In the hotter months there is a stream/brook that runs parallel with a gate to access if your dog is ok to take a dip(water depth is shallow). Have fun if you explore it!

There are no signs so...... look for the "Town of Warwick Sports Complex" sign (it's across from the "Warwick Town Park") and follow the signs to the Lacrosse Field. In other words, when you take the turn for the Sports Complex, you'll need to go behind the baseball field (the roads veers to the left), you'll pass the hockey rink on your right, then you'll see the dog park on your right, across the way from the lacrosse field. Go get some cheap topsoil and through a few truckloads on top with the extra profit the store makes from the park users who don't know about "chewy.com". Drive the distance and go to Vernon off Rt. 94. Your dog will thank you for it - and you'll find it quite beautiful. West Milford Township should develop a REAL one - just don't follow Ringwood's lead where all the red-tape and crappy location makes for a useless non-used dog park - like this one was on my visit.

There is basically 4 different areas in this park - a small dog area, 2 large dog areas and a short wooded path that you can walk on with your dog. Sometimes I've been here where they close half the larger dog area, I'm not sure why this is. In the parking lot, there is a port-a-john for us humans, and trash can/doggie bags for the pups. Everyone seems to be really responsible here with their dog which is a major benefit. The brightly colored slides, tunnels, swings can be seen from Black Oak Ridge Rd. so it's hard to avoid when cruising the nighborhood -- I speak from experience! :-P There's a couple different structures -- one for smaller kids (1-3yo, I think) and one for older/bigger kids. My son has a blast climbing up the tunnels and down the slides every time we visit this playground. Note: the parking lot is a good size... but fills up quickly as it shares the lot w/ the dog park... and there's really no street parking along the park as it's a pretty active intersection.

Both sides have water available for the dogs and a number of different obstacles for them to run around on off-leash and areas to drink, but also some random puddles. Owners have to keep an eye on their dogs, so even if they are social sometimes they can fight. Almost all the dogs I've met here have been pretty nice though. Lot of bugs at the edges, though, especially in the muddy areas, and I killed a tick I saw, too, so you have to be careful. Parking can get quite busy at peak times.
