This is a medium-sized store, although they've recently provisioned quite a bit of space for the Samsung store-within-a-store, making it a much smaller store, if you don't want Samsung products. I was not exactly surprised to not be approached by anyone in the store. It's always seemed a do-it-yourself store, this location especially. Of course, the location of the store tends to say that. It's rather hidden, even when you're in the shopping center. Strangely, it's much like the store in Brandon, Florida, which also wasn't far from the mall but quite hidden, and yet, so close to two highways. They seemed to have decent stock and typically high prices that are a Best Buy hallmark, so that they can mark them down to other stores' typical prices and claim a sale price. It's funny now that their thin (5 years ago) supplies of CDs look enormous now, compared to other stores. Shop the sales and save yourself some money. Besides, Target and Meijer and Sam's Club are close. read more

Don't think they deserve any stars. Return policy for Best Buy is the pits! You only have 2 weeks to return anything unless you are member to there rewards. Bought a tv there in September from them. We weren't in any rush to use it. Today, we pulled it from the box. And it's busted. Went to the store and basically was told you are out of luck. This was after the guy at the door called the manager asking if he wanted to deal with this one. Wow, let's be a little more professional. So now I sit here with a broken 65 inch tv and I'm out $500. TL;DR DON'T buy appliances from Best Buy if you need delivery/installation. Jul 29: Ordered a reasonably priced dishwasher. Scheduled appt to haul away old (dead) dishwasher & deliver/install new. Aug 2: Stayed home from work for delivery. Received phone call from Best Buy's international call center that dishwasher had been scratched before delivery so it was being rescheduled. I did not have the option to keep the delivery date. Aug 3: Stayed home a second day. Contractors arrived, took out old dishwasher, installed new. However, despite buying installation kit, they did not have everything necessary to install it under our countertops. Left it loose. Dishwasher rolled out when we opened it. Aug 3-Aug 9: Dishwasher did not, in fact, wash dishes. Aug 9: Went into local Best Buy store to discuss exchanging bad dishwasher for pricier but more reliable dishwasher. Bought an open box model we saw in the store. Associate tried to schedule old haul-away and new install same day. System would not allow both appointments to fall on the same day, so we would have to be without a dishwasher for a day. Okay, fine. Aug 15: Stayed home from work a third day, for the haul-away. Contractors did come as promised and took out the non-washing dishwasher. Received a call from Best Buy that the delivery of the new washer would not take place now until Aug 22. No reason. I tried to call the local store number and was routed to the same international call center. They explained that it is impossible to directly call any local stores. All phone numbers lead to the call center. Aug 21: Confirmation text from Best Buy: 8/22 updated arrival window 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Great. This is really happening. Aug 22: Stayed home from work a FOURTH day to wait for the delivery. Aug 22, 9:11 AM: Received a call that, due to a shipping issue, they would need to call me in 24-48 hours to reschedule. I said there should be no shipping issue because we PHYSICALLY SAW IT IN THE LOCAL STORE. They had no further information. Aug 22, 9:26 AM: Called contractor. They remembered seeing us on their schedule the day before. No idea why it was no longer on their list. Aug 22, 9:59 AM: Drove to the store. Explained to the assistant store manager our delivery issues. Asked if we could be refunded the delivery/install fee and just take it home ourselves. No, we could not, because it was NOT IN THE STORE. It had been taken to a "hub." From there, it should have been taken to another hub to be picked up by the contractor, but it did not arrive at the second hub. I asked if she could tell me where the hub was so we could drive there and pick it up. No, we could not, because the assistant manager herself is not allowed to go to the hub. I asked if she would please just cancel the whole thing and refund us the whole purchase. No, she could not, because the dishwasher was not physically in the store so her system would not allow her to process a refund. However, she had put in an ESCALATION TICKET so they could track down the location of this dishwasher, and I should hear something within 24-48 hours. Aug 23: We don't have the money to buy another dishwasher while hundreds of dollars are tied up indefinitely in a dishwasher that has been lost. As customers, we cannot escalate this to anyone in actual power at Best Buy because they are purposely unreachable. Does Best Buy have human executives at the top? Or is it run by a cash-guzzling AI? Not even the store managers can tell me. There are so many layers between them and decision-makers that, while they are friendly and sympathetic, they have no power to do anything. read more

