I had a very informative session after talking to Frank. It sounds like corporate is shirking their obligations, and the local employees have to pick up the slack, which is unfair to their staff. The store is very clean, and based on my chat with Frank I would say that they pick the cream of the crop. To the people that leave negative reviews, I suggest you consider that honest folks won't bend or break directives just because you want to have a hissy fit in the store. The store is clean and well organized with seating. Plenty of parking that includes handicap and online pick-up as well. They have some great promotions when you switch service providers. Plenty of news phone you can choose to update from. A friendly, yet understaff team of associates that are willing to help, but they get outnumbered a lot due to more difficult issues with customer's phones or plans. They do have public restrooms. We were Verizon customers for 9+ years. We tried using this location 3-4x, and never got any type of helpful service. Always ended up having to go through a virtual call to get advice or our issues solved. On this latest visit- we were walking in for a simple thing. Needed to get an itemized print out of our final bill. After 9 years of service we had decided to go with another provider, as our price with Verizon had steadily gone up to $200 for two lines, where one line was entirely paid off. As you may know- you need a final bill to give to a new company who offers to pay off your remainder to switch. Verizon has made getting this near impossible if in the past you used the app and electronic billing. So without success, I hadn't gotten the bill via phone or online methods Forced to go to the store, I found myself back at this dreaded location. We got here and waited 25min before being greeted, or asked if we were wanting to be added to the wait list. Meanwhile, one client was being helped by 3 diff people. It's definitely possible they were training; but not a single person smiled, said hello, or even tried to let us know we'd be helped soon. Now 40min later, still haven't been helped. For a simple bill print out. A single guy was kind and spoke to us after the initial 25min, but he went back to his client. He seemed genuinely surprised we hadn't been helped. But unfortunately, I'm not. At the end I finally approached someone after being here for 50min and asked if we could just get the bill. He immediately stated he could def do that, and helped us out. So, thanks to that guy. But the miscommunication and/or lack of organization of the crew at this location is rough yall. read more

I've been here a couple of times over the years for various this and that. Always gotten solid service. (Last year I came to purchase a Samsung Edge 7....yes I turned to the darkside... but I'm still a Jedi like my father before me..... Recently I accompany an elderly friend who was buying a smart phone for the first time.) Our sales guy Steve was fantastic. He didn't talk down to my friend just because he still had a flip phone. He was incredibly thorough at explaining the various options that Verizon had. He then walked my friend through 4 different smart phone models and explained in detail what he was getting and how much his phone bill was going to be at the end of the month. He didn't try to sell us unnecessary accessories or push us to buy the more expensive phones. I was super impressed and next year when I'm up for an upgrade. 10/10 for this store and its employees. Specifically Tay, she was amazing! I've never seen someone with so much patience. We had a crazy time trying to get an online order/trade-in pushed through. This was a system issue, not something caused by the store or any of its employees. Tay worked for hours (literally) on the phone with every department under the sun, some of which didn't seem to be too kind to her when she was trying to explain the situation and find someone who could just help resolve the issue. We ended up leaving to run errands while she continued to get it sorted out. She was professional, positive and funny too, which resulted in a good experience that would have normally ended up in either the customer or employee giving up. Thanks Tay! read more

He walked us through each step of the process on our new phones, helped us find a discount that we didn't know we had. I dropped in recently to the Verizon Store in Woodstock. I've done business at this location as long as they have been open. The previous Customer Service was excellent. This visit, a brusque man at the door met me. He seemed pleasant enough, but immediately started telling me that they couldn't help me with my issue. I would have to contact the manufacturer. It is acceptable that is their policy, however this manager was bullying & blustering so it was offensive. He has NO idea how "manage" anyone. I own my own business so my compassion is for his employees! I decided to leave, but, then he sent me to speak with another associate. Hoping the associate would help, I explained my Dr Dre Beats had ceased functioning. This is the second time in less than 18 months. They have a one year warranty, but neither pair made it that far, despite my best care of them. The associate offered me the manufacturer contact information. he was police, courteous, friendly and yet he kept glancing at the manager as if he was uneasy. It is acceptable if they want me to contact the manufacturer, but Mr. Brusque & Blustering informed me he was the General Manager & simply flatly refused to help with no courtesy or polite apologies. Just rude, loud refusals to help. When I walked out he said, "I hope you have a good afternoon". My reply was quiet ... I would never frequent that particular store again because of his lack of customer service. He proceeded to lose his temper and SCREAM at me abusively. He wouldn't let me even complete my sentence. I stood there in shock that any professional would conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner. I glanced at his employees who were obviously seriously uncomfortable and their body language was the next thing to cowering. As I walked out, he was still screaming at me. I heard him halfway across the parking lot to my car. I will never use this store again. read more

