Walked into the store looking to upgrade my phone. One staff member was busy helping a client, the other two were standing on a ladder patching a hole in the wall.. I was not acknowledged at all, or even told "we'll be right with you". I stood around looking at phones/accessories for about 15 minutes then proceeded to walk out. I have to start by saying I have been going to this Wireless Zone location for the last 6 years. It is conveniently located near where I work. I purchased my last 3 phones there. Every visit I had at this location has been pleasant. I didn't have to wait at all for someone to assist me and they made my purchasing effortless to me. My most recent visit I was assisted by Brian. I was having an issue with my text messages and he was able to retrieve the ones I lost. I was beyond happy. While I was there he did talk me into getting a new phone. That was not my intention that day. But I definitely needed one! The phone that I was getting unfortunately was not in stock at that store. Within a half hour the phone was driven to that location for me by Wireless Zone employee. I was super impressed by that. The process took some time and during that time Brian was friendly and we held great conversation. The gentlemen that were working that day with Brian were Ken and Chad. They ALL were friendly, dressed well and acted professional while still giving a personal vibe. I had an issue with something on my bill and Chad (the store manager) called me personally and assisted me with the issue. I have and will continue to recommend this location to people. This has nothing to do the with service that I received but I do have to mention that they are all very handsome as well! I will ad that I work in the Beauty Industry and have for many years. Customer Service, professionalism, appearance and being knowledgeable in your field are things that always stand out to me when visiting a business that provides a service. Let me begin by stating that this store should get ZERO stars if possible. Poor customer service from "Chad", whom I was advised is the distract manager. This store has no accountability for its products since they're just an authorized retailer and not a corporate store, yes my mistake, should have stuck with corporate, lesson learned!! Bought a phone, got the screen protector put on there, bully brand, not zagg (which I had on my previous phone from the corporate store), and the screen protector cracked within days!! I go back within the 14 day refund period to be told that screen protectors are not eligible for return. I would have settled for a replacement while I get to store to get a zagg protector, but the sales rep I was speaking with said he couldn't do it, and tried calling "chad", Chad flipped yelling that it's his day off and he shouldn't even be bothered about this; however there was no senior person in the store to deal with directly!! The point of this review is to warn others to AVOID THIS STORE AND GO TO THE CORPORATE STORE, since they're only a "authorized dealer". UPDATE: So, I have to give credit where credit is due, and say that Chad made good on his end, by reaching out to me the day after this review, and offered to make things right by replacing my screen protector for FREE, and refunded my original one!! I was not planning on buying a new phone just yet but I ended up killing my current phone yesterday and really had no choice except to replace it. I ended up at this store because I also needed to pick some stuff from Whole Foods so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. When they finally got to me and took my account information down, I was told I'm up for an upgrade so he suggested a S5. He didn't even ask me what I wanted so I told him to just get me the S6. So with a two year plan, the phone was $250 plus $40 for an upgrade and another $40 for setup fees. When I asked about the $50 mail-in rebate, I was told "online prices are different and there is no rebate on this phone". So he asks me what I want to do? I looked at my smashed but still working phone and said "I'm going to AT&T" ( not that I would ever do that) and he just crumpled up his worksheet and said "great". So I headed over to the Corp store in Manalapan and purchased the S6 for $250, paid the $40 upgrade and got the form to get my $50 mail-in rebate. I saved $90 by going 4mi down the road. I also mentioned where I came to a few people working at the Manalapan store and explained what just happened at the Marlboro location and they all laughed and said you're not the 1st to have issues there. I went to the store to trade in my Pixel 4a phones for the Pixel 6. I was told that because of a current promotion I could trade in my current phones and get 2 Pixel 6s by just paying the taxes which would be under $100. I was also told that they would transfer my data to the new phones, so I ordered the new phones. When I came in for the new phones, they setup my phones and transferred all my data for both phones. After they completed this process I was told that the fees will be $265 not the $100 I was originally told. I was now charged an additional $100 for equipment initiation fees and $60 for 2 wall box plugs to charge up my phones since they do not come with the phones. I was never told about these additional fees when I ordered the phone, only that I would just be paying the $100 in taxes. When I asked why I wasn't told about these additional fees I was told that these were required fees. I spoke to the manager Chad and he apologized that I was not initially informed about the fees however he said that since I paid these similar fees when a obtained my old phones "I should have known about them." I said at that time I was told up front about all fees. His attitude was that I should have known better. He did give me a $53 credit for one of the phone's equipment initiation fees but I felt I should have been credited for both phones. Chad said he couldn't do it. I've been a loyal verizon customer for over 30 years and this was the first time I felt misled about the fees. read more

