Lately a disappointment. If you need to schedule an impromptu, urgent appointment (with in a couple…read moreof days)...good luck with that. We have tried calling her every day to see if a slot has opened up to no avail and have been instructed to go to an emergency room or urgent care center if it is truly that serious by the medical assistant who answers the phone (!). Also, she works only 3 days a week and one of those days is usually a half day. My old family doctor in Illinois worked 5 days a week, was a mother of a newborn, and a toddler, managed (somehow) to fit an appointment with my elderly father within 24 hours and visit him when he would have to be hospitalized...and if she couldn't do it her partner would cover...who was also an awesome doc, now that I think about it. Needless to say we are looking for a new doctor that can help us when an emergency arises. It has been a rough two weeks and my wife urgently needs some attention.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fiala's for a few years now and would highly recommend her. With some…read moreother doctors I have felt like they are in a hurry to get to the next appointment but Dr. Fiala has never made my appointments feel rushed and seems to really listen to my concerns. When I have needed an appointment at the last minute, it is rare that they can't fit me in withing a day or 2. Also, being a "self-pay" patient, I find her to be very affordable for my general health care. I have had a few issues concerning billing and communication but they have always been addressed promptly and politely. It may be a medical practice but I understand that it is also a business and there will occasionally be employees who are not as polite or possess great customer service skills. A polite letter or email directly to Dr. Fiala citing these concerns has always resulted in a positive response. If you are in the West Seattle area and are looking for a caring doctor in your neighborhood so you can avoid the frustration of I-5 traffic, give Dr. Fiala a call.

Ive had less than great experiences here (still haven't got my referral for an allergy specialist…read morerequested several times a year ago-Melanie Wood) This review is more about Dawn Schwarz as a primary care provider than the clinic itself. I can't tell you how many times she's gone above and beyond for me, personally. I know many, many others who can say the same. Dawn Schwarz treats her patients with respect and professionalism. She's accessible, knowledgeable and clearly intensely dedicated to her work. There are truly very few practioners that I've met that really go above and beyond the way she has for me, and the people I care for/bring to her for appointments. When she leaves, this clinic will have lost the greatest thing they have going for them.

Avoid this place. They have no patient portal. Dr. Eppel is nice enough but very opinionated and…read morepreachy, and the things he preaches about are questionable. He has an outdated approach to whole-person care, and doesn't tend to consider that you've lived in your body longer than he's been being consulted about it. Regarding medication management: Best case scenario, they have a lack of knowledge about the legal requirements surrounding medication management. Worst case, they were exploiting my need for a mental health drug to get me in for office visits and expected me to be ignorant of the laws, which I am not. (THERE ARE NO REQUIREMENTS FOR REGULAR FOLLOW UPS) that is a DEA suggestion. A single in person visit within 6 months is required ONLY if prescription was issued via telehealth. Do your research, know your rights.
