I had a dead battery in the parking lot. I was upset because my grandson and I had a nice evening and we get back to the truck to a completely dead battery and no one at home answering their phone. I walked over to O'Reilly's and Kayden was happy to assist. He walked over to our truck and helped us start it right away. I asked him how much does it cost to jump someone's batter. All the employees are knowledgeable and helpful but if you get Sharnelle, you scored. She always takes the time to answer my questions. She makes sure I get the correct products and gives me valuable maintenance lessons that I never knew about. I really appreciate her time, kindness and professionalism. I really have to give O'Reilly in Nanakuli 5 stars, I was on the westside and my battery gave out and I was stranded. Friends gave me a jump and I drove to O'Reilly in Nanakuli and after a bit of a wait in line I was met by Daniel. I explained my problem to Daniel and agreed I needed a new battery. Daniel was professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He treated me like I was family and that turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. Daniel helped me make a good decision on a new battery. He explained the warranty and said they can change the battery out for at no cost and take care of the old battery as well. Once I paid, I thought I was at a NASCAR track. Daniel pushed his cart with the new battery and his tools to the parking lot and changed out the battery in just a few minutes. Daniel explained what he was doing as he changed the battery and talked story at the same time and is just an outstanding employee for O'Reilly. Customer service sucks!!! Walked in and all FIVE employees turned and looked, didn't say one word and went back to talking stories. That's not even the worst part, when they FAILED to come out onto the floor to offer any assistance I had to go up there to let them know that a bottle had fallen and it's contents were on the floor. The TWO out of FIVE employees didn't even budge. The one guy that was actually "working" went to check (without any cleaning supplies) after he got off the phone with another customer. I use them a lot! Hours is awesome. Prices are sometimes high but they price match, I can't complain much. Attitude isn't very professional but I prefer that over someone trying too hard to sell me something. Only problem I really had more than one time, was I called to check availability on a part and was put on hold for 45min. Drove there while I was still on hold only to find the sales person who placed me on hold outside smoking a cigarette!!! Hahahahaha should've just said you was on break!!! While on hold the store is empty and I ask another sales rep aren't you going to check on the phones! He tells me that's not his call!!! I died!!! Can we just fire them and find people who really want to work!? Hahahahaha I'm dead!!! Hahahahaha!!! I like this place when normal people are working!!! They have great customer service here. I called earlier to see if they had my part in stock and they where quick to confirm the part in stock. When I got to the they had my part ready to go. The clerk had a positive attitude and she listened to all my jokes. The best part is she attempted to upsell me which was good because it reminded me of the other accessories I needed to complete the repair. read more

I would give 0 stars if i could.. i am from honolulu by ala moana and i needed a part that was only in stock at this location. So i called and asked them to put the part on hold for me. They tild me they did however once i got there they said they only had one in stock and could not find it. I drove all the way there with my infant who hates car rides. While there i also noticed a bunch of other unsattiafied customers as this location was extremely unorganized. They had an entire area of post it notes layed out by their register for customers. One guy seemed extremely overwhelmed and kept swearing on his way to the bacck office. read more

Customer service is not a priority here. 1. You are not greeted when you walk in. 2. They pretend they don't see you if they are "busy" ( Typing on the computer or talking to coworkers. ) 3. There is no clear area of where any lines start. ( Shelves are awkwardly place at the front of the store so you can't usually tell which line other people are standing in. ) Very unprofessional. These are my experiences here on numerous occasions. Once in a while I will have someone help me who is good but most times not. read more

Friendly staff showed an exactly where the item I was looking for was at. They also take the time to talk with each customer about what they need to make sure they get the correct part(s). This can mean waiting around while other people are helped but overall the good customer service is really a plus, imo. read more

Really rude staff. I get that it's an auto parts store and they're probably not getting paid a bunch of money. But they could at least say thank you when someone purchases something and apologize for the wait. Also don't answer the phone and have a 10-15 minute conversation while someone is waiting to check out. It's common curtesy. read more

