I went in to get a phone for my daughter . I was told the iPhone 14 was free with the new line and monthly charge of $40. When I received my bill , I was charged for the phone and the plan $80 a month . All lies . I have now spent two hours two occasions to have this adjusted . I ordered a pair of earbuds to be picked up at the Verizon store in Royersford using a Verizon issued gift card. The web order form gave the option to pick them up at the local store today or have them shipped to my home in a few days. I chose the store. I received notice that the order was processed and I went to the store to pick them up. I showed one of the counter staff the confirmation order and he left me to find the earbuds. He returned with a box that contained a set of head phones that clearly were not the item I ordered. This was the 1st red flag. He grunted, went to the back room to search for the earbuds only to return and state that there were none of this item in stock. OK, sometimes the web site doesn't match the store stock. I get it. When I asked when I could expect the item to be in the store he said he didn't know but I could cancel the order and try again. 2nd red flag. I told him that would be alright as long as he could confirm that the gift card I used for the purchase would be reinstated to allow for me to use it on the "new" order. Blank stare, 3rd red flag. After he told me that there was nothing he could do, he suggested that I call 611 and explain the issue to whomever and get it resolved that way. I asked him if he could help with the process since I knew the chances of me getting anything accomplished through customer support was near zero. I was then told that he would have to go through the same process as any other customer and that's just the way it is. Okay then, I can take a hint. This guy was not even the least bit interested in helping out a long time Verizon customer. Now here's the good part. By this time, we were joined by one of the other counter staff guys and he suggested that I simply cancel the order with Verizon for the earbuds and go to BestBuy because they have the same item. Wow! Too bad the person that pays this guy to represent Verizon and try to secure as much business as he can for the store didn't hear that. But then again, maybe this type of customer treatment is led from the top down? Now I have been in a sales position most of my 30+ career and I can assure you this kind of response and lack of support is addressed in the 1st couple of chapters in the how to succeed in sales training manuals. The saga continues but I can assure anyone that is still reading this that Mint Mobile is about to add 4 phone lines to their account base. read more

Walked into this Verizon store because I was having difficulty with my iPhone and an Internet connection. The representative on the floor was a tremendous help and even help me navigate iCloud photos relative to my iPhone end google photos relative to my friends android phone. Accidentally sent my phone through the wash and was having issues with figuring out how to restore the back up to an old phone, already had called tech support they told me to go to the store, went to get help, the male rep talked over me, interrupted me and kept quick answering my questions without letting me explain the entire issue. It was incredibly frustrating. Obviously I am aware of the COVID19 issue at this time and that Verizon like many other places is not functioning normally however I was trying to get my contacts, important work information, etc. back and like anyone was frustrated with the tech issues I was having. Regardless of whether they could help me or not the lack of customer service at this location was insulting,devoid of empathy, or any plan of action on how to fix it in the future or what could be done at the time. Would love to give a negative number. This was my second trip to this store. My first encounter was to swap my flip phone to and iPhone. Had been a Verizon customer for a very long time. Was paying way too much for a old contract. Was quoted a price of over twice what I was paying. Tried to negotiate a way to get a better deal. Salesperson went to manager and come back with a even higher price. Left store laughing. Verizon must think they are the only phone carrier in the business. My trip today was to get Fios service to my house. This was after speaking to Verizon on phone and told to go to this store by Patrica at Verizon. Went into store and no customers in store. Young lady at counter seemed eager to help. Asked if I was a Verizon customer and told her regretfully we had to leave over high prices after being with them for a long time. Asked me how long it been since I left them. Has been around six months. That eagerness went immediately went to an attitude. Told me that I could not order service or help since I was not a customer. What!!! I was in total disbelief are you kidding me. You can only get Fios if you are a cell customer. She then took a post-it it note and scribbles a phone number for a guy named ED. What is this some back door operation. Called Ed he said he floats from store to store and would not tell me where he was or was going to be. Very suspicious and somebody at Verizon needs to looks into this. No wonder store is empty. As I was sitting in my car calling ed the police showed up and was dealing with another person complaining. Spoke to officer in case he was there for me. Told me they are there often with customer complaints. Will never return to this store. read more

