And then naturally lines form but this store doesn't take your name or anything like that, just helps the next random person even if that person just walked in and 2 others are just standing there. Just the worst experience I have had personally with a phone store. I guess they are usually locked in. I am thankful I had options.

A week later, they come to our door for an installation appointment that we never agreed to. I told the installer that we never agreed and he tried to walk by me to start the installation. I stopped him and told him to get off my property and all he did was smile at me. I asked if he understood me and he mumbled something and finally left. Do I need to call the police? The appointment was scheduled for Saturday between 12 and 4 pm. He said he would work on getting priority to move up service call. Surf called me back Thursday morning and said the technician would be here today between 12-4pm. Received call from Dougie at 11:45am saying he would be here in 15 minutes. Dougie was respectful of our home and made the needed repairs in about 1 1/2 hours outside on a very hot day. He did a professional job. Have had Surf for several years this was our first service issue. very happy with Surf.

When I got my first bill there was an extra charge of $5.00 a month that I did not agree to. They just tacked on an extra 60 bucks a year and called it some kind of BS service charge without my consent. Over all I can't complain about the Surf internet performance. Its been OK. Then along came Frontier. Surf agreed to meet Frontiers price so I kept Surf over Frontier, Surf agreed to match what Frontier was offering. My bill dropped about 20 bucks a month. I ask the rep from Frontier if customer service was in America. He said any problem will go directly through him. Long story short. Frontier has reps over seas. I called a number off the web and was connected to an over seas rep. Anytime I call Serf internet I am talking directly to someone from America and is within driving distance of my home. To me having a company that hires Americans will be worth the extra charge knowing that an American is working customer service for them. It is nice to talk to someone you can understand without some language issues. Don't get me started on Comcast ... :-) So glad that they are out of my life now that fiber is finally here in my hood. None of the ISP's are perfect and never will be. They have to keep their share holders happy. This is America... Deal with it, .. and be thankful that your have what you got and move on with life.

Frontier Communications is a good one for a Class Action Lawsuit…read more Frontier Communications is the worst internet and phone service provider in all of Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. Avoid Frontier Communications at all costs. Frontier Communications is not worth the time and aggravation. You will lose more money on trying to turn off your service. Be warned by this review. I need to turn off Frontier because a family member had to move into a nursing home. Leaving us with no choice but to turn off Frontier landline and internet bundle. You may as well bang your head on a wall while asking their Philippines customer service to cancel your service. The US service only reads liability statements and service offers to to detain you to remain a customer. In all they have taken over $500 of my parents money. In November they put the account on a vacation hold for 9 months. Then in January they removed the hold and are charging $111 per month. Jump forward. Now they have made me wait to officially close the. And will charge me another $100 because I will not be able to turn in an obsolete router. But wait, there's more. For a $27 credit on my account, they want me to stay as a customer longer and find a new customer who will take over the account! I am not paying this as there is no reason for it, the modem worked fine when sent back and they can turn around and give it to another customer,,, restocking fee my ass. I've had service for about 2 years now. Only the internet. No TV. I use my own Asus router…read more Comcast was giving me a very bad connection with 300+ pings and disconnects. Metronet is more stable with a low ping in the 50s or less. The install guy did a decent job he ran a CAT5 cable along the siding up into the addict. Though we needed another guy to come back out and put new ends on the cable. Service goes down about 2-3 times a day. Service people on the phone say it's losing power. Might be the power supply or the box outside. Then the service tech comes out and says it's your router because it's not metro-net's router. So this won't be resolved. I can't go back to Comcast, because it was worse than this. But I wish it was better.

Not to mention they installed my ONN box across the street from my house, on a telephone pole, in a way that made it protrude into the street. Vehicles would often sideswipe it and knock out my connection for WEEKS until a repair rep could get out. And they still billed me like I had internet the full month, despite the fact that I lost money since I work from home.