Terrible customer service! Took a new device in that had already been processed by Verizon to pick up a new sim card, that per Verizon was at no additional cost. The rep not only charged an activation fee to the account, but added an additional line to a device that already had one! When it was brought to the reps attention we were told there was nothing they could do about it, WE had to call Verizon support to have it removed. It was their mistake at this location. Spoke with the manager (Gladdys) and all she had to say was the same thing, basically that it was our problem to fix....even though they made the mistake and it was immediately brought to their attention while still in the store. Pretty terrible customer service if you make a mistake and refuse to fix it. read more

Woodstock, GA store needs to screen potential employees better. I spent many, many hours this week trying to clear up fraud committed by an employee that did a manual override of security, so two iPhones could be bought on my elderly relatives phone line 167 miles away. This should NEVER have happened. And at first Verizon 'customer service' tried to convince me that they would be on the hook for the $2100 that their employee fraudulently charged to their account. Check your bills, and those of your elderly relatives to keep predatory charges off their bill. The Americus manager was awesome in doing everything she could do to help resolve it. But sitting in a Verizon store for over 4 1/2 hours to get it resolved was ridiculous. Besides my time, the absolute needless worry and anger it caused my family is inexcusable. I'm guessing this was not the first time it had happened it's this employee and I would hope this person is prosecuted to the full extent of the law, not just lose their job. read more

This place has the worst customer service! I would rather find another carrier than to walk through those doors again. It's obvious they have had no customer service training. I went in there for some help on my existing iPhone and ohhhh my gosh! What a pain it was for one of them to even speak to me. I tried explaining my phone issue but all I kept hearing was sorry don't know how to help you. Or just not attentive at all. Horrible place. Maybe they only want to deal with sales, for commission. The rest of us don't matter. Here's the deal; If they just would have been attentive and tried to act like they wanted to help, they wouldn't have missed out on their commission. I ended up buying a new iPhone from another Verizon store. It was worth the drive. Too bad for you at that store. I don't recommend this store at all. You will get better assistance elsewhere. *CAUTION* A scammer posing as an employee named Yale K tried to get me to give out my personal information after reading my review. Very well could be a store employee using a fake account. Bait and switch scam to get you in the door by annoying you with spam email for a free early upgrade to take your phone and charge you for the "free" one with contract pay off fees. I can wait three months and my contract is up to free me to choose a less shady carrier. I can also get a free phone from vzw online and sell my old one for a 2 year reup at this point. Stay out of this store, the sales people are slimy and dishonest, only wanting to seal up a deal. read more

Went here today trying to get a insurance replacement for my phone. The manager yelled at us and told us that they don't do that there and gave me a card with a number on it. Highly recommend not coming here. Not only that, but Verizon Corporate told us this as well after our experience. Went to this location as we wanted to leave Sprint since they merged with T-Mobil. Met with the associate there and he showed us the black Friday deal they had where if you port over your line you get a $300 rebate applicable to your bill and if you trade in your phone you get a credit for the phone. This all sounded great. We got the Start unlimited plan and traded in our phones and upgraded to new ones. a couple weeks passed and our bill was extremely high. turned out that our plan "SOMEHOW" got switch to the "Do More Unlimited". We got this all fixed through customer service over the phone which was Very difficult. Next we find out the rebate was not eligible for the original Start Unlimited Plan we had signed up for and were sold on by this associate. Went in the store(as instructed by customer service) and the associate was there working so we just went to the manager. This manager I believe his name is Manny took no responsibility for this fraudulent sale his associate had performed. He stated all he could do is run our issue up to customer service (Which we have been doing for weeks now) finally we called corporate and told them what had happened and we had proof of the sale and everything the associate sold us on. Verizon made it right and got us fixed up. DO NOT GO TO THIS VERIZON LOCATION. I would recommend audio recording your sales interactions as well and double check the screen before you sign the agreement for what you are purchasing (This is what we did). It's clear that the "manager" of this place is not trustworthy and extremely lacks any customer service skills or compassion. Not only that, but this was fraud. I can't even begin to talk about how frustrating my experience was today! I've been a Verizon customer for nearly two decades and have had family plans with 5 different lines on my account for most of this time. The last 3 times I've come to this location and dealt with all the, yet again, new employees, I've been told wrong information each time! I used to go to the Kennesaw store on Barrett Parkway and ONLY dealt with Donna - where did she go because she has to be one of the only honest people Verizon has hired. I upgraded my phone last year and in doing so I was tossed between staying on the new "Edge" plan or just buying the phone outright, however the sales associate THAT TIME, said "oh no, the Edge program is really the best program and definitely is worth it if you upgrade your phone every year." He said if it's in good condition, you turn your phone in and get the upgrade and continue to pay on the Edge plan. I had not done that the last couple of times which is why I was considering going back to the old way and buying the phone without this rip off payment plan of an Edge plan. Well, he convinced me to stay on it and just upgrade in a year. Might I say, he sold me the iPhone 6s plus so he knew what phone I was buying when he told me the benefits of the Edge plan. Now to today - I go into the store 13 months after my previous upgrade, thinking I was going to be able to upgrade to the next version, iPhone 7s but Nooooooo, I couldn't. According to Steve, in order for me to upgrade, I'd have to pay off the remainder of the phone, over $400, otherwise, my phone doesn't qualify for the upgrade. He said that would have worked had I had the 7s since the newest version out was the iPhone 8. WTH??? I've never heard of such a thing. I've always been able to upgrade to the next version, if that's what I wanted. What made it worse was the last sales person that helped me last year, knew EXACTLY what I was purchasing so why didn't he tell me I'd have to get the 7s if I wanted to be able to upgrade in a year??? I had a similar experience last year when we were upgrading my husband's Samsung phone too. I was told one thing - oh your price will be the same as what he's paying now and you'll get this discount back - lie, lie, lie. After 2 times back into the store to question what I was originally told, nothing changed - no discount back and the monthly payment was nearly $10/month more than what we paid before. Verizon - I don't know what you're doing but you're about to lose a loyal customer because of the quality of staff you hire that tell lies just to get your business. It's HORRIBLE!!! read more

