They're my carrier but I am slowly growing tired of not having any sort of unlimited data with their plans. I used to have this and then they ended it while other providers only increased data access for their patrons. It makes no sense. There isn't a technical desk for repairs and such at this location anymore which is a bit of a bother but I will say that every staff that I have ever dealt with is very helpful. It can get crowded depending on the time of day that you pop in and since customers rarely know what they are exactly seeking in terms of technology it can add to wait time. My contract is drawing to an end in a couple of months and unless there are better data offerings this might be my final go round with Verizon as a wireless provider. I just wasted the better part of my hour to we. First I waited 10 minutes while the employee responsible for telling my people to check in scrolled through his phone. Then when I checked in the through the digital system, I watched everyone around me who came after me, get taken care of. Some customers were clearly known to them or their their friends and some spoke their native language. I spoke up and told an employee what was happening and they just said "Have a good day". This is typical poor service of this particular local store as I have been in there 5 times over the course of many years with 5 Verizon lines in my house , and the same quality of service continues. If you value your sanity, your time, and your hard-earned money, stay far away from this particular Verizon shop. After surviving a severe bout of pneumonia and having my phone lost at the hospital, I was already exhausted. Verizon's skilled telephone tech coaches did their best to resolve a messy activation glitch and instructed me to bring the defective hardware to this store. The staff here is utterly disgusting. They are aggressively rude, completely incompetent, and dripping with an attitude of total entitlement. They didn't just fail to help me--they actively mistreated other patrons and me in the store. Shockingly, a major corporation allows such gross misconduct to happen on its retail floor. I am escalating this directly to Verizon Headquarters, but local consumers need to know: this store is a toxic waste of time run by a crew that deserves to be summarily fired. I changed to Verizon two months ago from another vendor where I was paying $70.00 per month. I agreed to switch to Verizon for $105.00 per month. I only agreed because of the IPhone 19. My bill was $104.00 for one month and now it went to $126.00 per month. No one in the Verizon world can explain or rectify the situation. I urge everyone to stay away from Verizon. Representative tells me we have none in stock (website says they do) when i tell him the website says they do he replies thats only for customers picking up preorders. Doesnt offer to help in any other way. Second time this year I went to this store and got treated like they didn't want to be bothered. I needed to buy a Cell phone. This was my first one since I actually prefer not to own one. I went to Verizon in Bayridge and met Gary. He was such a great help in picking out an easy phone to use that would not break the bank. I only wanted it for work. They insisted I buy one so they could contact me. He set up the phone and answered all my questions. He is a doll and the best customer service rep I have met in a long time. I really do not understand the negative reviews. On Thursday November 17th at 6:30pm I came to this store to purchase a case for my new iPhone pro max 14 that was to be delivered the next day on Friday. Needless, to say the cover the sales representative recommended and sold to me didn't fit so I went back the very next day at 5pm on Friday. The store was closed which I thought was odd. I checked the website and it said closed at 2pm. Again, odd for a store to close that time on a Friday in a very busy shopping area. Oh well, I'll just come back tomorrow (Saturday).. Saturday morning I checked their website and the hours stated 1pm-8pm. Found that odd, opening 1pm.. but, ok. So get there at 1:20pm and the store is still closed!! I checked the website then and it now says open 3pm- 8pm! How is this possible?? I called Verizon and was on phone over one hour getting the run around. Nobody knew why this store wasn't open. All I wanna do is exchange the new cover that doesn't fit for one that does! Cover cost $70. They told me on phone that no guarantee another store would exchange it for I didn't purchase it there. But I can always purchase the new one (an additional $60-70) then mail in the other one and they would gladly credit me the $70!,, I'm I in the twilight zone? ...... oh, BTW, the store didn't open at 3pm nor the rest of the day. I've been going to this Verizon location sporadically for years. Not because I want to but it's the only Verizon store in the Bay Ridge / Sunset Park area. And the service over the years gets worse. People (like me) leave constructive criticism yet we see 'Verizon Management' respond, apologizing and stating they will do better. Well it's 2022 and it has NOT gotten