I recently came back here for a check up due to my health concerns now that I am in my late 30s. I have been dealing with changes for the past two years. I requested for a blood work to see what's going on with my health. I got my blood drawn at the office and told to wait for 2 weeks for a tele-health phone appointment for the results. Last Friday I was scheduled at 12pm for that call. The day went by and I received no call from the PA or doctor... I called this Monday and was told to make another appointment because the PA or doctor forgot to call me back. I got scheduled for today's appointment at 10:40am.. few hours pass by no call. So I called the office and the front desk lady said the PA will give me a call by 4:45pm or 5pm. Again the time got changed around. After 5pm I still have not received any call. At this point I am struggling to just find some answers and figure out what's going on with my health. The management there is so unprofessional. No one seems to care about patients health. I feel bad for the pregnant women who go to this clinic now because I've seen how long of a wait they all have to wait as well to be seen at the office. Service was never this bad before. So much has changed. I have been a patient here for over 15 years and Dr. Yashapour has taken great care of me and all 3 of my child births in the past. I am a very understanding person but in all honesty I have never seen a medical office so careless and unprofessional until now. read more

FIRST baby I was getting cared by the office here. WHAT HE CONSIDERS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE isn't really he scares you into believing things just to have you induced at the end of it all. He didn't even deliver my baby talk about money won without doing much. He's literally the best gynecologist I've ever had. So patient, kind, caring, and explains answers to all my questions very thoroughly (I've learned a lot in my few visits with him)! I was nervous about having a male doctor, and the front waiting room wasn't that fancy or anything, so I was a little apprehensive, but I'm so glad I found him, and I'll recommend all my friends to him. Had my second baby boy by C-section with Dr. Yasharpour, and he did an amazing job. I was honestly very scared about having a C-section, but the experience ended up being really positive. My baby was breech, and Dr. Yasharpour made me feel safe and well taken care of throughout the whole process. I've now been able to experience both types of deliveries with Dr. Yasharpour, and both were beautiful experiences. Even after the delivery, I visited his clinic to make sure everything was healing well with my incision. He always listened to my concerns and helped me with anything I needed. He truly takes the time to listen and asks how he can help, which means a lot as a patient. He will always hold a special place in my heart for delivering both of my baby boys. I definitely plan on going back to him for my next (and final) baby. It has always been a great experience with him. read more

UPDATE MY PAST REVIEW TO NOW 2025. This place has changed so much from the welcoming and warm hospitality they used to treat each patient to the patient care service they give you. Long story short they kept canceling my appointments last minute literally same day of appointment due to insurance issues they claim there wasn't something they could of did on there end.The medical assistants are actually really rude and seem incompetent and not caring in helping in your situation already in 2nd trimester and still won't help to be seen there (not a new patient here). They gave me the run around telling me to change my insurance once it was , there was always a problem. Something is off with this place his front office staff has changed, and it seems he hired new grad students with no experience or compassion for pregnant women. This place was my go-to for all my pregnancy care, but after I was treated this way, the attitude I was given was very unprofessional it made me realize all the negative reviews are true. I am so disappointed i will have to find a new obgyn. I've had Dr. yashapour for all my children's births and it's very sad that in my second trimester I would have to see someone new. Also the inside waiting room does not look welcoming with very few seats. Update 4/26/2025 This clinic has not followed up with me regarding there "reason" to cancel my appointments. My wife chose to come see this doctor office because she is 8 weeks pregnant so far and this was her first doctor visit after finding out she is pregnant. This office is in a plaza with many parking spots so you shouldn't have issues finding parking. We came early because she's a new patient and we figured there would be paperwork to fill out. The waiting lobby was packed with other patients and the place is not that big, but we were able to find a seat. I give up my seat a couple of time for mother's to sit down. It took about 20 minutes after our appointment time to be seen. My wife first went to answer some questions and take her vitals. Then we went to do the ultrasound and heart the baby heartbeat along with seeing our little nugget. The person doing the ultrasound isn't very talkative but that's just his personality from what the nurse practitioner told us. After the ultrasound person left, thats when the nurse practitioner came in to talk to us and this is why our experience was positive. She's amazing, her personality is awesome and very informative on anything we had questions on. This clinic is also cash only so be aware. read more

