I spent a whole weekend calling/stopping by Verizon stores near me (Bethlehem) for a new phone and plan. The Conover store was the ONLY store that didn't push me onto the new 15, which I specifically said I was not interested in. He did try to show it to me, but I stopped him and he dropped the issue. Other stores wouldn't let it go, like a rabid dog. No means no. The guy at the new 127 store seemed overly knowledgeable about all things cellular and wanted us to know it. It's just a cellphone, I'm 60; I don't care about "5G" (only works in major cities; we're in Hickory) I'm not taking selfies or tic toking (whatever you call it) or doing social media. Just need to make a phone call, text or snap a cute picture of my family get-together to print and frame. FINALLY went to Conover store by old Kmart building. My guy Gabe didn't pressure me into anything and let me "drive" where I wanted to be with my phone and cell plan. Took all of 15 minutes! Setting up/transferring data took about 25-30 min, Ryan helped me with that and we had a great talk about each other and our loved ones-no cell talk! Gave me a deal on my phone and great credit on my trade in. Very pleased w experience. Let's hope the phone doesn't disappoint, and if it does, they'll take it back for something else. If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely with. We came in to get a new phone and began working with a sales guy! He had our account pulled up and we were discussing what we wanted. Another lady entered the store 5-10 minutes after our arrival and the "manager" refused to help the lady and was incredibly rude to her and rather than help, instructed the guy helping us to help the new lady right then. The manager needs major training on customer service and just general respect for people. I haven't seen a manager treat a customer like that before in a while. read more

Derrick is the best. I had been an AT&T customer for over 10 years, my wife needed a new phone, I had just started a business and I asked a friend where I should go to get a new phone. He quickly recommended Derrick at Verizon. Even though I was a loyal AT&T customer, I went to see Derrick. I had negotiated a pretty good deal with AT&T through the years, so i didn't know if Verizon was going to be a good solution or not. Derrick explained the plans, took time to hear what I needed for personal and business needs, and....we made an appointment to meet at the Conover location. Maybe doesn't sound like a big deal, but how many people in this industry keep appointments? Derrick did, he was ready for my wife and I. We thought we wanted an unlimited plan, and Derrick looked at our usage history and suggested a less expensive plan that fit our needs. He arranged the rebates, took time AFTER the sale to make sure all was good, and even filled out the paperwork for us to submit the rebate forms. The short story is this: Go to Verizon in Conover. These people were no help! They couldn't fix my phone or give me a new one even tho I have warranty on it I had to fill out a lot of paperwork and still had to pay full price on the phone just to get the same one again all they did was take my money read more

Please be careful and read your contracts before signing. I was mislead by salesmen at this location as to what was in the contract. I was charged a monthly fee for equipment for which I was told there would be no fee. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for 15 yrs. but will not be signing any more contracts with Verizon. read more
