Was told that this location had the phone I wanted in stock so I purchased the phone online and was told it should take 1-2 hours and I could pick the phone up. It's now two days later and I've had to call Verizon reps multiple times to motivate the store to actually fulfill the order. I switched from my carrier to Verizon who am I used to be with years ago. That was the biggest mistake I made in the last seven years regarding cell phone companies. They are too cheap to offer a full-time staff and have something called "Verizon assistant "it is unfortunate that they're pathetic attempt is not user-friendly. you cannot call the store and ask him a question directly under any means. If you need to have anything done to your phone or your service, it will take you hours and hours and hours of wasted time to get anything done. If you want to pay a premium price and have zero customer support locally then this is your company. I have had so much trouble out of Verizon. I was chatting with someone about changing my 4 digit password and they ended up deleting my whole account. I ended on the phone with them for 2 hours trying to get my account togething. Then the next day I had to call back and was on the phone with someone over an hour because I could not sign in my account and wasn't getting any verizon text. This has been a hassle. Literally just made a $900 purchase and was told the phone would be activated as soon as we turn on and sign in. NOT TRUE NO SERVICE! On hold with customer service for almost an hour. Don't go to the store!!!!! ***Update, This was the issue....the phone number didn't get ported over correctly. I had all necessary account info to port my daughter's phone number over while in the store. Thy say due to covid the phones can't be opened and activated in store. I have spent hours upon hours trying to reach Verizon to resolve a billing issue. They say it is corrected and then I get another bill with the uncorrected information. Spent 29 minutes on hold waiting for customer service department then disconnected Friday. Today, I spent 37 minutes on hold and then was disconnected. What an awful company Verizon has become! Despite all the complaints we hear about fees, services, customer service and more, my experience today was STELLAR! My phone charger would NOT go into its port. My battery was DYING. I was in a panic. I entered to shop and within about 4 minutes I was greeted by my assigned rep, Eric. He spent about 15 minutes examining the port and discovered something lodged in it. He attempted to get it out with a sim card key, then compressed air. Still there. He got a push pin. We both poked and probed; I tapped the phone on the mousepad. Still there. Then we did it all again. Little bits of "stuff" began to appear and THEN the prime culprit--a piece of sand. I had been gardening and had my phone in my "gardening attire" pocket. Immediately the charger went in and my phone began charging. With that problem solved I showed him another charger cord that was frayed and told him I would replace it if it didn't cost a college tuition. The sweet man walked across the store, found a better cord at a reasonable price and got a car charger as well and brought it to me. I told him he had saved me $1k because I didn't have to buy a new iphone. During the entire time he was helping me, Eric was polite, diligent, professional and courteous. At no time did he ever attempt to high pressure me into buying a new phone. I really appreciated his duty to the customer, not to the company's bottom line. I stopped and told the manager about how accommodating Eric had been. He overheard my remarks and told me that I had made it simple for him to be so nice. That made my day! NIGHTMARE. LEFT WITH NO CELLULAR SERVICE due to the messing up AVOID THE CONGEREE location I would give zero stars if possible I went in for a simple for upgrade after moving of my moms plan. I sat in the store three hours... within that time my phone was shut off by fraud. I sent in all the documents to prove it was me and the fraud dept still cut off my phone, I have been a customer with Verizon ever since I have had a phone. The store manager "couldn't do anything about it." I had to leave the store with a phone that no longer had cellular service and could only be used on wifi. The manager promised to "work on it first thing in the morning" and that he would be in contact. 24 hours later nothing had been done about it, nor did I hear from him once. I had to take matters into my own hands and get it fixed. BY FAR the worst experience ever, they didn't care they I walked out in a worse situation than when I came in. I was met at the door with a smile and promptly signed in. Within ten minutes, I met with Munshay and he led me through an awesome happy feeling process. Years ago, I switched from Verizon to A. T. & T. to join the iPhone generation. I loved the iPhone--however, was never keen on the service. Recently, the service has slipped even more. They went from 2nd in coverage on Consumer Reports to 5th. Traveling a couple weeks a month has made me more than ever feel the A. T. & T. network woes. So...I switched to Verizon and bought an iPhone X. Wow, the iPhone is great and Verizon paid off phones and gave me a $300 credit. Not to mention $50.00 off a $200 purchase of accessories. I'm vehemently opposed to brick and mortar Verizon Wireless locations. I've never