I had an angular lob that had grown out, so all I wanted was a trim in order to even out the ends and bring the length up to touch my shoulders. I told Carol that I had existing layers, but I didn't want the layers to go too high on my head because I wear my hair naturally curly. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. I ended up with a mullet with one side longer than the other. Carol kept saying my thick hair needed to be thinned out, so she created 2 inch layers that encircled my entire head. I cannot even side part my hair because the layers are so short and they stick straight up when I try to do that. I would think that creating short layers makes thick, curly hair appear thicker, so I don't know why she did that. I went back and had it fixed by Kathy, who was absolutely wonderful. I do not recommend Carol for curly or thick hair. She just graduated from hair school and needs more training. I feel she should have declined to cut my hair if she didn't know how to cut curly hair. I'm still rating the salon as 4 stars because I had a great experience in the past with Michelle and Kathy did an amazing job making Carol's work into an actual bob

Sammi took it from that to a really lovely beige blonde, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. The correction took about 4 hours and ran roughly ~$120/hour, which felt fair given how much work went into fixing it. I waited to post this until it had grown out some, because that's the real test of a good color job, and it's held up seamlessly. No weird line where the old color meets new growth, no brassiness creeping back in. That tells me she really got the formula right, not just a quick fix that looks good for two weeks.
