I went to this Verizon location as a "leaving customer". We had four mobile lines out of which we transferred three to another service provider and cancelled the fourth line. As part of the transfer to the new provider we were offered a phone balance buyout which required documentation I failed to get from Verizon's website before transferring and canceling all our lines. Our account was deactivated and calling the tollfree number was useless, so we decided to go directly to this store in person. The staff was very friendly, and despite the fact that we were no longer paying customers, they took their time in researching and printing out a detailed bill for us to use with the new provider. I had to go back one more time and Brenda spent about 30-45 minutes helping me while assisting other (paying) customers with their needs. She was kind, courteous, professional, and incredibly helpful. Brenda eventually found documentation that would allow me to claim additional $400+ in savings with my new provider. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Brenda for her assistance and for providing some of most outstanding customer service I have ever seen. read more

Five stars is for customer service from Christian! From the moment that we walked in, he was very kind and helpful although he was helping someone else. We had a issue where customer service sent us into the store to pick up a new phone. Unfortunately, the phone was not available so we made a trip for no reason. He did every thing he could and made every effort to try to get us a new phone. Unfortunately our problem did not get resolved but we ended up leaving there with smiles on our faces rather than being upset. He was very knowledgeable, kind and caring. I would definitely like to visit this location again and ask for him if he is available. Kim also is very sweet, she had a great personality, which is very difficult to find at this time with the pandemic and people being short staffed. I came in the store today because I was having troubles with my phone. I told the worker that it's been over a month since I purchased it and he told me there's nothing he can do about it "we're not tech" he said. Upon walking inside he seemed like he wasn't in a good mood but thats no reason for you to not try and do your job. After I left, I called Verizon customer service and they were able to help me. A new phone was shipped to me, and I needed to trade in my old one, as well as have my info switched to the new one. I was there for 2 hours and the guy barely said any words to me at all. He didn't explain what he was doing or what the process was. After charging my credit card, I had to ask for a receipt because he didn't offer me one. After handing it to me, he just walked away. I asked if we were all done (to the back of his head) and he said, "yep" as he disappeared into the back. No one likes dealing with phone carriers and this guy is the reason why. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Honestly, I'd like a refund for the customer "service" that was provided. So, Verizon responded by NOT offering me a refund. That seems about right. My mom and I had the best experience with Brittany & Nicholas at this location on 11/12/22. They stayed an additional 45 mins after the store had closed to assist us with closing out my deceased dad's odd account and opened another account for my mom and got her a new phone with throughly explaining what they were doing the entire time. This meant a lot for us, especially me giving me a piece of mind that she would have a working phone since I'm from out of town. I don't even know where to begin with this review/story. I would give 0 stars if that was an option, and I rarely bother to give bad reviews. Simply because I don't want to harm businesses and I know that sometimes everyone had a bad or off day, making an expression be not so ideal. However EVERYONE I interacted with at this corporate verizon location had a slimy, swindling vibe to them compared to the other corporate verizon stores I've done business at. I like to do business at corporate stores as they typically provide a more solid customer service experience as well as have better deals when upgrading phones. Which is what we set out to do here. We traveled to this orlando site because my kiddo attend a school in Orlando and they needed a new phone too. We arrived with plenty of time to finish an upgrade, arriving at 3:00 with closing being at 6:00. They didn't allow us to look at phones much due to social distancing. They barely let us in the door despite a low amount of people in the store at our arrival. I found that strange but didn't think much about it at the time because I'm all about following social distancing and safe covid procedure. But I have to wonder if it's a group of people taking advantage of a situation to talk you into things that benefit them financially, pushing people into decisions without much information. I honestly should have just walked out and said we'd finish a deal online ourselves, but that was overwhelming for me as the app isn't completely user friendly either! Cody, who helped us talked my husband into a phone with an empty promise of a trading in an old phone, taking $600 off his new phone without even looking at the trade in phone. I paid for all the taxes on each phone, we left with 3 phones, as 3 were not released yet and would ship once they had. 1 of those being the phone for my husband. I was instructed to return later with the trade in phone. Which I did a week later, driving 2 hours to honor my end of the deal only to be told that phone didn't qualify as a trade in!!! So essentially I'd paid for a phone based on this$600 off that I was not not going to get. I was PISSED!!! There's more to this BS story that he did which I won't bore you with. I ended up cancelling the aforementioned phone and will never go to this site again! The manager, Jason, was dismissive and rude. Walking away from me miss sentence as I was speaking and trying to problem solve the aforementioned issue. These people practice sketchy business deals in order to make commission, hurting you through, and taking advantage. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I got a really good chick to work with me this last time I went in, but the lady that "greeted" me was asian and came off as a complete bitch. She asked me what I came in for as if I was a cattle in line - when I told her I was looking to replace my phone for a new one and am eligible for an upgrade but happy with my phone... she asked me what was wrong with it and I mentioned the back was shattered. She began to lecture me on how that would be an insurance claim, not an upgrade. Well, it doesn't really friggin' matter since 1) I didn't buy the insurance and 2) I'm eligible for a free damned phone ANYWAY whether mine is shattered or not. The other reviewers are not lying when they say the staff LOVES to argue with you. It always takes longer than it should and they ALWAYS try to screw people out of their unlimited plans - AND talk you out of your current plan into a cheaper plan that really benefits them more than you all the while trying to fake that they're trying to save you money. Whatever. Shut the hell up and give me my replacement phone, jerks. Two stars because the chick at the register was nice to me and laid off when we told her to about upselling and crap. Otherwise they'd have no stars if it was possible based off the asian chick and all the other asses that work there. Just left after helping my mother get a new $800 phone and the "salesperson" was an arrogant little punk. He started off with an arrogant attitude and progressed to defensive and argumentative when I disagreed with the necessity and value of the add ons he tried to sell my mother. I tried to get him to realize he was overstepping and he only further began to escalate. Thankfully I was able to control my temper and not physically escalate things myself. This is not one of those authorized dealers. It is a company owned store. I prefer the company store over those others. Came in to activate my newly purchased home solution on the unlimited plan. There was a bit of a wait but it was not as bad as I have seen at others. They check you in and you can browse the store while waiting to be helped. I like the fact they have the no line wait. After getting called up the agent was able to get my unit setup quickly and I was out the door. If you are in the need of any Verizon services this is one of the better stores I've been to. read more

