Joanie. Is. Amazing. I always enjoy how my skin looks for the month-or-so after a facial. But then it just goes back to being a blackhead-filled mess. My first time at Complexions I left the spa with glowing skin, a new cleanser, and a conviction that no matter how good it looked now, I wouldn't be able to keep it up on my own. How WRONG I was! The simple, straightforward routine that Joanie gave me - along with my dreamy new cleanser - has lead people to tell me I look years younger. It's been almost three months since my last appointment and though I can't wait for my next one, I am still just amazed at the improvement in clarity and glow-y-ness. I'll be booking Joanie the second I know my next Waitsfield dates!

The Doctor explained each treatment throughly, and made almost painless injections due to her steady hand and perfect placement. This was my first visit and I'm very impressed. At my previous Medical Spa, I would see the doctor very rarely, almost always being treated by a technician. Being treated by the doctor directly, in a calm, non-rushed manner was fantastic. The results are just what I was hoping for.

She took a lot of time to help me understand the procedure and allowed me time to ask all of my questions. I really appreciated her patience and diligence in educating me on the procedure. She also thoroughly explains procedures and answers questions with grace. She is also excellent at creating a calm and tranquil environment during her treatments. i have been going to Dr. Lucas for years, but sadly, i will have to find another dermatologist…read more 2 weeks ago i talked to her and the medical esthetician (Mary) about creating a skin regime (now that i'm 30) for me and i left with purchasing $250 worth of serums, creams and sunscreen. after trying all of them, the sunscreen did not work for me. it was like schmearing cream cheese on my face and left me looking like a kabuki character. yesterday, i attempted to return the sunscreen (i had purchased 2 b/c they were on special) and i was not allowed to because i had not had an adverse reaction to the product. the only way you can return products is if you have a reaction to them! i am a hairstylist and i sell people professional products everyday. how would you feel if i sold you some shampoo that you didn't care for and i would not let you return it b/c your hair didn't fall out? that is absurd, especially since professional products are backed by the manufacturer. i cannot support a practice who rips off their patients. PS - the questionable sunscreen is La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 40. its like cream cheese!

Again, I'll say that their billing department is so stupid that they sent me a bill for 300 dollars since they forgot to ask my birth date which according to them makes them unable to bill my insurance. I made an appointment here to get facial acne and some warts taken care of. I left without having gotten rid of either. When I told Dr. Roberta Lucas about my acne problem she launched into a LONG rant about how pasteurized milk, unfermented soy, and sugar causes acne and "according to her theory" warts. So she told me I could not eat any sugar, dairy or unfermented soy. Before I conformed to this lifestyle changing diet I did my research. None of what she said was based on ANY credible research that I could find. So I went the place SHE told me to look for information which was Weston A. Price Foundation. The Weston A. Price Foundation is headed by a PhD nutritionist (doesn't sound bad) and a woman with a Master's degree in...English. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Wow, I thought someone who had gone through Medical school would know a little bit more about the scientific method and scrutinizing sources of information. To top it all off, when I told her I didn't want children she stared at me and told me that I might change my mind. Ah, I love me some judgment in the morning.

It was tough enough to find a new "botox girl" after relocating from San Francisco to Brooklyn but…read morethe real challenge was finding one after COVID-19 landed me working remotely in a farm house upstate. I was convinced I may have to live with my forehead as-is and began an impressive collection of hats. Enter Kelly. I actually came across their IG and almost wrote it off as too good to be true: experienced, multiple accolades AND up-to-date communication with clients through social channels (with a sense of humor to boot.) I had my first appointment with Kelly about a week ago and can confirm she and her team are as good as they seem. *Detailed consultation with personalized recommendations and thorough explanation of treatment plan: check *Demonstrated knowledge of injectables and facial muscle composition/patterns: check *COVID-19 precautions: check check check, inclusive of temperature reading prior to entering and contact tracing. HUGE plus. *Bedside manner: this isn't a must-have for me, I'm more of a 'ends justify the means' when it comes to injectables and prioritize competency over conversation but Kelly's personality was too good not to mention, plus a huge perk to anybody new to the scene who could use a little comfort! Highly personable, funny, professional and visibly skilled at her craft. *Results: We all know this is what you've read this far for. 10/10. I had even asked about a particular injection site and it's contribution to my desired results and learned something new. I achieved some of my favorite results with less units than with my previous provider. TL;DR So yeah - this is the spot.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. UNLAWFULLY OPERATED…read more The practice is run by a Physician Assistant (PA), but New York State law clearly states that PAs must work under the supervision of a licensed physician. When I asked to speak with their Medical Director, I was told they didn't have one. (Article 131-B of the New York Education Law governs the practice of physician assistants in the state.) The injector GiGi performed unauthorized treatments, including injecting Botox into my gummy lines--something I never requested or approved. When I returned to address the poor results, the PA had to step in to sternly direct the injector to only use half an injection to fix the Spock brow I had been left with. Despite these efforts, the results were far from satisfactory. My appearance resembled what can only be described as a "serial killer" smile. (See below pictures) They also convinced me to choose a "lip flip" instead of lip fillers, claiming it would help "quiet my facial muscles" before injections. It's unclear whether the resulting smile was caused by the lip flip or the unauthorized gummy line injections, but the outcome has been devastating. Even three months later, my smile is still not back to normal, despite being told that the effects would wear off quickly. The dismissive attitude that mistakes don't matter because "Botox wears off" is unacceptable. If a procedure's effects last for months, the least they can do is get it right the first time. Another alarming issue is their lack of transparency. While consent and waiver forms are uploaded to the online portal, they fail to include any documentation of the injection sites. This omission feels deliberate, and it makes me question what they might be trying to hide. On a personal level, this experience ruined what should have been a joyful time. I had just returned from a 10-month military deployment and was looking forward to reuniting with my loved ones. I wanted to look refreshed and less stressed, but instead, I ended up feeling self-conscious and unattractive. I even asked my boyfriend to delay proposing because I didn't want to look this way in engagement photos. It's heartbreaking that such a special moment had to be put on hold because of their carelessness. The staff assured me that what happened to me was rare and that the effects would subside quickly. However, after extensive research, I found only one similar case online, which confirms that my experience is far from normal.