I went to Verizon Royersford on 11/9/19 to ask to set up my replacement phone through the Verizon insurance. I did not feel comfortable at all to attempt this on my own with the instructions that were provided. Kurt promptly greeted me to help and uploaded my new phone and wiped clean the old phone. Kurt has excellent customer service skills and is an asset to the Royersford Verizon store. I'm a long time Verizon customer and it's always been a great experience for me at the Royersford location. read more

I would give this store a negative rating if I could. Our malfunctioning iPhone needed to be replaced. We were advised that they had no idea when they could get us a replacement. Could be days or weeks. We contacted Verizon customer service via telephone and had a replacement phone the next day. We then took the phones back to the store and asked for assistance transferring info from the old to the new. They gave us instructions and said we'd have to do it ourselves. They no longer provide that service because they didn't have enough staff. Called customer service who called the store directly several times for us but no one answered. Buying a new car is a better experience than shopping here. This review is only about the store not Verizon itself because we all already know Verizon is garbage and a scam. The amount of junk they tried to sell us with the phone was unreal. It got so bad my girlfriend and I were laughing so hard I had to ask them to please just stop trying to sell me everything under the sun. I did buy a screen protector which made my touch screen unusable and when I took it back they said, "yeah it does that just got buy a cheap screen protector at best buy." So I said if you know its defective but sold it to me anyway I deserve my money back, they refused. Well, it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had but I will say it could have gone smoother. My mother and I have been Verizon customers for a long time and I'm happy to say I do not have to visit their stores frequently because we have few problems with our devices and service. I stopped in recently because it was time to upgrade my device. Right off the bat, I was told I couldn't upgrade because of a billing issue on the account. My rep told me we were still receiving one lump bill for our wireless service and home service packages (land line, internet, etc). He said this had been discontinued and we should have automatically started receiving separate bills, but for whatever reason it hadn't happened on our account. He said she had to give consent to unsubscribe from one-bill, and that he needed to speak with her directly. I haven't lived with my mom in a long time so I took him at his word, but I wasn't able to get a hold of her, so I was turned away - very irritating when you consider the only reason I can see to block an upgrade is to force action on the issue, and that we apparently needed to consent for something that should have automatically happened. I'm sure there are reasons that I'm just not aware of for requiring consent, but what annoyed me was that neither myself or my mother's husband were allowed to give that consent. I had to leave the store empty handed and come back another time. Long story short, after contacting my mother and working on the problem, I found out we had been unsubscribed from one bill for a while. My rep apologized for the problem, which doesn't replace my wasted time but was still nice of him to do. From there we proceeded with the upgrade and I bombarded him with questions about a variety of things. He answered all of them and was very knowledgeable, as I have known Verizon reps to be. I'm very happy with the service I received after clearing up the one bill mixup. I'm now the proud owner of a Droid Turbo 2 and hopefully there are no future issues with upgrading. I wish I could give three and a half stars because I think four is too generous for the amount of wasted time and phone tag I had to endure, but I also think three is too low considering the long history of good service I've had. Edit: I came back to mention that never was I told I could trade in my old device for any sort of store credit. Went to the store expecting to buy a new phone since my IPhone randomly died on me. After waiting for my turn the tech looked at my phone and told me it was probably just a known battery issue with the IPhone and it could be fixed for $30! He was right! I appreciate the fact that he was honest with me rather than just going ahead and having me buy a new phone, we all know other places would have just went for the sale! I always go to this location for service even though there are two closer stores because of the service you get there! The only reason it is tribe stars is because you do usually wait at least a half hour to be helped but once it is your turn they will take the time that is needed and not rush you! read more

