I purchased a phone case & screen protector & was told they had a lifetime warranty. The salesperson didn't print out a receipt for me & threw out the packaging. I assumed to rid of waste, but they actually took away my warranty, as these items needs registered. As you know buying in store accessories isn't cheap & I never would have purchased expensive accessories without the warranty guarantee. The people who work here are predators. I signed up with Verizon because I was supposed to get with each phone, a free iPad or a free watch. I had three phones and we got three iPads and an I watch there was no contract to sign. Just they had a place to sign your name with no words, my first bill came and my bill was over $900. I went into Verizon to find out why the bill was so high and they told me there's a $35 charge to start up each iPad each phone and the I watch and there was a $10 charge every month for Wifi on each of these items, I said well I'm gonna return the items cause I don't want the $10 charge. They told me they would not accept the items back because I had opened the box. I have never used the iPads. I get a crazy bill every month. I just spoke to someone on the phone today. Her initials were RM. I told her so far I have paid about $900 with those $10 fees for a year and a half. I asked when those $10 charges would be removed and she told me in 2026 that would mean by the time 2026 was over I would've paid four times the amount that Apple charges for an iPad and a watch. I have never been treated so poorly and been taken advantage of. I am sure every single person on the Verizon app is being overcharged when I spoke to this woman with the initials RM I was told that she was going to reverse all the charges and take them off, I was to receive an email very shortly which I never received. How can this company take advantage of us I want to get out of Verizon. I want my money back I want these charges stopped in this day and who can't afford to pay these bills. The guy said we qualify for a discount but we have to apply it ourselves but did not disclose that if you get the unlimited plan it does not apply. That makes a significant difference in a bill that you already know it's going to be overpriced.He didn't assist us with much, we had to do it ourselves online. The salesperson, who said her name was Sofia, helped my wife and I solve one minor problem but was condescending and rude when asked other questions. "Go to You Tube" to find the answers was her advice. We were the only Customers in the store, it was not like there were others waiting to see her. Went in to do a device change from an iPad to an iPhone and they told me they couldn't do it even though I previously worked for Verizon and know that you can. Anyway, after getting a new line added, I left and called a different cellular sales and they told me that it was definitely possible to do a device change and that they shouldn't have charged me 20$ for a SIM card. read more

This is not a corporate owned Verizon Wireless, and as such, the individuals at these locations are consumed with meeting their own individual sales quotas. They will do anything to get you to make a sale, including predating a contract so you can get an early upgrade, and ask that you 'come back in 2 months time to sign the paper work, or they will charge your debit card the full amount of the device..." Easy way around that, just get a new credit card from your bank, and you can get an early renewal! They will not help if you require technical assistance, and will refer you to Verizon Wireless's '611.' AT CORPORATE STORES, you can do in house tech support, and if you require a replacement under the manufactures warranty, corporate stores can do so. I have personally heard the staff at this location, impersonate a customer's grandson to get AT&T to release a port pin number. The most unprofessional thing I have ever seen! They claim to offer insurance, but fail to tell you it is not Asurion, it is some crappy third part insurance. Yeah, you can get a replacement in store, but ONLY at Cellular Sale stores. If you loose your phone in NYC, and try to get a replacement at a corporate store, they will not do it. They operate a very shady, and borderline unethical practice. Their salesmen will do anything to make a sale! If you don't have money to spend, or want the VZW Corporate promotions, they will not be interested in giving you any assistance. Beware of this location!!! Deceptive and unfair business practices. Should be reported to BBB. So, I went to this location to upgrade 2 of the older phones on my account. Was helped by this "seemingly" nice guy, Ryan Preddie. Asked him about several phones and how much it would be to upgrade. He said that to upgrade to the Samsung 5 would be $199 and to upgrade to iPhone 6 would be the same price. He also looked at my account and was happy to announce that we were eligible for FREE accessories because our account qualified for one. It all sounded pretty good so we upgraded the phones to Samsung 5 and iPhone 6 and paid a little over $200 for each upgrade. Well, turns out that without