Nothing But Lies and Misinformation First Lie: Colby at a franchise store assured me, "Verizon won't sell you 5G Home Internet unless they are certain it will work in your area." That statement was false. It did not work. Second Lie: Colby told me, "You can simply return the equipment to the company store." Third Lie: When I went to the company store, the manager told me, "You cannot return it here. You have to take it back to the franchise store." Fourth Lie: I returned to the franchise store, where Colby again insisted, "You can simply return the equipment to the company store." Final Runaround: A sales clerk at the company store then told me the equipment had to be returned to a UPS Store. It is astonishing that no one seems to know the actual return procedures. The misinformation, the back-and-forth, and the wasted time are unacceptable. For the record, T-Mobile's system works perfectly at this same location. read more

She presented my options and even went over some minor details with me and my partner. It was a great experience. I have been a Verizon customer before and left for something cheaper HOWEVER, I came back and thus far am very pleased. My home wi-fi has a great signal ...So great change! I love the fact the I am guaranteed no price change for three years! That is why I came back. All I need is three years! They will rip you off! You can literally get a plan of unlimited everything for 25 from boost mobile and 0 contracts and same coverage.

The staff at this location are friendly whether doing sales or returns. I was in the market for a mobile hotspot and I'd already tried AT&T. As this was a corporate store and not a premium reseller, I felt more comfortable that they would address everything and get the plan right, etc. As I walked through the door, they asked my name and reason for being there. Of course, this is one of those "in order to serve you better" situations and they put you into their waiting list to be served. The wait wasn't long. For the sale, I explained what I was trying to do and I mentioned 5 or more times that I wanted the 10 GB plan, so when I checked it online later, I had the 5 GB plan. Oops. What's worse, the internet service itself was marginal, but that's not the fault of the people at the store. In about a week, I returned to the store, and they just as cordially, took the device back, with a $35 re-stocking fee, of course. It's easy to sell something with a smile on your face, but to take it back equally is impressive. read more

Verizon used to provide good cellular service. Over the past year or two it is awful. There are many dropped calls and the signal is weak in many places. I've called them on several occasions about this and they really have no solution. They will just try and sell you more stuff! It may be that their attempt to provide 5G has degraded their standard LTE capability. They also took in Spectrum phones so if you get a spectrum phone it uses Verizon. The additional spectrum customers may have overloaded their network. Whatever the reason, I would try another carrier, maybe T-Mobil is who I will try next read more

A less busy location than Huber Heights. The person assisting us in upgrading my friend's phone flat out would not listen. It was probably the end of his shift and it was more of a verizon problem than his own. They have common issues come up or whatever and make things store policy. Then they don't listen and assume we're trying to do something you aren't allowed to do. We waste another hour (because this is the second verizon store) explaining what we're actually trying to do. Once he realizes his mistake, he doesn't apologize... just does it. It was fine. Just annoying. Verizon is so inconsistent worker to worker, store to store, manager to manager that they're all essentially warning you that the next person you deal with might completely screw you over or not understand how to do something. Maybe they should train their people more? Have more people? Pay more for up to date training and retention of workers? Verizon and At&t have the best data by far so it isn't like there are other options. read more

This review is regarding the Beavercreek, OH store on North Fairfield Road. The first technician with whom I interacted was very helpful and walked me through the phone replacement process with ease. He was very professional and assured that the replacement ordering was a completed process. (I was furious that I had to pay a $200 deductible fee for a 10 month old phone. The Verizon warranty policy is the worst imaginable). When the refurbished phone arrived the next day, I took it back to this same store for assistance with setup. A different technician, who was initially very kind, developed quite an attitude and no matter how many times I gave him my gmail address, he kept demanding it. I never use gmail and did not have a password to give him. When he finally heard me regarding the gmail address, we were able to move forward with setup. It did not go well, as I still had no email access. He did set me up with another technician, who was very helpful and it seemed that SOME of the problems were solved with this refurbished phone at that time. This was only somewhat of a happy ending. The chip on the first gentleman's shoulder was evident. I waited around to thank him very much, and he purposely continued to avoid me. I almost had to corner him to thank him. I will admit that I was as frustrated with the second technician as he was with me. After leaving the store, I discovered that I had no access to voicemails, other than calling my voicemail number to access them. There is no longer an icon to click on to access voicemails on this refurbished phone. This is a problem, as I'm a doctor and need to have immediate access to voicemail and in fact, my old voicemails, which did not transfer at all. I returned to the store and met with a third technician, who informed me that regarding voicemail access, that was my problem and that I would have to use Google Assistant. Not only was this incorrect, but exceedingly poor customer service. I also asked about accessing emails and he was unable and unwilling to assist with that. This would require a call to Spectrum. Again, it was the attitude of this technician that was very disappointing. I walked out at that point and went to another Verizon store. In rapid succession, the technician was able to assist with voicemails (I had to download Youmail in order to have access to voicemails. The feature in which there is a Verizon-inspired icon is no longer available on the Google Pixel 3 phone.) It was very clear that with both of these problematic technicians at the first store, that they were unmistakably disinterested in assisting me. In addition, I was also notified that my phone number has been deactivated from Facebook. I did NOT deactivate it and have no idea how this happened. Do you think going to a Verizon store will allow this to be rectified? I think NOT! It gets better. Day 4. Still no emails or ability to download them. My phone ended up at Gem City Digital. In a matter of minutes, the technician was able to install my email account without any problem whatsoever. The process was extremely simple. This certainly speaks to the competence or lack thereof of the technicians in 2 separate Verizon stores. I guess they are only trained to sell stuff. End of story. I am both shocked and disappointed in Verizon customer service....so much so, that I am considering moving to T-Mobile. Obtaining a refurbished phone was a very unpleasant experience and unnecessarily so. The attitude of 2 of the technicians at the first Beavercreek store was abominable. They were just plain hostile and rude, not to mention very inadequately trained. Some Verizon employees need to have a whole lot more training in customer service before dealing with the public. read more

