I recently switched from Sprint and got Google Pixel 2 XL with Verizon. The transfer and new phone setup was average, more or less the same as any other experience I've had with a port (some complications but mostly it was alright). Then the phone started having hardware problems... Uh oh. I called in and was directed to head to the nearest store for a hardware swap. I ended up going to this store on 16th Street, prepared for the standard unhelpful, unknowledgeable store clerk you usually get in this type of situation. Instead I was treated with the utmost respect by Rep Marcus as well as the rest of the crew there. They were so knowledgeable and gave me tips on how to optimize my new device. I got a new phone with no problems and they even helped me get the screen protector on and all my contacts switched over. I'm coming here for all my phone needs from now on. This location sucks!!! Have a broken phone on my line with insurance and they did everything in there power not to help us out. They saw I was eligible for an upgrade and didn't want to get my paid off phone fixed at that point. Cell phone commissioned employees are no better than a used car salesman and this store is full of them. Save yourself a trip and just call the online. Went in to get a few things fixed on my replacement iPhone. Was helped in a somewhat timely manner, people are busy, I get it. Everyone looks pretty somber in this store, but I figured it's whatever. Jacob helped me when it was my turn. He was very friendly, patient, and made an otherwise cumbersome errand a bit less so. He worked to try to find a solution for me, even when he wasn't totally sure of how to do so. Finally, a descent Verizon store. I came in looking to upgrade my phone as I will be traveling in the future. I was looking at a dual core 4g phone, specifically the Bionic. The Bionic wasn't out, but the guy had no problem telling me to wait until it comes out. Also, had to get service on the USB Port on my droid X. They were very helpful and the lines seemed to move faster then the average VZN store. read more

Alice G is SPOT ON! We went into this location last night having done our research on plans and phones knowing EXACTLY the direction we wanted to take. I was moving back to Verizon from AT&T with my Verizon iPhone 5S and my fiancé was going to upgrade to the 6s. We stated what what we needed in an effort to be efficient and not eat up our evening. We got a total used car salesman pitch including the threat that my phone would not work to be ported over from AT&T to Verizon and that I would have to buy a new iPhone. We strongly disagreed and after he excused himself multiple times to have 'discussions' with the manager, he agreed to use a temporary 'new' phone number to port my phone to see if the process could work.....and of course it did! IMAGINE THAT! So instead of continuing the porting process so I would leave the store with my original phone number, he hastily moved to the new phone (money in their pocket) to get the setup going. Once that was complete he moved back to my phone to change the temporary 'new' phone number over to my original phone number. How ironic, the porting system was down. This was over 90 minutes from the time we walked in the door and now the store was closing. He gave us a phone number and instructions where we could go in and do this ourselves later in the evening and upon taking action, we found out the number he gave us needed an employee identitfication number. I gave Verizon Wireless customer service a call this morning....the 800 number that truly does represent customer service. They were able to help me over the phone and because I was having difficulty due the the way this had been set up in the store...they actually did the steps FOR ME and called me back once it was completed to let me know how to activate it. I truly want to believe the salesperson we dealt with was a puppet of the manager and getting groomed in used car salesman tactics. I want to believe he actually wanted to deliver authentic customer service but he couldn't or he may risk his job. We make every effort to deal with Verizon Customer service through the 800 number and NEVER set foot in a retail store. I would recommend that if you DO need to visit a store, do NOT set foot in this one! read more

Never use Verizon. I closed my account with them on the 27th of August. They charged me $100 for services not provided through the 22nd of September. Evidently this is per the service agreement to avoid pro-ration. To me this is just straight up theft. Never use this company for anything. They are awful and just straight up crooks. read more

This store is the worst. Be prepared to wait in the endless line, even if the store is empty. The employees at this store are incredibly shady. I was told many things that were not true. When I bought my new phone from them, I told them I did not need a new car charger because my old one would fit and work with my phone. Imagine my surprise when I got home, and discovered in the bag of merchandise a car charger that they charged me for. When I called the store to talk to the manager and complain about it, they tried to tell me that I had to buy a bundled package and the charger was actually free. I could read on my receipt that I was charged. I ended up having to go to a different store and was refunded for the car charger. However that also required a half hour wait at the other store. Save yourself time and just go to the other store. read more