any better, actually it's worse. Every time I have gone to this store, I'm greeted kindly only by the security guard but the other employees make you feel that you are inconveniencing them when ironically they are there for us. Just recently, I went for a few 'notification' issues. An employee walks over, doesn't greet me, just comes over. I was never looked at in the eye and the person knew less than me. Not once did the rep think to look on a computer or to ask another person or even apologize for not knowing. They just fiddled around with my phone for a few minutes. There is no reason for anyone to go to this store except to get out of the rain! Of you have a tech issue, Google it or call Verizon Tech. If you need to buy a phone, go to Best Buy, where you're treated much better and will get a better deal. As far as 'Verizon Management' responding with an apology, save it. Gave this store one star because YELP does not allow zero stars. My daughter came in yesterday to purchase an IPhone to replace her old phone. We have 4 lines on our current plan and hers is the only phone that needed to be replaced. Simple transaction you'd think. The employee would not sell her a new phone; he told her she could not buy a new phone unless she traded in her old phone and upgraded to a new plan. I called Verizon Wireless customer service and both the agent and his supervisor told me that the store was wrong. There was no reason why we couldn't just purchase a new phone. They both alluded that the store's actions were improper and were probably an attempt to make more money by forcing us into changing our plan and trading in our old phone. I feel it's fraud when they told her she could not purchase a new phone unless we traded in and upgraded our current plan. They not only lost a sale of the phone and accessories (we purchased the phone directly from Apple), they lost any future business from our family and our friends. I do want to recognize Verizon Wireless customer service. 2 of the 3 people we spoke with were excellent. Good Evening, I need to share feedback about my recent visit to one of your stores in Brooklyn located 8524 5th Ave Brooklyn, NY 11209. I visited the store around 3:30p today interested in switch to Verizon from T-Mobile. Within minutes of entering the store I was turned off. First, by the general attitude of your associates. They lack some core fundamentals in customer service. I observed a lady, Kimona (I believe), was extremely rude to a customer whom appeared to be upgrading 3 lines to a new phones. One would think with the amount he was spending the rep could of been more nicer. What was ironic was he had a Verizon rep on his cell & the store rep refused to speak to another Verizon rep. But what seriously had me walkout was when I observed your store manager, Rafael, being rude to a blind customer who was trying to convey her concerns with the type of blindness she suffers from... I couldn't believe the lack of patience the manager expressed. I needed to share these concerns. I don't plan on joining Verizon. read more

The sales representative were good. But I was misinformed by them. Not sure if they were confused or misunderstood Verizon's own sales pitch. I ported my number from another cell provider. I purchased a new phone and was eligible for the gift card rebate. I paid for the phone in one shot as opposed to installments. My gift card rebate was rejected because I had to pay for the phone monthly in order to be eligible. I called Verizon, and they were only able to give me one month free service for their mistake. The one month of free service is only half the cost of what I should have received in the gift card. So not sure who to blame here, but make sure you question everything and get it all in writing. read more

I went there to upgrade my phone because it unexpectedly stopped working. I was in a bad way because I am a doc and the hospital, the trainees, the operators, and the emergency rooms I cover contact me by text, and it was broken. I was willing to pay whatever it took to get a working phone. I went to the door tonight, and there was a sign there saying wait here, but there were three salesmen inside who just looked at me. I took the handle of the door , and one of them came to the door. I told the salesman I had a real problem, and could he please help me. He said no, because it was 5 to 8pm. I said it was important, that I was a doc, and had a real problem, with no working phone. He said, " ok , which of my customers do you want me to throw out? Maybe you should go in there and ask them." I was disappointed. Everybody talks about honoring medical "heros." At Verizon, it's just lip service. I worked Covid ICUs , Covid wards, got spit on by coughing, vomiting patients to save their lives, and I never once said "Sorry, it's 5 to 8pm." Gah.. this is the local Verizon store in Bay Ridge. Oh there are plenty of Verizon stores in the city, and other places, but I count official Verizons stores as places where you can pay your phone bill at an atm thingy. My mom was like this - she said there are plenty of Verizon distributors that cell Verizon phones, but officially there's not a lot. This is also the closest Verizon with a shopping area, so my mom has no issues with making a trip out here. Service here sucks though. Yesterday as I was went to perhaps upgrade my mom's cell phone. My family made a quick trek over, but ended up waiting for long amount of time. It seems as though there were more techs than sales at the store yesterday, and I was pretty much complaining about this to my sister. i make it a practice to go visit Verizon stores to pay my bill. So you can bet I was annoyed. The only redeeming fact about this store, was that I knew there would be Spanish speakers. So next time, my mom can make it there herself. read more

