She saw me basically when she started her practice and for several decades and I am sad to see that she is no longer practicing (even though I have not seen her for the last few years). Went there with my other and honestly waiting 3 hours for an appointment is no excuse for overbooking everyone and saying you care for every patient. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF COMING HERE, THIS IS A WALK IN CLINIC I am repulsed by the lack of basic human knowledge and compassion in this office. I called in Janruary to make an appointment and was told the "first available for new clients is in April" so I took the appointment since I was referred here by my doctor. I live 40 minutes away from the office and am also dealing with a back injury so I couldn't drive myself there. My mother took off work early to come pick me up to take me to my long awaited appointment just to get at closing time (5 pm) and told that there is a TWO HOUR WAIT FOR MY APPOINTMENT TIME! Sorry but i thought the point of making an appointment was to secure a spot. Also why wouldn't you call your patients and let them know if there is such a drastic waiting time amidst rush hour traffic?! Even after I explained my situation and struggle they said they can put me in during the month of JULY. The front desk ladies were basically laughing at me and my mom and passing around snacks to each other while we are trying to find out what happened to human decency. BEWARE: Read this before you attend here My wife had three appointments with this doctor. On the last one, after paying the copayment as always, we got a bill saying that the insurance had not paid their part. The issue was that we had changed medical group and they did not work with that medical group. They never reviewed this information before the appointment (or while we were at the office) and did not inform us of this issue until after the fact. After several calls, they even recognized it was their mistake and that we should not have been billed for this, but since the insurance was not paying... "they had to charge somebody". I spent 2 hours on the phone with them and the insurance and everything seemed to be solved, but weeks later we received a letter with the bill again. We never paid because it was their mistake (as they recognized over the phone) because they did not check the insurance before the appointment. They reported my wife and lowered the credit score. Fortunately that's being taken care of because it's literally the only payment we have not made in our life, just because of the unfairness of the situation. I could talk about how rude the stuff was and other problema, but most of that is covered on other comments. I just recommend anyone to avoid attending this office because they are not professional and if they make a mistake, they'll try and make you pay for it. read more

I started coming to Doctor Veronica Abusleme when I was 17 years old cause my mom took me I was 18 years old I had my son and she was Amazing doctor So I continue going to her for a couple years but for I couldn't continue coming to her because at that time I had Kaiser or some other type of insurance the wooden work with her now that I am 34 years old I finally got a different type of insurance started coming to her again is been a long time since I seen her as she is the same amazing doctor I met when I was 17 she takes her time she does not rush through any appointment And years in my be a little frustrating when you're waiting for an hour and she has to leave to deliver Babies at the hospital but is totally worth waiting for her I would definitely hum back to her and I do recommend her if you want To be a happy patient. AVOID AT ALL COST. I had 3 appointments here. My wait was never less than an hour. First visit had a 2.5 hour wait time. She made a recommendation based on my medical history, I went and discussed her recommendation with my overseeing specialists and returned, but she never respected my decisions and treated me like a stupid child despite the fact I'm a highly intelligent adult making a conscious and informed decision. All I have to say is that I hope no woman has to feel the way I felt under This woman's care or lack thereof with a terrible bedside manner it was 2011 but I still haven't forgotten the trauma that she put me through and I hope no one else ever has to go through it... She first told me that I had chlamydia and then told me she needed to take a biopsy of which I sat in the room naked waiting for her for 2 hours and then when she came she had the worst bedside manner and was very aggressive while in such a sensitive spot... She didn't just take one biopsy or two or three she took seven which I thought was too many for something like chlamydia if it's there you'll be able to get it with three biopsies from three different spots... After that I never went back to her again and told my primary that he shall never allow for me to be referred to her ever again! she also put me in for a mammogram at the age of 35 and the doctor now asked me why I was given a mammogram at the age of 35? I understand that there are some of you ladies who she did right by but she did wrong by me... I feel that if I don't say anything that I can't help somebody else so here I am 8 years later saying something... Oh by the way I never had chlamydia I've had one partner for over 11 years... I absolutely LOVE Dr. Abuseleme, so much that before changing my insurance, I verified that I would still be able to see her or else I would not make a change. She delivered my first baby, and as a first time mom experiencing everything for the first time, she explained things thoroughly and made me feel at ease throughout my whole pregnancy. She is simply amazing, loving, patient, and is genuine. I also came to her when I was considering different birth control options, inserted the IUD, removed the IUD, and helped me deliver my second baby a few weeks ago. As previous posters have stated, she does have long wait times (~1 past appointment), but in my experiences with other doctors, she is worth the wait as she gives excellent health care and has become a friend to my husband and I. read more