I usually go to a Best Buy when I'm in need of a phone case for two reasons. 1. They have a wide selection. And I've come to prefer the Speck brand, which they carry. I had no problem finding a wide variety of them - different kinds and colors. 2. They price match Amazon. When you need a phone case, you need it ASAP. Walking around with a naked iPhone is a terrifying experience. So here you can get the low price you want without the wait. I appreciate that there's always a person stationed right by the door so you can get pointed in the right direction quickly. Getting out wasn't as easy. My rating is based upon my trip to this best buy location yesterday where I purchased an item that was crazy overpriced. That is not the reason for the poor rating however. When I entered the store I was stopped by the "front door guy", the one at the desk by entrance doors. Anyway I asked him if he could direct me to the audio and video cables and adaptors such as hdmi to usb-c that I was searching for. He directed me to go to the back half of the store to a certain aisle. As I came to the area he sent me to 2 other employees joined me with in 30 seconds. I was asked "what are you looking for man" While I was scanning the shelves. I told him and he said they do NOT sell any items like what I was looking for. I said"huh, none at all?" He says that "hdmi to usb-c isn't even a thing dude ". Yes, those are his words not mine. If he looked it up "it might be a Amazon thing"??? "Ok.... Well I said, I just researched stores in the area that carry this and who have them currently available in stock for in store pickup. That's weird, so nothing here like that?" If we have them they will be by the orange wall upfront. So I go up there after thanking the young man. As I'm walking up I am met by another who walks me there and as I get there am traded off to a woman who watches me pick what I need and then tells me she can help ring me out. I followed her to where she was on a register halfway across the store and by a 60 dollar off brand generic hdmi to usb-c adapter that I would have payed more for to get a nice quality one instead of junk that's priced like this... But, I needed it so I bought it. Anyway, I am not anyone special folks. Not a gang banger or shady or whatever. I was treated like, like a lowlife shoplifter for no reason I can come up with. Don't purchase Insignia products at this, or any other Best Buy. In particular, don't purchase Insignia appliances that are so large they require delivery. Insignia and Best Buy will both try to pass off responsibility for repair or replacement. If Best Buy eventually accepts responsibility, they will promise delivery dates and windows, then repeatedly break those promises. When simple solutions exist for replacing defective appliances from stock at other nearby Best Buy stores, they will refuse to do it. The representatives at the customer service 800 number are incapable of, or unwilling to, provide any assistance. Worse, they are incapable of even providing truthful answers. I would like to say the people at my local store were at all helpful during this mess, but I cannot. Local management and product support are wonderful for issues with small items that can be carried into the store for repair, or shipped via UPS for replacement. They seem to be untrained in their own policy and procedures for resolving problems with larger items, and unwilling to advocate for their local customers if communication with the national customer service center is required. Save yourself a bunch of needless grief and purchase your appliances from a company with better developed systems for delivery, repair and replacement. I've never had these problems with Lowe's, Home Depot, or even Amazon. Stick with those three for big purchases. read more

I purchased 3 appliances on 12 SEP 2020. One was on backorder. Scheduled delivery and installation for the other two appliances for 24 SEP 2020. Items were delivered on the 24th as scheduled. One of the items was badly damaged and I refused to accept it. The other item was fine so I accepted it. The installer was unable to remove the appliance being replaced and was unable to install the new one. I called a professional out who removed the appliance the following morning and rescheduled my installation (since I already paid for it) with Best Buy for the 28th of September. The 28th arrives but my appliances do not. After my appointment window had passed, I contacted the store to check on status. I was told my appointment had been rescheduled because the other appliance I refused to accept was now available and they preferred to deliver and install them at the same time. I was frustrated but accepted a new delivery/installation date of 02 OCT 2020. That day comes and goes, my appliances are not delivered. I contact the store. They tell me the appliance that was to be delivered is on back order so they cancelled the appointment (without notifying me). They rescheduled the appointment for 08 OCT 2020. My appointment window passes, I contact the store - I am again told the appointment had been rescheduled without notification to me. By this point I had already taken off three days of work in order to be home for the delivery. Now they're telling me that they can't get me scheduled until October 23rd and that's just for delivery of the missing item - installation can't be performed until November. I had paid for the elite preferred plan which was supposed to provide guaranteed delivery - what a rip off that was. The store manager, Chris, was a jerk. He told me I had to call the corporate office to cancel my order and get a refund because I was now outside of the return time frame. Imagine that, I can't return items I never received because too much time had passed and the reason that much time had passed was because of their gross incompetence. So I call the corporate office and find out it wasn't necessary - everything that needed to be done could have been done in the store and I didn't need to do an RMA. OH - and they could get someone out to my house that same day because of the inconvenience but it was far too late for that. Chris made it clear he didn't want my business and I had no value to him because his store had already gotten credit for my purchase. In any case, I cancelled my $4,000 appliance order and purchased the exact same items at Home Depot who will be delivering and installing the next day... plus I save an additional $500 for the EXACT SAME ITEMS with delivery, installation and haul away of my old appliances. Don't waste your time with Best Buy - you'll soon discover it's the Worst Buy you can make!! read more

