I brought in my phone to have the charging port cleaned out. Lint in the port was keeping me from getting the charge cord plugged in. I had the same thing done at this store two years ago with no charge. The process takes 30 seconds as they use special tweezers to pull out the debris. It took 30 seconds this time too, but they charged me $40.00 dollars. I expected to pay something, but not $40.00. Based on a 30 second repair, this cost represents $4,800.00 an hour labor cost!!! Beware! Phone Fixation follows an unscrupulous business model and practice. I took my iphone in for a repair and they charged me $108.35 which I thought was high and agreed to. I picked my phone up after 2 weeks and the headset speaker was inoperable. They explained the phone would have to be sent out again and I would be given a repair estimate. This doesn't make sense why would I pay twice for a phone they didn't fix the first time. So, when people pay $108.35 for them to fix a phone and they fail to do so people have to pay again? We discovered the place after searching Yelp and driving around Lee's Summit. The guy quickly diagnosed the problem as a busted charging port, fixed it in under an hour and we're on our way. The next day, my home button gets stuck, meaning Siri is in my pocket all day saying "I'm sorry. I didn't get that." And I'm saying "Nobody asked you, Siri!" Worst customer service I have ever seen. Does not have educated staff. They "fixed" my phone and it was worse than when I took it in and then their 90 day warranty they would not stand behind. No policy on the warranty is is posted any where so they can just tell you its in the policy but they don't give you a copy of this and do not tell you it up front. I called prior to appt to get a quote from them and they told me one price and when I got to the store they wanted 150$ more with even less damage than they thought there would be. Got my IPhone 12 screen replaced at the end of the summer and it was taken to these guys. They were shady and not honest about warranties ever. Not even a month after getting the phone screen repaired the power button went out and shortly after that the battery completely broke and I went without a phone. I took it to the Apple Store to get it checked out and what was a simple screen replacement in turn showed the battery was damaged by them, the parts in the phone were not apple (was never made aware of that), the wireless charging on the phone was destroyed, the power button was damaged, and the phone just wouldn't turn on anymore. went in to try to see what was going on and I was just met with disrespect. they were unprofessional, treated me like I was unintelligent, tried to blame me for the battery issue and were overall just disrespectful. I tried to talk about the warranty but they were not being direct and were overall lying about what was initially agreed upon. I would not trust these people with your phone because they overcharge you for simple repairs, damage it and perform shady practices while they have your phone in the back. read more

I had high hopes based on the 4.5 star yelp rating that this business had around the beginning of October 2017. I inquired about getting the exterior glass replaced that covers my iPhone 6s Plus' camera lens. Mine had been cracked for a good year now and I was ready to just get it fixed. I came in for the repair and the clerk working was not professional in attire or communication. He barely mumbled, didn't clearly communicate that I wouldn't be signing anything or have any proof that I had just given them my phone, and then said you can wait or come back in an hour. Okay? So you have my phone, I have no paper/proof/agreement, and I guess I'll be back in an hour? Went to the grocery store next door to do some shopping. Came back, paid and left. The lack of professionalism here still kinda hug around as the elephant in the room. The worst part was yet to come tho. 24 hours after I had my lens glass replaced, it fell off. Literally just fell off. So I called, they apologized and said to bring it back in. I was working an 82 hour week and couldn't till the next weekend so I had to tape over the lens to prevent dust from getting in and I waited. Same guy replaced it when I returned the next weekend, same lack of professionalism, zero apology, and they took 30 minutes this time. The rim around the glass was a different color this time...definitely using cheap, or at the very least, inconsistent parts. BUT WAIT. So it has been another week....and it has now fallen off again. AGAIN. And now my camera is malfunctioning and has dust spots on all photos taken. The photos are also blurry on the left side as if the lens got knocked out of balance. I'm extremely, no, incredibly disappointed with this place. Do yourself a favor and do not go here if you value your iPhone. My phone is in worse condition than when I first took it in and I'm at a loss for ~$50. Just awful. read more

If you want to save a couple of bucks to get your broken phone screen replaced, you can go here, but keep in mind, you get what you pay for. We took an iphone 11 there for a screen replacement. After receiving the repaired phone, we paid and went home. Once home, we noticed that the photos on the phone were horribly discolored. All pictures of people made them look as if they had been fried by the sun. We called to let them know of the issue. We were told that they did not use actual apple products and that a difference was to be expected. We asked why we were not told that up front. We were told that we should have known since they were not an actual apple service company and had no access to apple products. We asked if we could bring it back and let them remove the screen they took 15 min to put on and get our money back. The answer was no. No refunds. They offered to put another screen on (not apple) but said the manager would not authorize a refund. When asked to speak with the manager, we were told the manager could not talk to us because he had a crazy schedule (even though the associate we were speaking to was putting us on hold to ask the manager questions about what he could do for us). The manager refused to speak with us, take our number, offer a call back or anything. We were instructed to email him if we wished to contact him. In summary, cheap, low quality products are used here without informing the customers, there are zero refunds after the realization your phone is not working the way it should and the manager uses poor business practices when communicating with customers. read more