Horrible service receptionist are rude!! I even spoke to their office manager and she was horrible nothing was solved. I wasn't sure if I needed to speak to her in Spanish for her to understand the words coming out of my mouth. They all lack people skills they don't know what they are doing. How is it that your going to ask my age if it's none of your concern and in a laughing matter. The only person who needs to know my personal information is the doctor not a stupid silly office manager who can't even comprehend ENGLISH. The whole point of my rant is that I got a missed call from their office at 6:25pm and they didn't leave a voicemail so I called back the next morning during business hours at 9:28 and it sent me straight to voicemail so I left my contact info since I was concerned to why they called. I called back at 12:50 since no one called me back yet and all they could say is that most likely it was about if you wanted to move your appointment earlier. I asked to speak to the doctor directly and they said she was out of office so they transferred me to their office manager who said the reason they didn't call you back is because we couldn't understand your voicemail and I could hear the receptionist talking in Spanish in the background I told her that I understand Spanish and if she wanted to say something to say it in English since I understand both languages and she just stayed quiet. I asked if I could hear the voicemail for them to prove to me that you weren't able to hear me well and they she said that wasn't possible. I told her that if her doctor called her directly and didn't leave a voicemail if she would be concerned why her doctor called and she said yes and I said then I don't understand your protocol as to why you guys don't leave voicemails. The dumb office manager said we have never run into this problem before about people complaining about us not leaving a voicemail. Then she said most likely the receptionist didn't know if you had a voicemail or not. So I told her in other words your telling me that after a few ring you train your receptionist to just hang up and not wait for the voicemail to pop up. I was baffled as to what she said to me not knowing what her receptionist do or do not do. How smart do you really have to be to leave a voicemail as protocol to any doctors office I have been too. Then I went off to my second point as to why when I called during business hours did my call go straight to voicemail then she went on saying that maybe there was only one person in the office at the time. So I asked her that your clinic only has one line and not able to answer and just say politely can you please hold. Then she said maybe it could have been that she was helping another patient. So then I said in other words you do not know your staff schedule as the "Office Manager" she had the audacity to tell me that she hasn't looked at the schedule for this week and if I am calling to supervise her. Once again I was baffled and told her the reason I called was to get to the bottom of this poor communication you and your staff have so it is no ones fault. This staff is Ridiculous please save your time and energy. I am an expecting mother of twins and was referred to this clinic by my doctor since she doesn't deliver twins. I will not be attending here since I can't have these types of people over looking my precious babies. Time to look for another place that treats their patients with dignity and care. read more

Unfortunately, I was referred to this doctor's office by a different obgyn because I was told she delivers babies. The doctor seemed like a nice person but after the first appointment, I was referred to a different doctor to do my 20 week ultrasound and also sent to the lab to do my 2nd trimester blood work. I later found out (from the girl at the ultrasound office) that my payment for doing the ultrasound would be $750 and yes they were in my network. I pay out of pocket for my insurance...why is this office referring people to this specific doctor who does ultrasounds? Cancelled my appointment. I went to do my blood work the week before xmas and i STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY TEST RESULTS. Does no one realize I'm pregnant and that those 2nd trimester screenings/blood work are important? I've called the office about 3 times now and I get the same answer...first that they would call me when they came in, and then that they haven't received them yet. It's been over 1 month now. I received the bill in the mail for going and getting my blood work done, $145. Money that I have to pay for test results I haven't gotten yet. I called the lab and the lab said that the results were sent electronically to the doctors office on 1/3/17. Thank God I switched insurances and my new doctor was super thorough and had me do the blood work all over again since I never got my results here along with the ultrasound which did not and should not cost that much when you already pay tons for insurance out of pocket every month. This makes absolutely no sense and is something that I shouldn't have to be dealing with over a simple piece of paper that tells me my blood work results that THANKFULLY I tested perfectly fine and healthy for at Kaiser. I would hate for this to happen to someone and have them sitting on results for no reason when a patient really needed them. read more