The last thing I wold ever waste my time reviewing un food related is a cell phone store, since they usually all suck and I really don't do anything but eat and work so other businesses don't exist to me. However my experience here is one that took both my parents and me aback. The staff here from the manager, to girls fullfiling our order were all knowledgable and had good legit answers to every question we had. The manager was very patient and explained all the new plan options we asked him about and told us honestly which made sense for us and which didn't. Once he finished explaining, we didn't wait in line to be helped by one of the girls to make our new phone purchases. We asked the girls some more questions to make sure and they again knew the answers to everything and clearly explained it all. The girl who helped us even made jokes and made it a pleasure waiting for her to finish fullfilling the order. I will literally go out of my way to come to this location anytime I have to make any other Verizon changes or purchases. read more

The reps and managerial staff here truly have a difficult time understanding anything that goes beyond basic, kindergarten English. I was ready to go in and buy a phone and sign up for a two-year contract, both of which are ridiculously expensive, but the rep's incompetence is what really drove me away. The manager didn't help much, either. For some reason, she (i.e. the service rep) kept directing me to call Verizon customer service to answer some of my technical questions. If I'd wanted to call customer service, I would have -- why waste time walking into a store? Eventually, the manager was called out and he couldn't do any better. I'm not going to tell anyone to stay away from Verizon, especially if they're the only carrier that gives you good coverage. However, if you're shopping for a new phone and contract and you get good service from all four carriers, Sprint offers amazing coverage in NYC and the best prices. T-Mobile has really amped up its 3G network all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. And believe it or not, AT&T 3G is consistently faster than Verizon. Again, I was ready to commit to a $2,000+ two-year contract, but the way everything was mishandled at the Bay Ridge store is making me consider other carriers. read more

Stay clear away from these crooks. They do a lot of shady work where they make you stay 4+ hours just to port over a number or just anything with their shady business. Then on top of that, trick your account by giving you additional phone lines that you don't authorize onto the account. And make you deal with all these issues on your own. Then when they tell you they will give you some sort of compensation for all your troubles, that is a major lie just to get you out of the store so don't fall for their lies. Don't believe their fake positive reviews. Their negative reviews are the actual truth as everything I have experienced is exactly what they claim. I don't usually take the time to write bad reviews but... WOW. I just have to tell anyone who would bother to look this up -- RUN. I've been here all of three times and it was a miserable experience each time. This last time the manager, Ebony (I think that was her name anyway), was the opposite of managerial (as well as the opposite of courteous, opposite of personable, etc etc). It was as though we had walked up to a perfect stranger on the street asking for help. The eyes rolling, heavy sighing, eyebrow-rasising "whatever" expression on her face. I mean, wow. Steven and Kimonia were excellent! I went in there with an iPhone unlocked by Sprint for Verizon and I was having a hard time activating it. I was greeted warmly by the manager Steven who referred me to Kimonia, a pretty woman wearing chucks and rocking bright pink nails. Don't let the relaxed, informal atmosphere fool you, these guys know their stuff! I would give this location ZERO stars if I was able to. I have been using this Verizon store for years and knew it sucked balls but today was the icing on the cake. I went in there to get the iphone 4s. I originally wanted it in white, but they did not have it in stock. The man helping me told me they had it in black, I was like ehhh I dont know and decided to see if the morons in tech support could fix the problem on my current phone while I waited for the white iphone to come into stock. Anyway, while talking to the