Case in point: I brought in an unlocked flip phone with an eSIM and was seeking to transfer her pre-existing AT&T service to the flip phone. I was told to wait a few months and to come back when that type phone was in stock. Wrong answer. I went in a second time and was told that the phone was not compatible with AT&T and to bring in a phone that is compatible. Upon researching further, the phone recommendations of that staff person were incorrect. Knowing that the phone in was indeed compatible with AT&T, I went in a third time and stood my ground. Finally, the staff person admitted that yes, service can be transferred to the flip phone, but he didn't know how to do it. He recommended that I go to the AT&T store in Middletown. Sure enough, I went, and got service activated on the phone with no problem. Although everyone was "nice" that does not make up for the ignorance and bald faced lying that took place over 3 visits. Shame on you AT&T for staffing your corporate stores with poorly trained people who only know how to sell.

The day after I bought my phone, my camera lens protector broke, and when I came in for a replacement, he was extremely helpful and had me in and out of the store in no time. Any time I visit again, I'm gonna be sitting and waiting for him to finish with other customers so I can get his services again. Thanks Smurf!

This Spectrum location is new. I had no idea. Previously I'd gone to the one on Hubbards, but it…read moreclosed, and this location is actually closer to home. My cable modem was giving me fits (and I don't mean "and the Tantrum" Fitz) (I hope at least one person gets that very poorly executed joke) and liked to reboot itself 2 or 28 times a day. After talking to Spectrum on the phone she advised me to swap it out. I'm no dummy, so I was out the door before before the call disconnected. When I arrived I signed in on the sign-in podium and wandered about while the one person ahead of me on the list was being taken care of. The place is new and shiny. It's very clean and brightly lit, and COVID precautions are in place everywhere, with signs to remind you to wear a mask to ample hand sanitizer to plexiglass dividers between service podiums. They have a nice waiting area with leather(ish) couches and a large-screen television. Less than five minutes after entering my name on the check-in pad my name was called and I went to the service podium to swap out my modem. The gentleman behind the counter asked my name and phone number, punched some keys, opened a closet, and handed me a new cable modem. Total time in store? Less than 10 minutes. Fast, easy, efficient, clean, bright, new, and easy to get to. It couldn't have been easier.
