The store had the machine in stock, and I appreciated that an associate brought it out to my car for me. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there wasn't a display model available to see before purchasing, and the customer service was fairly average. So it's not the store, it's the 3rd party delivery contractors. They are a piece of crap and refuse to drop the fridge off in the house when I paid for delivery and install. They removed my old fridge and leaked water all over my new wood flooring and refused to go thru garage instead leaked water all the way to the front door. They said they needed to take the doors off the new one and removed it out of the box and left. They did not place in the kitchen like stated. The whole reason for placement in the small one story kitchen was because of back problems that I cannot simply lift. These guys called their manager which stated yes they can place in the kitchen and they simply left without doing so. I ordered a $2000+ treadmill and paid extra for installation. I made the appointment for delivery and assembly and they cancelled it ONE HOUR before they were scheduled to be there, after I got time off work, and moved furniture. They said they didn't have anyone who could assemble it. I had to call back into their stupid AI call center (OMG) and reschedule - which I did for the following Friday making SURE they would have skilled people to deliver and assemble. Tomorrow is Friday and I'd made arrangement AGAIN to be available in the 12 hour window they give you - and I got an email and text saying it had been rescheduled AGAIN this time for Saturday (I have plans on Saturday) and I know at this point the chances of them actually showing up are slim to zero so why cancel my plans for Saturday for nothing?! I called into the obnoxious AI call center AGAIN and finally got a real person after calling back 10 times. I cancelled the order because they can't get their act together. I know they don't care that they lost a $2000 sale - but it was a big deal TO ME. So, done with Best Buy - they lost a customer (and I buy for my company as well). read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We did curbside pickup for a 65" TV--I'm 9 months pregnant and was trying to avoid going inside. We checked in twice and waited 30 minutes with no updates before finally going in. When we got to customer service, there were two employees sitting there drawing on paper. They looked visibly annoyed that we interrupted them, didn't greet us, and definitely didn't apologize for the wait. After explaining our situation, they didn't show any concern or urgency. They just asked for my phone number, then told us to pull the car up to the curb... even though we were already parked in a clearly marked curbside pickup spot just a few feet away. We moved the car the few feet just to make things easier, but the entire experience was disappointing and frankly rude. We spent a lot of money and were treated like an inconvenience. We'll be avoiding Best Buy from now on. Definitely not how customers--especially in situations like ours--should be treated. read more

On Oct 18, 2025, we purchased a receiver from Best Buy in Reno and had great customer service from each employee we interacted with, especially the man (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, it was around lunchtime) working the online order pickup/return counter and Premium Designer Cody H. Cody took the time to answer our many questions in the store, then we made an appointment for him to visit our home to give us more advice regarding our home theater setup. He arrived on time for the appointment and helped us solve a receiver/speaker problem while explaining everything as he went along. We received better service and more information from Cody than we did three members of Best Buy's Geek Squad were hired to help us set up our home theater when we first moved. I'd recommend going to Cody first and explaining your theater needs and wants and allowing him to advise you. read more

Came in here and I hadn't realized that it's been years since I've been in bestbuy. It used to be my go to shop for electronics after circuit city closed down. They were plenty of staff to help, seemed like they were more staff than shoppers. Even with that much staff, we still had to search out someone to help us as they were all standing around talking to each other... The delivery guy picked the time for me, he said 8am I'm his first delivery. I'm at work at that time and needed to reschedule. So I have to wait yet another week. Then on week two of waiting, the driver calls me up at 8am and tells me I need to reschedule because no one showed up to work. WTF!!!! And then when I talked to the agent on the phone, they lied to me and tried to tell me that the tv I bought is in high demand and that's why I have to reschedule again. Went to the geek squad to have them diagnose and repair a solid state hard drive on my laptop. Paid $100 up front, only to have them come back the next day telling me the drive was bad. I asked what tools they used for the diagnosis and how long did they spend on it. Wishy washy answers with no detailed explanations. Talked with the manager and he was no help. BTW they have no real technicans on site and they tried to upsell me to their Level 2 service which was estimated to cost between $500 and $2,000. The Level 2 service is sent out , as this is beyond their capability. So if you have a real technical problem stay clear of Best Buy. