I attended the nuptials of a lovely bride and groom on April 3rd, 2026 in Chino Hills and Djsergiogee started the ceremony with "the bride and groom paid a lot of money for the photographer, so we don't want to see any phones in the air," apparently DJ Sergio G must have been the financial advisor for the wedding because he wouldn't stop talking about money! Master of Ceremony Skills: negative 10 out of 5 After the ceremony, he continued setting up his equipment, well after guests filled the ballroom. We watched as he taped up the cables and set up a 4' white screen to hide his equipment. Then he made an announcement... he welcomed guests to approach his booth to make song requests, but he cautioned us to not "touch or lean on the screen" because he had a guest at another event who broke it and it was "very expensive." Even told us that it was $900. Then he called our attention to the doors behind him, pointed out that they were blocked from the other side to deter use of the doors unintentionally, (which was obvious) but then continued to tell us not to go behind the booth to use those doors, and what ramifications we might experience if we tried. Then he began to release us to eat, but again, warned us to be "polite" to the servers and to not "rush them" because they worked really hard to cook for us. Then he reminded all of is that he too worked really hard, because he had to "get there early to set up." The guests were comprised of civilized human beings who follow social norms and etiquette. Nothing warranted his tone or demeanor towards us. DJ Skills: 1 out of 5 For the majority of the night, he let his Spotify list play automatically as he walked around socializing with guests and bragging about his other job as a "master technician for Subaru" where he makes "$150,000 a year" and he "knows his worth" and that's why he doesn't take "a bunch of little $500 jobs," instead, he's "worth $2000 per job." Then he noticed that tables started dismissing themselves for dinner, so he vowed to "call them out" for it. Every time he handed the mic over for someone to speak, he had to do a mic check. Every. Time. At the end of the night, when he was stationed in his booth, he began deejaying. He danced and pumped his fist in the air to the beat of the music... just in time to showboat to a potential client whom he invited to watch him at this private event. He announced that the bride and groom like techno but then only played 3 techno songs. So if you want a DJ who treats your guests like they need to be taught manners, has no charisma or mic presence, is hyper-fixated about money, and has a need for public retaliation when people don't follow his instructions, then DJ Sergio G is the one for you!