had a great experience at any Verizon Wireless location. This location was no different. My spouse broke her phone and needed a new one. Fortunately, we pay insurance on her phone and wanted to know the process to get a new one. We spoke to an employee and were directed to the online process. Why have an actual brick an mortar store if you pass us off to the internet??? Employees were friendly thats the second star. But other than that; went in, checked in let her know my phone was busted and I had the insurance on it, she told me there would be a wait. "Ok thats fine" waited a little over 30 minutes to then be given a pamphlet and a number to call and a different place to go to get the phone fixed. Was told "you might still have time to do it today." I understand now they don't fix phones in store and there were people waiting in front of me. But i definitely feel like this could of been streamlined so i would still have time to get my phone fixed in the same day. I work third shift so I'm not always up and about in the AM. read more

The negative reviews couldn't be more accurate . I don't have time to recollect every single negative thing that happened in the two and a half hours we were there on Sunday to upgrade our phones, but I will say that Mellissa needs to be trained. She couldn't answer basic questions and blatantly and unapologetically said several times I don't know, you'll have to ask someone that, look that up, do that at home etc. She was texting on her phone while serving us, and was not interested in our specific wants and needs. She obviously had a script and was not straying from it even though we were very specific about what we wanted in a phone. On top of that, she was incredibly sarcastic and rude. I didn't appreciate being talked about to my husband while I was sitting right there, and I didn't appreciate being made to feel like the long process was somehow our fault . It was easier to buy a house. Again , at the very least, training would help, but you can't teach someone not to have a horrible personality . Never again . read more

I went on a Friday afternoon around 2:00 and I was immediately greeted and served by a VERY helpful technician. I had gone to another Verizon store where I'd waited 45 minutes and only moved up from 8 to 6 on the service list, so I left and came to this store instead. Frankly, the big issue I have had in the past with Verizon stores is the long wait-time when you come in. All I can say about this store is that they have LOTS of staff and I didn't see anyone have to wait very long. Awesome. read more

I have been given the run around all over Verizon and there seems to be so much confusion among Verizon CS reps it's not even funny. To start, I got an email that said I could 'edge up' early on our two smartphones (LG G2's at the time) but the promotion only allowed me to edge up to the Droid Turbo or Droid Maxx. I got on Verizon's online chat 3 times and all three times I was told by Verizon's CS reps that the 14 day exchange program for any other phone would still be in effect and that, after I got the Turbos, I could still exchange them for any of Verizon's other phones within that 14 day window. Then when I called in over the phone after I got the Turbo's in, to activate one of them, she told me that I could not exchange the phone because it was only a promo for the turbo or maxx. i called in a second time and was told the same thing by a different rep. i was also told that i could go turn in my old LG G2's to a local Verizon store instead of mailing them back in. Well because i knew how verizon is, I got back on the online chat and had a 4th CS rep add comments to my account that stated I COULD exchange the turbos for any other phone. I then also called in and was able to make contact w/ a VZW CS rep over the phone that also stated I could after he reviewed the promotion and found nothing in there that said I could not. He added notes to my account as well. So now we get to this store I am reviewing. I went in on 3/19/15 and got what appeared to be a newer female employee (did not get name but she had very short blond hair). She was having issues w/ exchanging my Turbo for the Nexus 6, so she got a manager who I overheard state that I could not do that because the promo was only for the turbo or maxx. I then stepped in and told them to check the notes on my account and that I could indeed do so. they did and, 2 hrs later (yes that's how long it took) I got the nexus 6. i was told in person by this young lady that I HAD to return my LG G2 to THIS verizon store locally and could not mail it in (I did not have it with me at the time). So I finally made it back across town on 3/23 and over to the same Verizon store with both mine and my wife's LG G2's. based upon everything I had been told I assumed i could just go in and drop them off, but that was not the case. Roberto, who appeared to be a manager of sorts, and another male employee (did not catch name), told me that I absolutely could NOT drop them off at the store and HAD to mail them in. And the male rep, not Roberto but the other one, was very rude. I won't be dealing w/ this store again if i can help it and I recommend you stay away! Obviously I was extremely frustrated that this point. I left and later called back in to Verizon's customer service and asked the CS rep on the phone if I could drop my old LG G2's off at a