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would, for the fact that the delivery drivers lied to me about customer service not being open, so I could inquire about the haul away for the old TV. I am sure they didn't want any confrontation. My sister and I went in to buy a TV, found an open box 65" Samsung, which was a phenomenal price. We requested to have it delivered and have the old TV hauled away. After spending quite some time trying to get the TV purchased and several screw-ups by the Best Buy employee, trying to get the TV rung up, and SEVERAL conversations asking if the guy was sure the old TV would be hauled away, and many times we were told yes, the old TV would be hauled away. The day came for the delivery, and of course, the old TV was not hauled away. Best Buy won't even make things right. This is why I can't stand going to Best Buy, but my sister has some friends and family rewards. I will never buy another thing at Best Buy. Horrible!!! I ordered a refrigerator from Best Buy and scheduled the delivery for last Saturday. It is for a rental property and I drove three hours round trip to be there. They didn't show. No call, no nothing. I tried to call the store and got a call center in Guatemala who then transferred me to a higher level. That higher level disconnected me immediately. If you like dealing with phone bots with an IQ of 20 then you are in business. On Sunday I called the store to find out what happened, and spoke to a human who told me they did not have the refrigerator in stock. I received a confirmation email on Friday with the window of time they would be arriving. Just pathetic!! I wasted my day on Saturday, paid for gas, is there a way to give minus stars. With this kind of customer service it is obvious they will be out of business sooner rather than later. I hate to write negative reviews, but Saturday was pretty upsetting. read more

Drove 25 minutes out of my way to buy a simple -- but necessary -- specific printer cable that the Best Buy web site reported as available at this store. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to help me find the thing (so much for the famous Best Buy customer service) , turns out the cable was not in stock after all, not surprising given the number of empty hooks in the accessory section. A store that can't get the small things right, probably is not going to do that well on the big things either. I'd really like to give them 5 stars. Because the staff are mostly knowledgeable and friendly. My computer died, thought I'd drop it off since I have a service contract with the Geek Squad. Ha ... no such thing. You need an appointment to drop off your device. Fortunately the front door guy checked to see if there was an opening at service. Fortunately there was. So my 10 year old computer needed a new processor ... cost as much as a new computer. But I just days before got a new iphone and new apple watch, did not want to buy another device. Service guy said I could get a reasonable computer for around $500 ... not so! (Well maybe a Dell) So I went looking at the computers and service guy was going to send a sales guy right over. 15 minutes later, I was thinking of leaving, but then I'd have no working computer. So I was looking around and saw a gaming computer on sale for $679. When sales guy finally got there, I explained that I am not a gamer, I use my computer for entertainment .. a little facebook, writing Yelp reviews, and I keep my checkbook on Quicken. He said no problem, this computer could do that and it had 1g of memory. Great. Why don't I show you what else we have ... two other more expensive computers with less memory .. What!!! No, I'll take the first one. If you sign up for their credit card you can pay it off in a year with no interest, plus you get 10% off. I said 10% off this sale .. he thought so. Not so, 10% off my next purchase with my new Best Buys only credit card, which will immediately go in to a drawer and not be used .. don't really want or need another credit card. So now I have a new computer and a broken computer. Can I just take it over to service and have them transfer my data. No .. of course, not. I need to make an appointment. They actually wanted me to leave the store and go online to make an appointment. This is when I'm really getting ticked off! Fortunately, my daughter was with me and she went over to the service desk and held my place in line .. as I was there already once about an hour before this event. A very nice technician explained it would take 3 days .. OK I'll wait three days. Can you transfer all my programs over .. oh no, we can't do that. We can transfer your files, etc. I just want to copy over my old version of Office. I use word once a month. Excel never, powerpoint years ago. No you can't even buy it .. you have to