As a Yelper it is my duty to give accurate and true reviews and to do so, with the utmost honesty and integrity, therefore, this updated review of Verizon in Howell is 5-Stars. AND I will tell you why... Recently, I noticed all the new "deals" on cellphones going around and I really have been with Verizon a really, really long time and despite the 2 previous irritating debacles, I stuck with Verizon. Well, this past week I decided to change companies, update phones and get a new plan, you know, clean house, clean slate, call it a day and walk away, since I was now on a month to month, I found no reason to stay. Our family phones were outdated, my phone was begging for mercy and Mini-Me with her 7k photos and 5k videos, YES this girl could have her own YouTube channel with the amount of stuff she has on her phone, but I digress... Anyway, I sent her off to Verizon to see what I was up against, because, I figured it was the less painful route, but she called me up, shortly after she arrived and said, I needed to head over after work, begrudgingly I did so, like a root canal this was gonna be hell. I walked in and she was smiling (oh no) and she introduced me to Ricardo, who was the Verizon Dude that was going to tell me.. frankly I have no idea what he was gonna tell me, but he was smiling and said he could help with my cell plan pains and out dated phone...Mini-Me told him my Juke story!! But at the end of our conversation and it was in writing, I made an appointment for Saturday (today 5/11/19) Fast forward to today, Mini-Me, Hubby and I walked into the store for our appointment, I know, I know but it was so painless. We went with 3 new phones an iPhone XS Max, Samsung Galaxy s10+, Samsung Galaxy 10s and turned in our old ones (credit). We got the unlimited plan, wireless chargers, screen protectors, cases and with Military discount you need the (DD214) and family insurance on the phones, our bill actually came out to less than what I was currently paying. Now I will tell you that- the twit that helped last time, turned OFF my CLOUD/Backup, so I lost all photos etc of my dad that I had taken before he died, so they are forever lost and finding this out almost broke me, pain in my heart... I need a moment because actually writing that they are gone, hits home, but what can you do? and believe me, Ricardo tried everything to see if he could located this photos on my phone, in an APP, recover, anything and everything but they are gone, sigh. But, he fixed my new phone, so that this would never happen again, thank you. Ricardo was attentive, knowledgeable and patient, he answered all our questions about our plan, phones and concerns, he made changes that for some reason we were not able to on our phone manager section and I was so happy to see that when he switched over each phone, our apps, icons, home screens, texts, email EVERYTHING was exactly as it should be, evidently gone are the days of backing up and re-adding everything, which is a good thing because I can't remember a password to save my life, but I can remember the lyrics to every Romeo Void, New Order and 80's song.. Go figure! Anyway, Ricardo changed my view and opinion of Verizon, just by giving the best possible customer service ever! Thank YOU!! read more

THIS IS NOT VERIZON DIRECT. I was told the iPad I received was free as a perk for renewing my contract I specifically asked again and was told FREE. 28 days later I received a $50 monthly service charge. The iPad was still factory sealed and never activated because I didn't need it. I only took it because I was told it was free. Returning it took OVER an hour because this is not a corporate Verizon store. Overall, the offer was misleading and the return process was extremely frustrating. read more

He made sure we were aware of services we could add, but didn't press when we weren't interested. We got the new phone we wanted at an affordable price. I would give it a zero if i could. Shady business do not tell the truth and after i caught on to what they were doing threatened to call the police on me. They are not a Verizon Corporate store and you should know the difference between them. They have extra charges that the Verizon Corporate do not charge such as set up and go 49.99 if they transfer your data . My son did it himself and they still tried to charge him the fee. They tricked my husband into doing it well more like forced him. They had the audacity to tell me the Verizon site is never correct when i check what my future bill would be. We went in for the 1100 dollar deal and got 750 keep your old phone and they put it on the bill as a new line for the old phone and i was going to get charges an extra 48 dollars a moth on my bill for service to the phone even after telling them we didn't want the old phone hooked up to service. They insisted we got the 1100 deal as well and said oh Verizon will pay for 36 months for the old phone sounded shady to me called Verizon and as suspected not true at all. And when confronted about it the manager i guess was this young kid Lawrence talked over me told me i was wrong and threatened to call the police to have me removed from the store. I will never do business there again. Called Verizon and got it all taken care of and profusely apologized to for the stores actions and lies. BEWARE!!!! The set up and go charge is not a corporate Verizon store charge it is a charge the store charges which is why the guy insisted he do it for my husband. read more

