Mold infested and rude staff! I would not recommend this establishment coming from a personal concierge'

Pickup a new phone that was ordered online and John will basically walk off and say get out. Wouldn't give me a chance to turn it on to see if it even worked. Very rude and unhelpful read more

We were waiting for the next available worker, and my toddler and I were quietly walking around looking at items while he played with a small toy he had brought. The place was almost empty, and we weren't bothering anyone. However, we were told we couldn't stand and needed to sit. For a toddler, sitting still for 20+ minutes is unrealistic, especially when he was being calm and respectful. This policy felt very unfriendly toward families, and I ended up having to take him outside to walk around in 90-degree heat. It was disappointing to see such little understanding for parents with young children. read more

The iPhone 12 is out. Where can I go see it touch it play with the camera of the 12 max pro? I have service with Verizon and my wife has service with Verizon. Makes sense we go there right? We walk into our local Verizon store and find it full of salespeople standing right at the door. They pounce while we are walking in the door. What can we do for you today they ask. We can let the pouncing go because we think maybe we will have great service since not one salesperson is busy. Letting them know we are in to look at the new iPhone 12 max pro the customer service agent grunts they are over there. Shake of the head to let us know they are on the wall. My wife tries to pick it up and bam a cable keeps it within inches of the display. You can't place it to your ear. You cannot even find out what it will feel like because of the way it is tied down. The brand new camera that is supposed to be awesome, well you can't take a photo. We ask if they have one we can look at. It is a very short answer NO! Surprised we start to ask a question and before we can he says we lock them down because people steal them. I understand shrinkage in the retail space. Cheers to methods that lower thief. There seems to be a way you could have one you can demo though. One I can look at without an attitude and the insinuation I am going to steal the phone. So how can I test the camera? Shoulder shrug. Do you know where we can touch and test one out? Now I am thinking they will have a demo unit they can hand me. Like a jeweler hands you a 10,000 dollar tennis bracelet. They allow you to hold it try it on. It isn't locked to the wall! Anyhow back to the store. They say you can get a better feel for the phone at Best Buy or the Apple Store. We leave immediately and go to Best Buy. I have to say a very well-designed display allows you to play with the phone and (wait for it) it cannot be stolen. Regardless they didn't treat us like we were going to steal the phone. The service was excellent. The person taking care of us even shows low light and no light photos on his own iPhone 12 max pro. It was such a different experience. We are happily shopping at other stores now. At their suggestion. We will be looking for a new phone plan as well. read more

What a poor service experience today at Verizon. We've been buying and upgrading phones at this location for 10+ years. Today, worst experience ever. Had to wait about three minutes after checking in when we were approached by our sales representative who asked what we would like to accomplish today. We told him we were wanting to upgrade my wife's phone. Told him we were interested in the new Apple XS. He went back to get our new phone came back out asked them if we were interested in a case. I told him that we would purchase one on Amazon when we got home. He asked about the spring protector and I told him the same thing about Amazon. He then stop talking worked on his handheld register asked for my credit card gave it back into a drawer got a bag stuck my phone in it and said here you go. No directions whatsoever. read more

Oh wow! I would advise anyone to avoid this location. We had an issue with an employee at the store yesterday evening right before closing so made an appointment to speak with a manager about it and try to resolve an ongoing problem as well as purchase new phones. The "solutions manager" according to his name tag, Jake, proceeded to tell my husband that he didn't believe what we were describing actually happened. There would be no possible motive to make it up! No effort was made to resolve the problem or address the issue with the employee. Another employee, Darren, come over and raised his voice at us for no reason at all. We are a middle aged couple. Not exactly threatening! After this rudeness we left. Anyone who see's this message please understand that if your eligible for an upgrade on your Verizon Wireless phone that your monthly fee will increase when under contract versus being discounted while not under contract. I feel like a trick was played on me bc i did not want my monthly bill to increase while upgrading, so therefore i paid outa pocket versus the the monthly "rental fee" when given the option. I am currently researching my options with another carrier bc i feel like i was robbed. So much for them to claim i was a customer since 2001 when it has been longer then that. read more

I really dreaded this experience. I've had to switch over phone services before and it took hours. However the staff at this store made my experience awesome! The woman who greeted me was super friendly and we chatted about Vera Bradley after she complimented my purse. I was then helped by Anthony who was very detailed every step of the way and recommended a new case and screen protector. My phone was taking a while to download the iCloud backup so I shopped at other stores for about an hour and came back and it was all good to go. I also got a huge credit by trading in my phone which allowed me to get the new iPhone. All around an awesome experience! --- Edited: Apparently they don't have WiFi in this store (which seems crazy to me). So they used about 0.5GB of my data for the month doing the iCloud transfer without telling me. I called to ask if I could get a refund and wasn't able to speak with someone at the actual store, but the rep told me she would put a note on my account and that I would not be charged if I went over at the end of the month. Kind of ridiculous for a cell phone store to not have WiFi! read more