A lot of the negative reviews are also from impatient people who don't understand that you can't always have what you want when you want it... that's not always the reps fault. Please read it. it has now come to my attention that these employees like to give themselves extra commissions. one of the people on my account went in to pay off their phone. The guy decided to give himself a little commission and added approx $50 to the payoff figure. I only found this out when my honest Verizon person who I have been going to for years looked at the transaction and told me what the employee did. Read my previous review. I stopped by this store twice in the last two months because my phone has been acting up and both times received excellent customer care from Reggie. He was very patient with my lack of knowledge and technical skills and he even gave me a quick lesson on how to back up my phone properly and use the cloud. Thanks Reggie! Verizon wireless shut my phone off and sent it to collections after a few months of non payment. I got into a car accident and was put into aan induced coma. During that time Verizon shut my phone off and sent it to collections. I don't have anyone to help pay my bills so my account was shut off. I called to get my service turned back on but they wanted me to pay $900 before they'll turn it back on. I don't have that kind of money right now and I'm wondering why its so much money? Verizon has good service but they're way to expensive and they won't work with me to turn it back I've had to pay $3,4,5,6 hundred a few times before in order to make my monthly payments. I don't understand why they were so much and Verizon just said it was part of the bill. I knew it was way too much and they couldn't tell me why. They just said it is what it is. I wish I could give this place 0 stars and I wish I read reviews before walking into this store thinking they are an authorized Verizon retailer. Complete scammers. I upgraded several phones with them and they were suppose to change my plan, which should've included free bonus data. They did order the phones, but never changed my plan...which I realized several months later when I still kept getting data overage charges and couldn't understand why, since I was suppose to have la lot more data. I've spent hours and hours on the phone with Verizon trying to straighten everything out and it is still a mess. Save yourself time and aggravation and stay away from this store. Unbelievable. Called after 10 pm to solicit some idiotic promotion. Completely inappropriate. Woke up the entire family. Poor customer service. Prior to this nighttime call, we had a horrific encounter with this store. As was mentioned below, the manager is very arrogant. I think the only person who gave 5 stars is related or a friend of the owner. I would not trust her review at all since the rest of the people rated it as 1. My husband went to the store to get a new phone and was offered free phone, but had to get a new number. Stupidly, he agreed. He was told to call the Verizon and disconnect his old line. He did not question them why they could not do it at the store. When we called the main Verizon number we learned that he had to pay $290 to disconnect the line. The guys scammed us. Now we are stuck with an extra line waiting for the contract to expire. When he came back the manager refused to talk to him and told him what the only person who could address this issue was the sales person. The manager simply refused to help. When I got my son's phone through them and wanted to exchange a few days later at another Verizon store, I was told that they did something that only allowed me to go to their stores. Very Bad Experience. They upgrade my phone without telling me. I have an old iPhone 4s and went in the store with a problem. The store rep Name Matt wallowitz gave me another phone saying we have exchanged your phone. on top of it they charge me $30 "device set up fee". I went back and ask them Why they did this to me....instead of apologizing they were rude to me. I wish I can take a picture of my receipt and post it so all you people can see what these guys are doing. Please do not pay any fees because they are fake. So My Husband and I just went into this Verizon(not a authorized Verizon Corporate Store) to pick up a Syme card. Surprise we then find out a month later that we were charged 40.00 on our Verizon bill From This Storefront on the day we just went into this place for a Syme card. Now I've been on the phone and visiting both this store as well as the Corporate Verizon Store in Manalapan to correct the charge.Felt Scammed and will tell you All Go Corporate to The True Verizon Store in Manalapan and don't waste your time ..... Or you will be wasting your days trying to right a wrong moved one by this store.Tried Putting No Stars but this comment wouldn't post. So an update.... The following day the Manager Matt withdrew the charges that his worker mistakenly charged to our bill. Lesson Learned... Watch your bill and rectify mistakes. read more

I only gave this place 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. I've had multiple horrendous experiences with an employee named MATTHEW WEIN. Besides being entirely useless, he got in my face and was very aggressive yelling at me after I asked a simple question about HIS job. The corporate office had called before explaining to him what to do to fix my phone and he told me "buy a new one or get out" needless to say I called corporate and they said that was grounds for termination. I wish I could give this store 0 stars. I went in the store and there were only 2 customers. One customer representatives was on the phone (on hold) at one desk and the other rep and his manager was at another desk. I walked in the door and no one even acknowledged me so I walked over to the rep that was on hold and I told him I only have a quick question and he rudely told me that he was helping a customer and I have to wait. I got on the phone with my husband to vent and the rep with the manager over heard me and when they were done they obnoxiously asked me how they can help me and that they overheard me complain about how I was being treated. I merely wanted to ask if my iPhone earbuds was covered on my insurance plan. The manager told me that they were not but he was going to give them to me for free until he heard me complain about their poor customer service. I was willing to pay (earbuds are not expensive) but I would not give a penny to that store but. I will spread the word to everyone I know to stay clear of that business. There are so many things they don't tell you up front and when you go back and try to talk to them they say "I don't have time right now." Whatever happened to the "Customer is King" mentality???