Very great and super sweet amazing doctor! Sadly the wait time is absolutely ridiculous, fist of all they don't have appointments they can give within a week or 2, it's usually more than a month out. With an appointment you end up waiting 2 hours!! I'm sorry but that's not acceptable... if you value your time you may want to do more research and find a different doctor. If you don't mind waiting forever then this place is ok. My husband was so upset because no one from the staff bothered to call us and tell us that our appointment was delayed two hours. Also, don't let the staff give you any type of results, they give misinformation causing you stress and panic, ask to speak to the doctor directly because the staff are not trained to do so. read more

Dr. Abusleme is awesome! She taakes her time with every patient and always ensures that you are informed of everything. I've never had a doctor that waits and makes sure that all of your questions are answered every single time. I am a RN at one of the hospitals in which she sees patients and can tell you that literally the entire female nursing staff goes to her. If you want to find a good doctor, ask a nurse. She has literally saved my life and that of my youngest son. She has operated on me 3 times and I always recover so quickly! This past August, I was 36 weeks pregnant when she sensed I had pre-eclampsia. I say sensed because even though many of my labs were normal, her experience told her something was off. She sent me for monitoring and the laborist on call wanted to send me home. She left her office and came to see me and her exam showed I was in severe pre-eclampsia. She had my baby out in 30 minutes. During the c-section when she was closing, my baby began to go into respiratory distress. She made the NICU team come back because again she sensed something was off and my baby ended up being admitted to NICU. Had she not noticed, the outcome could have been catastrophic. Many people complain that they wait for a long time to be seen in her office. This does happen because she spends so much time with each patient. She never rushes. Also, babies aren't born at convenient times. You will run the risk of waiting in all OB offices. The way to avoid this is to call before you leave for your appt. Her staff does a great job of letting you know if she is running behind so you don't have to wait in the office. Honestly, there is not a better doctor out there. read more

I never got to see the doctor because I was told I would have to wait an hour and a half past our appointment time since she was running late. I asked if I could be seen within 30 minutes of my appointment time, I was told no. I asked to make another apppointment time on a day when she will be able to keep her appointments on schedule and they said Dr. Abusleme NEVER keeps appointments and there is always a several hours wait to see her even if you have an appointment well in advance (I made mine 2 months ago). So I walked out. Time to find another doctor. I wish I had known sooner I would have been able to better take care of my health needs. read more

As it has been said before if I could rate this 0 stars I would! However, it gave me a tiny bit of satisfaction that 1 star is considered "hated it". Moving forward. I went to this establishment because Dr. Abusleme came highly recommended by my mother and this being my first pregnancy I chose to believe mother knew best. Terrible timing to start believing my mother and not the horrible reviews. Dr. Abusleme herself is a good doctor but not easily reachable. I was constantly told the doctor is only in 2 days a week and expect each visit to start well over an hour after your scheduled appointment time. Being my first pregnancy I had multiple questions and concerns post labor (but I'm not an overbearing person and or unreasonable) and each time I called to either leave a message to the Doctor or try to get a call back at a time more convenient for her I never did. The front staff is beyond unprofessional (both in person and over the phone). I kept giving them opportunities to prove the negative reviews wrong but I was never surprised. I am trying to keep this review as professional as possible myself but just think of all the cliches of a run down clinic Front Desk staff and they're it. I will leave it at that. I have spoken to their "Office Manager " several times about this but she does not use any moment as a "coaching moment" rather just ignores it. Even today I wasted my time bringing up a situation and all I got was the go around. So much so that when I brought up examples of their unprofessional and rude behavior instead of taking those specific examples and as I said having them as coaching opportunities she just cut me off and asked if I was calling about my following appointment. It's baffling really. When I said you really aren't hearing me out are you she said "it is hard to hear someone out that isn't being nice" Yes! I agree it is also hard to go to an office that should be the first representation of what Dr. Abusleme stands for but only get rude and "not fit to deal with patients " staff. May it be known however that I was not being mean (I haven't even shown that side of me yet) just honest about events that have occurred with her staff. But some people I guess aren't cut out to truly manage or supervise instead try to turn the tables. Not to mention they do not have a good organization system for their files/documents. For instance they provided a document for my employer stating I needed to start disability on a certain date. 2 months later my employer contacted them just to verify if this was still valid and they provided a different date thus getting my into a tough spot with both my employer and state disability. When I contacted them directly they had no recollection of this document and much less the dates. When I went in person and showed them a picture of this document with Dr. Abusleme's signature I was finally taken serious. But still not a single apology for the misunderstanding only excuses or scapegoats. From management as well might I add. If you are taking time to read this long review thank you for your time and please go elsewhere. It might sound like first world problems to some because thank God my son is here in this world and after all Dr. Abusleme did deliver him successfully. However, if I could go back and do it all over again I would choose a different clinic and Doctor where I could look forward to all of my appointments, learn and most importantly feel wanted at the office not just seen like someone who's insurance will be charged for their paychecks. (My dentist's staff makes me feel more welcomed) And if for some reason Dr. Abusleme reads this : I called multiple times and both staff and management know I was on the verge of writting a bad review since November 2016 but I kept giving everyone chances. The rating for Dr. Abusleme would be five stars if not for her front and back office staff. Dr. Abusleme gives each of her patients time and care. This also means that you wait long after your scheduled appointment to see her. She is nothing short of amazing as a physician should be. On it's own, it would be worth the wait to see her. However, the attitude of her staff is so reprehensible that we decided it wasn't worth it to continue care with her due to her staff's behavior. They are strict and rigid about payment upfront and threaten to cancel your appointment on the spot if you don't pay immediately. However, when it comes to reimbursements due to overpayment (e.g., when you have met your family's out of pocket max) and they have continued to collect payments from you, they will sit quietly and not reimburse until you get your insurance company on a three-way call with them to ensure you get your payment. Even then, they cut us a check for $5 less than the amount owed. Too insignificant to fight for, and it goes to show the office cares about every penny, not your health. read more