moron in tech support I decided I would just get the iphone in black because I planned on keeping it in the case anyway so what's the difference. The tech support pig vomit tells me they can't sell me the phone if I might return it. I'm like excuse me??? Who said anything about returning the phone??? So I ask to speak with the manager, pig vomit calls out elephant vomit the manager and have a secret talk prior to coming to speak with me. The manager comes out and says WE DO NOT HAVE IT IN STOCK. I'm like excuse me? The man in the front checked and you certainly do. I said to her, what is this nonsense about not selling me a phone if you think I might return it? What the hell does it matter to them? It's not like it's coming out of their pockets, and I wouldnt have returned the damn thing anyway. I have money I can buy a phone who the hell are they to stop me from doing so??!?!??!? Anyway the manager elephant vomit, she was very snide to me. She says "It's out of stock, do you want to see all the receipts from today of everyone who purchased a phone?" I said "SURE" elephant vomit said "I cant do that". Ummm what the hell was the point of that??? Are you proud to be a complete a-hole, or do you think your little manager position makes you a cell phone god? Completely in shock I start leaving the store and then decide I'm going to get elephant vomit's name and call corporate on her. Not only was she rude, she was racist and all I wanted was a phone that works that I was going to pay for!!!! So I ask elephant vomit for her business card, she rudely points to her name tag and says "Look, my name is right here" I look at the name tag all dull and grimey as her managerial skills it read "TYESHA" so I say, "ok Tyesha, what is your last name", she spells it out for me like I'm a kindergartener. I leave the store and ask run into a friend on my way home, I asked them to do me a favor and go into Verizon and say you want to buy the black iphone- MAGICALLY it was back in stock!!! Maybe TYESHA McCloud is a magician, holy Harry Potter, elephant vomit is in the wrong profession, she can give Kris Angel a run for his money! WOW! So I'm completely livid at this point I go home and call customer service and let them know what happened. The nice lady at customer service called the store for me and guess what THE PHONE WAS IN STOCK, however, NO ONE heard of TYESHA McCloud. Can we say LIARRRRRRRRRRR! The nice customer service lady gave me corporate's information to file a complaint which I gladly did. She also documented that she was lied to on the phone. Let's see if TYESHA McClassless has a job soon in this rough economy. Being a Verizon customer for a decade I never encountered such a disgraceful display of behavior. I always had nice things to say about Verizon and it's service however, I will be switching service providers due to the disgusting animals they hire to assist their customers. I understand they aren't making much money, but take some pride in what you do and have integrity. LOL. Ok. Went in one Sunday, asked if they had the LG G2, and some guy said no bc they only carry the "latest and greatest". Had a chat with him, he tried to sell me a different phone then I left. When I got home, I called verizon corporate and talked to some guy who was absolutely dumbfounded and said he had noooo idea why they wouldn't carry the LG G2 since not only was it NOT old, but it was one of their best sellers. He then let me upgrade early since I was a long time customer (I'm talking like 8years) After I got off the phone, curiosity struck me and I called the same store I just left and they said they carry the G2 and have it in stock. So literally 30min later, I hopped back on the train and went over there. When I got there, I went to some lady who seemed to be the manager, she was very nice and said a sales rep would be with me shortly. So I wonder around near her and the back desk, where 2 employees are just sitting there listening to reggae and fooling around on their own cell phones. I made eye contact with BOTH of them multiple times and they didn't say a thing. After about 10 minutes, which is a long time to just stand around and not do anything- the lady who initially helped me walked to the desk of the 2 people and told one of them to help me. Osei helped me, looking high as shit, and went in the back and got me a G2 (they had it all along) We literally didn't say a word the whole entire time other than I wanted a G2 and I had a coupon. During the process, I looked at his computer screen bc I don't think he quite understood the concept of what a coupon was and how it worked- he copped an attitude and told me I couldn't look at it. Then when my total was 87, the machine said 217 so I asked him if it was for sure 87 and not 217.... Again, attitude. Between all of this, some foreign guy was arguing with the lady next to him and of course he had to stop helping me for a while to argue with this guy. Osei wasn't even in the situation- he butted his fat head into the argument then tried to give the customer shit for arguing with him? Dude, the customer wasn't even talking to