Waring Pro told me to kick rocks, and the next option was $60. So after a lot of research, I heard tell of a place akin to a radio shack, but more Costco than Shack - and a whole lotta radio. Electronics Supply - been around for over 60 years - is just a wonderful place for the tinkerer with electronics repair needs. There's an upstairs and a downstairs, a gaggle of extremely helpful staff, and they even have the curmudgeons of yore - those gentlemen of too much knowledge, and not enough cares - answer any question gladly, but stays in their chair, and hardly look at you while doing it. This place is a rarefied necessity of any advanced municipality with the capacity for ordering online. Honestly, these guys seemingly have anything an everything you can imagine - and they're very helpful to boot, which in this time of online garbage is welcomed necromancy! I bought a thermal fuse; I didn't know what I needed, but they did. They discussed the part in question, haggled over the possibilities, pulled it from the expansive selection in back, and after an entire dollar seventy five, I was out the door! I installed it, and viola! Waffles! I'm just over-the-moon excited about the possibilities! They have myriad tools and components, security systems and computer parts, and if you venture downstairs, you've ventured into the realm of commercial electrical supplies. Among a million other items, there is a full-blown server setup for sale, conduit for days, and any bracket, housing, cable, wire, transistor or capacitor you can manifest from your imagination. It's an electronics supply, but it's more than that. Like the armory or granaries of yore, this is a downright necessity of civilization in the heart of downtown Kansas City. I'll definitely be back for things and stuff. You should too! It's a shame more people aren't able to fix their own stuff anymore, and that number is shrinking. After a lot of research on the best place to take the car to for a full system upgrade while retaining the factory Ford Sync head unit all fingers seemed to be pointed at Independence Audio being the folks I could trust the vehicle with. There are a lot of electronics in these new vehicles these days, I wanted it done properly because it is a vehicle I have been doing a lot of mods to and plan on keeping for the long haul. I live almost 2 hours away down in the Ozarks but was willing to travel for quality and piece of mind. They were booked out a little while if course but what reputable place isn't, I didn't mind waiting. I dropped the car off for a few days and they replaced all the speakers, subwoofer and factory amp with JL Audio all the way around. Couldn't be happier with how clean the install was and the sound quality. You pop my hood or look inside the interior of the car you can't even tell these folks were in there other than the bass knob installed neatly in the console by my shifter. Pop the trunk and the subwoofer and amplifier are tucked neatly out of the way with room for cargo and access to the spare tire and jack. 100% worth every penny. Chris Stroud was my rep and was very smooth and informative to work with from the first phone call to my back and forth with questions and kept me updated through the entire process. Never gave me the feeling I was bothering them. My installer is a wizard and absolutely killed it!! Very professional, highly recommended!! A+++of

I informed her my daughter had already put the controller down and then questioned the saleswoman if she had really asked me, if I knew how to read, she then told me I should "learn how to control my child."I began to leave with my daughter and called her by her name, the woman then felt it was necessary to mimic me, addressing my daughter by name, telling her she shouldn't touch things. The entire experience in this store was terrible, we were never greeted, and were mocked as we left with one of those sarcastic, "Have a nice day!" that we've all experienced.
