I needed to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy 10S because the battery was about to end it's life. I wanted the new Galaxy S22 because I heard the picture quality was better. When I arrived there were several people waiting so I was put on the wait list. I asked how long was the wait and the rep said I was fourth so approximately an hour. I decided to leave and get some lunch and requested the rep text me when I was next. As requested, the rep texted me when I was next and I returned promptly to the store. I was greeted by Seth and he has to be the most polite, knowledgeable and kind Verizon rep I've ever met. I let him know I was interested in the new Galaxy and he explained the plans and costs associated with the new plan. He even showed me other options. After going over the prices, plans and rebate. I changed my mind and decided on the new IPhone Max 13. My son has an iPhone 13 so now we can use the FaceTime and other features. Seth even found a $300 rebate plan to save me money! This was definitely the best experience I've ever had with a Verizon rep and office. I was extremely pleased with my purchase and loving my new iPhone with my son's help of course. I'm a pretty happy Verizon customer, however the service at this location is very poor. The team member that I spoke with talked at me like I didn't know anything (including when Apple releases new products). It honestly seemed like he didn't want me to upgrade based on his thorough explanation of how it was a bad idea and just kinda wanted me to leave. He also had incorrect information on upgrading and my eligibility for the trade-in promo. Meanwhile, my brother's experience on the same day for the same thing went off without a hitch in-store up in Michigan. Took me about 2 minutes when I got home online to figure out how to order my new phone and get the trade-in promo. Guess I'll just have to wait for my phone. My advice would be to take your time and drive the extra ten minutes to the store near Cornelius instead stopping by this one. Or try to figure it out online for yourself. This Verizon store is the most useless store in the area. I've been in there twice for the same issue and they are not friendly or helpful. Especially Shannon was very rude and condescending. While I was there a customer walked out of the store, Shannon made a face and mumbled under his breath when the customer left. Very disappointed in how the experience went. Used to be that Cell Phone providers would do anything they could to retain customers. No more but from what I read, it's pretty much true of all Cell Phone Companies. My wife's Cell Phone comes up for upgrade on Sept 8 which is one week from tomorrow. She has put up with dropped calls, intermittent reception, poor quality for months now to where the phone is almost useless. Would they go ahead and let her get a new one, one week early? No way under their new system. She's already had the phone replaced four times now since she got it two years ago and quality is no better. This Verizon just won't do! I'm at the end of my contract with AT&T and I was looking to switch to Verizon because my signal with AT&T in the lake area has been horrible. Customer service is usually the only thing a cell phone provider has to make them look good. They're selling a service more than a product and you'd think they'd take it in mind before patronizing customers. I went in here carrying a backpack and the first thing the associate said to me (in a condescending tone) was "Oh hey a backpack, did you just get out of school?" Maybe you shouldn't assume your potential customer is unable to get and pay for their own phone then go and try to sell them one. I was looking for a switch from the iPhone but I've realized the only thing that will fit my fancy in life is an iPhone from AT&T (because it uses a SIM card). This place has pretty much the same options, prices, gimmicks, etc. that any other phone service out there has. I was only going on the fact that I hear Verizon gets better service in the area. Even if I do sign up for Verizon, it won't be at this location. For that, it gets only 1 star...and a sad face. :( read more

Went to the Verizon Wireless store because I had bought a phone back a few months ago and had questions about how to use my phone with my car. The salesman Kim Jay Sites was amazing and helped me more than I've ever been helped. He took time to show me how to use my phone by going to my car and explaining all the detail. I was told by my car salesman that I was going to need a new phone, but Kim reassured me that I didn't and that the phone I had was good to use with my car. They will not help you unless you are post paid. I recently switched from Project fi to Verizon prepaid and am having signal issues and am unable to make outgoing calls. Josh at the Verizon store was supposed to help me, but all he did was bash their pre paid service and try to sell me on post paid. I came into the store with a problem with my phone and wasn't sure if someone would see me since I didn't have an appointment. Something had gone wrong with my Samsung S10 and my apps were all over the place after accidently adding a news app. I met Archie who knew I was very upset about the problem and went out of his way to help me. He informed me that it possibly was a virus/malware that I accidently added. He helped me with one of the technicians that handles this kind of situation as I thought I was going to have to buy a new phone. Cons: Wait time - although they have a lot of staff available, all who are busy. It's just a busy location. Pros: Great sales associates. Very good at showing you your options without pressuring you. Listened to my needs and catered to them. Richard was very helpful and amazingly nice. Stuart also helped us the next day and him and his team mate did everything they could for us to fix an error on an accessory bundle deal. When the issue couldn't be resolved (we were supposed to get $40 to spend through isis wallet for signing up with them). They called both companies customer support lines. When that failed they went ahead and credited our account so that they were true to their word. I've been in 3 times in the past week and have called customer service once. It is evident to me that the employees are focusing on meeting the individual needs of every customer and go above and beyond to do so. I am surprised to see so many negative reviews. read more

