Awful experience, the people are rude! They act like they care and they don't. We purchased a phone and the lady said I could return my phone with no wait a week later and that didn't happen. Young worker there is sarcastic and rude. Stay away and go to another store. They will try to upsell you on insurance and everything. They are worse than the reps at Verizon online! Can't believe my Dad made me drive 30 minutes to this store when I have a Verizon store around the corner from my house. Waited 40 minutes with 2 other customers in store to speak with someone. The guy who helped my parents was very good, and very patient! Smart phones are only as smart as their operator and my parents are kind of clueless. The gentleman who worked there offered for my mom to come back any time to learn how to use her phone. But being there 2 hours with hardly anybody there is just too long. read more

The best verizon store with the best service representatives especially Jerry. Recently, my wife and I visited the new Verizon location in Port Jeff, NY. We were met with a friendly employee, and were connected with Jerry. He sat down with us and explained out options and choices. He patiently answered all our questions. I tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure 100% since English isn't my first language. (Especially, helping me choose the right phones and plans. I felt like I was talking to my brother. So friendly and made me comfortable. I guess I like Jerry's professional service which is hard to find these days.) We left the verizon location with full confidence that we were making the right choice to move to Verizon and did in the right store, with Jerry's help. (There is other verizon store I hated so much, the one next to Starbuck, which I went for exact same reason prior to this store) Not All verizon store are same. I can confidentially say this store is the best one out of 4 different verizon stores I went recently for the same service. (I do research my options and I do shop around.) I highly recommend this location, and ask Jerry for superb and informative assistance. read more

Husband and I just went to buy new phones and Matt walked us through getting our upgraded phones for free through our Verizon app. When phones came in we set up an appointment to have them transfer from old to new and they took their time answering our silly questions. Today Chanel transferred my husbands and put the screen saver on,etc very professionally. Extremely happy with their service, patience and kindness. Horrible experience. I went there yesterday around 6:30 pm. I was told they couldn't take me since they close at 7:00 pm. But not to worry the special they are running will be all month. He even checked with another associate. I asked several times were they sure. I made an appointment for today at 4:00 pm. Today when I went there were all different associates. I asked for the special trade in price. They told me it ended yesterday. I explained what I was told the previous day. They looked at me like I had 10 heads. i asked to see a manager.I was told he was not there. I asked for manager contact info and was told we don't give it out. Bottom line the associates lied to me to get rid of me so they could leave early. Horrible, unprofessional liars. Don't trust this store. read more

This was the WORST sales experience I've ever had. I was trying to get my mom a new iPhone. We were waiting outside until an employee showed up 5 minutes after store's "opening" time. Barely acknowledged us & looked annoyed that we were there. It was like pulling teeth for him to tell us our options. He comes out with the newest iPhone and says this is the only one we've got. Ok, can we see it? No. I'll show you a store model phone. I tell him it's not turning on, he rolls his eyes at us and says yeah it's a dummy phone. Customer Service is key, and they have a great team on staff. The manager Elizabeth was hands on and they were patient. They answered all questions in reference to what the current deals are and ensured that we go the best price possible. I live almost an hour away and this place is worth the trip. In the past, I have done my upgrades over the phone but here I was extremely happy. Even when I came back for an issue they replaced with a new phone and explained to my 13 year old how to properly take care of their phone. I will always go back and recommend. read more

Abysmal service. I was told I can drop off my warranty exchange at any corporate store or authorized retailer. The manager and associates were extremely rude. I actually saw the associate laughing when I left because in the beginning I stated I didnt want to leave without putting my exchange phone in Verizon's possession. I swear this was the most demeaning experience I've had and I absolutely will be changing carriers the first opportunity I have. Kudos to my bank for agreeing with me that Verizion Wireless had no justification for billing me more than 6 months after I had closed my account. They did what spineless Verizon didn't have the guts to do. They refunded my money, charged it back to Verizion, and put a block on my account so that this larcenous company can't do it again. On my last visit, a woman who claimed to be the manager refused to help. But she unwittingly hurt Verizion. She printed out fake records that claimed a credit had been made to my account. Supposedly the credit was too much and that is why they stole money from me a month later. The only problem is, there is no record of that money having been paid into my account. I returned those falsified printouts to the store today. The woman wasn't there, or maybe she was hiding in the back. I spoke to a hipster who claimed to be the manager. Of course he deflected with more lies and tried to start up the "go through customer service" runaround again. He blatantly lied. I know this because he misspoke about events that happened on my previous visit, and he wasn't even there. Honestly folks, avoid Verizion Wireless. They charge twice as much as other companies who actually offer better service. I have excellent service with T-Mobile, and my cell phone bill is, on average, $70 lower each month. I can certainly think of a few things to spend an extra $840 per year on. It's funny that a while ago, Verizion actually had an ad campaign that tried to float the notion that simply because they are the most expensive cell service, it is proof somehow that it's worth the cost. They dropped that lead balloon pretty quickly. But it put the notion in my head to do some comparison shopping with their competitors. I need a shower to wash the slime of that place off me. I don't know how the people who work there manage to deal with it. read more

I explained to him that I wanted to port my number over from AT&T and he explained the process in detail and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. This is the worst Verizon I've been in. Went in to upgrade my daughter's phone. "Jorge" kept pushing transferring to the business account. Very annoying! Was there for over an hour. After he kept saying how it's going to be cheaper, stupid me, I switched. I specifically said as long as I can keep the amount of gigabytes I had on the personal one. He said it was no problem. Well it's been over two months now, and I'm still arguing with Verizon!! He was wrong, and I cannot get it back again. I was grandfathered in, and it's no longer available. Unbelievable!!! I have been here twice for phone issues that are no fault of my own. Both times I went to seek assistance with what was deemed a "hardware issue" by Verizon and Samsung. The manager has been nothing but surly, accusatory, rude , and condescending. After being provided three of the same phone with the same defect the manager was unwilling to attempt to call anyone within Verizon to advocate for me as other managers have done in the past, thus setting a precedence. While I understand and respect they have policies and procedures they must follow, the manager was unwilling to do anything more than spew what Verizon trained him to say. As per this store, the policies conveniently changed from when Verizon was willing to help long term customers that have ALWAYS paid their bills in full prior to the due date. Upon further investigation on my part, I was told by a supervisor at technical support that the policies the manager at Port Jefferson Station stated changed before 2015. Therefore, the policy was the same, however, no one was willing to assist me. I will go to Lake Grove from now on until all of my phones can be cancelled without penalty and we will switch to a different provider. read more
