it started out great. all the information they sent me about the 2025 3500 gas dually should $62,000 and the 2026 was $67,000 everything was done remotely. Keep asking for a copy of the paperwork and was told would be sent to me. Never received them. Text the salesman and he emailed me a copy and when I looked over it the increase the price to $70,000. a course all the links they sent me with the cost of the truck are no longer available. I can tell you I would have NERVER paid $70,000 for this 2025 truck. They are not trustworthy and IDO NOT recommend them to anyone. Everyone I told they were great I have corrected that misstate. I am completely lost for words that there is no longer any integrity / trust left in this once great country. So in my book the stole $8000 from him. Hope they enjoyed it. read more

I have purchased numerous vehicles from this dealership. Last year there was a discrepancy of $2000 dollars on a trade in value. I was told it would be made up to me on next purchase. I ordered a 2024 King Ranch. At which time I gave them a deposit. The truck came in and the numbers that were presented were unacceptable. The salesperson said my deposit will not be refunded. After numerous attempts to speak with a manager my calls have yet to be returned. Very unprofessional behavior Will tell everyone to avoid doing business with them. read more

My wife and myself were looking for a car we found one at Vernon Auto Group that we liked. We contacted Deiter Brannon a salesperson at the dealership and told him what car we were interested in. The car was at a sister dealership and he contacted them and was informed it was available. He told us we were good to go. And that he had a driver heading to pick it up. About 40 minutes later I received a call that the car had been sold. I was not happy with that but they started looking for another car that fit our needs . With not much luck. Couldn't locate a working air station so I went to Vernon Ford on a Saturday afternoon- the service manager had someone fill all of my tires right away and would not accept any payment. While finishing financing, they sold the vehicle out from under me because my salesperson Rodney Moore failed to handle things properly. And of course, I had to learn on my own when my salesperson and sales managers ghosted me after they found out this had occurred. A bunch of cowards in Vernon Texas. Offered no apologies for this occurring, made it out to be my fault for not securing it with a deposit before I started the purchase process. So remember folks, if you choose to buy here, you have to be the first person to put down $500 before you even start the purchase process at Vernon Auto Group... They use timestamps. I wouldn't go so far as to say I wouldn't recommend them, but you do need to be careful when dealing with Vernon Auto Group. I was given a quote including rebates and 0% financing on a new truck last week. I was assured that the price was correct pending my trade-in value. They ran my credit to see if I qualified for the zero percent and only after they made a hard inquiry on my credit report did I receive a call telling me that the salesman was informed that he could not give me the rebates AND the 0% financing as I was quoted. As you can imagine, losing a $5,000 rebate is a dealbreaker. So, be careful. I relied on their honesty and up front pricing that they advertise so hard and a quote when I gave them permission to run my credit, only to be screwed over by an inexperienced salesman. read more

