I had a very unsettling experience at the Verizon near UVM. I went in to get help with a new phone and even before I could explain the problem, the older man working there, interrupted me and yelled that there would be a restocking fee. He also demanded to know where I had gotten the phone. When I tried to explain that I was an Verizon customer and had gotten an upgrade online, he was unprofessional and abrasive- cutting me off and shoving the box at me over the counter. He would not let me explain what I needed. I left and went to the Verizon in Williston and was helped in a calm and professional manner. The problem was solved within 15 minutes and the Verizon employee in Williston neither yelled, interrupted or shoved the box at me. read more

Been having issues with my phone foe about one month. Today the problem continued again this time they could not fix the issue no idea what could be the cause left me without a working phone. Took my phone to the outlet in essex junction and within 15 20 minutes the issue was fixed. Do not take your phone concerns to this store. read more

UPDATE/DETAILS: To make a long story short, they "lost" an iPhone that I turned in, in exchange for a new iPhone with Verizon as my new cellphone provider. Being trusting by nature, and in the process of recovering from a major surgery at that time, I got 'sloppy' in the transaction, and it has come back to bite. No way of tracking my old iPhone as the sales rep erased it as I sat there during the exchange from old to new phone. I left with the new iPhone and expected a 1,100 credit towards my iPhone and reduced monthly cellphone bills from Verizon. That credit never happened, and they claim no knowledge of the iPhone exchange. I would recommend that you AVOID this shop at ALL cost. IF you must do business with them, be sure to record your old iPhone's IMEI for tracking purposes; get everything in writing from sleazy salesmen; and keep your paperwork handy. PS- My son spent long hours with both Verizon and this authorized shop's manager. This has not resolved the problem, and no credit will be ever be given for my old phone or the trouble we've gone through with this company. Incompetence or theft? You decide. read more

I purchased a nice phone from Verizon for $206. I also purchased a screen saver and cover very nice and I was pleased with the phone except I thought the service was a bit high $80. I paid $229 initially and was told my monthly payments would start next month and would be 5.75 plus my service. To my surprise I got another bill in the mail for $139. Now this would cause me to pay $344 even before I started to pay for the phone. I did the math, I would pay $3,443 for the phone by 36 months. I took the phone back for a refund, when the salesman stopped subtracting, I owed the Verizon $50 for a box fee. He told me to keep the phone. read more

By far the worst cell phone experience I have ever had. The manager of this store lacks the knowledge and customer skills to be even close to effective. I spent an entire week without cell service because the manager did not know how to change my cell service provider from ATT to Verizon. After repeated trips to the store, sometimes sitting in the store up to two hours nothing was accomplished. Finally I had to go to ATT and they had to create a new SIM card, because the of the mess created by Verizon. Verizon should not be contracting with people who do not have the skills to run their business. It reflects poorly on them. This Verizon store generally has few customers, so maybe the word is getting out. If I had better reception at my home from ATT I never would have moved to Verizon. Please do not risk the care of your phone to this Verizon store. read more

I've had excellent experiences here with some of the longstanding reps. Just like any other field, the ability to see these guys 5 years after they open is how you find your "cell phone guy". I'd recommend Shaun, Travis, and Asad to any of my close friends, as they are each Verizon gurus and ethical. There are other sales reps here that are a bit pushy, but I think you'll find that in any business with green salesmen. These guys WILL go the extra mile to get the phone you want if you can't find the newest model anywhere else. That's where they shine. If you're trying to find an 8 year old phone or have it serviced here, you're probably put of luck. Not because they "suck" and are "uneducated" or are "shady", but because those phones are relics that have minimal support in ANY store on ANY carrier. You'd just have a struggle regardless is my point, hard to blame these guys for that. Again, I can't recommend Shaun, Asad, and Travis enough. All rock stars, and all of them are genuine people. If you've had any sales experience you know you don't buy the product, you buy the people, and these are three of the best. read more

There is a reason that this places has 2 stars (which is 2 too many in my eyes). My father went in the other day for help with his phone. The "salesman" he was working with was named Sam. My father needed help replacing his otter box case, which has a lifetime warranty. Sam argued with my father about the warranty on his case instead of taking the time to help him. When my father finally had enough and chose to leave the store, Sam yelled loudly across the room "if you don't like what we told you, go somewhere else". We will see how long this Verizon store stays in business with that type of customer service............ truly despicable and actually embarrassing for anyone that works there. Good luck Verizon! I have reached out to Verizon corporate for help with this issue and they have assured me that this type of behavior goes against their policy and will be handled accordingly. read more

Here's my experience, followed by my thoughts: I called this morning and spoke to rep, Rodney, and told him I'd like to get 2 iPhone 4s's for my daughters as a present for each. He told me I needed to come in to discuss....so I did. When I got there I found out that they didn't, in fact, have any iPhone 4's or 4s's in stock, and that it would take a day to get them. He told me he'd checked "everywhere" in Vermont and nobody had any in stock. That seemed strange to me so I told him I'd come back later. I went by the other Verizon Wireless store (in South Burlington, next to Petco) and found out that this store is "not a corporate store" so they don't have ties to other stores in the area. AND - this Verizon Wireless stores had plenty of the phones I wanted. So - my daughters get their gifts today. The other store has made me a huge fan - and I will NEVER go to this store again for anything even thought it's closer to home. Rodney was clearing looking to do what was right for him vs. helping me with my gift for my daughters. Stay Away from these guys - unprofessional in every way. read more