I have been heavily bleeding for almost ten years on my period like I mean it looked like a crime scene ever month for the last ten years it was embarrassing and no doctor would help me after one doctor found a cyst in my uterus 10 years ago .. I was here not too long ago wanting to see an OB because unfortunately my insurance changed when I moved. I'm going to be 27 weeks pregnant and I am a high risk patient. They told me to come on Christmas Eve. I went to my appointment and before you know it because I had a little cold and a tiny sore throat the Dr. neglected to see me. They said, "If I'm that concerned go to the hospital." "I told them yeah and if I go they will do basic check up and tell me to follow up with an OB specialist which is you guys." They told me, "if you are sick we have to reschedule" (When OB's immunity is already low because you are pregnant) so you will get a little cold here n there. They didn't want to listen and pretty much neglected me. This is my first pregnancy and I just needed advice on what to do when I'm sick n pregnant n I got booted out. Probably I was the last patient n they wanted to go home..but they scheduled me at 11:45AM. So very upset disappointed on how the medical field is treating patients these days. If u want a natural birth, he will make sure it does NOT happen for u... The one day I couldn't go with my wife to her checkup/appointment he falsely diagnosed her with Preclamsia and admitted her to the hospital because of high blood pressure. I arrive and my wife is fine (the epitome of health... we're both very health conscious people). We explain that her slightly raised high blood pressure (130/90) is from white coat syndrome (she gets nervous at hospitals and doctor offices). He was so pushy and tried to convince my wife to inject steroids into the 28 week old fetus... at this point my wife is terrified and hysterical...her blood pressure is only going higher. He continues to try to scare my wife so I was forced to give him a piece of my mind and tell him to zip it and give us our walking papers. He gives us a document to sign that we are endangering our baby. My wife is traumatized. We consulted with other professionals and his diagnoses of preclamsia was BOGUS. Unfortunately, we stuck with him hoping things would smooth over. We didn't tell him but we got an experienced midwife/doula for support because my wife wanted a natural birth, however, Yasharpour kept insisting "she will be enduced" for no other reason than he wanted to flex his ego. Fast forward to the day her water breaks, he leaves her messages that she's endangering the baby (even though there was no evidence of that). Of course, he's just trying to scare her so she rushes in for an induction or possible c-section (more money for him). Long story short, we arrive to the hospital when my wife was ready to deliver. She delivers NATURALLY to a very healthy baby in about 45 minutes. You should've seen Yasharpour... he was like disappointed. The next day after delivery we were in the hospital and he checked in to try and push a blood pressure medication on my wife. I couldn't believe this guy. He was so stubborn and couldn't admit to being wrong..: Just wants to satisfy his ego. Our child was/is in perfect health. So is my wife. My wife was truly traumatized from her experience with him. Our second child was a natural birth at home with the team of midwifes since my wife refused to interact with another obgyn after that. In retrospect, our delivery with Yasharpour was the easiest pregnancy and birth. Smooth. No complications other than the mental games and fear tactics that made it such a terrible experience. Im leaving this review because it was traumatizing for my wife. Took her a few years to get over the fear and be ready for more kids. Bottom line... if u hope to have a natural birth, he will do anything he can to stop that from happening. I find him to be a coward. read more