For one reason or another, I can never easily find this place...maybe it's a sign? I've come here several times and it's always the same thing, different day. I'm never approached by anyone for help and it's always crowded. The store size seems to be on par with most other Best Buy locations, but feel somewhat cramped in the layout and amount of people. I try to avoid coming here, but in a pinch, I'm not really left with another option. During my most recent visit, I was surprised to discover that I could make a payment on my card at any register as long as I was paying by cash or check (yes, I am one of those weird people that still uses checks). Thankfully, they also have an ATM just a few steps from the register if you choose the cash method. The salesperson helping me was friendly enough, but the overall experience solidifies my option of this particular location: shop online. read more

I ordered a refrigerator during a back to school special for a college gift. When the order was processed, I realized I had the wrong delivery address. I sent the mini fridge to New Mexico. It needed to go to Ohio. It wasn't even an hour after my order processed, I got on the phone to change the delivery address. The person on Best Buy dot com didn't speak very good English and said the right address had been entered and the delivery would be intercepted and sent to the right address. That shipment was supposed to be here today. I got an email update saying my package was delivered to somewhere in Kentucky. The Best Buy people could only tell me that they would reship it. They then proceeded to tell me they would send it to the New Mexico address. WOW! What an unenjoyable experience!! I will not ever use Best Buy for anything. When I asked for something from Best Buy to make me feel good, they came back with a , are you sitting down for this, $10 gift card. LOL!!! I am more than a $10 gas ride to the nearest Best Buy. I went in to purchase a glass shield for my iPhone 7 Plus. While I was patiently waiting in line, the associate at the counter told me to go to geek squad if I wanted it to be put on. I used to be a manager for computers & tablets, and I know for a fact that the mobile department can put them on for free at the purchase. I used to do it all the time.. Keep in mind.. I wasn't in a rush.. I was simply waiting in line, instead he wanted me to go waste Geeks Squads time with a shield when they were very busy already.. I gave up on counting on the staff to help me install the shield. The only reason I even gave 3 stars is because after giving up on the mobile customer service, the cashier at the main check out was amazing and was very polite and professional. read more

I used to think that Best Buy was better than average until I went on my quest to purchase an iPad 2. They have a limited supply in stock and since you cannot order them online you either have to call or go into each store to see what they have available. A waiting list would be great, but they do not offer that either. So I picked out the iPad I wanted and started to call local stores. Since this location is the closest I have tried it the most often. Each time I have called (typically morning and mid afternoon) I've waited on hold for 4-10 minutes and then told that they don't have my 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice available. When I've asked when they might get one of any of them in they tell me they really don't know. Yesterday I physically went to the store and after 15 minutes of trying I found some help. He looked with me and found that there were not any of the types that I was looking for and told me that they did not know when they might be in. However, I should keep trying to call because they go fast...except for the 30 or so White 3G verison versions I saw. Anyway, today I called and was told that two people were in line before me. I hung up 31:45 later without ever speaking to a CSR. Now supposedly this is the line to check on price and availability. I can't see two customer taking that long to ask simple questions. Now I have given up on this location. I have tried calling the other two stores within a 45 minute radius a few times with no luck either. My biggest issue is that evidently Best Buy doesn't want to really sell iPad's that badly. If they did they would put together an in store wait list or at least take requests / deposits. The Beavercreek store really makes things worse though by being the most difficult to reach either in person or on the phone. I'm going to try a few other locations before giving up entirely and spending my money elsewhere. However, I will never return to the Beavercreek location of Best Buy for anything. read more

