You walk in and there's two entirely different service desks on different ends of the store, no idea which one to go to for what, no one greets you, no place to get a number or join a Queue. I spent over an hour at this location on February 24th to assist my 85 year old parents upgrade to iPhones. They already had one Verizon account and I wanted to move my father from Cricket to Verizon. (IF THE PRICE WAS RIGHT). After an hour of reviewing the device specs and Verizon programs we finalized on the two new iPhones and adding one line to the account. We were satisfied when we left as the monthly bill was stated to be $115 for the two lines. One month later, I received a bill for $300.00 for the change over fee from Cricket which was never disclosed during the entire time we were there. I, myself have an iPhone on T-Mobile. I might have chosen to bring my father's phone to my carrier - however I was denied the opportunity to make a wise consumer decision as I was given gross misinformation from the Verizon Sales Staff. Today my parents went to the store and were told they have to pay the $300 and agree to an increase of $136 per month if they wanted to keep their phones. This is clearly a case of taking advantage of the elderly. It's quite despicable. read more

It was very busy at the store when I arrived I signed in at the kiosk, I was 7th. But was later bumped to 8th when a manager, Mario came over and spoke to the employee at the entrance. It was very quiet with no music playing, all of a sudden Mario turned the music up way too loud in front of me, I had a headache, my daughter asked him if it could be turned down. He said no then walked away, where he then turned the music up higher on that part of the store. My daughter then asked if they have accommodations for ADA. He said go to Walmart. I was very disappointed by his behavior as the manager. The gentleman who ended up assisting me was very kind and helpful. read more

I usually hate phone stores. I'm so tired of the upsells and hidden threats ("if you don't buy the insurance and it breaks you will have to pay $$$$$ but you know that's up to you..."). Then when something breaks or malfunctions they almost do gymnastics to avoid helping you. Y'all know what I mean. Anyway...: this place wasn't like that. They actually helped me. They were efficient even though the solution turned out to be complicated and not a typical "fix". I am impressed. It would actually be worth my time to drive a long way to get to this store instead of going to one that is closer but is a typical place where the workers walk around glassy eyed and practice coming up with new ways to tell people "no". read more

I'm from out of town and I screwed around with my phone last night and stupidly signed up with V*s*ble - which claims to be an off shoot of regular Verizon- but much cheaper. Well, let me tell you- it's almost a scam unless you are very tech savvy. I'm no slouch but as I had a few questions ( seeing as all my calls were going to voicemail and I couldn't call out!! All I can say is customer service is much more important than price. Couldn't get a real human response. It said I was a customer and I ported my own number over but the FAQ was a waste and NO PHONE NUMBER OR PHYSICAL STORE made it terribly annoying. I went to the Verizon store on Merritt Island and was surprised and very pleased at the service I received from the employee ELBY. He was a rockstar! I lost my old phone number but we signed me up with Verizon again and I got the cheaper bill I needed to stay with this company. You get what you pay for. Don't switch!! ELBY wasn't pushy or trying to get me to come back- it was my decision, as my husband and home internet hadn't changed. I'm not moving to another firm again just to save a few coins. I don't know what other people's experiences are here but I was more than pleased- even better service than back home . I highly recommend going to see ELBY if you ever want to change from Verizon. You will find it won't be worth the trouble. Stick with your Verizon and if you think it's expensive- the aggravation you will suffer switching to an unproven company will make you realize, as I did, it's better to stick with a name brand carrier than try to change. read more

I can definitely recommend this Verizon store. Specifically, the store manager, Daniel Careda, and Specialist, AB (Eiby) Espinoza. I have been a Verizon personal and business customer for 25 years and the staff at this store saved a customer from switching phone carriers yesterday. My advice is if you are considering leaving Verizon or selecting them as your cellular carrier is to go directly to the store first. Do not attempt to use the customer service number, even if you have a business account. Over the last three months I have been given incorrect information by phone representatives and experienced dishonest approaches to decreasing my bill or processing an upgrade. If you are a an existing Verizon customer, absolutely ignore the offers placed on FaceBook. They are misleading and do not specify that they are for new customers. Make the time to go into the store and see trained and qualified staff like Daniel and AB (Eiby). read more