Got everything cleared on getting a phone. I couldn't figure out what phone to get. The sales man told me I could try a free phone while I did some research on which one I wanted and I could come back and turn it in within 30 for no cost to switch. I told him I wasn't ready to start a new contract and he said if I cancel within 30 days it would cost absolutely nothing and I could walk away owing nothing. I asked if they could switch over my old number they said yes. So I said lets do it. They got the phone started and off I went. About an hour later phone still not working, went in and they said OHHH we couldn't switch your old number over sorry. Had to get new number. Order 5000 more business cards with new number and I'm PISSED i lost my old one. A few days later phone lost service for 3 hours in Kansas city. My old Cingular had signal the whole time. I decided I'm not going to switch. I went back to the verizon store to turn the phone back in. I had it for 4 days and they refused to take it back. Finally got them to take it back. Verizon now says I owe them $300 for the minutes used and for transferring the number even though it didn't even work. Come to find out the phone they had given me was an old model that is way out dated "not surprised". Basically Verizon in Lees summit is a bunch of liars and thiefs DONT GO THERE!!! read more

The service in this store is outstanding. John spent much time with us as we worked through issues with my dad's phone that were not simple. John was patient and kind not to mention super knowledgeable!! He gets 10 stars!! Great store! read more

Went to this store to upgrade to the new iPhones. The person we worked with (believe his name was John), rushed through everything. He failed to ask us if we wanted to trade in the phones when we clearly had them set out on the table in front of him. For one of the phones he failed to activate the phone to Verizon, so we had to spend 2 hours on the phone with Apple and Verizon identifying and fixing the problem. Overall, would have been a lot nicer if they would have taken their time with us and been more helpful when we're spending so much on new devices. read more

I went in to add a line with Darren's help in September. He was rude that day but I just assumed it was a bad day and took it in stride. He confirmed 3 times that once my billing cycle was up to date within 3ish billing cycles that my payment would be $32/line + $41.66(one device payment, the other was free) + taxes. That came out to $105.66 + taxes. I thought that seemed too good to be true but he gave me his card and told me to come back in and see him if this wasn't the case and he'd fix it for me. I came back in yesterday and asked for his help to adjust my incorrect bill of $140 and he claimed there's nothing he can do and yelled at me without letting me get a word in and would not stop talking over me. I was trying to go through all of the numbers he added up for me that I had noted down and he wouldn't even listen and literally YELLED at me for trying to ask why it wasn't the price he originally said. I called support after leaving the store and they informed me that his quote of $32/line was only good if I had 3 lines on my plan.... I obviously only had two so I wouldn't get that price. This guy should not be working in customer service. He clearly doesn't know much about the prices he's guaranteeing customers and then couldn't take accountability for it when I came to him for help. I've never in my entire life been treated so poorly by a customer service rep. He comes off as if he doesn't care at ALL about his job or helping customers out and is miserable to talk to (even the first time I saw him). read more

My boyfriend and I went in to this location on a Sunday around 5pm. We waited for a while which we are both pretty patient people so it didn't bother us a ton. We were called to be helped by SI-Ayrah. She had extremely long nails and long eyelashes which i don't view as professional in my opinion. We could tell right off the bat she was trying to rush us and get us out the door which doesn't seem like a big deal but in this situation it is. We were in there to see about getting my boyfriend the new iPhone 14 Pro as he was due for an upgrade, they had a deal for trade ins so that is what he was wanting to see about doing. He has the iPhone 12 Mini currently which does have the glass backing. The back of the phone is damaged. As soon as we sat down she had him start doing stuff in his settings (which if she was paying attention she would've seen the damage at that point) ,getting in the process to shut down his phone without even looking over the phone or evaluating to see any water damage, cracks etc. She asks what color iPhone he wants, asks if he wants a screen protector, even has him pay for the new phone, and lets him look at phone cases. Just really trying to get her commission in! She begins putting the screen protector on the new iPhone 14 Pro (She's doing this all while not checking over his current phone at all!) She then directs him to a different table to set up his new phone on his own (which I thought was strange because I thought they did that for you). He's about 5 minutes into setting up his new phone when she asks him to put a sticker with a bar code on his current iPhone 12 Mini when she finally notices the damage on the current phone and says and i quote "Oh no we can't take that if the phone is damaged." and "You gotta tell us if the phone is damaged man." Then proceeds to yank the iPhone 14 Pro out of his hands and turn her back to us and wave her hands around, slapping her legs making a big scene in front of everyone in the entire store. She turns around a says "Alright i'll be right back." Without even telling us what she's doing, she goes to the back room and doesn't come back for another 10 minutes. When she does come back, she sets 2 pieces of paper on the table and says "Here ya go have a nice day." and turns back around to begin helping a new set of customers. No other offers to see if he wanted to do anything else, no other help at all to see about getting him an upgrade. I do not personally have a phone plan with Verizon but i'm glad I don't. We will not be returning to this location. read more

