough. Did my research online before going into the store, so I already knew what I wanted. However, once in the store I discovered that the phones and plans were more expensive than online. So I left and went to Radio Shack and got the Verizon phones and plan I wanted to begin with. I love Verizon. That being said, this retailer for Verizon is not only rude and inhospitable but they scam you into things without giving you the entire information. We originally signed up for Verizon here. My husband set us up with Verizon at this retailer. He asked about insurance because he goes through phones A LOT working construction. They offered him insurance making him pay upfront $200+/- so that we could get a new phone if we broke it, lost it or whatever happened at any Verizon with no deducible and we could do that as many times as we needed. Well that happened...so he went to go into the Verizon where we were living in Bend, Oregon... They DO NOT honor the insurance sold by this TCC retailer. No Verizon honors that insurance. So he had to drive to Prineville, Oregon to the closest TCC retailer. When we go there, they told us that we had to pay a deductible of $180...we were very upset because they lied to us in The Dalles. When we explained to the saleswoman in Prineville she knew exactly which salesman it was in The Dalles just from our explanation. She told us that our insurances begins depreciating over time and we have to pay the deductible's difference.... And so we did, as irritating as that was but then to make things even more frustrating, she told us we can only receive one insurance claim every 24 months!!! Yet another lie. Time has passed and my husband broke another phone and we were told he could get on Verizon edge, I even called the night before and they said as long as we have a working phone we are eligible. So, we find a cheap working phone on Craigslist to exchange. He goes in the next morning and they said he can not "edge up" I DO NOT recommend going to this Verizon retailer. I will drive to Portland or Bend before I go back in there. read more

I have had the misfortune of going to this store several times since it opened. Not once have I left satisfied. This last time was the last time. One associate was helpful, the the other, was completely ridiculous. An 80-year old customer was attempting to purchase a S2 for his grandson. He made a slightly off-color joke (very obviously a joke) about females spending money shopping (or along those lines). The ridiculous associate just started attacking the customer (calling him rude, etc.). Clearly he was making a joke, with no offense intended, and she got seriously bent out of shape. Had she found his rather innocuous comment offensive, she could have ignored him. She chose not to. She berated this 80 year old gentleman in front of his grandson, in front of me, and in front of other customers in the store. If I was her manager, she would now be looking for another job.