Came to see Dr. Yasharpour for the 1st time and never coming back!! I am due in less than 2 months and I switched my insurance so I wouldn't have to see him again. He was fine at first but then when I started telling him my birth plan he became rude and began telling me that I need to be flexible with THEM and if I don't like it to not come back... so I guess I'm definitely not going back.. not to mention when he was checking my belly he had blood (from another patient) on his right arm and didn't notice til I told him. Staff was helpful and greeted me well. I waited in the room for 45 minutes before being seeing. The guy who calls himself a Dr is a totally working for the Pharmaceutical companies and want to shove birth control down patients throat. I told dr about my concerns that were NOT in anyways related to birth control or pregnancy and his only suggestion was that I get on an IUD. After I declined and said I was not interested in that. He said "I am not going to argue with you, take a pamphlet and think about it, come back In two weeks, I don't really care" like what?! My woman concerns have nothing to do with birth control. I have no idea why he only suggested this and was so condescending about me not being interested. I know why, because he won't get an incentive for using another pharmaceutical brand on a patient! Dr. Yasharpour is one of the best doctors in obstetrics out there. He has been my doctor for all my 3 pregnancies (10 years) which all have been high risk. He listened to my concerns, knew exactly how to treat me, and what needed to be done to help all of my babies come to full term and be born as healthy as possible. If there was an option for a lower star than one, I would rate this doctor that. I should've done my research and read the reviews online before trusting Dr. Yasharpour with my pregnancy. He is a careless human being and only cares about how much he gets paid from the insurance company. I say this because when I was 3 months pregnant and during one of my visits, that is the first thing he told me - that he may not be working with my insurance anymore since they don't pay him what they should during visits. I asked him if I should be concerned and if I should look elsewhere, he said no since the email and discussion with my insurance company was still being discussed. Come a month later, I received a letter from his office stating that he is no longer working with the insurance company effective August 31, 2023- but that he would still see me since I was still under his care. I should've known better and should've switched doctors right there and then, but I was nervous I wouldn't be taken in since I was already at my second trimester. I'm so glad I woke up and did my research in finding another doctor. Again, if it doesn't satisfy his bank account, rest assured he won't care about your well being. I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and by far I've had to ask him certain things and medication that I think I should be on from recommendations from NP's. I don't even know why he is still in practice and why anyone would trust him. He is so unprofessional and not sure how he still has a hanging license. After raising my voice for the first time at his staff, the phone was passed on to the "doctor". I expressed everything I had on my mind and in return he told me if I was not happy that I should go see another doctor (which I already did the day before). In addition, he told me that I was completely fine and that he was unable to get information back to me since he was short staffed. Quite frankly, the office has about 15 girls working for him each time I've gone in there, not sure how that would identify as being short staffed. Nonetheless, ladies please do yourself a favor and save the headache of going to this so called doctor that he calls himself. There are so many other professionals out there that don't care about how much they get paid from insurance companies and actually care about your well being. Don't let his soft spoken voice fool you - this will come back and haunt you and wish you that you never went to him in the first place. Absolutely horrible doctor. I waited about 2 hours to be seen and when I was seen it was less than 5 minutes. The minute the doctor walked into the room he looked me up and down and said wow you're big and then went off the next few minutes about my weight (I wasn't there for anything weight related). Once I directed the conversation to the reason I was there he started denying me immediately saying I was too big to do the procedure and started questioning and bashing my doctors and the choices I made for my body, trying to shove birth control down my throat even after multiple attempts of me trying to stop the conversation and voice my opinion he just refused to listen. Not only did he not care about the problems and cysts I was having and the pain I had been having but was making inappropriate comments making me feel uncomfortable and to top it off telling me that he never wanted to operate on me the first time that he only did it because it was an emergency. But if he has a choice not to do it, he does not want to do it and rather put me on birth control when I specifically told him that I didn't want to go into that since I had really bad side effects. Horrible experience Dr. Yasharpour did a procedure in the office. I mentioned to him that I was in so much pain, he started the procedure that was supposed to be done in the hospital, first, he