When I purchased 2 new phones in January they were helpful and friendly. One of the phones never worked right. After 4 weeks of working with Verizon Customer Service over the phone, they sent me back to the store to turn in the phone and get a refund. Horrible customer service from the moment I walked in the door! The manager,Anthony, actually said "I am the manager of this store, customer service is not my boss! If they want you to return the phone, they can send you a box"!! I've never been treated so poorly in a business before. Buyer beware! read more

Based on my interactions with Steven M, the knowledge and salesmanship of the employees here is laughable. First of all none of the phones I was looking at had prices on them or their memory size listed. He said they were supposed to but he didn't know why it wasn't displaying on the phone. What happened to just having signs in front of the phones? So then I asked what is the difference between this phone and the one that he said was $300 more that is a step up. This was his opportunity to make a sale. The only answer I got was that the second one was better. Had the same features but was better in no specific or measurable ways. Well because it's a different letter series it means it's better... So I go to buy the cheaper one and then he finds out that it's actually $200 more than he told me. Maybe prices listed would have helped him. I told him I was the account manager and he kept telling me to put my password on my dad's account because no way could I be the actual account manager even though I have all of the passwords for the family. it took half an hour for him to agree to let me sign in with my phone number and he was shocked that it worked. His only solution was to have me pay $20 to have him do it on the tablet instead of me using my account on the kiosk. He said I could call Verizon and try and get a credit but maybe he should let me sign in as a account manager and credit me the $20 himself for the half hour i wasted going along with his way. Meanwhile now with covid, your phone senses you're in the area and checks you in online before you enter the store. It was taking too long to tap through everything so I walked in for immediate service because they were all waiting around doing nothing, and then two of the workers start joking about how this person checked in and left and how stupid they must be to wait this long. They were quoting my phone number judging the area code... I was right there. And Steven's nose was out of his mask the whole time but let's not even go there. I cracked the screen on my phone and I pay an amount monthly towards insurance. Since I didnt know to do this claim I went to the closest verizon store to me for help they gave me two different methods to take care of this issue. I tried everything the store instructed me to do so I came to the store for the third time and they say why dont we just fax it for you and I think thank god it's over. But the next day I get up and no confirmation email for the fax so I wait til after noon still no email I go back to the store I talked to the manager Dan who I feel could have done alot more to help me in this situation. He threatens to throw me out of the store for saying his employee may have not sent the fax or sent it wrong. After him denying multiple times that it was in any way shape or form his or his employees. I left planning on joining another cellphone company I've used verizon for about 20years now. So I went to another verizon store who did all the work for me and had it done in less than five minutes. I really hope Dan's boss takes the time to read this because the lack leadership and training that the employees need is so obviously there. read more

The place is ok. I bought my Samsung Galaxy S5 there and was happy with the sale. The store is clean and they keep reasonable hours. I recently stopped back by the store, I had a minor issue with my phone. The Store was busy so they took my name so that I could be waited on when it was my turn. No problem, that makes sense. However one of the sales reps proceeded to pester me regarding Verizon Fios. I told him that I wasn't interested, that I just wanted someone to look at my phone . That wasn't enough, he kept going with his sales pitch. I finally grew frustrated and left the store. I was able to instant message Verizon help on my home computer and work with their tech support. Next time, I will avoid the store as much as possible. read more

I have to say I was very disappointed in the "customer service" my husband and I received in the Cicero store last night. We spoke with Andrea and she was condescending and very defensive right from the moment we walked in. She rarely made eye contact with us when she answered our questions. For example, my husband asked about the online offer that said you can get money back from trading in old phones. Our phone didn't meet the criteria but when she answered, she, without looking up, said, "It says it right on the website UP TO $300 right on there." She made things very uncomfortable. There was a male employee standing behind her, who witnessed the whole interaction. Also, I said I was interested in an iphone 8 plus and she shouted across the store, "Do you guys even have 8 pluses here?" Like I said, she was unpleasant from the minute we walked up to the counter. I told my husband that we needed to leave because I didn't want to deal with her another minute. We left and went to AT&T to see what our options were there which were pretty comparable but we went with them because of this situation. I other words, Verizon lost 4 lines because of Andrea alone. I also got the phone that I wanted at at&t. I don't usually speak out about this kind of thing but this was exceptionally poor service so I felt compelled to. -Wendy read more
