Not to say we don't have excellent local pharmacies in our town, but sometimes you need a corporate store for such things as immunizations, which was my case in this instance. The check in process was uneventful and fast. I had made the appointment and paperwork online several days ago and the reception was fast. The inoculations specialist, Ian, was courteous and very efficient. I had my booster before I knew it. The rest of the store is fine. Well stocked, very good variety. Excellent wine section too, with many of the lesser priced items on the shelves. Of course, I'm not coming to CVS for a Chateau Latour, but if I'm having a cookout with a bunch of people, this will do. As in the old Rite Aid, they have BOGO on many of the vitamins. Overall a pleasant experience.

This pharmacy has the most convoluted computerized system one must navigate to do something as…read moresimple as picking up a prescription. To make it worse, most of the sales people sit by and announce they cannot help you until you correctly fill out the computer screens. They have not connected the notion of helping customers with service. And to top it off, there are unending phone calls with synthesized voices telling you to come down and pick up or order a script. They are the worst. The woman who often is at the drive thru is the exception. She is friendly, helpful and competent. Too bad Rite Aid left town.

They did not have to do that. They had a hard time with one shot - which was not covered by my insurances - but, they kept trying. Wasn't their fault. [I will get the RSV next year when my insurance will cover it.It is pricey without insurance coverage.] My husband had an vaccination appointment, but had to cancel it, then he got another appointment which he was able to keep. He got service from the same Pharmacist, who remembered me! How about that?! Vaccinations are tightly scheduled, take the Pharmacy staff away from their routine duty of filling Rx, answering questions, helping walk-in customers - to say all Pharmacies are busy is a HUGE understatement. Anyhow, this was all handled professionally and even though I fully knew how busy they were, they treated us both like we really mattered. Thank you, well done!

If you have any special requests or anything unusual about your prescription check to make sure it was handled correctly before you drive off/leave, it most likely won't have been done correctly. Prescriptions are also taking longer and longer to fill. The only good things about this pharmacy at this point is the staff are trying, and it is better than CVS in Hanover which is an even bigger disaster.

However, today I decided to try something different by ordering online from Walmart, in West Lebanon NH. It indicated that my order would be delivered today, the same day I placed it, but I did not pay much attention to that detail. I assumed I would receive it sometime during the week. While I was relaxing in bed, I heard a car pull into my driveway. Since I was alone and not expecting anyone, I got up and went to the front door. I saw a white SUV, and the driver asked, 'Walmart?' I replied affirmatively, and he then indicated, 'It's over there.' As a linguist, I am familiar with various accents, and I could tell he was Hispanic. I even called out, 'Muchas gracias.' How fortunate are we? My goodness, this poor man is working on a Saturday night to deliver items that are of little significance to us. I hope this serves as a reminder, as it has for me, that we are incredibly fortunate to be relaxing in bed on a Saturday night while others toil to make our lives more convenient. Therefore, I extend my gratitude to Walmart and urge you to take care of your employees; without them, you would be nothing. However, the staff are in a line of work that - like Dunder Mifflin customer service - doesn't procide them with opportunities to showcase a good deal of pizzazz. Nevertheless: staffers are helpful and professional, provided such knowledge is specific and pertinent to their niche in the business model. It is the business - Adapthealth - that is a big problem: always billing me for equipment for which their texts claim: "You are eligible for new PAP supplies based on your insurance company's replacement schedule!" (emphasis theirs). The misleading part about this enthusiasm is that the supplies in question are not FREE with my insurance, but included in my deductible, which is too high to be met even if I bought a sh*+load of them, but don't really need). Luckily for Adapthealth, they are making their money off of the monthly payments for my expensive Cpap machine, payments that never seem to end, because - YES - the deductible for this DIFFERENT category is also astronomically high, too.