I love Verizon as long as I don't have to deal with my local store and my current dissatisfaction has extended to their website and telephone customer service. We recently added my daughter to our family plan so she could save money by not paying for an individual plan and she just pays her portion of the monthly bill. A few days ago she told me she was getting an ipad and wanted the wi-fi option which would add $10.00 a month to the bill. Since she lives in a different state I would need to add her as an account manager so she could sign the contract. I went online to add her and kept getting an error on the page and was instructed to call customer service. I was on hold for over 15 minutes and gave up. I went through this process a couple more times over the next couple of days with the same result. So I decided to stop in at our local store. They were able to add her with no problem. However, the salesperson wasn't going to let me out of the store without some hard sell which has become the typical experience when I go there. He first tried to get me to up my data plan and I told him we never go over. Then he told me about the newest feature of being able to trade up to a new phone without waiting for your normal upgrade date and also take advantage of new phones that become available in the future. On the surface it sounds great. But after you do the math (literally), it is a rip off. Here's how it works. The 16 GB phone which costs $199.00 with a 2 year contract, normally, you can now pay $27.00 a month for 24 months which is $648.00. He went to say if you choose to to this your monthly data charges go down by $10.00 a month for that phone. So that would bring the cost down to $408.00. Still, twice the cost if you waited until your normal upgrade time and paid for it outright. So if you really want the latest phone now, you will have to pay. I wonder how many people are falling for this? I know it's a competitive world out there and I feel like all salespeople, no matter what store, are looking at me like a walking $ sign and not a person. But hard sell does not work on me. It has the exact opposite affect. read more

Upon entering the store, they took my name, entered it into their queue and said a salesperson would be with me shortly. Seriously? So I'm waiting amongst the people signing up for contracts and upgrading their phones just to buy some earbuds. So while waiting, I went on Amazon.com and just bought them there (for probably much cheaper, too) then left. read more

This Verizon is just like any Verizon, they get the job done. HOWEVER, you will wait half of your life to get help because it is always packed. Also, they are sold out of a lot of stuff all of the time. If you can go to a different Verizon in the area, I would suggest it. read more

Basically, don't go here. There was this girl here, very young, probably early 20's and I went in there when it was a pretty slow Sunday. Never asked my name or anything. Spoke maybe two full sentences to me. I needed upgrade for my phone, and was just replacing my broken iPhone 4 with a new one and when doing the whole process she looked EXTREMELY disgruntled and irritated with my presence. When giving me the new phone, she ripped off the protective covering (Which I did NOT want, buying new ones of those cost money and frankly I didn't want to have to do that) and she didn't even ask me if I wanted her to transfer my contacts, and when I asked her about it she, like a whiny teenage girl was like "Do you want me to?" I said no because clearly she was very bothered. I'm still very bothered from my experience and I will NOT come to this Verizon store again. Oh also, there was another employee there and he sat and watched the whole thing and said nothing. Poor customer service is one of my biggest pet peeves because a little common curtesy and kindness never hurt anyone, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN SALES. Do not go. read more

