    Going up 2 Nd floor
    Gail U.

Our washing machine and dryer needed to be replaced. We no longer had the option of buying from Sears. We stopped at competitor HD and waited without assistance or employee around. After several minutes we left. Next we came to Best Buy. Store opened at 10 am so we entered once doors opened. I asked the closest employee, where do we find washers and dryers? She said go up the elevator and make a u-ey to the left. Hooray spotted a man sitting behind a desk. I by passed the stacked ones and started to see the features of one when Shaun appeared and asked if I had any questions. I asked him which one was most recommended with least amount of repairs. He said LG had the best record and was the one I was looking at. I asked about a dryer but none on floor. I checked on availability and wait time. Okay, let's do this. I signed up for the reward membership and their credit card because you can get $150 back plus take 18 months to pay. Hubs wanted me to take their Visa card instead but I rather build up my airline miles on purchases. Our washer and dryer bundle should arrive and be delivered on April 11. Never knew how important these appliances were. Guess I took them for granted cuz I use them daily. Very glad Shaun was so friendly, product knowledgeable, and processed the sale so quickly. I even purchased the 5 year warranty for the coverage.

Best Buy Aiea is across Waimalu Shopping Center and next to Harbor Center where Goodwill & Cutter Ford is. Open daily 10am - 9pm. I mosrly go there for computers, camera equipment,TV's & games. I've never bought any of their home appliances, but they have a quarter of the upstairs floor of selection. The store will price match their online prices so if you don't wanna order online, you can still purchase in the store showing them the online price to get the price lowered. If you do buy online, they conveniently have pickup ready in an hour if it's available in store. They can ship to store too. I grew up in Aiea so went there for many years (especially since Circuit City closed...yes decades ago lol) so I've seen how things have changed thru the years. Currently it's easy to find a helpful employee in whichever store section you're in. They can even ring you up from those sections instead of going to the front checkout. I'm in and out quickly, able to find what I need or ask someone to help, unless I need to make a bigger or Important choice then I'll spend more time seeing my options or asking questions. Geek Squad is another issue. It can be pretty hard to make an appointment online or by calling, I find it easier to just go in the store but if there's no availability you still gotta make an appointment. As for parking, there's a whole row of handicapped stalls that are never even close to full while most costumers circle around to the next row over. There's 3 curbside order stalls on the left and more parking. To me, it's easier to park on that side if there's no open stalls in the 1st row. There's also a bench outside under a tree for shade if you're waiting. There's a pretty good auto shop (Auto Repair of Hawaii) that does safety checks if you go straight back instead of turning into Best Buy's lot.

Shaun & Walter, the absolute BEST customer service in the business!

It's easy to go in & order items, but who do you turn to when shipping & delivery don't go as planned? Thankfully at the Aiea Best Buy, customer service went well beyond 5 star help. Living in Hawaii has its challenges of getting products but this group of guys made the impossible, possible. They showed us how to bundle big ticket items for the most value & several products to choose from to make our dream kitchen a reality. We can't thank the team enough for all the time & effort they put in to getting us the best deal with the soonest delivery. Huge Mahalos to John Collins, Walter Gouveia III, and Shaun Trinidad for the continued support & successful project completion. We will forever be grateful, stay loyal customers, & definitely recommend you to all our friends & family. Aloha

Always the spot for new tech!

Well... I wasn't expecting much when I went to check on my older, non working iPads. I scheduled the appointment and everything was business as usual. The guy at the desk was ok. Not overly inviting but not surly. Your typical tech type. It didn't take long for him to appraise my items as what he continued to references as "obsolete". Which I get is Apple terminology, but ok. So when I asked what my options were he plainly said, "Recycle it?". Not the diagnosis I was hoping for but I was also prepared for such news. When I asked him if they had any other options in store that I might be able to purchase, he very dryly offered, "They'll help you with that, over there." Ok. You have a computer in front of you, you don't wanna try and look... never mind. Ok. So maybe a solid C experience. It's fine. I came prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks so that my son could have a working iPad for his school assignments. So my wife and I walk towards the iPad, past a gaggle of workers just hanging out and talking. One even had his uniform shirt in his back pocket, but hey. I just assumed he was off! None the less, we walked clear across the store, exhibiting all the signs of people looking for something and yet got no help at all. Fine. Maybe they're all bound by their areas. I get that too. So we find the iPads, start inspecting them and the corresponding prices, and we see something we may be interested in. Mind you, we'd been thinking about this for months so we've seen options online but I always prefer going in store. 10 minutes of my wife and I conferring and we're now to the point where we are wondering if we can get some help! In the Apple department! I'm just saying.. if I worked in an electronics store, I'd definitely be vigilant of the area that has high priced, hot ticket items! Anyways, after my wife went to find us an associate, he finally came over. His demeanor was nice but his knowledge of available product was horrible! He was trying to tell us that the cheapest product was $100 more than one of the items on the floor. And when I asked if the display price was incorrect, he realized that there was a better option. At least he didn't try to convince us that it was wrong. He also showed us on his device the prices that were available online. Yet we were also able to find cheaper ones ourselves which he confirmed once again. It was a rough day. We ended up just not getting anything and just leaving disappointed. I normally only buy things on the second floor and they're normally good, but the first floor workers... man. So take from this share what you will, but all I can say was this was a wildly disheartening experience and it may be a long while before my family and I make it through there again. Thank god I don't Black Friday shop or I might be reeling. lol

    Pixel Watch 4
    Shy K.