Horrible customer service. This is the sadness of large corporation such as Verizon. I went to return my Nest, which I wasn't satisfied with and was told I could only get a store credit for buying something else. Because their policy is 14 days! Who can really decide on an appliance such as the Nest in 14 days?! The GM, Anthony Lademarrco had zero management skills and an even worse sense of what customer service is. I think it was his smugness that made things very combustible. When I asked if this is what customer service is, he said 'yes'. I have been with Verizon for many many years and you would think by now I would learn that Verizon has the WORST customer service when it comes to billing issues. If I could give Verizon a negative I would. I cancelled my service because I was moving out of state. When I called to cancel it the woman on the phone would not accept me saying " NO I DO NOT WANT TO BRING MY SERVICE WITH ME TO MY NEW LOCATION" as there was already service there. I guess she didn't like that so rather waiting the 4 days to have my service disconnected as I asked she shut it off right then and there. Then HELL broke loose. Not only did I have to spend 2 hours on the phone to get everything back on for the 4 days but new accounts were issued, i was being sent bills, kept paying them until I realized that I over paid. NOW TRY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!. After 4 months of fighting with them, being hung up on because their office is closing ( in the middle of already an hour talking to them) I think I get everything straightened out, I receive my refund only to be followed by another BILL!!!.. IDIOTS!!! I will never use them again.....I would write more but I have to call Verizon to fight this bill now. read more

Walked right in and within minutes I was helped by Jim (manger). I was having some major problems with my phone that I couldn't solve myself. After about 15 minutes Jim had solved the problem and I was on my way out. I recommend going to this store for either purchasing a phone or troubleshooting they were very knowledgeable. read more

I walked into the door at 930am to find 5 customers before us in line not being helped and only 1 employee helping. The customer service was very slow and they did not communicate with the customers to let them know their wait time, they just let them sit and wait until their turn. Incompetent sales associates who don't know any of the specs of the phone, give you inaccurate information on pricing of the accessories, then when we questioned the much higher price of the accessories, the associate said "Do you folks want the phone or not?" She gave my wife no help on setting up her new phone. Now she is having difficulty on setting it up and she needs it for work first thing in the morning. Sales associate only worried about moving onto next customer and taking our money. Didn't think Verizon Wireless customer service could get any worse until you go to Royersford, PA. Bought an iPhone 7. Upgraded from a Galaxy S7. Whoever did the trade in, never corrected the system information for the payment agreement. For three months I've now been paying for two phones while only having one phone on a device payment agreement. I've spent over 6 hours on the phone and still am being passed around from CSR to CSR and hung up on! I'm not sure who my clerk was the day I did this upgrade but he's screwed me out of over $120 AND six hours of my free time at this point. Beyond angry! read more

The customer service at this store is terrible. After a considerable wait, I spent another hour and a half at this store and walked out without a resolution. The person helping me was on the phones with Verizon customer service for the majority of the time and even passed the phone to phone to me few times. I went to the store to talk to a person, not to be on the phone. The store manager was rude and told me that the Verizon rep. on the phone "has no idea what he is talking about." Extremely frustrated, I drove to my next closest store (Pottstown) and not only was my issue resolved in about 20 minutes, but I was treated respectfully and politely. I'd recommend anyone stay away from this store, whatever extra time spent driving to a different store will be well worth it. I will never step foot in the Royersford store again. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing a phone I was tossed around and told so many lies, first I asked him to changed my address still hasn't been done after I asked him twice and he said he did it, then I told him I don't want to have to pay anymore for a device as I only wanted to switch mine over from one plan to the other he said it wouldn't be a problem yet I was stuck having to pay 700 to change my device over if I wanted that device or buy a new one, I was lied to so many times it was awful, to this day Verizon is still throwing me around in loopes when I ask questions, they also said there wouldn't be any charges to open get plan yet they where socked on my bill later if I could switch to another carrier I would but I would have to pay over 800 to get out of the plans, very disappointed in Verizon in general and this store can't wait to switch have carriers!! read more

The worst customer service I've received in years. My wife and I went in to get her a new phone. Only one customer in store. We were greeted immediately and told it would be a just a few minutes. After waiting almost 20 minutes another lady came and told us the the gentleman that will be helping us was writing a very important letter to management. (What ever happened to the customer comes first?). After waiting another 10 - 15 minutes a guy named Ryan came to help us. Apparently the first guy was still writing the email. He TRIED to explain the options to us which we could not understand. He was a very poor communicator. After about 10 minutes with him, we became frustrated and told him we would think about it. We then went to the King of Prussia AT &T store and got my wife a new phone as well as transferred the 2 accounts to AT & T. Rep there was knowlegeable and had great people skills.
