When my Wife and I entered the store, there were two employees working with customers. We went to sit down at a table in the center of the room. We sat there about 15 min and no one acknowledged us. They didn't even say welcome or we will be with you in a few minutes. When we left they didn't even lift their heads to see us off. Don't go to this location. Their employees have bad attitudes and can't answer a simple question without being B*****s.. All I asked was to see the size difference between the 14 plus vs 14 pro max. When I looked it up online it said the 14plus was a little bit wider and lighter than the pro max. So I just wanted to see in person before I purchased anything. There were three girls. The one helping me was the only nice one, the other two were rude. When I first asked to see the 14plus, the girl that was helping me went to the back to grab it. Another employee had just clocked out but she walked back there and told the girl to just let me look at the 14 promax because "they're the same thing just one has three cameras" then she walked right out the store. That made me feel stupid for even asking. Anyway she took me to the front to see the promax on display. Then I tried to ask about the software because when I was trying to do research it looked like the promax had more features, so I was just curious if there was any difference. The third girl cut her off saying it's exactly the same, repeating again that one has three cameras and she listed one more difference, but I forget what she said. So in response, I told them that I was trying to look it up online last night and it said it was different so I just wanted to see in person then I apologized. Their attitude towards me made it feel like I was doing something wrong for asking. Immediately after that I left bc I didn't want to bother them anymore. Unfortunately I didn't get their names, but they shouldn't have to act like that. Sorry I don't know everything and anything there is to know about phones? They made me feel like I was asking dumb questions when it was genuine questions for me. Hopefully this review does something but I doubt it. read more

Took my daughter to this location to pick up her new phone .. there was one associate there with 4 patient customers in line ... I have to say he stayed patient , calm & he was very nice .. handled everyone like an equal. Store was nice , clean an cool .. we we there at 535 on a Saturday. Kylee (I hope I'm spelling her name right) has been the best person to help us at any Verizon that me and my family has ever been to. I went a month prior to the kakaako location looking to upgrade my phone. And the guy who helped me gave me ridiculous numbers and I passed the opportunity. I checked again when coming in with my mom at this location with Kylee and she was very straightforward and the most patient worker. The prices she gave me were more realistic and I was shocked as to what the kakaako location told me the month before. She also talked stories with us to pass the time while our phones we're transferring data. Keep up the amazing work Kylee, you've helped us a ton! read more

Straight Garbage. Tried to change my son's phone number after only having it for 24 hours and he is a little kid and receiving unsolicited texts and text chains from grown people with language and wildly inappropriate photos. The little boy that runs the place was walking out the door and only said got to pay 15$ to change the number. even after I told them we only opened up this new line less then 24 hours ago. I hope this store gets their shit together. Not the first time I heard of this little manager being as rude sack of shit. read more

I was greeted by the most wonderful friendly customer service member. This was my 3rd Verizon store I visited Sunday morning. The one closest to my house was closed (Sunday). The one that I have used over the past 15 + years told me they weren't taking anymore walk ins, (it was only noon). I really needed help & I believed it to be a simple fix. Then, I tried the Kapolei mall. Thank goodness I did because there I met TJ. It's worth paying the $80 for a screen protector for my husband's S8+ he replaced it 4x already. He works in construction so he constantly drops his phone and the screen protector cracks. Even though is in a survivor case. The glass protector must be cheap glass. No hassle no quesrions. He just goes in gives his phone humber and they replace it. Worth evey penny. Service is okay. Nothing that would Wow me. Seems like whenever we go in to this location theirs no customers. read more

Although he tried to sell a lot of other frills that I didn't need (screen covers, additional warranty, tablets, etc), he was still very helpful. This review would be five stars, but when I called the location about a week and a half later to discuss my shoddy Speck case and request a replacement, the man on the phone was rather aggressive in response. He basically couldn't help me other than tell me to go to another GoWireless store and inquire for a case replacement. I've been a Verizon customer for 25+ years and I have never been treated horribly the way we were when we first visited the Kapolei store. This was our 2nd time going into this Verizon and let me tell you, it was a GREAT experience. It was empty, greeted by the most cheerful man. He was the Manager helping from another store. Verizon had the phone in stock and Sheydan (manager) was knowledgeable, above and beyond in assisting our needs and answered our questions. Bad experience with Miriam: My very first month with Verizon/Go Wireless at ka makana alii 1. Miriam was arrogant during our entire phone call from start to finish. He questioned whether I was calling the right store for starters, as if I'm an idiot. 2. He said it was "impossible" to ever get a 679 number for a new line, and when asked to explain why it was impossible, Miriam answered that I would understand if I had been in the "wireless industry," rather than actually explaining himself. I honestly don't think he knew the answer to my question, and rather than humbly doing research and getting back to me, he tore me down to make himself feel superior. 3. He refused to give me his name. When asked for his name, he answered, "will giving you my name really get to the bottom of your problem." Why, yes it should, because I will be making a complaint and warning others to beware. I had to insist on speaking with my previous representative, Christian, and HE gave me Miriam's name. Thank you, Christian. Customers do have a right to make complaints, and first names should not be a secret. If you won't give your name, you probably know you've been unprofessional. Miriam told me that I could come out to the store if I wanted to know who he was. Wow. Someone that confrontational shouldn't be in customer service ANYTHING. 4. Worst of all-I wasn't even upset or mad when I called. I was simply calling to make sure that the phone I ordered for Christmas was still being held for me, and that someone would continue to attempt to snag a 679 number for me. Due to his attitude and bad customer service, I hung up with negative feelings wildly unnecessarily. ***Word to the "cellular industry" wise: When customers spend thousands of dollars on new phones and hundreds of dollars in wireless service each month, We expect to be able to call our wireless store/carrier when issues or questions arise without getting attitude or unnecessary distress from PAID employees. read more

