As others have stated, she promises a lot, reels you in with 'three men' quick deal and $45/hr ruse -- but the guys slouch off -- 3 guys pulling at one piece of weed as the $45/hr ticks away. I paid her almost 5k and had to hire a landscaper to do the work properly and completely. The worst part of the debacle is, when I confronted her that the guys(who lives with her) were only working 20% of the time, she didn't deny it; she stated, "I know" but she still billed me for 100% work hours. The woman is conniving and dishonest. We just bought a house in Stone Ridge; there were all sorts of vine choking out the tree, the grass needed thrashing, a simple general landscaping cleanup. Veronica's proposal to me is: "I'll bring in a big machine with a rake; it'll yank down the vine and thrash the grass in minutes." This did not happen. In reality, she had three guys pulling vines off one tree then onto the next, etc...This ate up a LOT of the @$45/hr. This is just an example of her decrepit deceit. As well, she refused to write anything down aforehand. And, yes, I did ask before work began for a write up of the scope of the work to be done. She showed up with nothing even after I reminded her the night before to bring it. In her desperate attempt to steel more money from me, she showed up a fourth day continuing the same dog and pony show -- I told her to exit my property in no uncertain terms. We met with Veronica for landscaping areas of our home. Like other disappointed customers she missed appointments, never showed up when she said she would, and she was not cheap! We paid good money for fair work. I don't get it, why do businesses act like this? As if they are doing you a favor? Of all the work they performed 90% had to be redone by others. All the plants died in one area. I am now looking for a landscaper and money is not the concern, good reliable service IS! We just didn't get this from Veronica and she didn't seem to care. read more

Veronica hustled us into using three men for a simple yard job when we requested only one, or two at the very most. She said said that three would do the simple job quicker and would cost us less. She also slipped that she needed to keep them busy. She gave us a written estimate and said that the estimate would be the top price but more likely it would end up costing less. When she delivered the material, with the men, it was on a small truck that could not contain all the material we paid for, so they had to make three trips, which then extended the hours we had to pay the three men. Their hourly wages were high. When she dropped them off she was overheard telling them to spend the entire day here. So it was a ruse that three would finish the day quicker. The final cost far exceeded the top estimate. She talked over us when we tried to talk to her about the final bill. Which we paid, but never again. Very shady! read more

Nothing but disappointment from this fiasco. Veronica was scattered and forgot all of my appointments. It was necessary to continually prod and remind her of the appointments we had. The final project was truly mediocre. She admittedly brought the wrong plants and promised to replace a particularly expensive dying azalea, today in fact, after saying she would be here yesterday. Now, no word from her. I am so sorry I paid her already. Live and learn. Stay away from this scatterbrained operation. read more

Veronica and her crew came in and transformed my landscaping. My land had been a made a mess, rocky and uneven as the result of a construction job. She really knows what she's doing and managed her crew to quickly and efficiently even the land, bring in soil, plant bushes that I could never have done by hand and make my home the place I want it to be. I am very grateful. In addition, her nursery on Kripplebush in Stone Ridge is mostly home grown and affordable. Maybe not as fancy as some of the other nurseries but Veronica knows her stuff. She has a big selection of plants, is always helpful with information about what the deers may leave alone, types of soil needed for your plants to survive and what may look good in your garden. I recommend both her gardening services and the nursery, you won't be disappointed. read more