Although this place has improved overall in the past number of years, they're still not the best with their customer service. 1) Don't see Jason (bald with blonde beard), he will try to sell you beyond what you want and be annoying about it (unprofessional and sleazy vibes - he was also trying to get me to think our choices were outdated, even though we are consistently and steadfastly this way - meaning buying behind the latest things, and kept talking more directly to my mom whom he clearly thought he could swindle). 2) Because of this, I'm afraid to just walk in for service and want to make sure I make an appointment with a specific salesperson - but also wonder if there's anyone better. 3) Even the good salesperson, though professional, was moderately knowledgeable. It was just okay, in my opinion, as I had to take the whole day on my own setting up my phone and then had to return the next day. It was by chance that I was in this store in Feb 2011 on the same day iPhone 4 came to verizon. I was there to have my Palm Pre Plus replaced on warranty for the third time since April 2010 b/c of battery issues. The sales person was very helpful talking through my options. I could keep replacing Pre's until April 2012, but if I wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 4 and lose the device headaches I could just "add a line" to the family plan and buy the iPhone at the promotional price that same day. This "dummy line" would be attached to the dysfunctional Pre and my number would be moved from the Pre over to the new iPhone. I pay $200 for the iPhone and then $10/mo for the dummy line. Now this is the important part: the sales person told me the "dummy line" would only be active until the next time one of our devices was eligible for upgrade/renewal in Dec 2011. The sales person confirmed - twice - that I would only pay $10/mo for the "dummy line" for ten months making my total added cost to get an iPhone $300 rather than the $600 it would cost without any promotional discounts. I've just come from the store (which has since moved down the road, closer to the interstate) where (if memory serves) the same sales person told me that, no, the dummy line cannot be cancelled. In fact, it has to remain on our bill until Feb 2013! We do have one contracted line expiring April 2012 and I asked if the extra line could be cancelled at that time. No. Even though they created the dummy line and transferred my existing number to the iPhone to start a contract they refuse to move the dummy line to the expiring contract and remove it. Instead we would have to use the dummy line and cancel the number we have in use that is expiring. A gross and pointless inconvenience. I write this review for two reasons. One, I'm getting cheated to the tune of $140 b/c I was led to believe I'd pay $10/mo for 10 months and now it's going to be 24. But that $140 lie meant one more sale for this salesperson in February, and it's hardly worth going to court over so it will just pass gently into the night. The corporation will never really release the incentives that salespeople have to lie, but maybe the crowd can if we all learn from each other's experiences. The second is a more general observation about what sucks in the telecom industry. Verizon duped me by offering the superior device. A device they played no part in creating and which their crummy network does a weak job of enabling. 90% of the cool stuff my iPhone does it can only really do on a wifi network. Though verizon contributes 10% of the iPhone's functionality they collect 90% of the market value created by the device. That together with the massive inescapable contracts they make you sign gives them absolutely no incentive to seek excellence, or even be helpful to consumers. read more

Just went in to see about upgrading my phone and other devices. Have 5 devices in all. I was put on the waiting list and after 15 minutes walked out. I could tell it would be at least another 30-45 minutes before I got to talk with someone. I went up the road to AT&T (which opens an hour earlier each day), signed up for twice the GB per month and will spend $50.00 less each month. Plus AT&T has rollover minutes now. Went to the Verizon store to ask a question about my insurance and if it was covered under my policy. I had to wait 20 minutes while staff and management stood around and talked about previous customers about what they were doing and not helping other customers while they waited. I went up and asked if somebody was going to be with me. They said they were busy talking about my case which in fact they weren't. They were talking about previous customers. The employee got very mad at me and said I was being very rude and said he would not help me. The manager said that was fine and she looked at my policy said I had insurance and handed me a flyer. Funny -- when I checked the exact phone online I found it was $19. Worst part was that he flat out LIED about my account. Terrible store. After waiting for 15 minutes, a family came in and got service immediately while I waited for another 15 minutes before anyone acknowledge me. FINALLY, Brian came to help me and after I told him that Verizon had sent me a faulty refurbished phone and instead of having to claim insurance again I would just like to upgrade to the new Samsung S5. He seemed like he didn't care about my situation. He then told me that I had a pending sale on my account (which no one on my account upgrades expect me) and when I asked him what the sale was, he said that he couldn't. Then he told me that the sale was in VTO, so I looked up what VTO and the only thing I could see was Verizon in Mexico and Central America. So instead of checking to see if my account had been hacked into or tampered with, he just sent me on my way without a new phone which I was willing to pay $250 out of pocket for.