Spent over two hours with three different representatives over the phone and one in store that couldn't help at all. This is my experience with this store twice in recent years. I bought a low-end smart phone from them a few years ago. The man who helped me transfer my information grew an attitude when I couldn't remember the password to my gmail account (I never use it). He told me (in a snarky, dismissive voice) to choose a password that I could remember this time. I figured, at that point, when he sat back in his chair and started playing with his own phone, that I was becoming a "good-riddance" type of customer. I recently bought another phone (a Motorola) off Amazon and had trouble transferring all my stuff over from the old phone (a Samsung). I walked into the Verizon store asking for help. A rep spent about 10 minutes with me, giving me advice on how to download my stuff ("You'll need to contact tech support"). Most of the time, he all but scolded me for buying a "Third party phone." The attitude was, "Well, what can you expect?" Several days later, after being unsuccessful with tech support and fixing my main problem on my own (I didn't have the ability to receive texts), I drove to Satellite Beach to a Verizon contractor and the young woman there (all of 20?) took about 15 minutes to set up and transfer everything from my old phone to my new one. She saw within the first minute that I had an old sim card and that was the source of the problem of not receiving texts. You'd think Verizon Corporate and Verizon tech support would have known to ask that first, as well? Satellite Beach is quite a bit further to drive, but their attitude still matched mine: "I'm still a Verizon customer, even if I didn't buy a phone from them!" I'll take the time to drive a bit further for excellent customer service - which is what I did NOT receive the couple times I went to the Merritt Island store. read more

My experience at this location was very different than the earlier Yelpers. The most recent review is 11 months old, so perhaps Verizon has turned-around the performance at this location. I was very pleased with the courtesy and efficient customer service and technical assistance I received this morning from Dom. While i was there, I observed the Manager and the other Reps all engaged with customers who we receiving the help they needed. As people came into the store, they were greeted and placed in the queue. As I entered the store, I was immediately greeted by Dom who promptly took care of my issue. I was porting an AT&T iPhone to an existing Verizon Family Plan and new iPhone 7. Not the easiest transaction to manage, but Dom handled it efficiently. He informed me about some promotions, but didn't hard sell me. Once he realized I just wanted the iPhone, he never mentioned it further. He even gave me a tip on a Hot Dog joint in Melbourne. Based upon my experience, I recommend this Verizon location. Give 'em a try. read more

I came in an hour and a half before they were closing to get a brand new phone. The employees were all super super super nice and funny. They were very helpful and kept me informed on prices and what I would be paying. This was by far, my favorite Verizon and I have been to a lot. read more

Big Liars at this store, especially the lady from India that works there and Kevin, the manager. She told me if I signed up for a $11 per month phone replacement plan, I would get a lost, stolen or damaged phone replaced free of charge. Both me and my son vouch to what was promised that day. Found out there is a $200 deductible (conveniently not mentioned). I am currently picketing in front of their store because I dont take lightly being lied to. read more

I brought the necessary paperwork and...I kid you not...the rep I was working with wanted to charge me the cancellation fee because it was before the 2 year contract was up. I looked over to her supervisor and just dead faced stared at him. He told the rep to "waive the fee this time". Are you for real?!?! The man just died and you morons wanted to charge a cancellation fee?!?! Thankfully the corporate policy is to waive all fees and terminate contracts but these yahoos made it sound like it was a "one time courtesy". Wow. *smdh* read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had upgrading cell phones!! My husband and I ordered upgraded cell phones for xmas presents and had them sent to the Merritt Island store so that they would not be shipped to our home. We received an email on Sunday that we had one day to pick them up. ( Apparently, according to the email we received, we had only 1 day to do this) Once, I saw the email the next day, my order was canceled. This triggered a nightmare of phone calls to varied departments with verizon to try to get the canceled order reordered with the same promo we had. 3 1/2 hours later (no kidding thank goodness I was off work!) I thought we were set, only to go into my verizon account online and it asks me for more security pic of DL to upload to account prior to completing the order. We did this (with continued issues) but got that rectified....okay yay are we finally going to get this order shipped?? Oh yes it was shipped, guess what??? The order is incorrect! It is now 10:00 PM we began this process at 1:00 PM today. I phoned customer service, they called back 7 times with a voicemail system only to hang up and I never was able to talk with anyone. Moral of this story, never have anything shipped to this store. I was told that the store is supposed to call or text the customer before canceling, we received not a word!! read more

