I got a new phone, and he helped me with the very annoying task of transferring my line and making sure it was good to go and up and running within a short amount of time. He also helped me save some money on my home internet Frontier bill and by switching me over to post paid (I was prepaid these last few years). I'm so mad about how our "upgrade" experience went today. They added unneeded charges to our monthly bill, didn't let us know about better offers, and worst of all charged us $29.99 to make us wait until the store to activate the new phone when we specifically asked several times if we could leave. Just so you know, the answer is yes. You can leave and make them waive their $29.99 "Setup & Go Service" charge. The fact that I would have been better off calling Verizon has me livid. I've had to spend the rest of the day fixing my bill, especially the monthly charges they added without alerting me to them. An entire day wasted having to deal with Verizon in store, on the phone, and by chat. read more

I cannot understand the poor reviews. I have been to the store three times and I've had the best customer service that I've had anywhere. This time I was waited on by Shaun who was excellent despite how busy the store was. He gave us all the time we needed and set up our phone so that it was working perfectly. He even showed me some of the accessories and went out back to see if they were in stock and what the prices were knowing that I wasn't planning to buy any today. I would highly recommend this Verizon store to anybody to get the very best in service from Verizon. As you can tell I am a fan. Kudos to Shaun for such excellent service and much appreciation to have my son's phone working after trying to deal with a different Verizon representative. read more

This was by far the best experience I have ever had at any Verizon Store! I went in yesterday, at 5:20ish on a Friday night and there wasn't a customer in the store. They asked how I could be helped and I swear in under 5 minutes I was done and walking out the door! I bought an Apple Watch about a month before that was on the fritz, and since the holiday return/exchange policy goes through Jan 15, they took back my old one and ordered a new one that will be delivered within 2 business days. Now, the day before I went to Best Buy, Verizon in Newington, and the Apple store! All three told me they could send it out to be repaired, and that it would take 5-10 business days! So, I'm thrilled with the experience I had at this Glastonbury Verizon where I'll only be without my watch a few days and the one I get will be brand new, not mine back but fixed or a refurbished one. He even let me keep the charger so that I'll have an extra when I get my new watch, because if you're familiar with these watches, they don't just use the same one you use for an Apple phone. This will likely be my new store when I need something from Verizon! If I didn't check for locations of real Verizon stores on their site, I never would've even known this store is here. It's tucked away in what appears to be a medical building, and the Verizon Store front is behind the building, facing the parking lot. I understand it must get busy at times, but it felt like a hidden gem when I was in their. My local Verizon is on a very busy road near a Walmart so it's ALWAYS busy. Switched to Verizon not even a month ago. Got the first bill which was $301. Didja get that? $301! After calling over and over I was able to get them to waive the $137 they charged me the guy completely lied to me about waiving. If I hadn't checked the itemized bill and would have just trusted them I would have been ripped off for $137 AND a two year contract to pay for a 32GB phone which I didn't even need but took because it was a promotional I wouldn't have to pay for. Low and behold it *free phone I don't have to pay for* means they will refund the monthly $15 as long as I paid for it for two years. The ENTIRE reason I bought my present phone outright at the apple store was to avoid a contract! Deceptive bait and switch. Beware if you go into business with these guys. read more

Zero stars. I don't understand why every time I come here, I have an awful time. I also don't understand why it's impossible to reach one of your employees over the phone. I don't want to speak to a mf call center person who for some reason can't look up my stuff and puts me on hold. Last thing I don't understand is why, when I GO INTO THE STORE, the EMPLOYEE has to call up the same automated bs line the customer goes through, then puts me on the phone with a stranger. I went earlier today to try and re-up my discount through my work. The first gentleman was willing to help me, younger guy, didn't see his name tag. However, upon hearing the situation, some older gentleman piped in saying they couldn't do that, that I had to go online. I received the notice in the mail yesterday (sept 4, for a discontinuing on the 6th). He was very condescending when he told me that it was sent the 25th of August, but that the form was apparently very easy and that I could go online. I was getting frustrated, not understanding why the discount was going to get taken off my account to be put back on a month later(after being processed). I was in the store, he was unwilling to help me at all. The younger gentleman wanted to help, but kept being shut up by the older gentleman. I finally gave up trying to get any help from this location. I usually go here to pay my bill, but any time I go in lately no one even acknowledges me. I won't be going to this location any more. VERY POOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wish I asked for the older gentleman's name, he should be retrained in customer service!!! read more