Learn some customer service skills from Amazon!!!! I can't wait until the metaverse makes stores like this obsolete. There is no service to customers. These people are totally useless. They cannot do anything more than what anyone can do at home. So why bother going to the store. Useless and extremely frustrating. I'm switching to T-Mobile. I'm still fuming. I went to the Howell store planning on purchasing a phone. I like to do that in person rather than mail. A very rude young lady opened the door to stop me from coming in. "What are you looking for" she said. I told her I wanted to buy a new phone. "Which one?". I replied, I don't know yet that's why I'm here. " she said "well you can't touch the phones". Ok, so since I can touch the phones in every single other store that sells phones, I relied, " I guess I'll go somewhere else?" With that she said ok so go somewhere else. I asked for the manager. I recently visited this store for an upgrade. I had a Samsung S6 and went with the S9+. I did my research prior to visiting so I knew exactly what I wanted and how much it should have been. My research did not save me from the horrible feeling this store gave me. Comparable to shopping for a car and dealing with sleazy car salesperson. Deception everywhere! Key points of deception: 1. The displays for the iphones had little cards underneath with the "small print" info for the phone. The holders were made of tempered glass so you couldn't even read it. DECEPTION. 2. When discussing data plans, the agent discussed my data usage based on "quarter year" usage. Why would she use my quarter usage when data is based on monthly usage. DECEPTION. Poor attempt to confuse the customer . Overall, I got what I wanted and happy with the phone. The salesperson was nice and probably just following store protocol. No ill will towards her, but process still made me feel uncomfortable. ugh. read more

I just left the Howell Verizon store and may I say the service rendered was magnificent. I dealt with a young CSR named Aaron and his assistance was second to none. He was extremely professional and took care of my situation in a timely fashion. He was polite and courteous and I will have no problem returning to your Howell store! If you go there, don't let Rob help you with your phone. I told him my Samsung Note 5 had a battery drain. He changed my setting from global to lte thinking that would fix the problem. My phone was on 51 percent battery at 11:21 when I walked into the store today. It is now at 15 percent at 1:25 p.m. He seemed pretty confident he resolved the issue. Sorry, Rob, all you managed to do was shut down the phone and restart it over and over again. Oh, woop di doo! I love this store and I love the staff. We've been coming here for year since Verizon opened in our area. Never have I had a problem with the staff members. Andre is probably one of the nicest and most knowledge people here. Great customer service skills and always gets me threw no matter what my issue is. Every location should have an Andre. There are is another gentleman in this location that went over and above when he upgraded my three phones. I can't think of his name at the moment but I will update this and let you know. He worked with us four days to upgrade our phones to make sure we were happy. He also helped me surprise my daughter when we bought her her first phone. Great staff and wonderful manager! This is the only thing about Verizon that I can honestly say that I do like this store and this staff! What I don't like are the long Waits that we get into sometimes but that's not their fault. They are always staffed well it's just that the volume of people can get crazy at times. read more

Went to the store last week. Kyle assisted me in picking out a new phone for my upgrade. He was so kind, helpful and patient. Any question I asked he looked into it for me and help me as best as he could. He didn't hide any hidden fees from me and helped me every possible from the phone, data plan and bill. If anyone wants impeccable customer service, ask for Craig. I had to go back twice due to being indecisive on which iPhone I wanted. Both times I went, Craig was patient, knowledgable, and very personable. Been to this store twice and both experiences were awful. The staff is pushy, rude, and completely unprofessional. First experience, the tech standing at the door would not allow me to talk to a representative from the store until I was "processed" through their system-even while a half a dozen representatives idly stood around waiting for customers. My question had nothing to do with my plan...it was merely a clarification question on a new phone, and there was no reason I was told to wait for help while the representatives were clearly available. Second experience was even more upsetting. I accompanied my grandparents to the store so they could understand how a smartphone upgrade would change their monthly bill. The representative that helped us (rather rudely) was not concerned at all with my grandparents concerns and instead of offering what they were interested in and what they needed she suggested plans and products that they had no interest in. Instead of assisting them, she was pushy and disrespectful. She had no interest in helping them find what was best for them. Furthermore, when I tried to ensure that my grandparents understood the differences in their current phone and a possible smartphone upgrade, this representative made it clear that I was not qualified to assist my grandparents...even though I knew exactly what they were looking for. Overall, I hope I never have a reason to visit this Verizon store in the future.
