I want to give kudos to Quentin at the Martinsville Verizon. He was fabulous! He provided exceptional customer service to my Dad today! He was knowledgeable, helpful, polite, patient, and took the time to help his elderly customers. If there are any in-store awards or monetary incentives for employees I would nominate Quentin. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE - NOT TRUSTWORTHY!! I called to report the management of this store to the Verizon Corporate office because employees of the store appear to be taking advantage of customers by providing misinformation. For example, I contacted the store yesterday on behalf of my brother who is eligible for Verizon's 55 plus senior phone plans, which offer unlimited data and text at a lower rate. If this is the future of customer service . . . I don't want anything to do with it. Walked in the door and from across 60% of the room came a lovely greeting from we didn't know who as there were two desks, both with ladies looking down at their phones. As we approached one desk, A. spoke to us again.. so we zeroed in and stood at her desk. A. was there, elbow on the counter, head cockeyed as she rested on her hand / wrist -- looking like she was needing a nap. We could tell she was talking to us by the blue gum that she kept busy in her mouth. I had four questions regarding a new phone I had purchased at another store. Apparently, that is just not done; she knew NOTHING about the procedure that may or may not have been done to update my phone. I wondered if I had bought it there if she would have been able to do anything! Appearing from the back room, another source of information -- options, suggestions, possibilities. Except for a brief moment of typing to look up my account (my previous phone had been purchased there), A. never held her head up off her arm! I have been to this store on four occasions now, one resulting in a successful purchase, education and understanding of my phone -- patience and respect (he doesn't work there now). I I purchased a galaxy s10 from a man in eden and we met at the eden Verizon store. I assumed his line and the store didn't have the iPhone xr so I ordered it online. I received a message that I needed to pick up my iPhone at the stuart va store so I went to the stuart store and they sent me to the martinsville Verizon location. I have been to that store once before and it wasn't the best customer service but I figured I had my receipt and email I just needed to pay my taxes and grab my phone. I go in and show my receipt and David says no problem .The order isn't showing but I can add it here no problem. So he proceeds and then he tells me he can't add it but where exactly is this s10 you claim was purchased from a man in eden. He was very disrespectful and I as well as everyone in the store was very aware he was calling me a liar. He then says where is our phone you got from our Verizon store in eden?I said your holding the one from the man in your hand and i didn't purchase one from the store. He then basically tells me I'm a liar and the phone is stolen that i owe over 900 on now.I tell him i don't appreciate his tone and accusation and he needs to review my account to learn facts before treating me that way.I ask for my phone that was shipped there so i can leave and he says there's 4 ordered on your account that is why there is a problem. He then canceled my order that had been shipped there and tells me I can't add it now. I called Verizon from my cell and they ask me to tell David call core and have them do as limit recent due to the adding and cancellation this store done it messed up my account. He refused to speak with them.I walk to my car to cool my nerves and he sends for me.I go into the store and a woman is now standing with him and hands me a phone and says Verizon wants to speak to you.I take the phone and the person on the line says Verizon frauds department why are you in store today.So I explain I'm picking up an online order that shipped to their location. He tells me they can not assist me any further there's nothing they can do for me.Now this store canceled my order that had been placed since the 5 and my phone came to their store and they refused it to me called me a liar a thief and then reported me to the frauds department and I had my receipt. I recorded after I seen where they were going with their accusation and I left after being told there was noone above David to speak to he was THE BOSS OF THIS LOCATION. I went to collinsville store and explained to Q what had happened. He got on the phone with Verizon and explained. They seen where my order was at martinsville and martinsville canceled it.He explained how I was treated and the things I was accused of.Q got my iPhone for me with no problem and I only pay 200 total .He took care of the other 550 plus tax and activation. He was truly amazing and he apologized for the way I was treated. I have found the names of the owners of that location but I was refused any contact information. I was refused any contact information for anyone other than David but I will talk with them and I'm talking with the sheriff's department tomorrow to see what I can file against David and his employees. read more