letting us know Preddie signed us up for the Edge Program where you pay for the phone in 24 month making payment installments. So, we are apparently contracted to make 24 payments for about $25 per month (which comes up to $600 per phone). And the money that we actually paid at the store were for the accessories that Ryan Preddie told us were going to be FREE. So, under false pretenses, we paid $200 at the store for each phone and now signed up to pay $25 for 24 months to pay off the phones. So, between the phones and accessories, we were fraudulently tricked into paying over $800 for each phone. Shame on them!!! I will never go back to this location and suggest you guys don't either. You'll end up paying $600 for the phone and $200 for accessories, just like us and then fighting with them for it. Verizon Corporate was very much apologetic for these people and told me to get to the bottom of this issue and let them know if they don't rectify the situation. I plan on doing that and getting all of our money back. But it would be nice to get an apology for the deceptive way that they do business. read more

A few days later get a call that there is a problem that her phone was not really paid off and the system maybe misread something. Turns out that when her phone was paid off Verizon applied it to my phone. Verizon corporate says sorry the payoff was 8 months ago so nothing we can do the independent store which is not a corporate store and has another store in HALLANDALE says sorry nothing we can do to help even though it was our error. I felt compelled to come on here and comment because I am honestly at a loss for what to do now. My husband and I decided to leave sprint after 15 years of service with them. We went to the closest Verizon store which was this location in Hallandale beach FL. We ordered our phones with Kyle and he was absolutely pleasant and made the experience wonderful. Kyle broke everything down for us on paper and wrote down what the cost of the phones would be once they arrived (as they had to be pre-ordered) and what our contract would look like. Kyle told us we would be paying $150 for the two phones that my husband and I were ordering total. We weren't to pay this till it arrived. We said great and waited. We received tracking from FedEx stating that the phones were arriving finally and we called the store to confirm their delivery. Daphine told us that FedEx is usually wrong and that they would check for it and give us a call back in about 10 minutes. We never received a call back and waited over an hour so we deiced to just to stop in. We figured they were just busy. We stopped in and Daphine had said again that FedEx was usually "off by a day or two" even though i physically called and spoke with FedEx to verify the phones arrival (after being told this on the phone I was skeptical so I went ahead and called FedEx just to verify). The phones were literally on the same desk that Daphinie was sitting at less than an arm's length away. We began the process of processing the phones and we were told we would have to give $150 down for each phone (as my credit is sub-par and as we are on the Verizon edge plan). We stated that we were confused but without any hesitation paid the $150 per phone plus taxes. We were in the store for 2 hours that night and very happy with our phones and excited to be with Verizon now. The next day I received a phone call from Verizon. It was a courtesy call just to see how everything is going with our phones and to basically welcome us. The person on the phone asked me if I had any questions regarding my phone or account and I said no but let me pass you to my husband who has a question about something. I passed him along to the man on the phone who then asked for my husband's account number. This is basically how we figured out that my husband was on a separate account than myself. We immediately called Verizon and spent a little over an hour on the phone with them straightening the accounts out. We both had our own accounts each with 10 gb of data and our own bills. The woman at Verizon on the phone was incredibly accommodating and walked me through the process of what would happen next as far as my phone bills and was incredibly helpful. About 30 minutes later I received a phone call from Daphnie at the store stating that they messed up on something that they would fix it. I was a little confused a) because this was super vague and b) because I thought the situation was taken care of already...by the lady from Verizon, on the phone I just spent an hour speaking with. I just replied to Daphine that everything was fine and thanked her for the phone call. The next day my husband received a phone call from Daphine stating that he would have to come in and pay an additional $100 per phone ($200) because they messed up and put the phones value at the incorrect price. My husband stated he would come in shortly. He then called me and told me what happened so I called Verizon to figure out what was going on. I told him not to go in until I figured out what was going on. This is when I learned that the Verizon Cellular