I bought a new iphone 6 in November and discovered on my Dec Visa bill that Verizon had charged me the full purchase price ($700+) for my phone, though I had signed up for a 2 yr contract to spread the cost. I called Verizon and they told me I needed to go into the store I purchased it from to have the charge reversed....A month later and it was not credited on my Visa....I talked to them again and they assured me it would be taken care of....guess what, January bill came and still nothing. Once again I talked to them at the store and they would have something done....nothing. Finally, I called yesterday and they said that too much time had gone by and that Verizon didn't want to refund the money, but I could get some cool deals now that I owned the phone. Are you kidding, Verizon!!! Now that I don't have a contract, I guess I'll be free to take it to another carrier. read more

This is a complaint about the honesty of the store on Lane Ave in Upper Arlington, OH. The clerk there is named Max Glassford. I took my Verizon phone in before Christmas in 2016 and I told him it wasn't charging. He looked at it and plugged it in and said "Yep, its a bad board." So I bought a new phone. He sold me a phone and I asked to see the other charger, which I plugged into the old phone and the phone charged fine. I told him later he didn't need to lie to me, I wanted to get a phone anyway. He also sold me a case for the phone, which wasn't in stock yet. "Oh, it'll be in next week, he said. "I'm not supposed to do this, but...here's a loaner case," he said. I have visited Max many times and called as well. He will not deal with the problem. He refuses to send the case! This has been going on since Christmas 2016! Stay away from Max and that crooked store. read more

First off I would like to mention the ONLY good thing about Verizon. They have a great selection of phones. Now that being said the rant. Verizon's idea of customer service is waiting on hold for at least 5 minutes before someone will answer, and then have no knowledge of their own product's agreements. I had to call 8 times in one day just to ask why I was charged a security deposit without my knowledge or authorization! (BTW my wife and I went to Sprint and there was no deposit). I also found out later that the activation for 2 phones (that was supposed to be $30) was actually $60. Needless to say my wife and I cancelled the service before activation even went through. So in closing...Verizion you are a bunch of thieves! CAN YOU HEAR ME KNOW?! read more

I went into this Verizon store to change from a different carrier. I was helped by Shelly. She was very helpful, knew what she was talking about, and didn't try to hard-sell me on extra services. I was happy I was switching. HOWEVER, I noticed when she showed me the final order that my name was spelled wrong. She promised she would fix it before the order was submitted, but when I got the email confirmation it was still spelled wrong. I called Verizon customer service and was told they could fix it, but I had to wait until I received my phone and activated it. The rep promised to call me the day after I got my phone to correct the mistake. I got my phone and activated it, but received no call. I called customer service myself and was told after a long hold time that I could not correct my name until I had the account for 30 days! Verizon tells me this is due to identity theft concerns. Fine, but the original error should not have been made in the first place. I am a brand new customer and am already infuriated at the terrible customer service. read more

Came in at opening because this is the only store open at 9am. My business line wasn't working and we open for business at 8am. At 910 they opened up at took the me in. I figured as the only customer I'd probably get decent service. At 940 I was told they can order a refurbished phone ( of the model I paid $450 for three days ago.) And it would arrive in 3-5 business days. I explained I need any working phone immediately and this want acceptable. At that point I offered my old phone to see if it could be activated and used for such purpose while waiting for the replacement to arrive. I was then told that's not possible and no store will be able to help you. Went to the site on Colorado and Evans, got a new phone in 5 minutes and was out the door. Wow, easy Best part, i get an email from Verizon asking for my service was the next morning. Ha! read more

Iphone 6 mysteriously stopped working. No trauma or water. Phone call to customer service who said take it to Verizon Store. Went to this location and they were standoffish as though it were no big deal and I should just hop in my car and head to the apple store and simply swap it out. I asked them about what the service rep said and they said" they lie to get you off the phone. We sell apple products, we can't vouch for their quality and we can get you one in two days, or overnight it for 14.00" . OUCH! Not a confidence inspiring visit. read more

I stopped in just to look at the new phones. A nice woman put me on the list for a rep to help me. I swore to myself that i'd be gone before the rep became available. This was just gonna be a quick visit, to look a few phones and think about an upgrade in the new year. Well, 2 mins. later a nice young man was by my side, showing me all the phones, teaching me how to swipe-type, and i was hooked. 40 mins. (and a credit-card swipe) later, he had all my apps, contacts, gmail, etc. loaded on the new phone and i was outta there. Pretty impressive!! :) read more