local Verizon store. She stated "yes you can." I wish there was a CFPB for a consumer being verbally abused. We have been a customer of Verizon's for over 15 years. We went to purchase a new phone from the Greer SC store in Jan. of 2017. We were verbally assaulted by an employee who didn't like the fact that we own a repossession company. He refused to help us.He began to heckle us and ask what we were gonna do about it. We asked for a manager and he began challenging my husband to fight him, tapping his chest telling my husband "come on big boy, get some." The manager came forward and asked him to leave the area six times. He refused and told her "ain't nobody gonna tell me what I can say and what to do." At one point he slammed his cell phone down on a display so hard that it knocked two demo phone off on the floor. There was about 20 customers in the store and two families walked out. The manager finally got him in the back room and she got us another sales rep who was wonderful to work with. Both myself and the manager were very emotional at that point. I asked fro a district managers ph # and she wrote it on her card. I contacted the district manager the next morning and he promised to review the tape and get back to me. I never heard back from him an he wouldn't answer my calls. Two months later, I called and got him on the phone, he informed me that he had reviewed the tape and also spoke with the sales rep. and everything matched what I had described to him. He said the sales rep was having a bad day and he could assure me it wouldn't happen again. He offered me a $30.00 credit on my 300.00+/month business account. I pursued this in the NJ office which took me over a month to get someone to respond. I ended up with the legal dept in Alpharettta, Ga office who very rudely told me that "the employee did not lay hands on me or my husband so she didn't see why I had a problem." She then offered me $500.00 which I also refused. I finally ended up with a Sr Analyst in the Executive Relations dept. in Massachusetts . This lady offered me 1500.00 and also didn't understand what was so bad about how we were treated because he didn't actually physically assault us. I had been told by a friend who is an attorney that I could pay him $5000.00 and he would pursue it in court because assault can be verbal as well as physical according to the legal definition. Not being able to afford to hire him, I contact the executive offices and spoke to an admin of a CEO there. She agreed to contact the Executive Relations office and see if she could get a manager to contact me and see if this was truly their final offer. No one called for 1 week. I called her back and she said they told her they would call and she assured me she would call again and have them call me. A peer of the person I had spoken to originally called to tell me the offer was final, he was not a supervisor or a manager. I called back to the CEO's office to ask why a manager did not call back and suddenly the # I was calling could not be reached from my cell phone. THEY BLOCKED ME FROM CALLING BACK TO THE EXECUTIVE OFFICES!!! I tried 4 times to be sure. I called from my office phone and got her on the phone and asked if she knew they had blocked me from calling and she said no but that is entirely possible. I again asked for a manager to call me and she said she would call back and request that. I couldn't get her back on the phone so today I called a different person in the executive offices, the Executive Vice President and Group President of Verizon Wireless and spoke to his oh so rude admin. For the fourth time I was told "well he didn't actually touch you or your husband." I asked if she could contact the executive customer relations office since the admin for the CEO was not in today. She said she would but she doesn't know why I wont just take 1500.00 and run. She never apologized for how a Verizon employee treated us as long time customers. She did not sympathize with it being a very scary time for me or commend my husband for not playing into this jerks hands and getting into a fight....nothing except make me defensive because I wasn't actually hit. She agreed to call and see if she could get a manager to call me. The same lady I had been dealing with for months called me back and told me that they will be sending me an email giving me "notice" NOT to contact their executive offices again. She informed me that I could not work with or speak to anyone other than her. She has the final say and $1500.00 is their final offer. My personal opinion on this is that customer service does not matter at all to Verizon. They defend an employee who had a bad day over a 15+ year customer who puts over $300.00 per month in their pocket and buys all phones from them. Clearly they do not believe that verbal assault matters or that a customer being bullied by their employee matters. The goal is sales not customer service. Therefore I was sold an inadequate tablet on sale that had supposedly no contract commitment. Then when we went to cancel there was a contract, surprise, not written & signed, just added to the account. To ease the pain of monthly payments on a worthless product the sales associate offered to cut the fee in half ..6 months later I discover that was accomplished by extending the invisible contract for twice as long as what was left on the original, again without notification.