My Moms truck couldn't start and seemed as if the battery was shot. So she purchased a new battery and we got it changed out after work. Unfortunately, the truck still couldn't start, however, the lights on the dashboard still illuminated. After further knocking we found the starter went bad. She hurried to the part store and was greeted by (2) cashiers whom she came home and raved highly of how customer service oriented they were. As the sunset and everything became dark we finally got the truck started and in good working order. So before nights end she hurried back before closing to return something that weren't need and mentioned she needed a replacement cap for the oil reservoir on her truck. Again the same (2) friendly cashiers assisted her. She came home once more and raved of how nice they were. So I called to speak with a manager to inform of the wonderful experience my Mom had this evening. The female worker was a new employee and the gentlemen suitor was the manager on duty. I thanked them for making her none car knowing experience an awesome one. I salute you (2) for being top notch and ensuring my Moms every car need in your store was taken cared of. Giving 1 star because ZERO stars is not an option. My nephew called in the parts we needed to the Nānākuli store before we headed over to pick them up. All clerks but one were busy helping other customers. The clerk who was free didn't make eye contact, wasn't on the computer and was not engaging. Well we thought we were going to get help when the clerk called us to the counter. He wasn't listening because my nephew had to tell the clerk a couple of times that we called earlier to make sure the parts were there. While we were at the counter the phone rings. The clerk answers the phone and starts to have a 5-7 minute conversation while we are waiting in front of him. Before he can get our parts for us, the phone rings and we're in for another 5-7 minute wait. The clerk was paying more attention to the caller than the customers in front of him. This is TERRIBLE customer service. We are from this community and this is not acceptable. When we spoke with the manager later over the phone, we were told that employees HAVE to answer the phone EVEN if there are customers in front of them. Unbelievable! read more

Worse customer service by 2 employees! I went there today to get my battery tested. I walked in with my old battery stood in line and waited. I see another guy walk from the side to ask a male employee for help with a wiper blade and I hear the worker say oh you gotta wait for the them pointing to the other workers who are helping other customers. The customer says something but I couldn't hear what he says, but the workers tells him oh I gotta go on a delivery and if u don't go they going be mad. The worker yells to another worker asking where the vehicle is parked and then walks out. The customer ends up walking up 1 of the aisles. Now it's my turn, the worker black female with long painted nails can I help you. Me carrying my battery oh yes can my battery be tested. The worker oh yah going be an hour so you can just drop it off(very cocky/sassy voice). My response really the last time never take that long. Worker walking towards the front of the aisle behind her in a very cocky response oh well you can wait if you like but its going to take an hour. My response you know what nevermind you have a very cocky attitude I will take my business else where(as I walk away from the counter towards the door). Another employee says oh I can help you, I say loudly walking closer to the door No that's ok she has a cocky attitude I will just take my business else where. I so wanted to call the store and talk to the manager but if they were one of them by the counter they should have been able to hear what I said. If not here you go your employees need customer service training on how to talk. I'm from here and also born and raised Westside learn how to talk to customers!! I called in to see if they had a oil pump gasket the guy said yes they have one in stock I said I will get a ride and I will come pick that up please save it aside for me I gave him my name and he said he would reserve it for me. when I got there and told them is there a order for my name they said no, and told them that we called earlier and reserved part for us their reply was that they never got any calls about any seals. The workers are very helpful whenever I may have questions, usually in and out. If you need a part that's not in store they can order it and it won't take too long either! The hours are great, open early and stay open fairly late -- better than not making it home on time to stop by the other auto part stores in Waianae. The shop is also very clean and organized. Overall my personal favorite place to stop by. read more

Lines are slow and the way the lines are set up, people sometimes snake ahead of you. Some of the people at the counter are very knowledgable and all are friendly. Better prices and service than Hanabusa's Napa. Easy returns. read more
