My iPhone was close to death and I didn't have a car charger - and then happen to be driving right past here. Being a Verizon customer myself, I don't usually come inside Verizon stores or retailers unless it's to renew or something along those lines - but I needed a charger and not one that would break after a few uses like those third party brands tend to do. I knew I'd have to pay a few extra bucks, but it's worth it for the peace of mind. Inside was empty customer wise and very roomy as displays are only on the wall for the most part. I was greeted by Ethan, who was welcoming and accommodating to my need for a charger. The whole process was less than 5 minutes and very easy. Charger was of course good. Located next to a Starbucks, the lot is busy due to the drive-in line, so I'd recommend parking in one of the other lots and walking through. This business shares the land with other businesses, including a Shoprite which anchors the complex. Not much else to say other than if you have to go to a Verizon store/retailer, you can do a lot worse than here. read more

After reading mixed reviews I was both apprehensive and desperate. My phone was both hacked and needed a new one. The staff makes the business and Matt made this one for sure. Somehow walked out with their most expensive phone and feeling oddly good about it. Now that's a good salesman. read more

The customer service of this place is horrible. I went in to have my brand new phone to be looked at. They told me to take it back to where I bought it because they are NOT VERIZON, but Russell's!!! Really then why have Verizon an authorized dealer on your sign!!!! Well you know what Russell, I purchased my phone online and picked it up close to my work, however your store is only 15 minutes from where I live! I have 2 other lines that maybe if you guys had one ounce of business sense you could have had a New Customer! While I understand I didn't purchase the phone from you guys, the sales associate could have been some what helpful instead of just being rude! I stopped in with an iCloud/photo question and Jared was quite helpful and I walked out with a new phone because it was ok to replace mine, iPad ($200 and no monthly fee for internet)and a pre owned, free personal wi-fi hotspot (no monthly fee). The hotspot isn't working, so I will go back tomorrow. I am always satisfied at Verizon. I feel compelled to update this review. The "free" hotspot is not free. I am being charged. $10 month and can't get out of it for less than two years. It doesn't work. The iPad is old and slow and useless. Jared is actually fat And had food and coffee stains on his shirt and was playing loud music of his choice through the store's sound system. The monthly fee for the iPhone was never mentioned. This morning my sister and I came in at opening hoping to get a new iPhone. I had preordered one but changed my mind on which model I wanted. Unfortunately this store received a small shipment and only had one phone for the two of us. After being in helped by Brad, he told me to call later in the day to see if my phone arrived so we could figure something out. A manager from there ended up going to a different store to pick up the exact phone I wanted. I'm very impressed with the customer service I received today, and went from what I thought would be a disappointing experience, to an extremely happy experience here. read more

My visit was a huge disappointment, they charged me fees that were not disclosed (even told me some were not going to be charged and then they charged them anyway) and then denied other promises that were clearly made by them without any care at all. When I called for corporate help they were reluctant help because this is not a corporate store, but an independent retailer of Verizon. I would give negative stars If I could. There is a $20 fee to "set up" my phone? No one ever verbally disclosed this to me. I was also never told about the activation fee that was on my bill! This store is crooked and heartless. I should have listened to my brother who came here and was scammed into buying a "free" jetpack, which was on a yearly contract and was $ 10.00 a month! I felt pressured into buying a new phone because the representative insisted mine was broken. It turns out, my charging port had DUST in it. How these workers sleep at night I will never know. Wish I could give a zero star review! The handful of times I've been in, the employees have been nothing but rude, flippant, and, in general, disinterested. But the straw that broke the camel's back was the treatment of my father. Dad went into the store to see about replacing the belt clip for his Otter Box. He was sold a complete new box with the clip as the clips are not sold separately. When he told me about it, I let him know that Otter Box has an amazing warranty and would likely replace the clip at no charge. OB is, indeed sending him a new clip, so Dad tried to return the box that the store's employee sold to him and was told they wouldn't take it back. So, the employee was either ignorant as to the products they carry, or just wanted to take advantage of a senior citizen just to make a sale. Either way, STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!! read more

My son went to this store because his phone over heated and shut off. The sales person told him that his 12 month warranty just expired. He recommended that my son should pay off the balance on his present phone and buy a new one. I called Verizon directly and told them what he was told and the Customer Service rep said "that is not the way we do business". She said that he purchased the phone on Feb 15, 2017 so it WAS covered and they are sending a replacement asap! The Rep. said that we should deal directly with their corporate store in Rockaway and not a franchise store such as Sparta. read more

