Upon coming into the office, I was greeted immediately by an employee and gave me the paperwork's that needed to be completed. I didn't wait that long to be called. An MA assisted me, made me comfortable, ask more questions then came the doctor. It was DR. Bonni that I saw, he came to the room with a smiling face and the first time a doctor asked me, "what can I do for you?". I was taken aback and kind of tongue tied but I recovered fast enough to be able to tell him what I was there for. I like him already; he made me at ease. He listened to me then asked pertinent questions and gave me options that I can think about and decide later on to discuss when I come back for my follow up. How is this man still practicing !? He gave hysterectomy total and radical. Removed ovaries, cervix, and uterus. The kicker is that it was all unnecessary as there was absolutely nothing wrong and said fibroids were not even an issue. Also close to menopause. This man didn't even provide hormonal therapy treatment after. After the botched surgery had to go in for heavy bleeding and after cries for anesthesia ,he said you can't feel anything. Was in for induction for my precious baby girl in March of 2024. I was supposed to have my delivery done by him (he had visited me and we spoke about what to expect and that he would be checking in on me the next day). Unfortunately, he couldn't make it, but in my postpartum room was able to help me with prescribing medications due to my complications (it was a smooth delivery but had to make sure my blood pressure was okay due to it plummeting to 90 over 20 something after my epidural worked a little too well and then during delivery my placenta was attached to my uterus still). My point being, while he might not have been the doctor to deliver my precious baby girl, he was incredible every second I interacted with him and his incredible team at Holy Cross. Vv I will never forget what this man did to my poor mother. She came in to consult about a non symptom fibroid and got a full hysterectomy. She was unwilling thrust into early menopause with no after care or education about her situation. Shortly after the surgery she hemorrhages and I at the time 18 years old had to drive her to the hospital where he tore into her while she was writhing in pain he told her to be quiet ! Dr. Kossari delivered my first born child by C-Section on 5/27/17. It was not a schedule c-section , it was an emergency. I dilated 10cm and my water broke on its own but my baby just wasn't coming out. Causing my body , and my baby's body to go into stress. Dr. Kossari didn't hesitate and decided it was the best thing for me to deliver my baby by c-section. Of course that's not what I wanted nor was it in my birth plan but at the end of the day it was the right / heathy thing to do. Therefore, I am beyond happy, grateful, and thankful for having Dr. Kossari as my OBGYN. He is truly a "PROFESSIONAL" and if I ever have a baby again he will definitely deliver my baby. I can't trust anyone else after going through what I did. Dr. Kossari is very straight forward , and knows exactly what he is doing. Every nurse at the hospital told me he was one the fastest / BEST c-section doctors and he had been doing this for years. Which also made me feel very comfortable and happy I had him as my doctor. IF YOU GET A REFERRAL FOR THIS DOCTOR REQUEST A NEW ONE IMMEDIATELY, DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THE FIRST APPOINTMENT. This Dr was referred to me by my primary Dr. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. He was in the room a total of about 5 minutes for an hour visit. He was disrespectful to both myself and my boyfriend. He was unprofessional and and not a caring man. The doctor that you have during your pregnancy should be a kind and caring person, something I do not think this man is capable of. He did not ask me if i had any questions and wasn't even in the room long enough for me to tell him I had questions. He barely spoke to me or my boyfriend and only spoke to my nurse and told my nurse 'Tell her...' This was supposed to be my first ultrasound appointment but he does not have an in-house tech and does not even have the appropriate machines to perform an ultrasound. This was my first OBGYN appointment, this is my first pregnancy and I am 22 years old. Thi s appointment should have been a wonderful experience for my boyfriend and myself but it was not. Dr. Kossari also inserted the speculum without putting any lubrication on it, which inevitably hurt and caused me to flinch, he then pushed it into me further causing me to flinch again. It was extremely painful and very rude. My boyfriend was very upset with how the doctor was to me and the only thing he said to either of us was a sarcastic, smart-ass remark to my boyfriend. I will not be going back to this 'Doctor'. Already contacted my primary to request a new referral for a different OBGYN. I have also reported him to Prospect Medical Group and Blue Cross for malpractice. This is not a fully functioning office, they do not have any appropriate machines to do ultrasounds. This Dr is trash!! He was referred to me by my co-worker. I didn't even get to meet him until my 27th week!!! Meeting him for the first time was the worse experience I've had with any doctor. I showed nothing but kindness, patience and respect (regardless of all of the incorrect blood results, waiting countless hrs and them rescheduling my appointments). I expected at least an introduction from him, but I had to read his name to find out for sure if he was the OB. this was my OBGYN when i was pregnant and he was the best!! Upon the first meeting, he was always attentive and supportive on all the decisions we made. He checked up daily and made sure he saw me more than once a month. helped me monitor my weight so that i didnt gain too much and that i stayed healthy through out my pregnancy. he didnt disregard anything i said or never not answer my questions. Not only is he a great doctor but also has hired a great team that will always take care of you! no quesion! he also has the state of the art Ultra sound Machine. 4D pictures and all! he was even able to make me a dvd of my sons growth in my stomach and than incorporated pictures from my pregnancy and baby shower also added songs to the dvd. he's a great doc! any woman will love him! read more

