Good service here, employees are always friendly. My husband went in here to buy a power cord for an iPhone 7. It was a non branded power cord. As expected they had the cords in stock. They are reasonably priced too. My husband likes this shop since it's down the street from where he works in FDale. The cord lasted a long time and took a beating in and out of the cord. Crooks totally took advantage of me! It had been years since I had cell service from a big name provider and purchased a brand new phone. I shouldn't have admitted to being naive because Aaron D (who was wearing a store manager badge) lied to me , took advantage of me and ripped me off. Where do I begin... 1. He told me allll these accessories came with the new iPhone as a selling point but proceeded to charge me $210. And put the $65 screen protector and $45 case on my phone so I can't even return it. Not even apple accessories, just overpriced aftermarkets . 2. He told me I couldn't trade in my phone and that I could sell it online . When another associate asked me if I was trading it in they looked at each other as if to say "shh, don't ask". And changed the subject. Come to find out after talking to someone else there the next day I can and it takes $10/month off my bill. 3. He told me I couldn't buy my phone outright and that I had to finance it. He made me finance 10% of it. He said that's just the way they all are. Prob because he gets kick-backs for finances. I didn't know any different because I'd been buying used phones. 4. He made me charge my debit card before I left to get dinner while I was waiting 8 HOURS (no exaggeration and still had to return the next day to finish the transfer) even though he had both my old and new phone in his possession . Even though I had left and come back throughout the day because he said he wanted to leave. He got assertive with me when I told him I didn't want to pay until I had a working phone and he wouldn't let me leave. And I don't think it was by accident that he didn't give me a hard copy of the receipt right then and there either. 5. He went home in the middle of our transaction leaving it unfinished for his associates who were not briefed on what was going on and put them on the spot. They did the best they could but they were so overwhelmed and the one guy was in plain clothes I don't even think he was scheduled to work. Everyone else I dealt with there seemed to be decent. The whole experience was so frustrating I was waiting for a game show host to pop out and tell me I was on Boiling Point. The long day and lack of communication I was willing to overlook because I realize the service industry is struggling right now. But once I got home and realized I had been lied to and ripped off by the manager and then confirmed by another employee, I was pissed. I'm still trying to sort it out. From now on I will only go to corporate Verizon stores so I at least know there will be some accountability. read more

I walked in with multiple Verizon iPhone issues that needed immediate service. Unfortunately for me I had to wait. No worries. Patience is a virtue. There were only two employees working at this location. Again be patient. These two employees worked their butts off. Dee and Anthony/Tony.....They were very helpful to ALL the customers who walked through the doors. Tony helped me and was top notch. Very personable and relatable with great customer service. Treated me like his own family member. Thank you Anthony/Tony! Highly recommend this store for help. You might have to wait. But that is because of the world we live in now. I needed a new phone and I was switching from iPhone to a google pixel 5. I explained that I needed help getting started. First the guy disappeared for 10 minutes. When he came back he was pleasant but the other staff person kept interrupting to see what he was doing. Meanwhile the store had plenty of customers waiting. The store used to be good a few years ago when it was run by the young Arab gentleman. Now it is a hot mess. The staff does lie, they scam you into purchasing a new phone for more than what they state, they don't have you look over the agreement before you sign anything and when you go to leave the store they fold up your receipt so you can't see anything and stuff it in your bag. When you go in to confront them about it they call you a liar right to your face. You know they already have your money and they're not gonna help you in anyway. Worst customer service ever! It feels as if my best friend or brother is helping me rather than some guy with a red shirt, each time i feel as though they have my best interest in mind and not always Verizon's. Nice sales people, but I was sold and charged for two items that I was never asked if I wanted them. Only found out about it as I was looking over my receipt. Shady to say the least. I returned the items for a refund, as I explained to the office manager what happened, he did not appear to be concerned, just said " Oh, I'll speak with the associate about this". I have usually had good experience at this location. My wife on the other hand had not, in at least three different occasions. I went in to get an upgrade for my sons iPhone since it for destroyed when he jumped in the pool. The plan was to transfer an eligible upgrade to his lungs since we had one available. I saw the SE was only .99 worth a two year contract for an upgrade. So we went with that. I was told there was a back order on them since they were so I'm demand. It would be a two to three week wait. We were fine with that since we were going on vacation. While on vacation we got confirmation the phone had arrived. Two weeks ahead of schedule. The day we got back from vacation we went to go pick it up. The guy was pleasant enough and had everything in order. He rang the total up and it was $60 mode than anticipated. I questioned why and he said that was the price for the phone. I said the offer for the upgrade was .99. He responded that they don't do contract upgrades anymore. This was a total shock and I said the website definitely showed that. He argued saying they're is no way. He called his manager and confirmed there is no upgrade for the 64 GB. I then asked where the 64gb came into play because I area only looking for the 16gb. He then said that was what me and my son ordered. I definitely did not order that and questioned him on it. He said he clearly heard me say I wanted the 64gb. So he basically called me liar. I confronted him on this and he said he heard what he heard. I took offense to this and he said it is what it is. One, I told him when I ordered that I wanted the .99 iPhone SE. Two, he said they don't do contract upgrades when they clearly do. I did not like the lack of professionalism at all, especially calling me liar. And for him to not know that can do contract upgrades. I left without the purchase and ordered online and will receive it in two days. No hassle. I will never go to that store again. read more