I went to the Merritt Island Verizon store last year as my son had called and talked to them for me. I was to see Steve. I went to purchase a new phone and pay for it out right. I bought the Samsung S9 and it was $800. Steve said they had a promotion for a $300 rebate but it would be in the form of a $15 credit that would be applied to the bill which my son takes care of and I pay him. Well I lost my phone and went to the store to ask if the would help me find my phone seeing I don't have a computer as my phone is my computer. Steve again waited on me saying he couldn't help me find my phone. So being in panic mode as my phone is my life line to everyone and everything, I said I wanted to buy the cheapest phone they had. Well Steve proceeded to sell me a $350 phone, then a $250 phone and then finally the cheapest at $179. But telling me all the while that I would have to pay off my S9 which I thought I had paid for a year ago. But come to find out Steve is a coniver as I never see the bill and all a long I never got the rebate he promised. Plus when I bought the new phone I did not pay off the old phone like he lead me to believe. So happy was I when I found my S9! So I went to the Rockledge Verizon to have them help me turn my S9 back on. She advised me to go back to the corporate Merritt Island store and said if they wouldn't help me by wavering the $50 restocking fee to call customer service. So went to return the cheap phone and the manager would do nothing to help me as far as not charging me $40 activation fee or the $50 restocking and couldn't help me with $300 bebate. So I called customer service and they are crediting both activation & restocking fee and said I needed to talk to managers manager about $300 rebate as Steve needs to be held accountable! If you are still reading I would advise on going to the Rockledge Verizon as the lady there is super nice! Stay away from corporate Merritt Island and especially Steve! read more

Horrible in store customer service, They've got a scam working with the screen saver manufacturer. I purchased a brand new S10E and the Verizon tech installed the $45.00 lifetime warranty screen saver. Within 2 weeks the top corner of the screen saver began to bubble up. I went back to the Merritt Island Verizon store and the the representative told me to contact the screen saver manufacturer to get a replacement. What they don't tell you is Zagg the screen saver manufacturer charges you $8.00 to ship something that could fit in an envelope and cost a $1.00 to ship. So you go back to the Verizon and they'll install it they say as "courtesey" which seems odd since there the ones who screwed it up to start with. Instead of admitting there error they act like there doing you a favor putting it on. And a special shout out to Jason Silva who gets the worst Verizon customer service award. I'll be tracking down the local district manager to let him know that Jason should not be on the next Verizon commercial. I'd leave a negative star if they had one. read more

Went in with a new phone needing to be replaced under warranty (per Verizon tech support). The young lady had no clue and was trying to diagnose the phone and her suggestion was just turn off and not use the Bluetooth. I'm quite tech savvy and she obviously wasn't. She said the phone wasn't under warranty even though it was verified by Verizon. It don't start until you activate the phone not when you order it. If she didn't know what she was talking about she should have asked someone and I should of talked with the MGR. I left mad and called Verizon. They said yes it was under warranty and she didn't know what she was talking about. They sent me to the other store in Melbourne. Totally different experience and they were great. Took care of it right away. The other rep may be able to sell phones but she don't know how to deal with a customer and until she learns how she shouldn't trouble shoot.. The MGR should also hold some customer service training. I have been a Verizon customer for twenty years and I almost switched to AT&T because of this. If you can do everything on the phone with Verizon( their customer service is great) or if you need a store go to Melbourne. read more