Went in for a cracked screen on an iPhone 6s that still had a working home button. Spent $162. I go to set up a new Touch ID which is a KEY feature of the newer iPhones, and after they already installed it and I'm getting ready to pay, they tell me the Touch ID feature will not work with the new home button they put in. Talked to the manager and he said he couldn't do anything for me and if I had a problem then I could take him to court. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My iPhone 7 was glitching like absolutely crazy in the last several months where it would type random letters and I dropped it and it cracked and when I dropped it again, the screen was out of commission. So I needed to get my phone fixed before my trip to California and so I chose Phonefixation and from there it went from cracked, glitchy, and (allegedly) beyond repair to looking brand spanking new in about 20 minutes. $120 worth spending. I realized that the charger port wasn't working either because when I went to start listening to music it wouldn't play. That took a little bit longer but no more than 30 minutes to fix. I used all of my money to fix the screen, the charger port that was supposed to be another $120, they fixed it free of charge. You can also use cash app to make your payment because that's what I did. These guys are so chill and so professional I highly recommend this with not even the slightest bit of doubt. One of the guys there is nicknamed Phone Jesus and me being a Christian I don't mind it because it's funny and because the truth can't be more apparent of the fact that these guys know what they are doing, and I am happy to say that when duty calls for my phone to get fixed again, you better believe that the first place to go is at Phonefixation. Watch out at Phone Fixation in Lee's Summit, Mo. The speaker stopped working on my I Phone and they charged me $100 for the repair. When it was returned the speaker was fixed but you could not take pictures with the camera. They said that happens (no explanation as to why) and wanted to charge me an additional $130 to repair that. They outsourced the phone initially for repairs and if the outside source agreed to fix the second issue (after much back and forth) then there would be no charge. After 6 weeks, the phone that was returned to me, was not my original phone. The clerk insisted that it was mine even though it was a different color. Out of frustration I finally took the phone with me. When I went back to find out what happened to my original, Chris the manager RUDELY told me to get out and that I was trying to get something for nothing. All I was trying to get was my original phone. I am seventy years old and was insulted and felt they were trying not to help a customer but to intimidate and browbeat me. AGGRESSIVE! *point to know before reading [My Face ID has never worked]* I Went in for a screen replacement ($130) , got it back and worked perfectly & my Face ID now worked with this brand new screen.. The next day my phone wouldn't come on.. Just a black screen, so i went back the next day and explained it wasn't coming on after this recent screen replacement, and so they took care of it, fixed it, got the screen on and told me if it happened again to just come back in and they would fix it again. *Never replaced a Face ID sensor or did anything with my Speakers* The next morning (Easter Day) my phone did the same thing and wouldn't come on, Black Screen. So i bring the phone back to get the same process done and he says "give me an hour" i return to get my phone and says he has replaced "the Face ID sensor" and the "Ear Speakers" and a total of $60 was owed.. well i refused to pay because that is unauthorized work that should not have been done, the face id & speakers weren't an issue the first time, so why was it now after being told to bring it back in if it happened? Well the Bald Man proceeds to try and lock the doors and then VIOLENTLY GRABBED MY ARM that was holding my girlfriends phone and tried to take it... Long story short, he claims i stole a product (Face ID Sensor) but the Face ID doesn't even work now which i can prove, but the screen does. Horrible Experience for a 19 year old. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I have a phone that needed a simple screen replacement, so I went to this place by the Lees Summit Price Chopper. They told me that it would cost appx. $60. OK, not good but I let them. They said they'd call, and they didn't--I had to track them down--couldn't get them on the phone so I went there in person to see what the hold-up was--took longer than they said it would. The guy was working on it as I was walking in, and I saw him spray solvent on the case, which the manufacturer explicitly says NOT to do!! They said they weren't ready so I went home (close by). I came back about an hour later, AFTER I had been looking up on the internet that the $60 item they needed to fix it was only $8 on the web, AND when I went to their store to retrieve it when it was "fixed", the screen had liquid damage and could NOT BE READ!! I went back again to demand a refund (or partial refund), informing them that they were NOT supposed to use solvent and the up-pricing of the part, and I got nothing but a phone in WORSE condition...no refund and no apologies. AVOID THIS PLACE!! Go to UBreakiFIX in Blue Springs instead, who were able to tell me everything they think the other place did wrong as rookie mistakes AND fully fixed my NEW solvent damage the same day!!