These people are worse than car sales people. I went in on the day that the i6 came out and the salesman showed me a droid the size of the i6plus and said "this is how big the new phone will be", never mentioning that there was a smaller i6. I ended up buying a 5S as I didn't want a big cell phone. Once I found out that there was a smaller i6, I had to go back and exchange the 5S for the i6. He also told me that a hot spot device that we had was out of date and that he would give me a new piece of equipment free of charge to improve service on that device. Lo and behold when our bill came in we now had a new hot spot line on our bill in addition to the old one that we already had. The corporate Verizon store in Staples Plaza often has a longer wait, but they have much more truthful employees. Don't use this store. read more

My husband and I purchased the new iPhone 6 last Friday. We also wanted to return the Myfi device they enthusiastically sold us a little over a year earlier. It was oversold and was not useful to us. My impression of Caleb our sales person was that he was knowledgable and slick when it came to sales and making it appear as if we would save money by changing up our plan. Well to do that he cut down our data from 8 gigs which is no longer available and now a week later we have reached our maximum usage and need to upgrade to 10 gigs. As far as helping us return the Myfi, yeah not so much. After being a loyal customer for 13 years I feel every plan and every program they have is directed toward sucking more money out of the customer. Avoid Verizon if you can. They stink. read more

Went in to get a cell phone upgrade and international plan (moving to ontario). Sales rep basically told me I'd save money by getting a canadian phone. And that I could suspend my phone for free (instead of being charged if done at their store) by going online to do it. Didn't spend a cent here, but the guy was friendly, honest and saved me money. My son went in to update his iphone. It took two weeks to get it and nobody called him when it came in. The sales rep told us how we could lower our bill by $50 per month but we would have to add a line and change our plan. He gave us a "free" hotspot for a computer for the extra line. Lies lies lies. He added another line and never changed our plan. My phone bill went up $175 the next month not down. Lies lies lies. After discussing it with the store manager, who I later found out was not the store manager at all, just another clerk, I demanded my money back and want them to cancel the line. I talked to the REAL verizon wireless and they were super helpful. They actually changed my plan to save me money, but could not help me with getting any money back. They said that Cellular Sales was an independent organization and I would have to deal with them. STAY AWAY from this store. Lies lies lies. read more

I had previously posted a negative review of this store and my salesperson after being told that I was getting 3 Gs free per month (for the 3 phones I bought) at a savings of $30/month (i.e. $720 for the 2-year contract), which never happened. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to contact my salesperson and store management, I finally got in touch with a manager at the Verizon corporate office. I got a plan that fit my needs at a fair price. They put me in touch with the salesperson and he apologized for the trouble I was put through. I get the impression that the Verizon corporate office has realized that they need to ensure that Verizon Cellular Sales offices are accountable to customers. I know that salespeople are under pressure to perform but not at the risk of their reputation or that of the store. I will upgrade this store to 3 stars ("A-OK") because my salesperson DID care that I had been inconvenienced. I wish him the best and am glad this issue has been resolved favorably for all concerned. read more

A salesman here outright lied to me about how the new iPhone's price saying there was a way that it was "basically free" and confused me with some super elaborate plan. I signed up for it instead of the iPhone SE that was in my budget and that I had planned to come in and buy. The company did NOTHING when I realized I'd been scammed and went back to return it. Within the last six months, I spent ONE HOUR inside this store talking to one employee, who purportedly showed me how to use my iPhone 4S when I am in Canada. It was uncomplicated. Now in Canada, my phone gets NO LOCAL SIGNAL. Dialing *228, which I was told to do, accomplished nothing. My phone is unusable here. I'm not only not impressed, I'm infuriated. (I also get ZERO cell service at home in Shelburne, no towers. So my $60+ a month is worthless unless I am traveling in the US. I will be in on Sunday or Monday to discuss this with the manager. No solution = no more customer. I'm not bound by any contract. read more

My husband purchased a smartphone from Cellular Sales of Vermont (a Verizon agent) located at 1270 Shelburne Road in South Burlington Vermont. My husband was told that the smartphone was on "back-order." The initial sales representative was very professional and knowledgeable. She went to great lengths to assist my husband in making his choice for a smartphone. When we returned to pick up his new phone, we encountered a very rude and unprofessional sales individual. He told my husband that unless he purchased a case at this location, he would be required to pay a fee to have his existing phone numbers transferred to his newly purchased device. When my husband mentioned that he had seen smartphone cases advertised by a large reputable online retailer for less money, the sales agent stated that most of those smartphone cases are stolen. Given this person's rude behavior, demand that we pay pay extra fees and his potentially libelous statement concerning an online retailer, my husband cancelled his order. Good thing he did as we were able to immediately purchase a smartphone at the Verizon location on Williston Road. Note: we have since learned that the Cellular Sales of Vermont location on Shelburne Road is not an actual Verizon corporate outlet, but rather an agent for Verizon. The folks at Verizon on Williston Road were great, no extra fees, no hassle and a lot of goodwill. We will go back to them for our future business read more