NOT A REAL VERIZON STORE. LIES! HIGHER PRICES! So I just moved back to the USA and to Hawaii. I needed to start new service with a US cell phone provider, I was shopping around and talking to friends about the providers. As a Military member I quickly found out that Verizon was the way to go for coverage on all Islands and mostly on the base I would work. I was told by a friend to go to the Verizon in Kapolei. Come to find out the location at the Ka Makana Al'i mall is not the one he was talking about.. After my bad experience at this location he clarified it is the Corporate location around the Target in Kapolei Commons, not this location at the mall. That is the one to go to.. check out my review for that location. Night and day compared to this fake Verizon location. I went in just to get some information and the person helping me was pushing items I just did not want or need. I just wanted 1 Samsung S8+ with Unlimited. It was like pulling teeth to get a price just for that. When providing a quote they included a tablet and all these extras. After saying please just tell me how much for 1 smartphone line with unlimited data, both the out the door price and monthly bill. The person helping me was just very short and clearly I was taking too much time. There was never a mention of Military discounts or the $200 gift card for Military moving to Verizon. They did tell me the correct monthly cost on the 1 line Unlimited plan, yet the monthly for the phone was $36.24 and on the Verizon webpage it is only $35 per month. Come to find out these Authorized retail locations have their own prices for phones and the price is more over the Verizon webpage and Corporate stores. The person also told me it would be around $200 out the door. When I question why so much i was lied too. From my research it should have just been the tax of the phone and that would be around $50. They told me it was base on my credit... But they were going to give me all these "Free" things with my phone. Free in this case is over $150.00. My credit by he way is very good and when I asked the Corporate Verizon location I was told, I did qualify for 0% down and just have to pay tax out the door. So do not get fooled this is not a real Verizon store, it is a "Go Wireless" and after my poor experience I did some online research and found this is common for them. Save yourself money and avoid the lies!!! go to a real Verizon corporate location. The one in Kapolei Commons was so helpful and saved me money and really got me all the Military Discounts they could. This location tried to steal and lie to me. read more

Here it is Saturday the 11th and I called to see if anything came in and the lady answered back with "we don't get shipments on the weekends. They did not want to help me! I had a phone that was having issues and I was told "it is out of date and you need to buy a new one" they did not even try to help me. I found out this location is not a full corporate own location but a reseller. That is a key word all they want to do is sell not help. I have learned my lesson on go to the full corporate location around the Target in Kapolei! They helped me gave me options; one that had no cost! Went in there at 4pm, one male clerk helping a customer with a phone issue. How do I know that? He had to call the 800 number and said "phone issues". At the point he acknowledged me and said he'll be with me in a few minutes. All I wanted to do was pay my bill! He even put the phone down and had the speaker on. 8 minutes later I walk out!! Buyers beware. when you go into this store (because it's close) thinking it's a verizon store. that would be your first mistake. it's not. then they sell you a phone you don't need because they won't help you with the phone you have that is having some issues. they're response...you have to contact Samsung direct. then they tell you that you are able to get an early upgrade at no cost....untrue (as the charge shows up on your next bill) then then tell you that the phone costs $200, another untruth. the deposit is $200. the additional $500-600 will be billed monthly on your phone bill. (but they don't tell you this part. you find out when you get your next statement) so after all these untruths hit the statement..you call and the manager Ryan says, "I'll talk to my district manager". but he never calls you back....even when you give him 3-6 weeks. so....buyer beware...this store just wants to sell you an expensive phone (and the new phone they sell you...doesn't work either)...so they sell you defective product, don't help you fix issues even if they promise to help. this store and staff and company.... they want the sale....they don't care how they get it. they will even forge your signature on the documents. this is truth....I have experience it. they forged my signature on documents. they said early upgrade no fee, they said phone costs $200. UNTRUE. I got charged the early upgrade (even when Ryan said he'd reverse that charge) They forged my signature on documents (I saw the documents) the NEW phone i bought...isn't working 100% (but now it's up to me to contact LG for any support) then the monthly charges that I didn't know about...starting showing on my statement. Per Ryan. (the store manager) he will speak with district manager. it's been over a month...I have heard nothing. BUYER BE WARE. Avoid this store and company if you value being told the truth and getting a NEW working phone. read more

I was nervous about buying a phone. I mean I heard stories of how some sales people can rip you off, or throw in deals that seems good - but is really like a snare in the latter future. However, coming to here was totally different; in fact, I actually had a blast talking to the salesman. The first time I walked in I was greeted by Ben one of the reps of Verizon, really chilled/professional guy - very easy to talk to. He helped me buy the phone I wanted and had set it up as well. I visited that place three times and all three times all my questions were answered, and needs were tended to. He didnt talk fast, but he explained to me step-by-step, slowly what I was getting into very clearly and also suggested some good tips and points into buying a phone. I live on the westside so there's a closer Verizon in Kapolei Commons (which I didnt find out till like later lol) but I would rather pass that Verizon just to go to the Ka Makana Ali'i one just because the services were on point, and I felt very well taken of.
