Purchased a new I Phone 14 and several accessories. Employees very helpful until I came back in with a faulty lighting cord. I was told that I would have to contact the manufacturer directly for replacement, MWORKSPRODUCTS.COM. I voiced my displeasure that I could not just exchange for a new one. As expected, I sent a few e-mails without a single response, I am out $34.99 plus tax that I paid for the cable. In my quest for an exchange I found that this location is a Verizon Authorized dealer and not a company store. The dealer name is Victra and in my opinion they misrepresented themselves as a Verizon company store. If they were a company store, I think this would have gone as it should with me getting a new lighting cord. This is not a good look for Verizon either. read more

**Buyer beware** Ask for your itemized bill before you buy anything! We switched over to Verizon to try out the network. The network is great, but that is about it. We went into this store and got new lines and was told we would be signed up for the $65 per line. After seeing the bill through the app, I saw that the wrong plan was selected on the bill, we were signed up for the $75 per line instead of the $65 per line. As I was viewing the bill I start to notice other charges that the salesmen never talked about, things like home device protection and the device protection adding up to around $75 in additional charges. When I call them about the charges they said, "just log into the app and change the plans and drop the extra add-ones." Well, guess what? After calling Verizon multiple times they cannot change the first bill because it has already been processed. So, because the sales guy at the store inflated my bill, I get stuck paying a bill that has services on it that we didn't want. read more

Good looking gal tells anton he not need battery he should buy new phone but anton don't want fancy shmansy new phone it not dat old. anton not too high teck if you know what dat means. so she tells us go to battery store she cant help us which we know dats not right but what can we do but go to battery pluses store then. she not helps much so I dont know what she does there. seems that they all want to sell new phones but not help with ones they sold before dat. anton don't fall for dat an then we went and had cold beers at the carminas joint and had good tacos and beans. Walked in at 8:30 on Black Friday. Because of the big neon sign that said OPEN and the unlocked door and the customers inside, I stupidly thought they were open. When I walked in just to look around the girl behind the counter all the way across the room yelled at me that they were closed. I never felt more unwelcome or humiliated in a store before. To do that in front of all of the other customers that were there was unprofessional and rude. I will not return to this store. read more

Buyer Beware! While purchasing a new phone the employee placed a screen cover on the phone acting like it was a bonus with my purchase. Even though the receipt says all phones and accessories can be returned within 14 days with a 25% restocking fee -they would not refund me for a $80 screen protector. YES EIGHTY DOLLAR SCREEN PROTECTOR. No where on the receipt does is say the screen protector is non-refundable. So for a $130 purchase I got refunded $5 dollars for 12 days of use. I felt like I got conned so the manager could make a sale. I called the district manager Johnny with my complaint. I will update this post with his response. *UPDATE* the journey continues continues. Johnny called me and I told him what happened. He responded, "I will have to get the store's side of the story then call you back in the next 48 hours." That was a week ago and still no call back. In addition my Verizon bill has a $30 setup charge on it. Bri from GoWireless Advocate called me but it has not seemed to have any effect on Johnny. I will continue to update this response, as of now it's still 1 star **Second UPDATE** well Johnny called me back. Not within 48 hours but in 8 days but who is counting? I ended up getting roughly $110 of my money back. Therefore I have raise my review to 2 stars. Johnny wanted me to come into the store to credit my credit card (why he can't do that over the phone I don't know) but I have already wasted enough hours of my life on this issue so I had him credit my Verizon account instead. Here is my final review: -The written return policy is inaccurate on the receipt it does not specify what is NOT included under the return statement--like your entire purchase.... Keep in mind if I didn't call everyone at GoWireless I would of received $5 back from a $130 purchase which was returned within the 14 day return policy. - Staff is untrained. The Manager of the store places a non-refundable screen cover on the phone without educating the customer of its non-returnable status, easily taking advantage of customers just to make a sale. -Go to a real Verizon store because Verizon is going to charge you a $30 setup fee anyways but at least they are transparent with what they are charging. If you go to GoWireless you will still have to pay Verizon's $30 (which GoWireless doesn't tell you about) in addition to GoWireless bleeding you dry. This experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth after 8 years of being with Verizon I'm considering leaving them. No one should have to fight this hard for a honest refund. read more