Had a horrible experience here and left without buying anything, even though I've been waiting to come and get a new phone for weeks. From the moment we walked in the door, a young bald employee (his name might have been Alex?) was EXTREMELY rude to me and my parents. Condescending, and just plain rude, cutting off my mom when she was asking questions about our warranty. When we had a quick family discussion off to the side he came up and interrupted us and with Okay, What are you going to get?" with an attitude that was hurry up and buy something and get out. Ugh. Treated myself to a birthday present. Purchase the new S6. Had the S4 for a few years decided to upgrade. Great decision on my part. Love the phone. Only disappointment for me was giving my S4 back to them and having to buy the accessories for the new phone. I feel those items should have been free, considering how much I paid for the phone. Love the service but the store at this particular location is far from what the carrier has to offer. I was overcharged for phone upgrade comparing to the website quote I received directly from Verizon. I never received receipt that I requested and was told it will be emailed to me and available on the Verizon app... on top of all of that I was enrolled in services I explicitly declined and had to call corporate to deactivate and request credit on my account. I was there a couple of weeks ago with a friend who was updating her phone and we were helped by a very knowledgeable and gracious sales woman. Not only was the service excellent, the care they were taking for the health and safety of their staff and guests was extraordinary. We were in there close to 2 hrs and they controlled the number of guests coming in without ever rushing us through the transaction. Great experience! read more

so I don't normally review places but felt the need to do so now. I went in today needed help transferring my old phones contents to a new one. I was told by my very specific instructions by my dad who was currently at another Verizon In Jacksonville that all I needed to do was transfer the contents and someone else would be activating my phone from the location he was at. the lady I spoke to was incredibly rude and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. she said that Verizon doesnt do transfers anymore and haven't in 5 years, which was weird given that my dad was at a location that was saying something different. she kept insisting that my dad was wrong and that I was making things too complicate. I ended up leaving after feeling belittled and went to another location who helped me within the moment I got there. the workers there too shared how much complaints theyve gotten about the other location I had just come from. I know I didn't know too much about phones, but that gave no right for that lady to speak to me in the way she did. terrible customer service, better off going to another location. I was under the impression that Verizon is supposed to be the best. I came to this location in an attempt to buy my husband a Galaxy S4. I was met with "only AT&T has it right now". Um, I wouldn't send a customer someplace else, that is not good business. I would have said, "It comes in at the end of the month, may I reserve yours today?" I went in recently because I wanted to upgrade my phone - I'm always an "ask a million questions" type because I like to understand everything (& usually don't get it easily lol) - the service was amazing! I'm not sure who the other reviewers talked to but I chanced upon Regina on my visit. She helped me understand things in my account that were a little confusing, as well as helping me select the perfect phone. I was initially a bit worried about the different choices (size and functions), but she made sure to let me test the different models so I could get a feel for what I like. I've also talked to Brianna before in store. Also very nice! If you need to get any type of service, I suggest using one of these two ladies. Knowledgeable, sweet and professional! read more