Sales store has NOTHING to do with Verizon and that there wasn't much they could do at Verizon. I called Daphine at the Cellular Sales store to see if she could better explain to me what was going on and she just stated that Kyle, the original associate from the very beginning, put the phones in the system at $749.99 rather than the true value of $849.99. She stated that I was required to put down 20% of the value and that we only put down $149.99. I then asked Daphine why we were required to put down an additional $100 per phone when 20% of $849.99 is $169.99. So even with the 20% at the correct price we would really only owe an additional $20 per phone. Daphine was incredibly rude and condescending and stated that my husband didn't have a problem coming in paying it and then he didn't show up. I explained to her that he didn't come in because I wanted to make sure I knew what exactly he was paying for. We had been incredibly accommodating this entire time with all the mess after only being with Verizon at this point for 48 hours. Daphine then started yelling at me that I would have to come in and pay the money on the phone or it would be sent to creditors and it would mess up my credit more than it already was. But were not given any information about how to set our phones up upon landing. We were surprised to get a $100 extra charge in addition to the $40 we agreed to for limited service. I never thought upgrading a phone plan could be a stressful experience, until after coming to this store. I went to place my mother on my phone plan. The sales representative was fine in the store. It wasn't until a week later when I was supposed to go pick up the phone that I began encountering problems. I couldn't meet her at the time and place she wanted. She stated that she had to be the one to activate the phone. As someone who has had a cell phone my entire life I knew this to be completely untrue. When I asked her about this she stated exactly in a text message "I only get my commission if I activate the phone, I spent a lot of time with you and your mother you need to make it worth my while". I have never heard of a sales person being so unprofessional in my life. When I proceeded to tell her I was no longer interested in working with her she states "I didn't know this would be so difficult" and said she would meet me in her car in a random location to activate the phone. I am horrified. As a person who is a medical professional I am even more horrified I could never imagine telling a patient "I didn't expect this to be so hard". Life is hard work is hard, she needs to pull it together. Upon calling the store to speak with the manager I got the same attitude, disinterested. I can't believe one store could produce such a horrible customer experience. I should never be made to feel so uncomfortable in a process like this before. I love verizon, I have never had an issue with them but this store, perhaps because it isn't a corporate verizon store was horrible. I really wish I could give the store 0 stars. For the past two years I have done business with this particular store and have had absolute fantastic service until today. I purchased the new Sony Xperia z3 21 days ago and this morning it decided to stop working through no fault of my own, the phone works but no screen, just black. So I went back to this store to exchange the phone (I do have insurance & warranty) and since I was beyond the 14 day "return" policy they would not exchange the phone. We are talking 7 days not weeks or months after the purchase and my pone is extremely vital to my job, they would not even give me a loaner. I offered a full cash deposit on a new Sony Xperia and would return the phone once my replacement was mailed to me. The manager refused, I have never heard the word "can't" used in so many viable outcomes to take care of a loyal customer but because this store is not a "corporate" Verizon store it's just an authorized dealer it will not offer the same customer satisfaction as a "corporate" store would. The Verizon phone representative even attempted to do a swap at one of the corporate stores in south Florida and unfortunately the stores were out of the phone I have. Amazing to me that I sit in a store with a huge Verizon sign outside with my phone in stock and Mark Urbina says NO. For customers of Verizon we do not care if it's an authorized dealer or corporate office if there is a Verizon sign outside the store then we should receive the same customer service regardless. Worst experience ever. All she cared about was making a sale and not helping me. She was giving me false information about the plan I had and what I would be paying. I clearly stated I did NOT want the 6s plus and only the 16gb regular 6s. She was trying to make me look stupid saying the plus was what I was asking for and brought it over anyways for me when I said I would get the 6s (regular) then told me she didn't have any in stock. Extremely disappointed in the service and way I was taken care of. I broke my phone and was leaving to go back home to NY then next day. She should not have a job there anymore. read more