didn't put enough anesthesia and I felt everything he did including the stitches, I told him it was hurting so bad and he disregarded my plead he continued until he was done without thinking of my suffering, after that I couldn't even walk to my car and I asked for pain medicine he refused and told that wasn't necessary he was wrong I was in so much pain I threw up. He never mentioned what he did to me or how many stitches I had....still waiting to recovery and I'm afraid to go back to him please don't go to him. Well ...I would say BE WARE of this Doctor Especially if you are having a C-Section !! My Csection experience with him was horrible Stitches opened up 10 days after my precious babies delivery. That was a night mare because they don't close it up again after that, they just let you heal with an open wound . So I was bleeding from a wound for 6 weeks. Then it healed leaving a big hole. It's gross and makes me really depressed. And of course he is NOT going to pay for it to be fix! When I asked him why this happened he was rude And blamed it on me ! This review is for the office staff, they are nothing short of rude. My wife was turned away plenty of times because they were too lazy to bill our insurance and instead kept billing us! When we took them the bill all they said was "we dont take care of your personal issues" what?! My wife was refused service on several occasions. We came from San Diego in hopes of getting my wife checked up to see how's the baby going . My wife is now 8 months , u.s citizens and was unable to get help from DR.Farid. He showed a really bad attitude, didn't care where we came from or what we been through he only cared about records of recent check ups which we didn't have but when we called the clinic they said a lie that they will help my wife and give her a check up . But no Farid was just worried about records and he was saying things he shouldn't be saying to a pregnant women . My wife left the clinic crying . Never going there again . Worst experience ever!!!!!! Dr Yashapour was my Obgyn for my first pregnancy & I delivered 5/22/2020 at mission hills.... I feel as though his bedside manner as a medical professional is horrible. One of my relatives is an obgyn in another state & couldn't believe what I shared. For one when you visit his practice he doesn't ask the right questions.... my uncle gave me a list of questions that he should've asked during the post natal appointment &&& yashapour didn't ask any...all he asked was if my stitches dissolved & "did I use dissolving stitches?" Well my uncle tells me "we all use dissolving stitches" ..... I was anemic during the pregnancy & had high blood pressure during labour.... my uncle says he's should've requested that I return after the delivery to check my blood pressure and the anemia. All Farid cared to ask about was if I was interested in birth control, when I went to get my stitch fixed a week after giving birth, instead of asking questions about my pain or asking about my post delivery symptoms he just jumped into the birth control, I couldn't even share my complications.... anyway I ask what birth control he suggests and he suggests the implant, well based on my medical history my uncle said I'm not the best candidate for this! And that yashapour should've gone through the options.... Not to mention that giving labour was an experience I'll never forget, I had an anxiety attack thank you Farid. I was yelling because of the pain & instead of trying to motivate me or act like he care he yelled at me and said "don't say ouch I know it's ouch, I will not help if you yell and say ouch." Ummm sorry I'm in pain and scared, ...sent me into a panic attack. Anyway I'm no longer a patient here, thank to my uncles help and assessment recently, I decided to change obgyns (kaiser now), the new doctor was very unhappy when he learned that dr Farid didn't do certain post delivery "musts" check up.... Just stand your ground here ladies and make sure you at being taken care of, and maybe record when he is in the room with you so that he doesn't take advantage. I went to see Dr. Farid as I saw he had great reviews on being a supportive VBAC ob. Maybe that was the case years back but ladies if you are looking for a VBAC supportive Ob he is definitely not the one. He uses scare tactics and only talks about the risk of having a VBAC but doesn't not take the time to talk about the risk of a repeat cesarean. To top it off they take for ever to see you. Had an appt at 9:15 showed up at 9:00 and I was not seen until almost 11. What a disappointment from all the good reviews this Dr has on Yelp. read more