get the app and pay monthly ... well! I'd rather write with chalk on the sidewalk then to payd $25 a month to use what I already owned on my old computer. Somehow they managed to copy my old version of Office on the new computer, but Quicken totally not compatible and I didn't have my original license information. So I left my computer. It was ready the same night. But I had an appointment in 3 days or I can try to come in as a walk in to pick it up. I went online to change my appointment .. I got a cancelation notice for my original appointment, but no confirmation on the new one. So I thought I just try to walk in. When I got there they said I could wait as they already had 2 appointment for the time I arrived. Ironically one of those was actually me ... the appointment I never got a confirmation for. So I'm home getting used to my new computer. My MSN/Outlook email works fine .. but all I'm getting is advertising on my gmail account. Waited a couple of days and logged on to the Geek Squad from home. Took them an hour,but now I'm getting my gmail as well. So as I said, I'd love to give them 5 stars .. if just for the staff. We had recent interactions with this store and thought there might need to be a little more training. I am 80 years old and went in to purchase a tv mount for a 75" tv. A young man escorted me to the area and showed me the tv mount he believe it needed. So I told him I would like to purchase it and he started to walk away. I said, "this looks like it might be pretty heavy, can you help me with it. He told me to go get a cart, which I did. He loaded it into the car and when I went to the checkout stand. I checked out and asked for help loading it into my car. That part went very well. When i got it home my husband told me this tv mount was complete overkill for our tv. So I said I would take it back. This took some time as I had to wait for him to reload it in my car and he has been very busy preparing tax returns so we didn't get around to it very quickly. Upon finally getting it back to the store my husband went to the Customer Service desk and was told that since it was a day or two past the 2 weeks allowed for returns (which we apparently didn't consider) the employee told my husband that would have to purchase a $50 membership to allow us to get our refund for this very expensive tv mount. OMG, can you imagine Costco telling you this!!! Needless to say, my husband didn't want to try to argue this idiotic charge and bought the membership program and got his refund. He then tells me, this is ridiculous and we both agreed we would not walk into another Best Buy store, ever. read more

I went in for a screen protector for an iPhone 13 Pro Max and they did not have a single one. Plenty for the iPhone 14 and 15's, but they really should make an effort to keep them in stock for older models. Especially when I can hop on Amazon and get one in a day or two. I wasn't approached once while looking for the better part of 10 minutes, but I did see associates talking with each other. I bought a Brother Printer from Best Buy yesterday and purchased the Geek Squad protection plan. The printer wouldn't connect to my WiFi so I contacted support by text. We spent 20 minutes where I had to prove to the support agent that I even bought it and prove I bought the protection plan and support. Then I gave her the order number purchase amount and after all that run around she said well you can always return it or I can do a remote support ONLY but we charge you for that. After I gave her all pertinent information on proof of purchase and what I tried to trouble shoot the problem she never did ever even try to help solve my issue. DO NOT GET THE GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION PLAN. I am returning the printer today but I am dreading the experience I may have on the return. 12/3/21 I have recently (1-2 years) been back as a customer and today was the first time I noticed how GREAT your customer service program is. Quality/Quantity - More private labels than I would prefer. Got a new 4k HDMI cable - can you guess what I just bought? Atmosphere - Good, clean. Bathrooms available for the public in the back. Plenty of parking. Service - Wow. They must have a new service program. Plenty of employees, most of which were engaged. Gavin and Tony stood out - extremely patient as I am learning today's newest technology. Got a good education. Price - $14 and that is with using my $5 off loyalty coupon. Sadly, I had to stop by Walmart on the way back and noticed their regular price for the same item was only $11; guess $3 for GREAT service is worth it. Lastly, your "price match guarantee" is useless if the majority of your stuff is private label. I get that everyone can have different qualities, but you should match other private label merchandise. I want to feel like I got the best deal and not have to shop around... Or go to Walmart... Owner Suggestion - Great job with your customer service program; this is what will keep me coming back. Next time I will do some research before coming. Thanks and congrats for earning your 2004 Top 10 of "America's Most Generous Corporations" by Forbes.