I took my Plantronix earphone in to find out why it wasn't paring with my phone.It was a bad experience for me because the kid was very condescending about the fact I didn't understand why it wouldn't pair. I purchased a warranty with the earphone, so I was not getting anything for free. Best Buy should train their teenagers how to be excellent customer service representatives. I took the battery home and it was not capatable with my camera. I came back to this Best Buy the same day and they told me they do not accept returns on opened batteries. I had a remote start installed in my car. The sale and install was flawless. My issue is that MONEY WAS STOLEN FROM MY CAR! That was my emergency fund in the event I needed gas or food. Granted, I forgot to remove it prior to and I signed the clause that your employees are not responsible for stolen items BUT I would expect them to practice integrity, especially when you're having access to someone's space/belongings. We purchased an expensive TV 3 weeks ago that was on back order which was not revealed until we checked out. After spending nearly $6k on sound bar, wall mount, TV and subwoofer we were handed everything but the TV. No worries they told me, will deliver TV once in stock. Of course they give themselves a 4 hours window for delivery, 8am-12pm which was set for today. As of 12:46pm no TV, no show. Contacted Best Buy (not easy finding number) and after 15 minutes on hold was told they were still an hour away. Store would be more appropriately named WORST Buy. Spent $1100 there on the purchase, delivery & installation of an 800 series top of the line Bosch dishwasher. Recieved a defective dishwasher along with a bad leak under my kitchen sink, caused by the shady installers Best Buy uses to deliver & install its appliances. That delivery/installation company is called XPO Logistics. Had to hire a professional plumber to fix leak caused by XPO. Multiple issues getting thru to Best Buy's appliance dept manager to inform them of issues, from getting disconnected when being transferred by BB operator to appliance dept to not being called back by manager when multiple messages were left for him. Had to go into store to get attention to problem, and got scheduled for delivery of replacement dishwasher. XPO shows up a week later with 2 very rude & unprofessional "kids" that told me it was impossible for them to remove & replace my defective dishwasher without my ceramic floor tile being removed because the original installers pushed the dishwasher too far back!!! When I told them that since their company put it in & were able to remove my old dishwasher without busting up my tile, they needed to figure out how to get the defective Bosch out. They couldnt, and just kept saying the original installers never should have installed the Bosch. They said they had to go, but asked if I'd like them to leave the replacement dishwasher. I said yes, and to please put it in my dining room. However, upon walking out my door, they just got in their truck and left! Unbelievable, right? Couldnt have dreamed up worse nightmare for how this purchase turned out. If you're thinking of buying from Best Buy, please head my advise and stear clear of this company that obviously cares only about the initial sale and nothing about customer service/satisfaction. Best Buy has fallen on hard times since they are often used as a catalog and the merchandise purchased Online. I think it has to be because of the poor, no wrenched Customer Service. I spent nearly an hour while they tried to find the "right guy" in the store when my Receiver, a Yamaha RX-V373 with serial # T292932TV, nearly 2 hours on the phone and about an hour with the Resolution Team. When I bought it I didn't think I would need the extended warranty, but after putting the unit in my trunk, my wife said it really wasn't a lot more money to get the added security, so I went right back in, minutes later and purchased it. Now Best Buy has no trouble finding my receipt, but can't find the EXTENDED WARRANTY. Check their Customer Service status anywhere and you will also be using them as a Catalog Store and making your purchase somewhere else. Oh, the problem with the Receiver? It worked fine for two years, and Monday when I tried to turn it on it would not. Tried it in different outlets and for a minute was glad I had the Extended Warranty. read more

My husband took it into Geek Squad in Beavercreek, Ohio where we'd purchased it. (We had to make an appointment to take it in online because they would not answer their phone.) The estimate came back for $950 to repair it. Seriously?? (We could buy an identical one for $1200...on sale!) We declined repair. We picked it up today and it is perfectly alright! No work done on it. Umm..... Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Geek Squad if I ever have to have it 'repaired' again! read more

They will screw you over! Bought phones on promotion, they were suppose to be free if you turned in your old phones. That evening when we were doing this promotion they didn't take the old phones. They stated they didn't need them. Didn't make sense , I tried to turn them in 2 more times, and they would not take them. 2 months later, we are charged with 3 new phones because Best Buy did not take our phones. Our phone provider and Best Buy mobile said take the phones to Best Buy to correct this. Best Buy blamed us saying we were suppose to turn in the phones to our carrier. This was a lie!!!!! Their staff messed up!!!! When Best Buy runs a promotion , it is their responsibility to get the phones and turn them into the carrier. We spoke directly to our Carrie's regional director to get this information. We are not done with this and will seek a solution. Best Buy needs to take responsibility for their mistake!!!! read more

I saw a lot of reviews saying nobody approached them for help, but my experience have always been different. Sometimes I would just wonder around the store, and every time I would be approached by someone asking if I needed help. If you haven't been to a Best Buy, its pretty much an electronic nerds paradise. The staff, for the most part, know their stuff, but I hate when people recommend the pricey stuff over anything else. Yeah, most of the time in electronics, that is the best stuff, but not everyone who walks in the door is a Doctor or Lawyer with unlimited cash flow. I am picky about what I want, and when you tell them that, they lead you the right way. (just tell them your price range / limit too.) He then went on and on about how I would have to pay for a brand new phone while mine was only 2 weeks old. This employee obviously did not have any training in how to handle a nervous customer. I then walked out of the store because the employees began to ignore me and my request for help. TERRIBLE customer service and scared me for no reason.