Dr. Yashapour is flat out excellent! I came to him with the desire to gave a VBAC. He told me that its possible and he would approve me to have one. Went to all my check ups where I never waited more then 10mins. I was one day passed my due date and my water broke. Went to the Holy Cross Providence Mission Hills and the Doctor was already there! It reassured me that he is very much apart of the plan to birth vaginally. There was never any rushing me or scare tactics. He knew what I wanted and was determined to give it to me. I had a hypnobirth with a doula and my partner. After 12 hours of labor Dr. Yashapour came in and said its time to deliver! The babys heart rate kept going down while pushing. Any other doctor would of suggested a c-section...the nurses was nervous and they had stand by nurses. The doctor was calm...he stated that he didnt like the heart rate dropping like that and we need to push him out. He never once mentioned a c-section! The baby was delivered and everything was perfect! I got exactly what I want. He's really calm and I was blessed to find him. If I can rate him 0 stars I would. I suffered a pregnancy loss, and was told by him, my primary care AND the hospital it was safe to proceed with a natural miscarriage so I did. Several weeks later I believed I had a natural miscarriage, I bled for 2 weeks and tissue had passed. During my waiting time I went to urgent care about 3 times to make sure my health was still fine and made sure it was okay to wait. After this I had no issues. My follow up apt was elsewhere and it was telehealth and they confirmed my miscarriage had passed. No infections, no fever, no more bleeding. I felt completely fine! A month passed and I got a positive pregnancy test so I scheduled a vaginal ultrasound to double check it was a new pregnancy and not HCG from my previous pregnancy. The staff at this location and he insisted it was a new pregnancy, how can I pass tissue and bleed and it not be a miscarriage? He went from "this is a new pregnancy" to "this is another miscarriage" to "this is the same baby in your womb from your previous pregnancy" in just 35 minutes and had me incredibly overwhelmed with all the information I was processing. He then shamed me, he told me I made a huge mistake by having a natural miscarriage instead of having a procedure done and insisted I neglected my health for holding a dead fetus for so long (although he told me it was safe to have a natural miscarriage and we had all thought including him that it was certain since I passed tissue and blood). The things he had told me were so horrible and unprofessional and on top of that he had a nurse in there who I assume was a student? I didn't mind but she didn't introduce herself nor did he introduce or or asked for my consent for another person to be in the room both times. He then told me I can die, he used these exact words, "I'm really so scared for your life, you can die and lose your uterus because of this decision you made" and sent me to a one star hospital that I've never even been to for an emergency procedure he could've done, I mean he is a gynecologist after all right? I was there for 13 hours and sent home bc I wasn't in emergency. I had no infection, fever or bleeding and the doctors at this hospital insisted I report him. I was so shocked at his behavior, I never had a doctor basically scold me and shame me before. My insurance scheduled me an apt with planned parenthood where I was shown so much empathy and professional care and even the gynos there told me that he doesn't have the best reputation and to report him as well. Both locations urged me to never go to him again. He was so neglectful and unprofessional. He should be so ashamed of himself. I learned my experience was rare, sometimes the body will try to process a miscarriage and bleed but fail to actually release the fetus and it wasn't my fault. The hospital he sent me to and planned parenthood reassured me and showed me proof I was not at risk of dying or losing my uterus like Farid said, and I had no signs or symptoms of any complications. My blood work, urine tests and ultrasounds were normal. I was incredibly neglected under medical care from multiple locations including him. I absolutely do not recommend him for gynecology or prenatal care whatsoever. Do not even consider him, everyone deserves to have the best care during their pregnancy and even during their losses. I never write reviews but my experience with him was so horrible and traumatic that I feel I have to warn other women about him. His bedside manner is HORRIBLE! I did not receive care from him, I received negligence, shame and arrogance. I can't believe he is still licensed after my experience and seeing the other reviews. They have beyond great staff. Dr.Yasharpour is the best. I am grateful my friend recommended him to me. Everyone that works in this office is so helpful and kind. I appreciate Dr.Yasharpour and his team for making me lessed stressed during my prenatal care visits. I love this clinic when I was delivering he came by a couple times before delivery to check on baby and me. He helped me with my vaginal birth I was close to getting a C-section because my baby's heart rate was going down but he helped me go thru with the vaginal birth and had a healthy baby I'm so grateful for my Dr and my experience with Dr.Yarsharpour read more