The "Warranty Forever" (www.mywarrantyforever.com) Is basically worthless. The insurance company requires pre authorization even for an oil change at any ford dealer. The contract is designed so that most users will fail to meet the written obligations at some point which will void the warranty. Also, they were able to value and appraise my trade over the phone, at higher values than KBB and two other Dallas dealers. Scott Young was my salesman, and he was very helpful. He and the finance team stayed late to finish the deal. Finance process so easy, no last minute games, no pressure to buy other options and packages like ive experienced so many times before. We went to buy a truck here. Called ahead and took a pre-approval letter from bank. After 5 hours, we finally signed all the paperwork. Gave them our trade in title but told them we were not planning to give a good review because of all the wasted time. They sent us outside to wait for truck. The sales mgr, Ralph Arteaga then comes out and says they don't do deals if the person is not going to give a good review and says he cancelled the transaction and is giving us our keys back. watch out for that warranty they offer. That was the selling point with me. Everything was fine until I didn't drive my vehicle much for 7 months (second car). I finally hit the 3,000 miles for the oil change. I called in to obtain the preapproval code from the warranty company. Oh sorry, your warranty has been voided because it's longer than 6 months from your last oil change. I never heard that kicker and only focused on the every 3,000 mile service. I'm the type of person that documents everything never misses my 3,000 mile service and has a very detailed records because I plan to keep the vehicle forever. I like to get my dollars worth from a warranty like this. If the warranty is the selling point for you then I would look elsewhere. If you read around the internet you will also see that the warranty company has a bad history of paying on warranty issues. They love to turn down the claims because of one reason or another. Darien Williams (my salesman) was EXTREMELY helpful and, since I lived out of town, kept me updated throughout the buying process where I stood. I have WAY less than perfect credit but despite that, still was able to get me in the vehicle I wanted at a price I could afford. I have bought many cars throughout the years and this was hands down the best experience I've ever had. 1/13/14- We made contact with Vernon Auto Group about the purchase of a new vehicle. We received a reply back the same day. 1/13/14- Again same day we were told that the vehicles sold on the lot were not California emissions certified. So we inquired about placing a special order for California emissions (no extra charge) on the vehicle. *You see we got the auto groups name from a gentleman in California who had picked up his truck from there and had nothing but great things to say.* 1/14/14- We were informed that we could go online thru "Build my Ford" and build the vehicle to the exact specifics we wanted and that Vernon could price order units aggressively. 1/15/14 - We received verification again that once we built the vehicle to our specs we would be given an invoice price. 1/16/14 - Eager to earn our business Vernon contacted us to ask if there was any questions we had and to follow up on our build sheet status. 1/16/14- we replied with some follow on questions to which they answered. 1/16/14- We SUPPLIED our build sheet to Vernon Ford as well as sent an email to confirm and address our time line of when we would take delivery of said vehicle. 1/16/14- Vernon CONFIRMED receipt of the build sheet and turned into the inventory manager. 1/18/14- We received an email to confirm if what was on the build sheet was correct. 1/18/14- We confirmed. 1/20/14 - We were NOW told we need to put down a deposit and fill out an application in order to place the order. 1/20/14 - We replied with "We are financing thru our credit union and have no issue with the deposit." 1/21/14- We received an email saying the vehicle will be able to be ordered they are just waiting for the inventory manager, as well as told they were going to send a copy of the build sheet on the 22nd for us to sign. 1/21/14- Vernon asked for a copy of our pre-approval letter from the credit union. 1/22/14 - We confirmed our pre-approval letter from Credit union and faxed a copy to Vernon Auto Group. (letting them know that it is good for 45 days. Vernon had let us know in a prior email that is the time line for the vehicle to be built as well). So now we are on a time crunch. 1/23/14- We had to contact Vernon Auto group to confirm they received our fax of the pre-approved credit union letter and as to whether the inventory manager had returned. 1/23/14- They replied with yes they did receive it, but inventory manager was still out so the owner was going to be working on getting the vehicle built 1/24/14- We received an email stating that now the PRESIDENT of VERNON AUTO GROUP was working the build of our Ford. Orders are accepted on Tuesday and we should know something by Monday. 1/27/14- Late Monday afternoon we contact Vernon to see how things were shaping up as the next day is TUESDAY which we know is the supposed "ORDER DATE". 1/27/14 - We were told there is a call into "Colin" to see where he is on the build. As soon as he lets them know where he is on the build we will be contacted. 1/28/14- LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON - SUPPOSED ORDER DATE- we receive email stating: "Colin has put in a call to our representative at Ford to verify we can place your order. He is looking into it and will let us know as soon as he knows anything." SO our order by Tuesday date has come and gone. We're on a time line of 45 days which now looks like we're not going to make. And our question is "Why did it take 7 days from the initial reply of "we can order your vehicle to now, we need to call our rep and make sure"????!?!?!? " We are highly DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED to say the least! Especially when they state they provide the easiest, most efficient and enjoyable buying and ownership experience ANYWHERE! A reputable business would NOT treat customers like this EVER! We will update if any corrections are made to this dispairing discrepancy. read more

I was misled about my warranty during the buying process and did not realize it until I spoke to a friend who had also purchased his vehicle from Vernon Auto Group. The warranty is the reason that I purchased from Vernon in the first place! I contacted several people at Vernon hoping to get the situation remedied. After a few e-mails and calls and promises to 'get this taken care of', all involved parties stopped replying to emails, answering phone calls, or returning messages.
