    So we swapped to Verizon from T-Mobile. After six years of T-Mobile, they were not offering any bonuses or discounts for being a loyal customer. We needed some new phones, different programs as the kids are off at college. After doing some research, we decided to try T-Mobile. They were offering free phones with a 36 month contract. Also some services like Disney+, etc. We received the phones in the mail, and they had made some mistakes on what we ordered so we had to go into the office. Upon arrival, there was a man that greeted us and checked us and told us it would be a 20 minute wait. Waiting about 15 minutes, help us. He was very patient and helpful. He went above and beyond what we were actually trying to get done. He noticed there was a problem with the phone, so he took the time to redo all of the numbers we were bringing from T-Mobile. So it was pretty seamless transition. So far, we are very happy with Verizon.

I'm writing this review after visiting the store twice and waiting in store for over an hour again just to return equipment. Now they do offer appointments, but let me tell you that I have watched more than a few of those people check-in and wait a considerable amount of time beyond their appointment time to be seen, and this is another indicator that something needs to be fixed. The process here is broken, and quite apparently inefficient and not designed with customer experience in mind. The entirety of my transaction took 5 minutes and could have easily been processed numerous times during the hours I spent standing around. This was made even more apparent after watching all of the associates repeatedly wander the store, in and out the backroom, and stop to check in on the same customers standing around waiting for updates and data migrations to complete on their devices, all while there's a store full of customers waiting, many of whom are obviously there for the same reason as I. At one point a manager/leader approached me and mentioned I'd been waiting quite a while, so I explained what I needed to do and he made no offer to help expedite the process. The solution is simple. Keep a register open just for equipment returns and make a policy that anyone walking in with equipment be served in between walk-ins and appointments as associates are freed up.

The check-in process was straightforward, as I signed in on the kiosk iPad and was called when it was my turn. The staff provided excellent service during my visit, especially when returning a 14-year-old router modem after canceling my service, which was costing me $90 a month--clearly a wise decision to switch. I was reassured that the router would be reused elsewhere. Overall, a positive experience with friendly and efficient service at the store.

Tomorrow is Friday and I'd made arrangement AGAIN to be available in the 12 hour window they give you - and I got an email and text saying it had been rescheduled AGAIN this time for Saturday (I have plans on Saturday) and I know at this point the chances of them actually showing up are slim to zero so why cancel my plans for Saturday for nothing?! I called into the obnoxious AI call center AGAIN and finally got a real person after calling back 10 times. I cancelled the order because they can't get their act together. I know they don't care that they lost a $2000 sale - but it was a big deal TO ME. So, done with Best Buy - they lost a customer (and I buy for my company as well).

The person I spoke with told me to go ahead and purchase the battery online and said they would install it when I came in the next day. Great. That sounded easy enough. I drove across town expecting a quick install, only to be told once I arrived that they don't install batteries on my vehicle's make and model. That would have been extremely helpful information to share during the phone call before I made the trip and purchased the battery. On top of that, they also wanted to charge an additional $40 just to register the battery after installation, which was never mentioned beforehand and honestly felt excessive. Between the website not working, the incorrect guidance over the phone, the wasted trip across town, and the surprise extra charge, the experience felt pretty disorganized and frustrating. I'd strongly recommend calling somewhere else first if you need a battery installed.