I got assigned to Dr. Kossari 4 years ago for my son. Best experience ever. He answered any and all questions I had. Took all the precautions with my family history. He was awesome in the labor room. Now fast forward to now. I changed my insurance just to have him. I would not trust any one else to care for me and deliver my baby. People are complaining about wait times and other issues. Dr Kossari is the best! He delivered my first and only baby girl about a year and a half ago and I couldn't be any happier to have found him! He is caring, thorough, professional and extremely down to earth. I was so paranoid my entire pregnancy and asked a million questions and not once did he disregard my concerns, he always addressed them fully and gave me extremely detailed answers. As far as my delivery, the best experience! I was scared as it was my first pregnancy, but he made it so easy for my husband and I. I saw dr.kossari on November 3rd. I am extremely happy with this provider. I had to get a new obgyn because my insurance changed. I have some Issues going on and dr.kossari made me feel like there was hope and that my issue can be treated. That is such a relief. My last ongyn did anything for me. Great facility. Doctor is very friendly and gets to the point. The only downside is that they take for ever to see you. They either over book their appointment slots or they're under stsff. I am very happy I was able to find this dr. My choices were very limited with my ins. The girls were helpful and very nice on phone and got me in within a week unlike one other dr. This was by far the worst physician I have seen. He is so unprofessional! Staff was nice ( angela was the best!), but the doctor was terrible! Don't waste your time here!!! you will be given an apt fairly quick and what not, but the service sucks. Kossari doesn't give a damn about you as a patient. He is really unfriendly and spends about 5min in the room with you and sends you away. Treats you like a number. He will yell at his staff in front of you. Overall just gives you an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. Not to mention parking is a big B..and you have to pay for that 1 hour and half in his small waiting room to be seen for five minutes in which he doesn't listen to your concerns. The only good thing about Dr. Kossari is he gives you an appointment quickly. If you are looking for a caring doctor, then go elsewhere. If expect to have your questions answered, he will do that about 50% of the time or less. When asking for specifics on different treatments he'll tell you to read about it, since the literature is out there. If you insist, his nurse will write the names of the alternative procedures so you educate on your own. I changed Gynecologists right away. You need to remind them to respect HIPAA rules. Horrible!! Both of his offices are pretty bad but the worst was the mission hills office. Waiting room is way too small and the receptionists are not very friendly. I transferred my prenatal care to Kossari and was truly disappointed. I took in my records from my previous doctor and it seems he never even looked at it. I had gestational diabetes and I had to remind him every time I saw him! Every appointment that I got to see him he literally spent less than a minute in the room. Waited for him for 3 hours just to see him for less than a minute! He always seemed to be in a rush. It just seemed as if he didn't care for me as his patient. He is the best OBGYN you can find, he took me in at 23 weeks pregnant and went out of his way to make sure I got the best treatment and all the required tests I had missed. My other Dr treated me like a number, not like a person/patient. With Dr. Kossari I feel like he truly cares about his patients and is very gentle with everything he does during his exams. Everyone in the office will know you by name and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I am happy with how I'm treated by everyone and how well my questions are answered. The receptionists have no idea what they are doing. They pick up the phone as you why you are calling then out you on hold and when they get back on the phone they ask you why you are calling again like it's their first time talking to you. And that's only if you're lucky enough for them to answer the phone. Last week I had to keep calling over and over again and when someone picked up she put me on hold for 14 minutes! Then I hung up and called back and she put me on hold again and when it got to 6 minutes I hung up and decided to go online and do some research on this place. Not to my surprise they have terrible reviews with people warning that the doctor is horrible and vulgar. I've been a patient of Doctor Kossari for over 9 years. I deem him as the best OBGYN. He listens to ALL my concerns and firmly answers my questions and considers them with much devotion. Most importantly he makes me feel very comfortable with the care he provides. I wanted to see this doctor in his Van Nuys office because it is closer to my home. This doctor is never available in that office. I don't know why does he keep it if he will not be there. Anyway, because I needed an annual exam I agreed to see his assistant. I go to the office Friday and they tell me that the Physicians Assistant had an emergency and is not there. They suggest I go back Monday which I did. But guess who I was seen by. By the nurse. They asked me to take a urine sample and gave me a Styrofoam cup. I was shocked. Really? You don't have a proper medical cup with cover? Comes out they do you just have to ask for it. Anyways I don't think I want to go back to this clinic. read more