It's always a privilege waiting almost an hour waiting to spend way too much money on a piece of equipment that will soon be obsolete in the next 6 months. The few employees at this location are either in the backroom hiding from customers or going as slowly as they possibly can with each costumer. I was quoted 9 minutes since I put my name on a list , a list I had to go searching for. I wasn't greeted by anyone so I would say if you come to this location of rip off, prepare to be on a scavenger hunt to be helped. read more

We have been Verizon customers for years and always go to this store since it is convenient. I have never felt a desire to write a review since service has been ok - not bad and not great. However, my visit yesterday with my son to upgrade his phone was a very positive one. A-Jazz spent a lot of time with us as my son was switching from an Android phone to an I-phone. In addition, I had several questions about our data plan and usage, contact dates (we have 5 phones on the plan), etc. He was very patient with us and took the time to check our account since I had called Verizon about a week earlier to deal with some issues. He found all of the notes from that call and was able to explain them and make sure everything was correct going forward on our account. We ended up saving money on our monthly bill thanks to the fact we have been loyal customers for over 15 years. I appreciated that A-Jazz took the time to help with the billing questions and was not just focused on selling us the upgrade. read more

I don't really get this store. I walked in and there were a bunch of employees standing around talking about their favorite restaurant. Each one of them started staring at the ground hoping I wouldn't go up to them for help. One of them told me I had to sign in and will be called when its my turn. I was the only customer in the store. I chuckled and played along, but it all went downhill from there. All in all, I'm amazed that the workers have such horrible attitudes toward their customers. I'll never set foot in this store again. In fact, I decided to not upgrade my phone at all and will be looking at switching carriers altogether now. read more

Was there yesterday to purchase phones the sales person kept telling me that cellphone service would be a certain price over and over always the same price.Told her my concerns about making sure that's what it would be when I walked out of store. Well I asked her for documentation on the plan no the printer was not working correctly so she could not do that. Then asked her again then I was told she couldn't do it. then I asked her well can you pull it up on the tablet she starts to do it and then when the plan show up on her tablet she quickly tries to pass it. I say that's it over there then she says oh yeah we need to complete this still. Well after that i felt very uncomfortable with well what else is there going to be for an issue. So I decided to cancel my purchase all within the same hour I didn't even the one phone they had for me( they would not be able to get the rest until the next morning) They charged me a restocking fee for something I didn't even have in my hands yet. What great business practices. I would have been okay with the restocking fee if I had open the box and started the phones but I didn't even get them. So be for warned. read more

I want to start off that I (and my entire family) have been a Verizon customer for many years. Last week, I went to the Glastonbury location to upgrade my phone and was extremely disappointed with my experience there. I worked with the service representative, Taylor. He rushed us and made me feel as if all he was there to do was up-sell and that the customer was not at all important. It felt like an interaction with a slimy salesman. In addition, after I purchased my new iPhone 7 (which, by the way is not a small purchase, so I would expect a little time to be spent and a little respect to be had) I had to ASK TWICE for him to help me set it up. I am young and pretty decent with technology, but wanted to just make sure the phone was set up and working before I left. He made me feel like I was asking for something crazy. Him "setting up the phone" after I asked was him just turning on the phone and handing it to me. My last iPhone purchase, was at the Apple store and they completely helped me through the entire process (including working with me to set it up with verizon and get my settings correct) without prompting... here it felt like I wasn't worth his precious time.... I hope he doesn't get commission for this interaction. Honestly, after this experience, I am considering switching to a new service like AT&T... One of the worst customer experiences I have ever experienced. I work for a corporate company and have an agent account with Verizon (our company does business with Verizon internally). Went to get a SIM card from this location as directed by Verizon customer service and was told that I could not have one as my account is not viewable by them. After calling customer service again while in store, they continued to deny me service. Customer service over the phone then explained to me that it managers discretion and that they can get me a SIM card. The manger replied by saying they are lying.... This is very childish and all I'm trying to do is use their service. Customer service stated that I'd have to go store to store until you find a nice manager. That's ridiculous! I would not use this location again. Store was clean and ample employees, but if they aren't making commission on you, don't bother going as they will barely assist you. read more