you, then when you talk shit to him, you wanna cop an attitude about why he's arguing with you? You brought yourself into it. Get a reality check and come back to earth hippie. Over all, this just made my check out longer than it already did between him arguing with the other customer and checking his instagram/twitter during the checkout (yes, I saw his screen) After checkout was done, he handed me my bag and receipt, then walked to the front without saying a word. Shitty ass service except that one lady. I wish I had her name, she was nice and helpful. Overall, I would totally have spent the extra 30-40min on the train to go somewhere else. Sheesh, I'm really sorry everyone else has had such terrible experiences at this place, but mine was wonderful. I had a new account, got there at 7:30 for the 30 minutes of set-up, but there were all sorts of problems with porting the number from the old provider. No matter to the customer service reps, who all ended up having to stay 45 minutes past closing time, and did so without complaint. The main guy helping me--I wish I had gotten his name--was just awesome. He just kept plodding away on it until it was fixed and in the meantime did a bunch of nice things like import info from my old phone...he didn't have to do that, it was nice. I was so embarrassed at having taken up so much of their time, but when I said "Thank you so much, I really appreciate all your hard work!" he just replied, "No problem. It's our job." By far some of the most disgusting service. I never come to this Verizon location because I know that it is terrible but I was desperate. I purchased the iPhone 8 at a Verizon location in the city (great service by the way) and I wanted to exchange the phone for the iPhone 8 plus before the 14 day expiration date to exchange had passed. Im not going to use names although I want to but the whole vibe in here is just off! The girl who was helping me was not friendly at all and she's supposed to be a "specialist" according to her name tag. She was talking to me as if I should know whats going on. Umm aren't you the specialist??? Not only that she said that the set up of the new phone was going to take over an hour. It did NOT take that long with the previous phone that I had set up in the city. I did not have an hour to spare so I started the set up there and left as she assured me it would be fine. She did NOT activate the new phone in my account!! I logged into my account from a PC and saw that it still showed iphone8 over an hour later. I couldn't text, couldn't make calls, apps were not downloading and I wasn't in a place to just pick up a phone and call. I went hours with NO service until I was finally able to call Verizon from another phone. I had to give them my SIM card number and the IMEI number. Why the hell didn't she activate my new phone when I was there?????She knew that was going happen. Really pathetic service. She was also trying to tell me I was going to have to pay some absurd fee!!! I had already paid all fees a week prior. When she did log in it showed I only had to pay a small amount for restocking and the difference in tax so I don't know what the hell she was talking about!!!! To add fuel to the fire an older woman came in and was asking for help with there bluetooth and another service rep was being really rude to her it was so sad to watch!!! If you cant be patient with someone who is your elder you're a really shitty person and should NOT be in customer service. Then another young foreign girl came in asking yet ANOTHER service rep about a check that she thought was a bill and he was looking at her like she was stupid. Overall this location is HORRIBLE and I hope it closes down. The people in here do not know how to handle customers!! If any top dogs from Verizon ever see this they need to get this location in check!! It is clear from the endless negative reviews!! This store is literally a joke. The "tech support" doesn't know anything. My iPhone speaker wasn't working so they opened my SIM card slot to check the "liquid sensor" to see if my phone was water damaged. They proceeded to tell me I took out the liquid sensor my self because it was missing from the SIM card jack LOLOLOL. Little do they know the sensor is actually next to the headphone jack. This was confirmed By apple and by Verizon on the phone. So I don't know if they were lazy or just plain stupid. I'll go with stupid. Long story short I went to apple and they took care of me. I had purchased two iPhone XR for me and my mother from this store !which did not come wrapped new (oddly) not sure why ? Upon receiving my phones was told to activate it by switching my old sim to my new phone .when I did this I noticed they mixed up the old numbers to the wrong individual phones ! I called Verizon and went to 3 stores and no one could help sadly they said return the phone to the store me and my mother will be ending our service !!! Verizon is the worse and never seem like they know how to fix there problems in store or out on the phone calls . We waiting 3 hour for our phones to be picked up even after paying ahead of time .???