I came in today to see what my options were in regards to a new phone since mine had just broke. My boyfriend and I walked in and the guy who is supposed to greet you and get you started on your questions lazily walks over and asks what my boyfriend needed. I made it very clear he just came with me but I'm the one that needed the new phone, that I'd be paying, and that it was my plan. He proceeded to not even look at me while I said this, continued to act as if I didnt exist, and just talked to my boyfriend again. My boyfriend was awkwardly trying to divert the man back to me since I was the one with questions and, obviously, the account itself. He then started to answer a couple of my questions (STANDARD, BASIC QUESTIONS) in a condescending way. He STILL had not made eye contact with me!! He would literally either look away with a side eye thing or just stare at my boyfriend. I was nothing but polite and I think he was just totally sexist or offended by my existence. My boyfriend and I walked out to discuss the payment options and both decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to the Verizon on university just so that guy wouldn't get a penny from us. The other location was AMAZING, best service ever. So all in all, this was THE worst experience and most rude sales person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. read more

just now Less than 2 weeks ago I bought a phone and a case for my husband. I specifically asked if I I could return the case without any issues and I was told there would be no problem.. I paid in cash... I walked in this morning to return a brand new phone case I had bought and they refused to give me the cash back. I was told they only had enough cash to make change from a Sale!!! How is that right??? It's not the customer's fault... So they only want to deal with cash when it's convenient for them. This is against their own policy. I tried calling corporate and nobody answered..I had no choice but to get the credit for my account.. if you ask the manager he'll say he gave me the option to come back later, then they MIGHT have cash then... I asked if I could come back another day and they said as long as it's with in the 14 days... What? How is that fair? He saw I was with my 1 year old... Sleeping from the doctors... Which by the way, as soon as I walked in with the return they of course started to talk to me about my account asking all sorts of questions... I explained I just got out of the doctors with my baby and I needed to go home.. This was such a terrible customer experience.. Very disappointed. read more

Went in yesterday and they told me about a promotion I qualified for. I specifically asked them if the promotion would work with my plan and they said yes. I went in today and spoke with the same person. We went 99% through the transaction, I had the new phone in hand and he was like "oh the promotion didn't work" THE PROMOTION IASKED ABOUT YESTERDAY. I asked if there was any way he could help me out after wasting all of that time and he offered nothing. I had them reverse the purchase and the manager had the audacity to say he would cover the re-stocking fee... Absolutely terrible management. Awful experience. The representative that "assisted" me clearly only cared about making the sale. Did not explain anything. Customer service is not something you'll receive in this location. Even the manager lacked in communication skills. I left the store with more questions than I entered with. I had to call the Verizon customer service line 3 times to get clarification on things that absolutely should have been explained in the store. I traded in 2 devices that were not processed correctly, causing more of a hassle than necessary. I've been a Verizon customer for over 10 years, and have never had an experience as bad as this one. read more

My daughter and I stopped in to purchase a new iPhone at the Waterford Lakes/Alafaya Trail location today and the Verizon employee that was available to help us could not have been more disinterested in assisting us. We definitely felt like we were burdening him just by being there. He was clearly irritated so I said to him, "I think we'll just go to another Verizon." He simply said, "okay" without any concern or asking why. We weren't there for 5 minutes before deciding to drive out to the Verizon at 419 & 50, where we had a much better experience. The two gentlemen there were very kind, friendly and helpful. We will continue to drive out to the 419 & 50 location going forward. We have several lines on a business plan. Honestly, this used to be a great place, but most of the great people left to either go to other stores, graduated and moved away or just plain quit. Most of the people that are left are either rude or incompetent minus maybe 1 or 2. When I went there to change to a blackberry, I was told a price 15 dollars higher then what my father was paying although it was in the book they gave me of prices exactly what I wanted. I was then told it was 10 dollars to transfer the numbers to my new phone and then when I said that in the last 5 years I've been coming here they used to do it for free, I was argued with that the main office has gotten strict on them and now makes them charge. When I said they were wrong and that was for pictures and media, another employee started arguing with me as well and then another that 3 employees were outright arguing with me, a customer, in front of a bunch of other customers. Later when I came back because my dad wanted to change his phone and we brought it up, the same guy who argued with me the first time said, oh it's free I thought he meant something else. Then I told him, it was no problem since I used my mac to do the transfer and that verizon should think of using mac. He snapped at me saying well we don't use Macs so we wouldn't know. Later I found out that was the manager. I will never go back there again, I now actually drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to another store if I ever need to. read more

When I continue to ask him questions if you going to get an attitude with me and just kept repeating that was not they could do. I have already been thinking about leaving Verizon and after this experience I am changing to a new provider. My experience was consistent with the others previously posted. I could write a novel on my experience but horrible, horrible customer service sums it up. Despite of this, I went ahead and upgraded my Iphone and changed to the plan they were pitching. While they were moving the contacts from one phone to the other, I reviewed the receipt and questioned a charge. The charge was for the retail price of the phone. The explanation was yes. that is the price if you make all of the payments. However, everybody upgrades so you won't end up paying that price. BS. I had them cancel the transaction. The employee who helped me, the one who came in late wearing leopard colored sunglasses, needed his managers help to complete the reversal. While he was helping, I overheard the manager state I would be charged a 10% restocking fee. I asked him to repeat what he said and he did. I told him he had lost his mind and I would not consider paying a restocking fee for a phone that is laying on the counter that I haven't even held in my hand. Needless to say I will not darken the door of this location again. read more

They told me I couldn't bring an unlocked iPhone over from T-Mobile, which is a complete lie. We have been with Verizon for years and purchased many phones and Bose Speakers and tablets, but when my Sr husband came in to transfer his phone and numbers to an old phone, the salesman just tried to push him off by telling how to do it himself.