Earlier this week, I wrote a review about the authorized dealer for Verizon on Douglas. One of the worst customer service encounters I have ever experienced! Today, my husband and I entered the store on Chipman and we encountered the exact opposite of our going to the Douglas dealer. This review is to say, "THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about." We were greeted within seconds of entering at Chipman location. The store was really busy but our name was taken by the manager and he told us one of the sales staff would be with us shortly. WOW! WOW! WOW! They were outstanding! If you live in or near L.S., this is the store for Verizon customers. read more

I went to this store, as my camera stopped working. They were unable to correct the problem. I was advised by this location to go to ubreakifix in Blue Springs. I arrived the next day they kept my phone and advised me to come back next day. I arrived next day to find out camera on phone not fixed. The part to fix is out of stock. I was advised by ubreakifix to contact vzw and advise unable to repair camera. Contacted vzw next day advised of situation. Representative trouble shot over phone, unable to fix problem. They advised me would need to do a factory reset. Asked if I was connected to wifi. I advised no was at work. She advised to call back when I was able to connect to wifi. Called back that evening after going through prompts in the automated system, a recording stated unable to help and to call back during regular business hours. I call the next day representative asked if on wifi and backup complete. I was on wifi. He ran a diagnostic check backup complete. Advised to click factory reset. I asked if I lost him to call back. He advised he would try. Factory reset took long time. Waited for a call back. Never happened. I called back representative asked about camera. I advised hadn't check yet. Checked camera still not functioning. Representative advised me that I needed to take back to ubreakifix. I asked why, he advised new policy. He advised first couldn't see i went earlier. Then found notes from ubreakifix stating part out of stock. I asked again so I need to take the phone back to ubreakifix he advised again yes. I thanked him for time and to have a nice day. I then contacted ubreakifix by phone. The representative remembered me. I advised I was told to bring phone back. He said what. He asked if I gave ticket number. I advised I didn't have to, they read notes from ubreakifix to me. He asked me to come in Monday ask for him. So here i am now. read more

Poor customer service. Bought the new S8 and was steered to the tempered glass protector. DO NOT BUY IT. It never adhered to my phone and after a few weeks of hassling with it I took it off. Returned it to Verizon Lee's Summit and was told about their generous 14 day return policy. Their solution, buy another one. Really ?!?! Thanks for stealing $34.99 + tax. And after I bought your top of the line phone. Shame. read more

Went there on a Saturday when it wasn't that busy after the Christmas holiday. We were greeted and put on the list . 5 mins later the young lady came up to help. my wife didn't change her name when we were married on the account she has had for a good 8 years. the girl said we had to call the Verizon person or go online to get that changed. So you call someone and say change the name and they believe who you are. but you cant do it in front of a store person. The wife tries to call but gets the usual run around. We get frustrated and of course the girl has moved on to someone else. After 8 years of being with Verizon we went down the street to At&t and got new phones at a great discount and was done in less than an hour. You lose again Verizon for terrible customer service. read more

Went into Verizon so they could ship my old iPhone back and after waiting a gentleman eventually offered to see why I came in. When I explained my situation the Verizon employee was rude as if I was bothering him. I tried to explain to him that they return phones all the time and I just needed them to assist since I purchased the new phone from their location. I was abruptly told that they can't help me. It was the way he acted that really told the story. I would not recommend this location! At least not with this employee! Thankfully there are other locations, and other mobile options. read more

The customer service is terrible. The CSR lies to me about the manger being on a conference call, when I asked to speak with him. Verizon sent me the wrong phones that I ordered online, and said they would wave the restocking fee since it was their error. I went to this location to trade in my phones, and they are saying the $70 fee is mandatory, even though a member of management said otherwise. I am currently waiting on hold with online support, still in this store, watching the rude CSR play on his phone. I will be calling corporate. read more
