Had a great experience with a very knowledgeable guy in store to move my 3 phones over to Verizon. But in the final few minutes of the 3 hours.... Their fraud dept. said they couldn't verify me. I kind of went into a panic if someone had done some dark web study. They wouldn't say why or anything and Johny said I need to wait at least 6 days to even try again. ??!! But its end of summer, was wanting to change companies and refresh our phones...before travel. Now , it became about running home and calling all three Credit Unions to see what the problem was. This took 2 hours. And they all were perplexed saying everything was perfect as I can see from the one I am subscribed to. I went online to Verizon and maybe I should not have done this... but was calling in about what happened and has nothing to do with Credit Unions so- what could this be now & why?? They said I was suppose to arrive at the store with proof of certain bills in my name. ( Have you ever heard such a thing? Not even in their commercials) And the ones they wanted are in my husband's name and the others were for my local address which I kept trying to get them to try just using my local address. They tried my other address finally -as I was trying to have Johny do, and it was all Fine in an instant. This was another 2 hours later. But the process and scare and verbiage used to talk to me felt a little handmaids tale in the process- and in the old days you don't give a place like this your business. But the panic originated from that security call at the store that made it feel like something really terrible JUST occurred on my identity. So my day was just LOST to Verizon. 9 hours I cannot get back! (As I still had to go back to the store to pick up my phones.) Just be wary if you have a billing and mailing address that are different- be prepared for a circus- even though your 1st 3 hours are smooth. read more

Are any phone shops legit anymore? It's like walking into a used car sales lot and trying to get hustled. Basically I had the easiest and best deal for the Verizon store where I'm moving 6 lines from ATT and Comcast to Verizon so they're getting 6 new lines of business. I had it listed out exactly what I wanted and just needed everything changed. Initially when I walked in, I actually had an awesome guy named James who was very thorough and helpful. I unfortunately didn't have time that day to change the lines over and came back a different day and wish I waited on a day James was there but instead my wife and I came back to a younger guy working there and it was terrible. He was unhelpful and can tell he didn't want to be there. The entire experience took nearly 4 hours to change the lines over which I know takes a lot of time and that wasn't the problem. The problem was him trying to constantly sneak in fees here and there. Initially he agrees to remove the initiation fees since we've moving over so many lines which later he did not do and snuck it in. We eventually complained online which they removed it but he literally wrote it down on the paper and assured us he'd do it. Secondly, he tried to enroll us in a higher tier plan that we didn't need. He literally wrote down on the contact which plan we wanted and he tried to sneak in a higher tier plan which we caught. Lastly, there were issues transferring the comcast lines over which again I'm not blaming verizon, these issues happen and I'm sure comcast intentionally makes it difficult to change over, BUT the following day when we kept getting texts from Verizon saying there are issues and to speak to an associate, we calls the Verizon shop back and told them the issues and it was the SAME guy helping us the day before and he pretended he didn't know us and didn't want to help us at all. He was super unhelpful. We ended up going to a different Verizon shop and they fix the problem in literally 15 mins and they weren't even involved with our initial line transfers. Don't go to this shop or at least don't go to the associate I had. So many other Verizon shops out there and this one is really disorganized. read more

