I switched carriers without much help from Verizon (Pearl Highlands) where I picked up a new phone. i paid Verizon about $30 extra to transfer data from the old to a new phone but it was a waste of money. The manager/Dana didn't switch over everything, and didn't even bother to make sure the phone's content had transferred completely. While at the store, I ended up calling Verizon for help with the transfer. Go figure. Nickel and dime. Horrible customer service. The manager doesn't seem to want to be there and is clearly tired of "helping" and "selling" phones. Avoid this location. read more

We came in first thing Sunday morning to move my boyfriends line from AT&T & on to my Verizon plan. Vanessa helped us get the line activated but AT&T made us jump through hoops to get his sim unlocked to officially transfer over. They ended up locking us out of his account for 24 hours and she gave us step by step instructions to get it over with her phone number in case we ran into problems. Well, we called the number and they said we needed to do another run around with AT&T even though his phone was already unlocked. Very disappointed in a business that serviced my business for more then 12 years. The service is no long what it use to be. Not only did I have a wireless. But (3) phones one jet pack, two ultra Apple Watch. Then I purchased a land line with Wi-Fi service. They have turned into sales first, and forget your existing customers. Very sad to see this carrier turn into 'who cares attitude. One thing my phones were getting only 2 bars on a 5G system. Their reasoning is, it maybe 2 bars, but it's stronger then the others carriers have 4 bars but we're stronger. Really?! Or is that just saying the services are not that good as before! It really sucks to see that they don't have the answers. Secondly, the expert business team member who sold me my land line and business phone to direct calls to the specific individual. Sold her products in October and still could not get it to work in January 2024! What! You don't know how it make it operate, but promised all the things it can and will do! Again very sad when they became a numbers first company and forget the rest! If you have a business I would highly avoid how they like to upsell everything, and tell you how good all their products are, If they cannot even get it to work through they're so called experts! Third, their Wi-Fi is weak! My office is in Pearl City. Very,very, weak. And if power goes out, Yes it won't work also when we had a recent power outage. I felt confident about Verizon 12 years ago with the coverage, the products, and the service. But like to ensure our community of yelpers not to make a bad decision based on how this company can mislead your options. I am not sure how correct this is, but was told this company did some internal changes and decisions that caused the bad service and passed it on as mediocre service at that. From the moment you walk in, the vibe wasn't welcoming or friendly. I understand every transaction or conversation you have with a customer rep is all commission. But what happened to teamwork. Today I came in to switch my line from Sprint, and my two other lines from T- Mobile I was lucky enough to get Michael who made this so smooth and easy. Michael was super knowledge and added every promo he could and discount based on my credentials. Michael made it where you could get the best out of it and not just set you up with the basics. Michael was very knowledgeable and knew all the steps and procedures to setting up my 3 lines. Michael was smooth with his work and very confident on his process. Noticed upon walking in, it was busy and each associate was already helping other customers. Despite how busy they were, someone immediately walked up to us to sign us in and explained we are #3 in line. How awesome, we can browse and not worry about losing our place in line. Most other Verizon "dealer" locations, do not have a sign in and you need to pay attention and speak up when it is your turn. Mike the Verizon "Solutions Specialist" approached us in no time ready to help us. Mike did exactly as his title specifies, he solved our problem without any hesitation. Been a customer for 20 years with Verizon. Of all the times I went to this store it was a Great customer service especially Christian, he is AWESOME! but...Went in this past Saturday to return the trade in phones. Michael had approached me for my concerns and I had explained to him my situation and that I'm returning my trade-in phones and it's past the 30 days mark and that I have contacted Verizon and they stated I still can turn them in but to make sure it's turned in by Saturday which I did. Michael first off was rude to me. Did not go out of his way to help me. He clicked a few buttons on his tablet and just said nope can't do it . It's not letting me let you return the phones. And that was it. He didn't even try an extra step to see if it's possible to return the phones. I did mention that verizon customer service said it was ok to still return the phone. He rudely kept saying no he can't do it. Never again I will go to him...never! Worse customer service ever. At the end of it all, I contacted Verizon again made a complaint about Michael and simple as that...they had help me and I can return my phone through mail without any problem. read more

I've been here a few times before but always browsed; today I had a first interaction with customer service and I will not be back. After browsing, I decided to see what my options were for an upgrade. I checked in and waited, not too long as there were only a few other customers. I have an older model of phone, but there is nothing wrong with it except the mute button, which is why I really only wanted to replace it. New phones are also too big for my liking. The long haired representative who helped me was rude and basically told me I was wrong for wanting so old of a model. He also told me false information to try and upgrade me. I left feeling badly and not wanting to return to this location. A few comments: 1. If you truly feel like the customer would be better off with a newer model, improve your bedside manner & validate the customer's choice: "Yes, that is an option for you, but you might be better off with this model because..." 2. If that model is as old and broken as the representative said it is, why is your store selling it. 3. That model works great for me still and the representative didn't even ask me how I use my phone (streaming, just phone calls, business etc), he just assumed everything. read more