Poor service, unfriendly and unhelpful. Do not go to this store! They did not even offer a suggestion for my problem but said my phone had pressure point damage. They said there was no way to prove it, but they could not have it looked at by a warranty technician either. It is well worth the drive to Alpharetta. My phone doesn't even have a scratch on it. I have been a customer for years now. Have always used this location due to it being a corporate store and employees always helpful. Not the case today. Ruben was the associate that was suppose to help us. He wouldn't pull my current account up and compare beside the new one I was looking at. Associate did this for me last time we renewed our contract with no problem. Instead he pulled out a piece of paper and wrote ball park figures. Then told him of issues having with wife's phone and he wouldn't accept that there might be an issue with her phone. This store has had the best employees until this one. I was, until a few days ago, a verizon customer for over 15 years. I thought that longevity  meant something. I was never late on my payment, never pitched a fit when my bill increased. Never caused any problems with Verizon. I was a loyal customer. About 10 days ago, I was forced to do a system update on my phone that was just shy of two years old. Right after that update, my charging capabilities  stopped working. My phone would not recognize that the charger was in the port. It would also shut down at around 25% charged, saying the battery was dead. My phone was in prestige condition, until  the software update.  I took it to a verizon store. The one located in Woodstock GA. I was told the best they could do was ship me a new phone that would arrive two days later. I explained that my phone wouldn't last two days, let alone through the end of the day, as it only charged to 13% over a 12 hour period over night.  I also explained that I was $96 from paying off my current phone and I was more than happy to buy a new phone, if they would just wave my $96 payoff fee. I was willing to give you more money for the next two years! All I asked them to do was wave that fee so that I could walk out the door with a phone that charged. I received no help what so ever. I left the verizon store with my same uncharged phone. I felt very neglected after 15 years of service. I took myself right across the street and signed up with At&t. So not only did Verizon  lose a very loyal customer, but they also lost several thousand dollars of service charges that would have accrued over the next few years. All over $96 whooping dollars. He is clear in communicating pros/cons of different phones and accessories and explained the differences between plans clearly as well. Pick another store. There's plenty around. To make a story short, went to Verizon to order two phones, they promised that the one would get shipped out to my mom. Did it happen? No. It sat there for four days...no one noticed and apparently no one cared enough to check or follow up. Spent four hours on the phone with corporate last night. They couldn't even figure out what the store had done because they didn't put it in the computer. They called the manager on call last night. He was rude, had an altercation with one of the supervisor's at corporate so they are filing a complaint against him. He was unpleasant to me, his customer. He could care less since it was 8:00 and he was closing the store. Management admitted fault and shipped the phone overnight today after I kept following up. Unbelievable is all I can say. It makes you wonder if they tell you just about anything to get commission. Do it online or go to another store. Corporate was great and helped me through everything and kept following up with the store again and again and the lady today even commented that the store did not act like they were very concerned to help me out.