They told me on Saturday I had to be an administrator. We changed my role to administrator. Then I came in on Monday and they said I needed to be the POC. So we changed me to the POC but they couldn't see it on their system so Grisha insinuated that we lied about calling Verizon and were committing fraud. No apologies whatsoever saying "I'm so sorry we can't help you today" and no suggestion to wait a day for the change to show up on their system - just total jerks who are on the lookout for their customers committing fraud - not at all interested in providing service to their customers. February 6th afternoon, I needed some assistance with my plan and decided to visit the Verizon Store at 1500 Redwood Hwy, Suite K001, Corte Madera, CA, 94925 Walked into the store from a heavy rain outside, and approached the greeter: Did I have an appointment? No. Did I expect immediate service? No Could the greeter at the store on February 6th at roughly 4:15PM been any more inconvenienced and less interested in being helpful? I suppose anything is possible, though he clearly had no interest in assisting me, after an awkward 30 seconds to a minute, I calmy walked out. Have found in life when things start this poorly rarely does the experience improve. With so much consolidation and fewer choices, the reality is there is simply less value available to the consumer. The bald bearded employee who "helped" me was extremely combative and argumentative, and offered me no actual help with my issue. His tone of voice was unacceptable for a customer service representative. All I wanted was to discuss plan options, and he repeatedly told me to just use the app instead, even after I had explained that I had already used the app. Honestly since Verizon did away with their loyalty discount and clearly has no issues employing terrible customer service reps, we'll probably change carriers. My 87 year old dad needed a new phone, so I spent a couple hours trying to set everything up online. We finally completed the sale, so i sent my dad to the Corte Madera store to pick it up. They refused to give it to him because he isn't listed as an administrator on the account. The phone is listed under his name on the Verizon account and he had ID to match. His old phone that he had with him has the same number. He had the online receipt. No. Nope. Not gonna happen! They insisted that my mom go to the store in person. She's 82 and recovering in bed from back surgery, so that would be difficult. They didn't care and made no effort to find a solution. If she came to the parking lot, could someone come out to the car to see her ID there? No. She would have to walk INSIDE the store so their security cameras could document it. Could we FaceTime so the sales guy could hold the screen with her ID up to their security camera? No, she had to personally come into the store. Has Verizon never worked with disabled customers??? Finally we realized that she could add him as a manager over the phone, so Dad waited at the store while Mom called Verizon from her bed to add him (and everyone knows how much it sucks to call Verizon). She finally got him added and they agreed to release the phone. When he asked for help in setting up the new phone and transferring the data, they said it would cost $40. F-U Verizon! I spoke with the sales person on the phone and pointed out that when I upgraded a few months ago, I wasn't charged. Nor was my wife or any of our three kids. Our family has owned literally dozens of phones over the years and we have NEVER ONCE been charged to help set it up. I accused him of elder abuse and trying to fleece senior citizens, at which point he finally acknowledged that he could waive the fee and agreed to help my dad. WTF, Verizon! My recent experience at Verizon's Corte Madera store was one of the most disappointing I've had in years. When my Samsung S24+ developed a serious speaker issue, I biked through the rain to the store, expecting the same courtesy I'd received before--like staff calling my account holder for authorization. Instead, I was told that prior help was "non-standard policy." I left soaked and dismissed. Calling Verizon's 800 number was a mixed bag: the first rep was slow and unprepared, but the second was excellent--she waived the $49 fee and shipped a replacement overnight. That was the one bright spot. Then came the eSIM disaster. A UI update triggered automatic eSIM activation while my physical SIM was still installed, killing my service. Back to Corte Madera I went. Again, no help--until I used their landline to call the account holder and get added as an admin. Only then did the staff engage, but what followed was a circus: teasing about fake fees, fumbling fixes, and immature behavior. They removed my physical SIM without asking and activated eSIM, eliminating my ability to use a backup phone. I understand Verizon is moving toward eSIM. What I don't understand is the lack of consistent policy, the poor treatment of customers--especially older ones--and the absence of respect. I saw no employees over 50. Is age bias at play? Hey everyone, heads up on October 2nd 2025, We visited the Corporate owned Verizon store at 1500 Redwood Hwy in Corte Madera @ 3:10PM We walked in a greeter with no name tag visible, so he was a shaved head, bearded guy in a Verizon uniform ish. He started right in on us asking "Do you have an appointment: No...... He ask what we needed. We asked for account assistance to explain multiple fraudulent charges on our account. Well that changed his whole tone from helping to defensive. He tried to shuffle us off to a table in the back part of the store out of site of other customers, I assume to prevent them from hearing our issue with the fraudulent account charges. I said FRAUD and everyone in the store looked over. The nameless guy, (We didn't bother to ask his name, after his rude and disrespectful display).....he went on, now muffling his voice..... Sir you need to contact the fraud dept. I can't help you with that here "Thats why we have a fraud and accounting dept" I advised him we were told to come by the store if we had additional questions.....by the fraud Dept" he had No response. At this point we just had to ask this guy.........So let me get this straight, a customer that started their account at The Verizon corporate Store in Corte Madera 17 years ago, with the red carpet out at the time Doesn't deserve red carpet service or respect now ? .......It's changed over time to you now just get swept under the red carpet? ....... Here is what it was all about On August 14th 2025, Our current phone's started blowing up with multiple texts (14 of them) congratulating us and thanking us for our new purchases, followed by multiple text, links to the receipts and contracts in theory that we had purchased and signed up for. WOHA NO. We immediately checked our account and sure enough it showed we had bought two brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max phones, in two different colors, nice choices too, and an Apple watch Ultra 2 Black to match, super nice. (Immediately Changed the Passwords and PIN #'s ) The perpetrator(s) added a data share plan onto our current primary phone for the wifi capable watch. To make it a complete deal they set trade in's at $800.00 each for our two 15 pro max phones that are still in use......yep in use......then all associated charges that would have to be paid at the time of pick up where deferred to our next months bill. The trade in was set up at the Corte Madera Store as well, how convenient of them. This would indicate the perpatrators got into the account deep enough to get our address and locate our marked local VZN store is. While we where still logged into our account August 14th it shows that all 3 items were ordered from ?????? Or online ??????? but also indicated the phones and watch had been piked up on August 15th 2025....... Wait it's still August 14th????.....how's that even possible ? Overseas ? We had to spend the next week calling the Verizon fraud dept. and to date still have not got this 100% resolved. Had to Change passwords, pin numbers again, on every account we have, not sure how far the thieves got into the account and current phone data. E-sim numbers changed, IMEI # changed, WOW welcome to the nightmare folks. The Verizon agent says don't worry we will take care of everything. Yea ok, Verizon is going spend a week changing our data..... NO. .....If you hear those words from a Verizon Agent "We will take care of everything" Make like Forest Gump and RUN FOREST RUN. They finally after multiple calls and live texting sessions from people with giant language barriers. All reading canned messages with tons of apologies with no corrective actions. Hey they will happily transfer you around in circles. Our 17 year journey started @ The Verizon's Corporate owned store in Corte Madera and Ended there 8-2-25 WARNING: Account take overs, bills fee's added, no explanations, Are happening to lots of Verizon customers check the web, no need to trust our experience with this. check it out yourself. the list is long. The Verizon App doesn't work too well. It is a lot of trouble just to get a detailed bill. The authentication process is also flawed-codes don't always get sent . When codes do get sent they take you back to the very beginning and then of course the code doesn't work. Can't reach a live agent either to help on weekends. No other Company offers such flawed service. read more