Don't trust this store with what they tell u. I have been lied 2 over and over again. We keep our end of the contract but they do not. I have had 2 take it 2 Verizon Executive Relations. I came in a few days ago with an iPhone 5S and hoping to find a new phone. I've had an Apple device for a few years and I've gotten tired of all the restrictions so I thought I'd switch to Android. The salesperson I met with was named Adam. He was very helpful in giving me options that fit my price range. He was also very knowledgeable about each device he showed me. I ended up picking the LG G5 and it's been working wonderfully. Overall my experience couldn't have been much better. read more

Never use this store ever! We went in Monday to purchase a Verizon plan, and a new phone for our son. We were given paperwork that showed a plan that we liked, and were supposedly signed up for that plan and bought a phone that would work with it. Then, when the bill showed up from Verizon the next day, the plan we were billed for was not the one we had bought, but a plan that was twice as expensive. And a promised rebate of $150 for changing phone services didn't show up either. Went to the store today to try to get it fixed and found one lonely and very young sales guy there by himself, no manager available. The sales guy said the manager was on vacation camping and was not in cell range and wouldn't be back til tomorrow. The sale guy looked up the plan we were sold and said Verizon had changed up their plans as of the first of the month and the plan no longer existed (as of 20 days before we were sold it). So we were fraudulently sold a non-existent Verizon plan. No apology from the sales guy, no "sorry for your experience," instead he got angry at me for being angry about having been ripped off with no immediate access to a manger to get anything done about it! Buyer beware!!!!!!! Do not use this store. I thought it was a Verizon store so I purchased a screen cover, wireless charger and a (not realizing that was in the order and I did not purchase it)a pop socket. I needed the screen cover since mine cracked and I was going on vacation the next day. Mind you, I do not live in Elgin but was there for a graduation. The store has a Large Red VERIZON store sign on the front and I am a Verizon customer, so I figured that I could buy the cover there. I did not look at the receipt when I purchased since I was in such a hurry to get back to Chicago to leave for vacation. When I returned from a long vacation I looked in the bag to use the charger, lo and behold there is a pop socket and I was charged $9.99. Well, the wireless charger does not work. I went to a Verizon Store close to my home in Chicago and was told that they could not return since this store is NOT a corporate Verizon Store. I called the phone number on my receipt and my call was answered by the Call Center for this store. I spoke to Tyler and gave him all of the information. I explained the situation to him and said I only want the $9.99 pop socket credited and the charger replaced. He said that he was going to e-mail the manager at THIS store and the Manager would call me back and take care of it. Well, after time went by a week, no call from this store. I gave it to my Son to change for a new one and get the pop socket credited. They said that since it was past the 14 days they could not do anything. My Son was explaining the situation to a young man and the manager was listening and did not even come over to help until the end and he said, "there is nothing that we can do since it is past the 14 days". So needless to say I would give this NON VERIZON corporate store 0 stars but that is not an option. read more

In the 5+ years I've been a customer of Verizon I have never been treated with such disregard, until I went to this specific location. My mom purchased a Bluetooth ear piece and with it being a birthday present for me it wasn't opened until several days later. The ear piece didn't include a USB charge like it clear labeled on the box. I called and spoke to a manager who stated there's no way a manufacture would make such a mistake and the product could not and would not be exchanged or retuned. After speaking to corporate Verizon the representative made it clear they were obligated to take it back due to me not only being within the 14 day period but also having all the packaging and receipt. After going into the store and specially letting the store associate Jamin know I merely wanted to exchange what I had for the same thing she proceed to unnecessarily question me as to why I'm bringing the faulty product back now and not when it was first purchased it. For this being an independently owned store this was grade A bad business. I highly recommend that not one person spend their money at this location. read more