I don't know about these orther poor reviews but our experience was wonderful. Matt B was our sales person and he spent a great deal of time informing us and getting us every discount he could find. My husband and I were both buying phones and the iphone color he wanted was not in stock so he started calling around and letting him know that he could wait for a few days for it to come in or we could go to Jefferson, 15 minutes away where they had it in stock. Consider this your red warning - Stay away from this store; its not a real Verizon retailer, they have a passive scam going for themselves, and the employees don't know what they are doing. I don't know what it is with these Sussex County retailers...first off this store has a $20 gotcha fee for setup/sync of new devices, which is not even communicated or listed anywhere except on the bill when its time to pay for the device taxes. But this wasn't the real issue I had experienced. I wanted to purchase an iphone 7 plus (128 gb) for my wife. The communicated price by the sales person was $780 (which is currently $10 more than Verizon's price), and i was ok with that price. So the activation takes place - I inform him that I'll unbox and set up the phone at home. Me knowing the process .. I already know that I pay tax at the time of the device purchase. The invoice is handed to me after i had already paid.. and I'm billed $880 plus about $60.80 for taxes, and the $20 above. At this point I'm already upset about the $10 extra for the phone plus the $20 fee, but now why all the sudden is the phone an extra $100??? I informed the salesperson that the price he told me was $780! After a failed attempt to correct the price, he said he wasn't able to fix it. At that point, i wanted to just return the still-sealed iphone. He then informed me that there was a $35 restock fee and that the $20 setup/sync was not refundable. I was quietly livid at this point and questioned why I was being charged $55 to return an unopened iPhone which didn't even leave the store. The manager also was unable to provide a refund through normal means, but did refund the full amount (which I now need to confirm via the bank) I was charged after recognizing I was going to continue taking exception to their issue and escalating up his regional chain...and because they over charged me by $100 for the phone. I then needed to call verizon to have them transfer service back to the old phone and eliminate the $30 activation (which they did do.) This retailer's business practice is completely unacceptable - do not step foot into this store unless you want to get scammed!! read more

If I could give zero/negative stars I would. Worst customer service. I went in to explore changing plans, store representative told me about a new service. I agreed to the switch, then the service was suddenly "unavailable" at which point I said, then I don't want to switch plans. I was told it was too late and I couldn't be switched back to my original plan. I was also charged extra fees during the switch, which were on my next bill. When I asked for a refund, the store manager told me it would take 2-3 mo months to show up. (Seriously?) I left the store(for the 3rd time), called customer service, told my story, was instantly apologized to, and a full refund was credited to my account. Do not go to this store. read more

Zero rating...The store is deceitful, rude, thieves , scam artists...sold me a refurbished phone which was not told to me nor written on my receipt. Manager handles his problems by calling the police to leave the store, when he is confronted with the truth and doesn't want to give back your money...so I reported them to BBB and to Verizon Executive Relations...I was told to go to get my money back and return the phone...I did...the manager was rude again and started an argument where he accused me of knowing it was a refurbished phone...I was very upset ...He was notified by the district manager and corporate to give me my money back...I gave him my credit card, I saw him swipe it...but he wouldn't give me a receipt that showed the credit..I stayed there waiting for my receipt and he started calling the police because I would not leave until I received it. The police arrived...they said that the manager was going to send it via email. When I went home to check my email and credit card (I didn't have the phone to check since he took it) , I saw that he did not credit my account. HE IS A LIAR and CROOK. The police did not want my version of why I wouldn't leave the store..which I thought was unusual!!!! read more

We went to this store to check on prices of new plans because our phones were very old and on the brink of breaking. The store employees (Joey Almonte and the store manager) were very helpful and straightforward with us. They explained how the plans worked and how pricing was done. It actually turned out to be cheaper than what we were paying before. They were so friendly, they helped us find some particular ringtones we wanted and different features that they thought were useful. The manager also gave us multiple discounts on accessories because we bought three new phones. I asked if the store was associated with a previous retailer that just moved, and he said that it is now under completely new management and that he has been working there just recently as he moved up from North Carolina. The experience and customer service were excellent and would highly recommend. read more

I should have gone to a real verizon store and not a pop up store. I was desperate becuase my phone totally died mid work day, so i needed a new phone fast. The store isn't the most organized and i felt like I was buying a used car at times. They had only 1 charger for the 4 "sales' people to share, which we never got to even use and after a while, i just wanted to get out of the store. the "sales" kid sold me on only one phone, which was fine, i would have likely chosen that one anyway, but his (and the managers) overall knowledge was extremely lacking. He, sales kid, couldn't even assist me adding a work email, which i did, in less than 2 minutes and i'm far from a "technical" person. He also told me that he could update my data per month at no charge and that he could also get my bill significantly lower per month! who wouldn't do it!! well, he was full of it! my bill is actually $40 more a month than my original bill was months prior (yes, i know i had to BUY my phone as per the new verizon policies, but he told me it would be less even including my new phone). I also was not given an instruction or introduction to the features and perks of my new phone (s8+) but i watched videos online and will get the hang of it. i would not recommend going here at all. the extreme lack of knowledge and customer service was very off putting. OH, another thing, the "sales" guy had no clue what i was asking when asked if he knew how to assist with pairing my new device to my car blue tooth. Any other verizon store has always offered to assist in this.... stay away, go to rockaway and spend the extra time in the car, you will thank yourself in the long run. read more