My girlfriend and I went in to discuss phone plan options. All of the employees were helping other customers so we waited near the counter for help. When one employee finished with a customer he walked by my girlfriend and didn't respond when she greeted him. He went and started talking to another employee until another customer came in. He greeted and immediately checked them in and started helping them. Maybe when someone says hi you should ask them if they need help. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 yrs and have had 4 phone lines with them and too many versions of Samsung and iPhones to count over the years. I have always received good and very helpful customer service from stores in TX and NM (I'm in the military). That was until last Friday. I went in to discuss my bill and why a previous technician told me my daughters phone couldn't be replaced because it would not charge because she damaged it. I was paying for the total coverage and after reading up on the policy I determined it should have been covered. The man I met with was extremely condescending and lacked customer service skills. He asked why I hadn't filed a claim and I said because we were told it wasn't covered. I decided to buy 2 refurbished iPhones for my daughters from GameStop but Verizon started charging me for insurance and I never asked for that. I asked the tech about this too and he was so condescending about it. I said why would I pay 22$ a month for insurance on 2 phones that only cost me $180 for both?? Secondly, I paid for insurance on the Samsung and got nothing for it. He looked into his computer and told me the last person I spoke with in the store was a female not a male as I had told him. Implying I was lying to him. My daughter was with me both times and we both told him it was a male technician who helped us, not a female. At that point, I had had enough! I told him he just lost a longtime customer and 4 phone lines. We went over to AT&T switched all lines, I got a new iPhone 7, iPad, transferred my iPhone 6 to my daughter. It's a hefty bill for activation but I am staying away from Verizon at least until I get back to TX!! read more

I went in on a holiday, I tried to upgrade my phone. The gentleman looked me up and said I can't help you, you can't upgrade for another 2 days. After that he comment that I would have to pay full price for the phone if I wanted unlimited data, and that I had no choice on that. That ticked me off with being with them for 10 years. I shopped around and still have unlimited data, and now paying half what I was paying. This was not the first time the didn't want to help me. If you go there to have your bill re-evaluated and possibly lowered to today's standards, they will adjust your bill, then not let you leave with pushy sales tactics and add useless stuff to keep your bill right where it was. MSRP for devices is on par with all of the other crooks like Best Buy. Literally the absolute most incompetent experience I've had with any electronics company either, and I've had to talk to AT&T customer service so that's really saying something. Very professional, knowlegable staff, doing a good (not great) job at customer service, but everything they sell is absolute junk. My dad got a Samsung S3 there that (with an OtterBox and rice to dry it out) survived swimming in the Little Miami... but the same can't be said for their other stuff. I'm on my 5th or 6th smartphone from them (I literally lost count, I've had so many replacements) in about 2 years. Every single one, save maybe one that simply got upgraded (after having been replaced multiple times in ONE YEAR, NOT TWO), has had SEVERE hardware issues. Not even issues with apps on it, or a physical blemish of the screen or something... it's that the phone literally don't function as phones. Right now? I'm using an LG G3. I've had this phone since the end of March (6 months) and it's been progressively been getting worse and worse, since I started having problems out of it and my tablet both, back in May (2 months with phone, 5 with tablet.) My G3 literally doesn't work as a phone - I drop EVERY SINGLE CALL, it randomly disconnects or doesn't even connect in the first place, it doesn't send group texts half the time, sometimes not even a regular sms to another Verizon customer, it doesn't stay connected to 3G, 4G, or analog consitently, and when it actually does, by some miracle, stay connected to a call, the other party can't hear me, at some varying point throughout the span of usually quite short conversations. The camera was impressive at first, and I was satisfied to a degree on my vacation to Gettysburg back in June, however it too has gone down hill, in that it no longer autofocuses or allows me to manually focus it on what I'm actually trying to photograph. Some of my other issues have been, but are not limited to, a Verizon brand tablet from a promotion last December failing to hold a charge, or even accept charging on any cable, including the original and other Verizon bought chargers, an LG Lucid that randomly shut off one day and never turned back on, another LG Lucid that had a faulty screen and data connection, and a Samsung sliding text phone that's screen cracked beyond use or ability to recover information lost on the phone after a gentle tap on a wood post. Verizon service is also horrible around everywhere I've seen a store. My hometown, the areas directly and moderately around where the servicing locations are around here, and my grandmother's city with a store all have horrible, spotty service that can literally go from 3 bars of 4G (the max I've EVER gotten more than 5 seconds with Verizon) to no bars of anything in a single step any direction. In my small, window filled, low/thin ceiling/roof house, I cannot, and never have been able to maintain a decent connection for something as simple as a phone call in certain areas of the above ground first floor, even near windows and walls. If you ever find yourself in a basement of any sort, anywhere, you're best off turning the phone off because even if you turn the date connection off, it kills outrageous amounts of the battery searching for service it will never find. The employees of this particular location are competent, generally, although they can be slow for some things that are rather simple and quick things to be done, however Verizon as a whole is a terrible company providing sub-par service and selling poor condition products, that I quite well expect are refurbish-failed already broken devices simply packaged and labeled as new. Also, they don't too well take care of their employees, as several salespeople have even complained about their lack of perks and upgrade options for even their work demo phones, let alone their personal cells. I recommend NEVER even stepping foot in this store, or any other Verizon ever. read more