My company sent me a new iPhone at home and I started to transfer it it from AT&T to Verizon and that happened to be the day Verizon Activation Server took a dump. so I had both phones showing SOS for cell service. I was told, after an hour of trying a service agent to clean up the mess that previous agents had made of my phone, that it was a hardware issue, it was my phone,and there was nothing they could do, and I should find another carrier. They were 100% wrong. Apple checked my new iPhone 13 Pro, no hardware issues at all. The 6th Verizon agent that I "chatted" with online was able to fix the problem in less than 5 minutes. After 4 (mostly wonderful) years, my iPhone 6 crapped out on me. Time for an upgrade. So I paid a visit to my local Verizon store which is now located in the Corte Madera Village Shopping Center (it used to be across the highway @ the Town Center). They did a nice job with the place. It feels like a high-tech lounge with plenty of seating and open space featuring all the latest wireless gadgets + gizmos (my! how the world has changed in just a few years!). Word to the wise - if you're planning on coming in on a weekend, it's probably best to make an appointment/reservation. When I arrived, there was a 30-minute wait that turned into 45 minutes. And I guess that's all fine, especially if you want to do some shopping at Macy's or one of the other stores or just grab coffee at Peet's. When they finally were able to see me, I told my salesman (I believe his name is Phillip) what I wanted (something simple with no fancy bells or whistles and/or crazy upsell) and he made it happen in under 20 minutes. He gave me a $70 trade-in for my old phone and hooked me up with the iPhone 8. Transferring the info from my old phone to the new one was easy-peasy. Long story short... I'm happy to say that I'm back walking and talking again with a solid cell phone. Life is good again. : ) read more

If unavoidable, advise strongly that you avoid Carlos who is extremely officious, persnickety and rude to customers as well as to his staff. Switching to Verizon turned out to be a huge mistake costing me hundreds of dollars more than they said it was going to be. They could never give me a straight answer on why my bill was so high? Averaged $30.00 more a month than it was supposed to be and every time I called they would assure me my next month bill would be the agreed amount or lower. I ended up with 6 different monthly quotes as to what the bill would be the next month due to an overcharge or a service I never ordered! My bill never went down. Never happened!!! I happily have taken my business elsewhere I'm now steadying myself to file a complaint and get some of these charges refunded. Wish me luck. read more

My (9 months pregnant) wife and I came to this store to exchange an Apple Watch at 10:15 AM on a Tuesday. A manager at the front said he was happy to help but only after some other staff come in (at noon). The store was virtually empty. I asked him why he couldn't just help us (he wasn't doing anything). He said we have to wait and it's not "just the click of a button". I wasn't going to make my wife wait around until this rude guy got his act together. Verizon Claims its about Customer Service but they are far from it. On 2 separate occasions they have managed to make me feel like a complete idiot. The first I came in there to inquire about the family plan and how it worked. The associate rolled his eyes, gave me attitude, and made me feel retarded - I'm sorry I don't know how a damn family plan works... how the talk time, text, etc is divide up amongst 4 phones - What I do know is it's your job to help this CUSTOMER out. The Second time is where I just got a new LG Extravert and I changed the ring tone but every time people would call me it would use a different ring. The guy had no idea what he was doing, couldn't explain to me why this was happening, and gave me attitude trying to make me feel stupid - but the irony is YOU work here... yet you don't know anything about this product. He then told me the only solution is to either wipe my entire phone or I can manually change each ring tone for the 200 contacts I have in my phone. It will only take a few seconds... well guess what pal.. it took 30. So thank you for your Assistance. Rude, Unprofessional, Lack of product Knowledge and HORRIBLE customer Service. Here's how you get around the wait for help at this store but it does take courage. Cancel and go to T Mobile. Their office is in front of the center, the crew is exceptionally attentive. But as I was a long, long time Verizon customer, I did not continue for price and service reasons. Been now 3 months. I have been in the Corte Madera store only once since be phones were added. Who knows if T Mobile store will get crazy like Verizon as more people realize it is there. Still, no complaints at this point.