Great focus on customer service at this Verizon location. I've been here a few times and I've always felt the staff was helpful and actually listened. Ordered a new phone recently and it was shipped to this store, and the guys called me right away to let me know it had arrived. I inquired about changing our data plan and the guy could not have been nicer about breaking everything down for me until we figured out what was the best plan for my usage. Lots of phones and accessories, free parking behind the building. If they are helping other customers you might be waiting a while, but it's worth it when your turn comes and they are focused on actually helping. There is a tv tuned to ESPN to keep you occupied while you wait. Glad to have Verizon as a part of our Ferndale shopping-scape. read more

Can't say enough good things about the crew at this store. Whether it's to purchase new phones or simply to ask help with settings I have not been able to figure out, I find the service is always excellent. I never feel rushed even when I just need the smallest advice on something. We have told several people about the service here and they all report back how happy they are. The owner even remembers half of our information without having to look it up. I'm afraid that's rare in the service industry these days. read more

I walked in on a Monday night at 7:40 after my phone had unexpectedly blacked out. I had a standard upgrade already available, so why not just get a new phone?Little did I know I was about to be given the worst sales pitch in all of history and on top of that blatant lies about my family would save money from this plan. Total scam. They tried to make it sound great. Basically what the plan entails is sharing a block of data within your family of four instead of getting separate data plans. Plus you no longer have to pay the $300 upfront when you upgrade. Instead you pay in incremental amounts of $35 a month for 24 months. This was for the IPhone 6S 64G. First of all, if you go this route you end up spending around $200 more than face value of the phone. AND THEY DON'T SAY THAT THEY HOPE YOU DON'T DO THE MATH IN YOUR HEAD WHILE THEY SHOW IT TO YOU. Also he only showed me the total cost as it would be today-- as in because my family's last upgrades were on the old plan they wouldn't have incremental phone costs per month. So the number he showed was roughly $30-$40 cheaper overall, but once all four family members upgrade on this new plan you're going to end up paying about $60 more in the long run if not more depending on the phones they choose. And when I said "I just want to pay for my phone tonight and keep the plan, I don't care if it's $300 I'm fine making that purchase" he was like "oh but are you?" Very condescendingly. Excuse me? You don't know me. You don't see my bank account. Very off putting and low. The only reason I didn't walk out of there without a phone is that I was desperate for something that works. I wouldn't have given them my business otherwise and never intend to do it again. Plus by the time I walked out of there it was already 8:30. There for 50 minutes for something that should have taken 10. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

This is the worst Verizon store I've ever visited. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Kemani. I told her my situation about how I couldn't get my Verizon Iphone 7 activated. With ANY SIM card. It's public knowledge that all Verizon iPhones come factory unlocked. So the fact I can't activate my phone with any SIM card made me very worried. I went to the store hoping for more help beyond what I could have done myself but I had no luck. She told me iPhones by Verizon aren't unlocked and she didn't even try to put in a SIM card. this is not an authorized verizon dealer. this store is independently owned and operated. they duped my bf into a new phone, they claim they had no replacement for the one he already had. after a couple calls, he found out that indeed that particular phone was still available. when he went back the next day to return the new phone, they would not take it back. after literally days on the phone with verizon hq, he was told they could not help, that he purchased the phone via a third party. verizon refuses to help. gave us a p.o. box in ct to contact the district manager. what a bunch of b.s.. we will look into sprint buying out our contract. read more

Ordered a new iPhone a good 10 days before Christmas. They kept saying it was on the way, and eventually said Verizon had "cancelled" the order for no reason. So Vernzon and this shop screwed up my kid's Christmas present. They wouldn't honor the discounted phone deal that I had signed up for, but offered to re-order at a much higher price. Classic bait and switch, with a good measure of incompetence and dishonesty thrown in for good measure. read more

I've never been treated with so much courtesy and respect. Brent and his staff were all so polite and helpful. I went in there because of a problem I had with my Droid. I drive down woodward every day for work, and with a store as beautiful as Brent's it's super easy to find. Brent was able to immediately help me by temporarily giving me a loaner phone FREE of charge. So kind of him. My replacement phone came in only ten days later. Everything was so smooth. Great location and love the doors to ample parking in back. However that all I like about it. The wait is always long and the staff not that great. Last visit a few months ago, a long line and only one employee in the store. She apologized that the other person hasn't come in yet. It was noon. It took her a really long time to do transactions. An hour waiting and she turned on some music pretty loud. Even if I had liked it, it would have annoyed me. A guy in line stomped out pissed off. A woman comes in with a 3 yr old who proceeded to touch the merchandise and put it in her mouth as the mother just let her run rampant. The kid grabbed armloads of merchandise off the walls. Other people and children tried to manage the kid. A woman with her two wonderful young children tries to have a talk with her and she just shrugged, "3 yr olds are exhausting" and went back to playing on her phone. The other employee finally comes in. He looked like he was still asleep and was slow getting his bearings. Without even trying to get my phone working, he gave me a larger than normal price to replace my phone and was impatient with me when I asked for the breakdown of why so much. I spoke to him maybe 10 mins. The free range child ran past the counter to the back. The employee told the kid to get back into the store area and said nothing to the parent. I left and went to Livonia 7 mile location where I was taken care of immediately with good service. I could have saved myself a couple few hours if I had just done that in the first place, which I will do for now on. read more

I came in because I needed a new phone and he went above and beyond to explain to me all of my options for getting a new one.
