I was very disappointed with my experience at this store. I went in to trade in my old phone (13 pro) and get a new phone (iphone 17). I was told it would be an extra 40 dollars for the one time upgrade and 19 dollars a month for the protection on the phone which I could cancel after the first month. I spent over an hour and half. The sales representative Bobby was new so I was trying to be patient. When I walked out I looked at my estimated bill and they had added a completely new line under my iPhone 13pro which I did not ask for and had started and disconnected another phone number. My bill was going to be over 100 dollars more the next month and estimated to be 50 dollars more after that. I called Verizon customer service and they were so confused what had been done and why. I spent an hour on the phone with them trying to reverse everything that happened. I called the store to let them know and they just gaslit me and told me "they explained this to me and it would be cheaper". I can assure you this was not the case. When I signed the agreement (where he held the iPad and scrolled quickly through) he said it was just for the upgrade and so that he can have access to make changes to my account. Also why would I want a new line on my old phone when the phone barely stays charged throughout the day. So just a caution to folks to make sure you read through and understand what exactly you're doing because even if you ask for one thing they may give you something completely different that you have no use for. I will say they were very nice and personable but moving forward I do not trust this store. read more

The manager of the store has absolutely zero talent for customer service ! Treats the customer like crap and talks loudly ....making the customer feel belittled . In the middle of the conversation, he stops and talk to another representative about something else making you not feel important any longer ....Will not stop talking and listen to the customer ! I went to the Southbury Plaza Verizon store with a SIM card problem. The clerk "tested" the card by putting it in another phone then told me both the card and the reader were shot so I needed a new phone. He then tried and tried to get me to buy one but I felt uncomfortable so I left the store. I went to the company store in the Danbury Mall where I learned that they don't use physical SIMs anymore. In less than 10 minutes they updated my software and I walked out with my phone working perfectly. Cost to me = zero. I then learned the Southbury store tried this scam with another person which makes me wonder how many times they have gotten away with it. read more

I received a new iPhone from my office and struggled to get cell service set up. Spent hours on the phone with tech support and went into a Verizon store in Westport near my home. No one was able to figure out what the issue was. I happen to be traveling in the Southbury CT area and I went into the Verizon store there. These guys are pros and did a ton of work to troubleshoot. Eventually they figured it out and got my cell service going. Their attitudes were super customer friendly and all 3 of the folks in the store were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Sold me a 3 year old google phone for 810.00. When newer model out on market is between 599 and 6. This is not a real verizon store. When I called Verizon their customer service was excellent at handling this. Rep was condescending and rude when I came in to return the phone. read more

Very unhappy with service at this Authorized Verizon venue. Was promised an account bonus that never materialised despite repeated contact with the store. Finally the issue was resolved by contacting Verizon corporate offices. Will never again patronise this location. read more

I need to be totally honest and say, I Never thought I'd be writing a positive review for Verizon store, Southbury Plaza. Well, being helped by assistant store manager, Johnnie Teague has changed my thinking. My daughter and I were in Verizon to replace her phone which was stolen (along w/ her license, wallet, passport, credit n debit cards!!) in Barcelona. PS -- stay out of Barcelona until Spain deals with crime against tourists! Daughter said the US Consulate was crowded with US citizens needing temporary passports to be issued! Johnnie Teague was compassionate, so helpful, and very patient as he assisted us in getting her account straightened out and a new phone issued. He gracefully survived being 'disconnected' FOUR times from Verizon headquarters!! Get your act together, Verizon headquarters! At least they are wise enough to employ people of the caliber of Johnnie Teague. Johnnie, I thank you, and we will use you for all our family's cell phone needs! read more

Do not come here. The associates are rude and it's not a real Verizon store. Customer services is non existent. The owner, dimitry, is rude and really showy and condescending. Again, it's not a corporate store it's an authorized re seller. Save your time and go to corporate store. read more

I bought 4 phones from the store. I've gone back there with technical questions and got more help than the Verizon people. They are knowledgeable and helpful. The owner who I like can come across a little glib. I would still not go anywhere else because they are there to help despite other reviews. Will be a customer for life. Thanks Dimitri and the Irish guy that went to the sister store in Bethel. also I got a cheaper rate than the Verizon people could give me, Verizon said I couldn't get that much data without paying more and they knew something that they didn't know. Rude sales associate. Gave me a hard time for not knowing one of my three Verizon passwords. Asked me "How hard is it to remember a simple password?" I walked out and bought the phone in my car directly from Verizon. Much nicer sales representative on the phone. I refuse to give them my business. read more

PLEASE READ: BEWARE. This is not a direct or corporate Verizon store. It is called an Indirect store and Verizon is not affiliated with them. The manager is named Dimitri, he could not care less about the customers. They work on commission and will make every effort to sell you plans and items you do not need. I recently (unknowingly) went into this store to ask if I was eligible for an upgrade, and an employee named Shane told me about a plan called Edge that would be "roughly" the same amount as my normal plan, but I would have extra benefits. Not the case. My bill went up $50, and I was not told about the 14 day cancelation policy. I did not receive the bill until it was too late to cancel. Neither employee was of any help, and I was informed there was nothing they could do except allow me to buy out my "contract" for $700. They are rude, inept and liars. read more

I stopped into one of the corporate stores and felt like I was being rushed to buy a phone. I left the location and came to this location on my way back to Naugatuck. They told me about a couple Phones and let me know about a couple of ways I could save on my bill. My bill was lowered 28 dollars a month and walked out with a phone of my liking. The rep spent 40 min with me showing me how the phone worked. I was not pressured. They also moved over all of my contacts,pictures and other items I had saved on my phone. This was not offered at any of the other locations. I could not be happier. read more