I came in intending to make a purchase. Best buy is the only retailer that had the pixel watch for LTE in stock. Upon entering the store I asked an associate for assistance and she went and got Marcus. Marcus asked how could he help me and what product was I looking for? I politely responded that I am here for the pixel watch 4 LTE version and he said we do have it in stock and he'll be right back. Marcus checked me out and he also offered the extended warranty. But what surprised me was that he shook my hand and thanked me for my business. You do not see this happening often in many retailers or businesses. His customer service was already top notch but to thank me for my business and shake my hand pushed it over the top. This is the best service that I've ever received shopping at Best buy. Upon exiting, I asked the security guard if I could speak with a manager to express how satisfied I was with my visit today and to ensure that Marcus gets the appropriate feedback and recognition. The security guard simply stated to do a survey online which my receipt did not have. So this is my only form of expressing my gratitude and I hope that management does read these messages and celebrates their employees who truly make a difference.

Once going in I saw a great selection of appliances to the left and home furniture/tv to the right. The associates are very nice and helpful. Once I found the right sofa I found an associate (Chason) to help me order. He was super understanding and had so much patience. I purchased the Sofa and scheduled a delivery was super quick and easy! A month later we decided to replace some appliances in our kitchen since we redid the kitchen countertop and added a vent. Decided to take a look and met Chason again. He helped us find the right refrigerator, dishwasher and washer and dryer! Again great process nice fast and easy! The delivery team arrived approximately 40 minutes late without any notice or communication…read more Immediately upon arrival, the driver stated he was "not happy" and began arguing with me about the delivery before even making any meaningful attempt to move the refrigerator. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered upstairs into my home, and the stairs were clearly disclosed in the delivery instructions ahead of time. One of the delivery workers stated that the refrigerator could potentially be brought upstairs, but the driver refused to even attempt the delivery. The refrigerator was never removed from the dolly, lifted, repositioned, or properly assessed for delivery. The driver repeatedly stated he was not going to move it at all and left the refrigerator sitting in my garage. During the delivery, I contacted Island Movers customer service and spoke with an employee named Cece. I found her behavior extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, as she laughed during the phone call while I was trying to resolve the situation. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and concern shown throughout the entire ordeal. In an effort to help complete the delivery and eliminate liability concerns, I even offered to sign a waiver accepting responsibility for any possible damage to the refrigerator, floors, or property. Despite this, the driver still refused to make any attempt whatsoever to complete the delivery. I had to take time off work for this appointment, only for the delivery crew to essentially refuse service after arriving. The refrigerator is still sitting unusable in my garage due to their refusal to complete the delivery. I am extremely disappointed that Costco contracts with a company that operates in this manner.

I got tired, literally, and desperately cried for help but my husband was like,"Nah, do your work you so called homemaker. The clothes aren't gonna wash themselves." JK. He never said that and I never asked for help. I did some reflection and thought about how this is normal for some of our family in the P.I. In that moment, I felt grateful to even have owned a washing machine. I hand wash my delicates, but that's an occasional thing and this handwashing method for a volleyball team household size was becoming a thing. Not having a functioning washer taught me that I'm not cut out for third world country life. I really needed our washing machine to be replaced pronto. I've always loved the top loaders that had an agitator. It cleans so much better than the BS HE washers without 'em. I absolutely did not want another Maytag unless it was the 575, which has recently been discontinued and replaced with model MVWP585/MVWP586. I knew of Speed Queen because I've seen them before. I did research and my heart was set on getting one. I called another company that supposedly carries them to be told that they'd sell to me only if I had a laundromat (*fingers crossed* maybe in the future). Newtown was second on the list so I contacted them. It took many attempts to reach someone as their line was busy. When I finally got through, I spoke to Mabel. She told me they had ONE LEFT and it was the model I wanted (TC5). I asked if she could hold it for me, pulled out cash (I initially asked if I could write a check or pay w/a CC) and headed there in heavy westbound traffic to pay for it. Didn't bother with browsing the showroom, but it seemed like they had a good selection. Before collecting payment, Mabel showed me the Speed Queen and briefly went over the important stuff + gave me some tips. I don't have much to say about the delivery part besides that Carl did come within the specified time window. He was only able to drop it off downstairs. My husband and I carried it up ourselves. Carl did mention that he could've hauled our old one away but it wasn't ready. If I knew, I would've prepared it for him. From my understanding, they were no longer interested in carrying Speed Queen because the demand wasn't high while the shipping fees were. However, it sounded like they'd be willing to order it for you. It would cost ~ $2k If you want a Speed Queen, give them a call. Things may have changed since. 2 years with mine and I'm still happy as ever! Anyway, so glad to have had the privilege of working with this local, family-owned business.

I used the Yelp app to request a quote from the company since there were a lot of positive reviews. The company responded super quickly, despite it being on a Saturday morning and even offered to take a look at the fridge that day. We weren't able to have them come on that day and they offered to come on Sunday. Amazing. Sergey called before coming and came super promptly to our house. (At 8:10 a.m - was given the window between 8-11 am). He first diagnosed our random rattling sound as our ice maker (which has been frozen over for years). He proceeded to chip away at our ice and turned it off since we weren't using it anyway. I thought that was it and felt a little worried since I had doubts the cause of the rattling was solely due to the ice maker, but he then asked how long the rattling was happening (about a week) and then pulled the fridge out to check the back. He said it was our compressor and although the fridge would rattle, he said it would be about $1500 to change the part. Said it wouldn't affect the efficacy of the fridge so we opted to just live with the rattle. Charged only the $89 diagnostic price.