I have been to this store a few times now because of it's close proximity to my office, and had negative experience each time. The first time I was transferring a line from a corporate 2 year plan to a personal month to month account, with the early termination charged to the corporate account, due to a change in my company's cell phone policy. Instead, they charged the early termination to my personal account. When I asked to speak to a manager, she told me the first person had done everything correctly and that it was impossible to make the switch charging the termination fee to the original corporate account. Several of my co-workers were able to have this done at other locations; they simply don't know what they're doing here. Additionally, when they set up my account, they spelled my name wrong even though they had my driver's license right in front of them. On another visit, I brought in my old phone and a new one I purchased (both Samsung Galaxy models) to have them transfer information over. They couldn't figure out how to do this. I was able to complete this on my own later. Finally, I went in to have my plan changed back in January from "The MORE Everything Plan" to the "Verizon Plan". Although the customer service rep told me the change was complete, and I should see the new pricing in my next bill, I just found out it was never actually changed when I was on the phone with one of the 1-800 reps. The customer service at this location is awful, and the impression I got from their management indicated they have no desire to change. read more

I was just in this store today trying to get my iPhone fixed because it hadn't been connecting to service so I could only use my phone through wifi. I had called Verizon tech support prior to going into the store and they said that my SIM card was out dated and I needed a new one. So I signed in and patiently waited for technical support. Finally, an employee named Adam was able to "help me" by replacing my SIM card. With the new SIM card my phone would no longer turn on and the employee told me to make an insurance claim on the phone. I went in with a phone that was at least working through wifi and now my phone won't even turn on and I have to pay for it. read more

So extremely disappointed in this location. I was there with my mom 3 days ago and she bought a brand new iPhone bundle. The sales rep also upsold me on buying a tempered glass screen protector for my iPhone 6. Two days, yes, two days later, my phone screen shatters. Not the protector but my actual screen. I called the location last night and was told to come in the next day (today) with my order number and they would replace it. Today, I called to confirm and the manager was so kind and offered me a courtesy replacement after I reexplained the situation. I had an appointment to get my phone screen fixed and asked her if I should come before or after. She said to come after and to bring my fixed phone, order number and receipt for the replacement screen. I just left the store and am appalled with how I was treated. Of course, she was off when I get there and the guy that put the protector on originally was there. Him and his manager on duty immediately begin to tell me that I need to purchase a new one since I didn't bring the old screen protector. I was never told to bring it and it was obviously discarded when my phone was repaired, as I was instructed to do. The GM then tells the manager on duty "allegedly" that they will not replace it and once I ask to speak to the GM, he just so happened to have just went on lunch .. How convenient! The manager was rude but even admitted that he heard my conversation over the phone with the the manager earlier ... So at what point is the customer not right?! On top of that, he said he refuses to give me a replacement and offers me one for 25% then 35% off a new one because he heard her tell me to bring the old protector to swap out! Once I told him that was false and she never said that, he went silent because he knew that was not true. As I'm leaving the store once I turned down the rude managers offer, he says to his sales rep multiple times loudly enough so I can hear, notate her account, notate her account. How rude! I have been a Verizon customer for a while and have never experienced such disrespect and attitude. Especially during the holidays. I will be calling back to speak to the original manager that I spoke that offered me a courtesy replacement because no one deserves to be treated this way. Just plain rude. read more

Even though I only wanted to have them reactivate a phone for me they still tried to push extra services and phones on me. When the phone I was trying to reactivate was not working (it worked fine before) the sales person became antagonistic and unhelpful. When I tried to see if they could fix another bricked phone I had they were clueless. Really?! Months later I called to ask why the promotion never posted... apparently the promotion did NOT apply to my purchase. I stopped by this store because my iphone was broken and I wanted to look into getting a new one. I was assisted by Joshua who was absolutely amazing. He patiently walked me through my options, answered all my questions honestly and let me take my time in making decisions. He ended up doing a number of complicated transactions for me and had to stay 30 minutes past closing to do so. But he didn't seem to mind at all. And then he told me to come see him directly if I ever have any questions or problems so that I don't need to deal with calling customer service. I don't want to overwhelm him with customers but if you have any questions or issues with anything phone or verizon-related, go see him. They really should just put him in charge of anything customer-related at Verizon. read more
