This LOCATION is a scam! Came to upgrade my iPhone and they only had two on display, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 pro max. I wanted to get something smaller than the pro max but said they didn't have such thing until I did more research came back to the store and they said OH they have the iPhone pro but it's not on display.. and charging me $90 to exchange. WHY SHOULD I BE PAYING FOR SOMETHING THEIR EMPLOYEES HAD NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT AND NOT ON DISPLAY. This place is a SCAM. It is not even a real Verizon store. On the receipt it says Victra which I assume is a 3rd party. They told me if I traded in my old phone then I would get a credit card towards a new phone. So I did it and later I find that the credit actually applies an equal amount each month over a 36 month contract?? Which is ridiculous. Also, they pulled out chargers and items I needed with the phone and I asked them, is this included in the cost of the phone and the sale lady said yes. What I didn't know until later is that they charged me for those items. Nothing was included. So when I thought I was paying the remainder balance of the phone after the trade in, what I was actually paying for were all of these over priced accessories that I could get on Amazon for much cheaper and various "set-up" fees. Do not come to this place. I wish they would not put such a scamming place in the black neighborhood. They also need to change the name above the store. It is not Verizon. read more

Always go to an actual Verizon store NOT an authorized retailer like this one. Even Verizon staff told me to stay away and I didn't listen and went here instead to get a new phone. Never again. They charge you for a "package" that they say is required (basically charges you for 3 phone accessories that they say is discounted but isn't- I looked online and I could've bought the 3 accessories online for way cheaper) and include fees for things I don't need or want like a "Redux Single" and they charge you $25 for a "set up and go" fee which actual Verizon stores do not charge. I left paying $324.00 for all these things that I would not have paid for if I had gone to an actual Verizon store. So predatory!! read more

They told us that this specific Victra store on Crenshaw is well known for scamming people and I should call and put in a formal complaint. I stopped by this location around 6:15pm with lots of questions about starting a new wireless plan. It was easily the best service I have ever received at a cell phone store. Rachel was working at the time and she patiently listened to my questions, providing detailed information about costs, trade-in options, available discounts, and logistics for switching providers. Because of this interaction, I am certain that I will be changing my provider to Verizon for both my cell phone and home internet. Not a deal breaker, as I would've bought some sort of protection for the phone anyway. I wound up getting the iPhone XR and an iPad Pro. Highly incompetent staff. We ordered online for pick up and the following day we find out they sold the same phone we ordered to a physical in store customer. I needed that phone for work and because of this incompetency I had lost of income for the day. We tried rectifying this with Verizon customer service and they even called this actual store and got the manager on the other line. This guy snapped at us and told us he didn't care if he sold the phone to someone else and hung up. Also we went here for the same phone a month before (iphone 11 pro max) and the staff told us our final due was over $200. DO NOT go there to purchase your phone. Order it online. I may not have been the most pleasant walking through the door, but within minutes Eric turned my mood around. He listened, he understood, he reacted positively. He gave me the exact service that I deserved and lacked from my previous provider. I will add that Eric was the only rep in the store, not sure if that is the nature of this location (given the previous reviews), or if it's because I came in on a Sunday. Nonetheless, Eric spoke to each person and apologized for the delay. I would definitely come back, even if that means I have a longer wait than I a hoping for. Good service trumps lines for me. I wanted to upgrade my iPhone to the 12 pro max. Larry told me I could upgrade to the 256 gb model, but that I would be required to also purchase a ~$160 add-on package consisting of a phone case, wall charger, screen protector, and portable battery. I said no I want to buy the phone alone. He told me I could not do that at this store, and would be required to get the add-on package. He then told me that the phone is sold out most places so this would be one of my only options. I ended up leaving and going to bestbuy where I was able to buy the iPhone by itself. Nice try Larry... I hope the commission is worth making the Crenshaw community pay a surplus. read more