This was my first time here, since I was referred here by my physician. The receptionist, is super rude over the phone and in person. Deffinetly no people skills. I got to my appointment about 10-15 mins because since it was my first time here I knew I would have to sign papers. Well I stood there for a good 5/8 mins before given the time of day, while these two women sat there staring at the computer and chatting about who knows what, didn't seem work related. Then another girl in sweats walks by, me thinking I would get acknowled. Whatever! So i finally fill out what needs to be filled out, I sit and wait, I just felt so bad for the lack of comfortness, I start to cry. Finally 30 mins in I get called back, took my weight and blood pressure, and get asked question, but what really knocked it out of the park was the amount of interest in my religion and my baby's dad religion... um Ok! So i was told to get undressed and left sitting there for another 15 mins until I gave up and had to leave. No way should I or anyone be treated like this. Didn't even see the doctor, don't know who it is. I had already spent 1 hour and 15 mins JUST WAITING!! Time is valuable. So I followed my feelings and I cried my way out of that office. I absolutely love her she has done a couple procedures on me and I am very satisfied. When I was pregnant with my first child I was being treated at another facility and, because I'm a high risk pregnancy they would have me come into the facility every other day. When I was being treated with my second and third child I was still a high risk pregnancy. However, I did not have to come into the facility as much as she was equipped to handle a high risk pregnancy. This a lot it me the opportunity to actually enjoy my pregnancy. She was more than just my Dr she was a friend who I felt comfortable expressing my feelings and worries with. Her wait times are long, but well worth while. The reason why her wait times are so long is, because she gives each patient her undivided attention and care. Additionally, she does not like to perform C-sections unless they are absolutely medical. Her C-section scars are very little in length and width and below the bikini line; she also does not utilize staples to close incision instead she uses catgut and stitches up the incision from the inside out. There's no other doctor that I would trust with my infant child's life. She's amazing..... read more

Yes.. it is true you will wait 1-4 hours in the waiting room or exam room. If you are not pregnant and are generally healthy your next available appointment date may not be for another month or more. It is true the staff is sometimes mean or dismissive BUT Dr. Abusleme will be an amazing obstetrician. I had my baby Oct 2018 so I saw her from Feb 2018-Dec2018 and I spent many many hours in her waiting room but it was worth it. She was caring and she always listened to my questions. She was very calming during my delivery. My baby was wrapped three times, twice around his neck once over his chest and she got him out safely. I tore and she stitched me up nicely. She also did my sons circumcision in 15 min. I did get a crappy breast pump from their contractor but whatever thats beside the point. Dr. Abusleme delivered and circumcised two of my nephews and my son. I am so glad she was my doctor. If I have another baby I'm going back to her. read more

I completely trust her and will take any advise she gives me. At my hospital that I work at she is legendary and that is why I decided to give her a try. Please don't let the outside of the building discourage you from seeing Dr. Abusleme because she is great. As others have said, expect to wait awhile to get in, but once you get in you'll know why the wait is worth it. This was my first OB, so I had a lot of questions at first and she took the time to answer everything, reassure me, and she never rushed anything.