The manager London has terrible customer service and won't do anything extra to help any customers or even potential customers. TMobile has a problem where the caller id name doesn't show properly calling to a Verizon number. TMobile did their checks as much as they could and verified all databases are updated properly. Verizon twitter support and TMobile stated one of our friends with Verizon service has to open a ticket with tech support. Instead of bothering our friends since the trouble is on the entire Verizon network (any verizon number shows the wrong name for our line) i went to the Verizon store to ask them to open a ticket with their corporate in house phone or the managers phone. I would make a test call showing that it does not work properly and for them to open a ticket to get it fixed with Verizon tech support. The manager London said nobody has complained about this problem though and I told her that's why I am here to complain about it. She then said "I don't have a problem with caller id so i won't waste my time on the phone with tech support. You have to get your friend to open a ticket." Just WOW! Really? We were even considering to change carriers because TMobile can't get the name fixed right on the Verizon network but why would we go to another company that doesn't go out of their way to fix their own problem? TMobile stores at least go out of the way to help their customers and would even give loaner phones if there were issues. Terrible customer service and a manager that won't waste her time on the phone with tech support because she doesn't have any problems herself. So the only way we can get our caller id name fixed is to inconvenience one of our friends to open a ticket. Maybe pigeon service is more reliable? Haha read more

Here's the kick! District manager Jeremy helped is out a lot giving us the deal. He went back to listen to the tapes and honored their agreement with us. He was truly helpful and amazing dealing with this situation. True professional. BUT!! We went to verizon pearl city and Landree assisted with the deal and we had the credit of $230. He was a great help although everyone stared us down and the lady manager on duty was rude! Her name started with an M and she had to be about 5"1. When my dad told her why hat we were there for she pulled up the account nots and rudely stated, "yah I can see that in the notes". Like really? You're the manager? It's like everyone knew what we were there for and no one was friendly except the guy helping us. Landree was amazing, the rest of them should be fired. I've never been to a place for customer service and people be so rude and disgusted with us... We're paying customers! J THEN!! Days After leaving the store we found out we were short a credit of $60. We had to call verizon to find out what happened and why we were short $60. When we called the lady said the notes clearly state the refund at $230, yet someone CHANGED our credit to be $60 less. The gentlemen Landree clearly repeated we were getting the $230 credit , yet someone went and changed it to short us! How disguising is this?? Verizon needs a better application process. My review is about Verizon Wireless service nationally, not necessarily about this location, although I can tell you I try to avoid this store when possible. The waiting is just too long. If you don't have a life though, go for it. I was completely incensed that I was not able to activate my pre-paid phone equipment to replace other existing equipment on my account. I purchased this phone more than one year ago and had already USED it on my number for several months until I was able to switch back to my XV6000. I called customer service I was given some lame excuse about how VW doesn't allow a pre-paid phone to be substituted for another number unless it's been on pre-pay for 6 months. My 75-year-old mother-in-law's phone, which I pay for, was stolen and I'm using this as a substitute so that she's not left without communication, and then I get this ridiculous response!!! I PAID for the equipment AND am PAYING FOR THE MONTHLY SERVICE. It's not like it's FREE!!! Whether VW gets it from me in a pre-paid form or monthly, YOU"RE STILL GETTING MY MONEY!!! I'm tired of VW's inability to give customer's what they want (like maybe better equipment). When I want to use a piece of equipment that I own, you say NO, that I must upgrade so you can continue to sell more of your ugly, feature deficit, equipment to the public. Garbage. They come off as nice and generous, but even if they're not busy, they'll sit there, not do their job and keep talking while making you wait for a representative that is somewhere in the back of the store. Even more so, the employees have such a hard on for their commission that they will literally do everything in their will power to screw you over on their bill. The lady who got me sat there elaborating to me how my purchase for a phone on the edge plan would be about 650 dollars, but it comes with all these free things since I had a ridiculous amount of Verizon points. So, she charged me for the phone, then charged me for all the "free" shit which ultimately made the 995 total. If you are part of Verizon and need a new phone because yours fell off the waterfall and the lifeproof case disproved it's own name brand, then go to another Verizon store. With that girl being as unintelligent as she was, for her to throw numbers in your face and make you distrust your phone carrier so much for allowing people like this to work in Verizon, I'm not surprised this entire store branch doesn't do the same thing. Horrible, horrible, horrible! The workers here were so lazy and rude. I came here to switch plans. First, I had a family share plan with my mom and wanted to get out from her plan and form a new plan with my husband. The person who helped us had no clue how to do this. Plus, he got my name wrong on the plan and he told us to call some number to set up our phones on our own. Well, long story short, my mom kept getting a bill with my phone number on it. Also, my voicemail wasn't working either. I went in again to the store and spoke with the manager. I told him how frustrated I was and the manager also told me to call some number again to set up my phone. Things still didn't work out. Finally, I went in a third time and the manager actually argued with me. I was so tired of the BS. Long story short, I went to Kahala Mall instead and the manager at the time named Sean was SUPERB! He took care of everything for me and fixed all the mistakes the Verizon store at Pearl Highlands made. Come to find out, the Pearl Highlands store didn't even tell me about some back up protection for my contact list. Jeff Castillo Rocks. Period. If I could write a review just for him, he'd get 5 stars. My mom and I had a horrible experience with a woman a week or so before (she's the reason I couldn't give more stars). We were trying to transfer the account into my name and it didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She kept having to go in the back and kept us waiting. She also had to call some other Verizon help line in order to figure out what was going on. She also wasn't wearing the usual Verizon shirt/uniform, so she kind of stuck out. Wasn't sure if she was a part of the team or not. Anyways, we thought everything was taken care of and that I would start receiving all the bills, but my parents got a bill and I got a bill. What the heck! So we went back in to the store. The person checking us in was going to have that same lady help us, but we insisted that we get someone else to help us. We totally lucked out and got to work with Jeff. He was able to explain everything and got everything set up the way it should have been. He has great customer service and I will be asking to work with him if I ever need to go back into the store. read more
